It has an impressive triangle-shaped gate leading to the Avolokiteshvara Bodhisattva statue (the embodiment of the infinite compassion of all Buddhas or the Goddess of Mercy) in the middle of the courtyard. COCONUT PRISON 
Coconut Prison, also known as Phucok Prison, is located in An Thoi City. The name "coconut" originated during the Indo-Chinese War and the rule of French colonists in Vietnam. Then there were four sectors in the prison: "A", "B", "C" and "D"; the prison is believed to have held up to 14,000 inmates. However, after the end of the Indo-Chinese War, most of the prisoners returned home in accordance with the Geneva Agreements.
With the outbreak of the Vietnam War, American troops built a new prison with the same name. The new prison had separate sections for men, women and the elderly. Over time, in 1966, another part of the prison was built, intended for Vietnamese soldiers serving their sentences. In the new part of the prison, there were 12 separate sections. Each sector has been subdivided into four more sectors. The prison was guarded very strictly, surveillance was conducted around the clock.
Nowadays, since 1986, the "Coconut Prison" has been recognized as a National Historical Heritage Site and now serves as a place for excursions, being a living testimony to war crimes. Some of the instruments of torture that were once tested on prisoners are kept here to this day. For example, you can see the "Katso Tiger Cage", in which the prisoner was in complete darkness for a long time, and after being released from this tiger cage, the prisoners most often became blind.
MAGIC WELL 
Magic well Giếng Ngự located 2 km from An Thoi. The beautiful landscapes of the lake and the verdant mountain slopes of the island undoubtedly cause genuine delight among tourists. On the mountain is a small temple and a pink stone throne known as the "Royal Throne". When approaching the Magic Well, you can see a stele in the place where the "King's Sword" entered, and from where a cool spring came later.
The magic well has not only historical, but also mystical significance, which should not be overlooked by those traveling to Fukok. In the 17th century, fleeing from the pursuing Ta-son troops, King Nguyen and his warriors were exhausted from thirst due to a lack of fresh water... To survive, the king had no choice but to raise his sword to heaven and pray to the Almighty: "If the Almighty still wants to see me king - then, may he send us food and water." As soon as the king thrust his sword into the ground after this prayer, a stream of clear water gushed out from under the ground to everyone's amazement.

Vung Bau Beach
Wung Bau one of the least crowded beaches - except for a couple of small restaurants, you will not find anything here. It is located south of the beach.
The beach is about 4.5 km long and is surrounded by tall grass, palms and casaurines.
The sea is calm in the dry season and quite aggressive in the rainy season. The entrance to the water is shallow with a gradually increasing depth.
On this beach, not only starfish, shells, but also sea urchins are not uncommon, so be careful, watch your step.

Ong Lang Beach
Beach Ong Lang is located on the west coast of the island between the village of Ganh Dau and the main city of the island - Duong Dong.
Ong Lang noticeably different from the rest of the beaches: beach strip here it is periodically interrupted by sections of rocks and stones. Here you can watch not only the most beautiful sunsets of the west coast of the island, but also numerous fishing boats crossing the beach of cows.
The beach is covered with light yellow loose sand, quite clean (hotel staff regularly clean their areas), limited by palm trees and casaurines.
The sea here is clear, green-blue, calm, with a gentle entry into the water, at the beginning of the high season (November - December), occasionally there may be jellyfish.
Along the beach Ong Lang there are a lot of small hotels, guest houses, restaurants, fast food outlets. If you need more variety in restaurants and shops, then go to Duong Dong - 15 minutes and you are there.
Ganh Dau Beach
Beach Gan Bau Beach is located at the northern tip of Phu Quoc Island, near the village of Ganh Dau. Gan Bau Beach It has the shape of a horseshoe, is surrounded by forests, and is covered by low mountains on both sides.
The sand on the beach is yellow, with a significant admixture of ground coral. The sea here is calm, inhabited by various animals (thanks to the presence of corals and stones) - if you wish, you can watch crabs, mollusks, various fish. Opposite the beach you can see the coast of Cambodia (Mount Ta Lon). Fukuoka National Park and Nguyen Trung Truc Temple are nearby and worth a visit.
Right on the beach Gan Bau Beach there are two restaurants where you can taste seafood or national Vietnamese cuisine (the cost of meals starts from 100,000VND). In the village itself you can taste traditional Vietnamese food for 35,000 VND. As of March 2016, there was not a single working ATM here.
There are no hotels on the beach, but you can stay at Ganh Dau.
Sao & Khem Beaches (Bai Sao and Bai Khem)
Beach Sao Beach is located in the southeast of the island, 7 km from the town of An Thoi. This is one of the best beaches not only in Vietnam, but throughout Southeast Asia.
Sao Beach is famous for its white sand - very much like the beaches of the Caribbean.
The best section of the beach is next to the restaurant Paradiso(formerly it was called “No Problem”). In the southern part of the beach, the sand is yellow, coarser, and clean beach difficult to name. Several years ago it was perfect, but now you can see the consequences of its popularity - some areas are covered with debris.
The sea here has a characteristic turquoise hue, shallow (to a depth of more than 100 m).
In the sea you can see many fry of fish, crustaceans, sometimes squid, in September - October there are many starfish near the coast.
Today on the beach Sao Beach you will find many restaurants, bars, small hotels, excursion bureaus, boat and kayak rentals, windsurfing and kitesurfing centers.
Beach Bai Khem located next door, known for its white sand. Until 2014, this part of the island was closed to tourists (there were military facilities here). Now access is free, but contrary to what is written about the beach on the Internet, it cannot be considered comfortable: the coastal waters are rich in fish, shrimps, anchovies, and this has led to the fact that the largest fish market is located here. Anyone who has been to similar markets in Vietnam at least once knows that there is no need to talk about cleanliness here.
In the near future, the authorities plan to close the fish market here and convert the beach exclusively for tourism.
Long Beach
Long Beach It is the epicenter of a beach holiday in Fukuoka - 20 km of golden sand, turquoise sea and gorgeous sunsets.
The beach is located on the west coast of the island, just 10 minutes from the international airport. It is comfortable to sunbathe, swim, practice here. aquatic species sports, relax and just bask in the sun.

The beach is conventionally divided into 2 parts: north and south.
North of Long Beach has a length of 5 km, starts at the Eden Resort (in Duong Dong, near the new airport) and ends at the rocks near the Trang An Phu Quoc Hotel.
South of Long Beach stretches for 15 km, includes a series of small local beaches (Xep Beach, Dai Do Beach, Duong Co Beach, Duong Xanh Beach, and Vuon Dua Beach). It is not so crowded here, the infrastructure is somewhat less developed than in the northern part. It is worth going here for those who are looking for peace and quiet.

Rach Tram & Rach Vem Beaches
Both beaches are located in the north of the island, surrounded by tropical jungle. The beaches are little visited by tourists - the roads to them are unpaved, the tourist infrastructure is not developed, luxurious nature and heaps of garbage on the shore in the form of broken boats, old nets, plastic boxes, etc. In general, these beaches are waiting for the master's hand.
Thom Beach
Thom Beach located in the north of the island - a very quiet and calm beach, surrounded by thickets of cashews (hazel). You can get here only by a dirt road, the infrastructure is poorly developed, but inexpensive small hotels are still available.

Cua Can Beach

This Fukuoka beach is not very well known to tourists, although it is located only 8 km north of the city of Duong Dong on the west coast of the island behind a fishing village. You can get there by boat or ride over rickety wooden bridges on a bike. The car will not go there.
Bai Thom

This Fukuoka beach may not be as beautiful as Bai Sao, but it has its own unique charm. In addition, there you can arrange a nude photo shoot or make love right under a palm tree. It is not often possible to meet someone there. Absolutely uninhabited place. This beach is located at the extreme point of the northeast of the island, about 35 km from Dong Dong. The best way to get there is by bike.
Bai Vong Beach
