Where can you relax during the year? Where in Russia to relax with children at sea and not go broke

Traveling with children is troublesome and expensive.

Over the course of five years, my wife and two children and I visited almost two dozen Russian cities. When traveling around Russia, we try to choose a middle ground: we don’t live in hostels or stay in luxury hotels. On average we pay 3000-3500 for four people with breakfast R per day.

travels with children

I have marked on the map the main cities, towns and entertainment for children:

Anapa

Anapa is one of the main children's resorts in the country. There are 200 children's sanatoriums, camps and holiday homes. Every year 350 thousand children vacation there, so parks, beaches and transport are aimed primarily at young travelers. It’s comfortable to move around the city: there are convenient sidewalks almost everywhere, and there are children’s playgrounds in squares and parks. The most entertainment is on the beaches and Pionersky Avenue - the longest street in the city, which is located along the coast.

18 kilometers from Anapa in the village of Bolshoy Utrish there is the only dolphinarium in Russia at open water. Dolphins live in the Black Sea lagoon, and spectators watch the performances from a platform on the shore. Tickets are sold on the website. Entrance for an adult and a child over 7 years old costs 1000 RUR, for children from 3 to 7 years old - 400 RUR.

If you want to see dolphins and even swim with them for free, go to the beach in the village of Blagoveshchenskaya. It is located 23 kilometers from Anapa airport and 40 kilometers from the city. There, dolphins swim right next to vacationers. They may not be visible from the water, but they are clearly visible from the shore.

In the village of Sukko, 20 kilometers from Anapa, you can attend knightly performances at the Lion's Head theater, shoot with a bow or crossbow, visit a forge and pottery workshop, and ride horses. A ticket to the evening performance costs 500 RUR for adults and 400 RUR for children over 6 years old. Children under 6 years old accompanied by an adult are admitted free of charge. The schedule is on the theater website.

How to get there. You can get from Moscow to Anapa in a day by train. A ticket for a compartment costs from 2500 RUR, for a reserved seat - from 1700 RUR.

We know how to relax for pennies

The airport is located 17 kilometers from Anapa in the village of Vityazevo. A new terminal was opened there in 2017. The plane flies for 2 hours, the ticket costs from 2700 RUR. In summer there are direct flights from the regions. At the airport there is a comfortable room for mother and child.

How much does housing cost? A small house with air conditioning, a bathroom and a toilet 30 minutes from the sea in the village of Blagoveshchenskaya can be rented for 1200 RUR per day. An all-inclusive hotel room in the center of Anapa costs from 5,000 RUR.

Gelendzhik

The main attraction of Gelendzhik is the twelve-kilometer embankment: this is one of the longest coastal walking areas in Europe. There are many cafes, shops, playgrounds and other entertainment. In the parks there are benches under the trees - you can relax and hide from the heat. The children and I could spend half a day on the embankment, just walking and enjoying the views. There are beaches nearby, mostly sandy and with good access to the sea.

The largest water park in Russia operates in Gelendzhik. open air- "Golden Bay". Its area of 15 hectares is the same as 20 football fields. The park not only has waterslides, swimming pools and attractions, but also an arboretum with 88 species of plants from around the world. Tickets are sold not by age, but by height. For visitors with a height of 106 to 145 cm, admission costs 900 RUR, for those taller - 1750 RUR. Children under 106 cm are admitted free of charge.

In Gelendzhik you can also go to the mountains in jeeps. There is a family route without extreme climbs with visits to waterfalls, a health park and healing mud springs.

You can arrange an excursion while walking around the city. Cars with large wheels and driver contacts are parked in many crowded places: next to Sycamore Alley, cinema "Burevestnik", shopping center"Gelendzhik". You can also look for information on local travel websites.

How to get there. The train goes only to Novorossiysk. A ticket for a compartment costs from 2200 RUR, for a reserved seat - from 1600 RUR. Then you need to take a bus to Gelendzhik. The Novorossiysk bus station does not have a website - you can find out the schedule and buy tickets on Avtoticket.com. The fare is from 100 RUR.

A plane ticket from Moscow costs from 3500 RUR. In summer there are direct flights from the regions. In the off-season there are few flights - you can get there by bus from Krasnodar, Novorossiysk or other large cities.

How much does housing cost? There are enough hotels and sanatoriums in Gelendzhik. A room with air conditioning in a private house can be rented for 700 RUR per day, the room is in good guest house will cost 3500 RUR.

It is better to go with children to the nearest villages - Divnomorskoye and Dzhanhot. They are located approximately 20 km from the city. There are lower prices and fewer tourists. A room two minutes from the sea with free parking will cost 3,000 RUR.

Yeysk

The Azov Sea is shallow and warm, and the climate there is not as hot as on Black Sea coast. Holidays in Yeisk can be combined with treatment at mud deposits. There are two of them: on Lake Khanskoye and at the base of the Dolzhanskaya Spit.

Getting to Dolzhanskaya Spit is faster and easier - it is located only 40 kilometers from Yeysk. You can take a tour, but it’s cheaper and easier to rent a car or order a taxi for 700-800 R . If you have your own car, there are several campsites near Dolzhanskaya. Along the way you can buy fresh watermelons and melons straight from the melon plant.

How to get there. They travel to Yeysk with a transfer: first by train to the village of Starominskaya, then by bus, train or taxi. A compartment ticket for a train from Moscow will cost 3500 RUR, a reserved seat ticket - 1500 RUR.

You can also fly to Rostov-on-Don for 5000-7000 R one way and then transfer to the bus. Travel time is from 3.5 to 5 hours. Departure is from the city bus station on Siversa Street, 1. Tickets cost from 430 RUR and are sold on the bus station website.

How much does housing cost? Accommodation prices start from RUR 500 per night per person. Find the best deals at in social networks for the request “housing in Yeisk”.

A small house for four with air conditioning, a washing machine, a private shower and toilet cost 2,000 RUR in June, and 2,400 RUR in July and August. You can find housing for 200 R per person, but it will be a plywood outbuilding with an outdoor shower, an outdoor toilet and a shared summer kitchen.

Kuchugury

The resort village of Kuchugury is located on the shores of the Sea of Azov on Taman Peninsula. It has not yet been spoiled by the attention of tourists: the holiday here is quiet and peaceful, suitable for very young children. Local farmers sell their fruits and vegetables at the market. There are two seas nearby - the Azov and the Black.

Another popular entertainment for children is the Sochi Park amusement park. In 2017, it took 23rd place in the top 25 amusement parks in Europe according to Tripadvisor. The space is divided into 6 thematic zones, there are playgrounds, a dolphinarium, and a rope park. Every day there are performances and concerts for children. Most entertainment included single ticket, which costs 1900 RUR for adults and 1700 RUR for children over 5 years old.

Sochi Park is open all year round, including the winter months. In summer, it is better to go there in cloudy weather: there is nowhere to hide from the heat in the park, and children will quickly get tired in the sun.

On the territory of the park there is a castle-hotel “Bogatyr”. Reviews from tourists about it are contradictory: we only went there for lunch. The buffet for four cost 1,800 RUR and we didn’t like it: the choice of dishes was poor, the taste and quality were not up to par, and the room was dirty. We wouldn't risk eating there all the time.

If you want to take a break from the heat and urban development, go to the Sochi Arboretum. More than 1,800 species of plants from all over the world are collected there. There are enclosures with parrots, ostriches and peacocks, swans, ducks and pelicans swim in the pond.

The two parts of the park, upper and lower, are separated by a resort avenue and connected by a cable car. In three minutes it takes visitors to a height of 170 meters, where there is an observation deck.

Adult ticket for cable car costs 350 RUR, for the park - 250 RUR, for children from 7 to 14 years old - 200 and 120 RUR, respectively. For children under seven years of age, ascent and entry to the park are free. Payment only in cash.

How to get there. The cheapest tickets are in October, November, January and February. A round trip flight from Moscow costs 3000-7000 R . During the season it is difficult to find a one-way ticket cheaper than 4000 RUR.

It takes about a day to travel by train from Moscow. In the summer, a ticket for a reserved seat costs from 2500 RUR, for a compartment - from 4000 RUR. There are direct routes from many Russian regions and even neighboring countries.

Where to relax in the summer in Russia?

Where to go to Ukraine in the summer of 2014?Where to relax abroad in the summer of 2014?

Where to relax in the summer in Russia?

For those who prefer not to travel too far on holiday, there are many options for choosing a holiday destination in Russia. Fortunately, our country, thanks to its size and diversity of nature, abounds in places where you can relax. And, of course, Sochi comes to mind first.

Holidays in Sochi

This city is rightly called the Pearl of the Russian Black Sea region. They also say that this place was born from the mountains and the sea. Sochi is a completely special city, unlike any other place. That is why it is better to see it with your own eyes. The longest in all of Europe, Sochi stretches for 145 (!) km. Another feature of Sochi is its climate. It is completely unique and special here, created by the mountains and the sea.

By the way, Sochi is located approximately at the same latitude as Toronto and Nice. A stunning combination of majestic Caucasus mountains and the Black Sea creates a mild climate. Throughout the whole year in Sochi you can enjoy great holiday– there is always something to do here. Sochi is full of entertainment that will not let you get bored for a minute. The good thing about the city is that everyone will find something to their liking here. After all, some people love active recreation, while for others there is no better leisure activity than just spending time quietly in a peaceful environment. Well, the third category of vacationers enjoy visiting museums, going on excursions and going to theaters during their vacation. All these people will find the most suitable activity for them in Sochi. Rafting on a fast mountain river, parachute flight, climbing mountains, relaxing holiday on the beach or in the park, visiting art galleries and museums - all this, and much more, Sochi can offer you.

The issue of housing in Sochi is quite important, so it is better to take care of its solution in advance. This could be staying in a hotel, of which there are a lot here - from relatively inexpensive to luxurious. There are sanatoriums and boarding houses in Sochi where you can not only stay, but also improve your health. There is another type of accommodation during vacation - renting an apartment or room in a private house. Any of these options has both positive and negative sides.

Holidays on Baikal

Baikal is an amazing place. The most deep lake on Earth is located in Eastern Siberia and amazes with its majestic beauty. The harsh nature and stunningly clear water attract lovers here extreme recreation, tourists, fishermen and simply connoisseurs wildlife. The good thing about Baikal is that you can come here almost always - even in winter you can relax around the lake. Summer is great for swimming and fishing. In June it can still be quite cool here, but July and August are quite warm and good for relaxation.

IN Lately The tourist infrastructure of these places is developing by leaps and bounds. Hotels are being built and guest houses, recreation centers, cruise ships ply on the waters of the lake - all this gives the opportunity to choose the type of recreation that suits every guest of this wonderful place.

Rest on Seliger

Another lake that will become wonderful place recreation. Located in the Tver and Novgorod regions, it is famous for its nature, as well as flora and fauna. For fishing lovers, Seliger will be a real find. Its waters are home to about thirty species of fish, including pike perch, bream, burbot, ide and many others. As for larger animals, in the vicinity of Seliger you can find elk, wolves, bears, raccoons, foxes, beavers and other mammals.

Lake Seliger is especially popular among lovers of different types of tourism - cycling, water and automobile. As for places to stay, just like on Lake Baikal, there are several accommodation options. This could be renting housing directly from the owners, staying in a hotel, at a recreation center, or in one of the guest houses.

Where to go in Ukraine in the summer of 2014?

Ukraine will become good choice places for rest. Due to the fact that there are two mountain ranges on its territory - the Carpathian and Crimean mountains, and the south of the country is washed by two seas - the Black and Azov, the nature here is truly beautiful and unique in its own way. Ancient cities dating back to the times of Kievan Rus, witness cities of the Zaporozhye Cossacks, the remains of ancient castles and fortresses - all this awaits you here, in the vastness of sunny Ukraine.

This city is located in the Zaporozhye region, on the shores of the Azov Sea. Berdyansk rightfully takes the place of the famous mud and climatic resort, so people come here not only to relax and swim in the sea, but also to improve their failing health. In Berdyansk, treatment with healing mud, estuary brine and thalassotherapy is practiced. It is most useful to go here for people suffering from diseases of the nervous system and musculoskeletal system, gynecological and respiratory organs.

Berdyansk is also good because, unlike Crimea, there are no sudden temperature changes that can cause illness in people with poor health. Due to the fact that the Sea of Azov is relatively shallow, the water in it warms up earlier than in the Black Sea. This allows you to enjoy swimming in warm water for a long time - beach season begins here in April-May and continues until the last days of September.

The abundance of museums and monuments makes Berdyansk attractive for supporters of cultural recreation. As for housing, relatively low prices attract people to Berdyansk a large number of tourists. Holidays here can be very different - from fashionable to economical options.

Like Berdyansk, Mariupol is located on the shores of the Azov Sea. Although relaxation in the city itself is not bad, the proximity to the metallurgical plant and the commercial port makes it still not as pleasant as in nearby villages, and there are many of them in the vicinity of Mariupol: these are Urzuf and Azov Yalta, Novoazovsk and Sopino, Melekino and Sedovo , as well as other villages. Rest there will be more calm and measured, and the environmental situation will still not be as tense as in industrial Mariupol. Well, this city occupies one of the leading places in all of Ukraine in terms of the amount of emissions of harmful substances into the air. It is for this reason that it will be safer to choose one of the nearby villages. You can choose a place to stay in them in different price ranges - from prestigious mini-hotels to renting a room in the private sector.

Holidays in Yalta (Crimea, Black Sea)

Yalta is a real pearl of Crimea. Located on the South Coast, Yalta is considered one of the best, most expensive and fashionable resorts on the peninsula. The advantageous location of the city - the mountains here come almost close to the sea itself - makes Yalta attractive to tourists not only from neighboring countries, but also from more distant countries.

In fact, there is the city of Yalta itself and the so-called Greater Yalta - a territory with a length of 70 km, which is subordinate to the Yalta City Council. Yalta itself is full of green parks; in close proximity to the city is the famous Nikitsky Botanical Garden. In addition, there are many museums and monuments, temples and beaches. Actually to Big Yalta include many nearby settlements and, accordingly, their attractions. This makes it possible to attribute Livadia and Vorontsov Palaces, the famous Swallow's Nest, the Dulber and Kichkin Palaces in Koreiz, the Ayu-Dag and Ai-Petri mountains, as well as many other memorable places.

Yalta has many beaches, but at the height of the season, finding a free place here can be a challenge. All beaches of Yalta are pebbly. Most of them are paid; entrance here can vary from 10 to 150 hryvnia. However, there is also a free beach - Primorsky. Yalta is home to many luxury hotels, such as the famous Yalta-Intourist, and other luxury hotels. There are sanatoriums, recreation centers and guest houses here.

This city is attractive to many tourists for its rich history, gentle sea, as well as a large number of architectural, cultural and historical monuments. The name of the city translates as “Given by God,” and this name is fully justified.

The climate here is not as harsh as on the South Coast, and occupies an intermediate position between steppe and subtropical. The temperature almost always stays above zero, so you can relax in the city not only in the summer. However, it is in the summer that it is best here.

Another pleasant feature of Feodosia is its sandy, rather than pebble, beaches. So, let's take a look at the popular destinations for spoiled Western tourists to fly to these days!

1. Amangiri/Lake Powell, Utah/Antelope Canyon, Arizona

Why? The breathtaking beauty of the surrounding landscape makes this place unlike any other in the United States. This place is just a four-hour drive from Phoenix or Las Vegas, and just a stone's throw away by private jet.

I haven't been to Antelope Canyon. The Indians are holding it. When I got there, I didn't take into account the time difference between California and Arizona, and the canyon was closed. But judging by the reviews of people who go there, it really is one of the most exciting places in the USA. So if someone goes to Grand Canyon and the surrounding area, this place is a must visit! I dream myself, this is a must see.

2. Palermo/Sicily, Italy

Why? The island of Sicily boasts some of the most amazing places in the world, for example, the legendary Valley of the Temples, where the ruins of seven Doric temples are preserved among stunning landscapes with almond groves and olive trees. By the way, I haven’t been to Palermo either and I want to too, so the list is right for me!

Patagonia - definitely yes.

5. Kigali, Rwanda

Why? Rwanda as a whole and Kigali as the capital and gateway to the country are recovering from the genocide that befell the previous generation. Kigali is a clean and safe city with many interesting educational places, ranging from world-class contemporary art exhibitions to fashion, handicrafts and even a coffee co-op run by women who make the best coffee in the world.

I wouldn’t say anything about Kigali at all... Here you need to understand that Rwanda after the end civil war has indeed become quite a rich country. For those who are going to Kigali, I would recommend watching a couple of films - “Hotel Rwanda” and “Shooting Dogs”. This hotel still exists, and there is also a Genocide Museum in the city. That is, a trip to Rwanda is not so much an adventure , how much study of sad history.

6. Marrakesh, Morocco

Why? You will never forget candlelit dinners in the middle of the desert, camel rides, belly dancers and fire eaters.

I don’t like Morocco, because recently the country has become too touristy, there are a lot of scammers there, they constantly demand money from you... It has become too Egyptianized. I just don't feel very comfortable there.

Why? IN last years Tel Aviv has become a gastronomic center. Peek into the white Bauhaus buildings along the wide, tree-lined promenades.

Tel Aviv - yes, too, and primarily for the food. It’s super tasty, it’s a party place, and in general Tel Aviv is a very cool city!

9. Atacama Desert, Chile

Why? This desert, located at an altitude of 2438 meters above sea level, is often compared to the Arches National Park or National Canyonlands Park in Utah. You can spend most time, hiking and biking the surrounding mountains and canyons, bird watching and visiting picturesque villages and ancient ruins.

I haven’t been to Atacama, I can’t say anything.

Somehow I didn’t go to Tennessee either.

Why? Montenegro, the hidden treasure of the Adriatic, is becoming an increasingly desirable Mediterranean destination and is no longer seen as Croatia's poor neighbor. Montenegro today is becoming a luxurious destination. Was not.

16. Machu Picchu/Cusco, Peru

Why? Peru has great culture, history, nature and cuisine. And, of course, Machu Picchu. That says it all.

Machu Picchu – yes, although I don’t really like the hyped attractions. In addition, it is quite difficult to get there. In principle, it is possible and even interesting, but you need to understand that this is too touristy a place. If someone is looking for some kind of magic from Machu Picchu, then they probably won’t find it there.

17. Melbourne, Australia

Why? A cosmopolitan city famous for art and high level life. It's much more like Europe than Sydney. Melbourne's street art is inimitable and changes almost every day.

Mendoza is really cool, with beautiful vineyards, but there are many equally cool places in the world.

19. Vira Vira, Chile

Why? In the spring in the southern hemisphere, you can go skiing or snowshoeing down the slope in the morning active volcano Villarrica, and then in the afternoon go in a sweatshirt through the forest to the waterfalls or down a rushing river. This destination is attractive all year round.

I don’t know anything about Vir-Vir.

20. San Miguel de Allende, Mexico

Why? This perfect place for wealthy travelers who prefer to stay in elegant places. Travelers are advised to combine their vacation with a visit to Mexico City to purchase art.

And I haven’t been to San Miguel de Allende either. It’s strange, by the way, that the selection includes two Chiles, two Mexicos, and two towns in the Balkans.
