Once again, I welcome you to the beautiful Tunisian beach we reached by boat.
Why go somewhere to the beach if the hotel has quite a good one? For me that is also a mystery, but apparently the organizers wanted to surprise us and they did it. If you want to know how we got there, what we did along the way, rested on the "island", whether we saw flamingos and so on - welcome!

To get into any tourist place first you need to leave the tourist area. You can also find something in it, but behind it, as a rule, it is much more interesting. The main thing is not to get out of one tourist area to another. :)

2.

It seems that I have not shown the Djerba mosque yet. I'm not particularly strong in them, I do not distinguish between Shiite and Sunni, and I cannot say by the type of construction the approximate date of construction and style. Churches are a little easier.

3.

We are not driving long and it looks like, as I wrote above, we are moving from one tourist area to another. Everything is too different from what was opened from the bus window 3 minutes ago. It was not that it was too garbage or ruined, but habitable, but here everything is beautiful, but no one is there.

4.

Hey people!
It was us, with the whole journalistic crowd, who arrived at the Djerba marina near the city of Houmt-Souk - the largest on the island.
Everything here looks almost European. Africa is given out only by date palms, and the fact that this is all tourist we are told by the same pleasure boats, "parked" along the embankment.

5.

We follow the smell and find ourselves in the fishing port. Some fishermen do not hesitate to show their catch.

The rest are dismantling gear, nets, preparing boats for going to sea. The smell is "wonderful". :)
I hope you know how fish smells in the heat at +30 and above? In general, you can't confuse it with anything.

7.

Why no one is loaded on these ships, is there a tourist crisis in Tunisia? I don’t believe that so few people want to ride with "pirates", they just have no idea what they are losing! :)
Probably just sales people in hotels are not finalizing it.

8.

Welcome aboard! "Pirates" are very happy to have guests. They are especially happy when they see the opposite sex. :)

9.

To the soundtrack to "Pirates caribbean"They cleverly give up the mooring lines, and they themselves rush to the mast. It seems they will raise the sails, but no, they show us something like the tricks of trapeze artists, climbing and hovering on the shrouds in every possible way.

10.

In my opinion, all fishing boats should be like that, but if you have such a boat, then most likely you will only catch fish for food and you will not be able to earn anything at all.

11.

In previous posts I have already mentioned safety and now I will show the boat with our guards again.

12.

If you had no plans to burn out in the sun on this particular day, then it was best to be in the shade of the upper deck. Soft drinks, biscuits and delicious halva were also offered here.

13.

It's good for bloggers to sit in the shade, but imagine how difficult it was for those who were here on real business trips, sent on business trips with editorial assignments, these people, disdaining the heat, filmed stories. :)

14.

Do you know why there is such heavy traffic on the water? It's simple. The fairway to the sea passes here. 10 meters to the right or to the left and a depth of 2 meters. The coast of the island is not famous for its great depths. That is why, although one cannot say for sure, the water warms up quickly.

15.

Our skipper confidently drives in the narrow corridor, not forgetting to smile at the photographers.

16.

17.

It would be boring to just sail for almost an hour. Alcoholic drinks were not served, all that was left was to look at the sea and communicate with each other.
But the team had other plans for us. Since we left the fishing port, it made sense to take a net with us and go fishing a little.
There were no indifferent participants in the casting of the net!

18.

It turns out that on this ship the latches differ in M and F! :)

19.

I don't remember exactly, but most likely at that moment the corresponding soundtrack from "Titanic" was played.

20.

We go along the coast of the wide sandy spit Ras R`mal - Sand Head. There are marinas and impressive sheds on the side of the bay for tourist boats.

21.

Surprisingly, they are not bursting with tourists. So there is a chance to come here and not be stunned by the number of people.
Maybe it even makes sense to grab a rod and fish a little?

22.

We moor in the same way as those of our schooners stand and land.
Who remembers that initially our trip was called "to the island of flamingos". After half an hour of torturing our escorts, we finally found out that there are no flamingos here in June. This is almost a beautiful legend and it is extremely rare to find them here.

23.

There are many more camel drivers here than mythical flamingos. The camels did not tempt me. I didn't skate.
They asked us on the beach 10 euros for half an hour.

24.

On one side of the spit there is a bay, and on the other there is an open and shallow sea. Most that for those who have not bought themselves near the hotel on the beach. :)

25.

Or forgot to take a photo.

26.

We spent about an hour here waiting for an additional entertainment program.

28.

kirill_potapov sends hello to everyone! :)

29.

Meanwhile, the entertainment continues. What do tourists love more incendiary Arabic music?

30.

Right. Have a good meal! :)

The girls were specially called, because it was they who, according to the old pirate custom, had to bring cooked food to the tables.

31.

I wish I could sign everyone, but I can only sign Elena mozhet_byt163 from Samara.

32.

Our cap has changed and is dancing with a dish on its head. The most important thing is not to miss anything and photograph. We are the press! :)

33.

It would be absolutely unforgivable not to film what we finally got to taste. Believe me, it was not only beautiful, but also delicious. By the way, lunch was non-alcoholic. If you want to take it, take your own, but it's better not, it's too hot to drink during the day. :)

34.

Better tea, but it is very sweet and almost 100% mint, I had enough for a maximum of a couple of glasses. Some sweet things were also offered, but after such tea it couldn’t come in. If you want to try everything, count your strength.

35.

It's time to board the ship. I took the command "whistle all upstairs" too literally and climbed just above the place where I could be comfortable.

36.

From here, a wonderful view of the bungalow-tent and the surrounding buildings opened up.

37.

The photo is my personal favorite.

38.

He said let's go!

39.

Natalya Seliverstova, the chief photographer of RIA Novosti, does not part with her two Nikons.

40.

Zadorny Konstantin Skripalev.

41.

And the press girls dancing with the pirates. Have their parents never told them that it is at least unwise to get involved with pirates? :)

42.

Arthur from St. Petersburg and Alexander udikov from Kazan are watching with tension the climax of the dance with the pirates.

43.

The rest are just talking.

44.

Say hello from the bowsprit. For a long time we were not allowed to be photographed there. The team got worried and took us out of there. :)

45.

Remember we were throwing a net somewhere here a few hours ago? It's time to get her out! The catch is not rich. There are literally 10 small fish on 30 meters of the net.

46.

And I would like to let go, but such a net seriously injures the fish, it is only for frying.

47.

We return to the port.

48.

All fishing boats have been in place for a long time.

49.

Barely having time to say goodbye to the "pirates" the most desperate, instead of running to the bus, rush to the ships and boats, hoping to shoot something interesting.

50.

Rest between going out to sea without going home. Why waste time, wrap yourself in a blanket and sleep in the shade of the boat!

51.

The mountains of pots for catching octopuses could not leave anyone indifferent.

52.

Such is the siesta in Ramadan from local fishermen. You can't eat or drink, but you can wallow in the shade and chat while watching fussy tourists.

53.

I conclude today's story with a frame with flowers and the sea in the arch.

54.

I will not start to get short posts from 5-10 photos, but only from fifty. :)

Should I continue?

One of the main attractions of the island of Djerba in Tunisia is the island of the Pink Flamingos. These birds nest in colonies on shallow shores and islands of large lakes and seas in Africa, southern Europe and southwest Asia. And since Tunisia is Africa, it means that we were obliged to get to this island.

01. I'll start in order, perhaps. You can go on an excursion from the seaport of the city of Houmt-Souk, where we arrived on a comfortable bus from Anex Tour.

02. This beautiful port, where you can appreciate not only the architecture of Tunisia, but also make sure that the inhabitants of the city and coastal villages simply cannot imagine their life without nets or a harpoon.

03. It's good when you can boast of a good catch.

04. Nets are being dried.

05. And here preparations are in full swing for the next outing to the sea for fish. Fishermen are preparing their nets.

06. And they drive such cars in Tunisia. I believe that this old "Frenchman" is an avid fisherman. We remember with you that a car in Tunisia is, first of all, not a luxury, but a means of transportation.

07. Here we are already approaching the pirate ship, on which we will soon go to the island of pink flamingos. The ships impress with their beauty and uniqueness. Everyone wants to capture them on their cameras. Here is Andrey andrusha_bey not an exception.

08. And I am no exception, of course. Well, is the ship beautiful?

09. It's time to board a real pirate ship with real pirates.

10. Examine the port from the upper deck. All boats are mainly fishing boats. This is understandable.

11. Nearby, someone manages to take a selfie with the port in the background. So this is May Friend Lech lexzag hid his eyes behind fashionable glasses.

12. Let's look around.

13. Everything is visible from the upper deck!

14. In fact, more pirates can be seen from the mast, on which they climbed, performing various acrobatic stunts.

15. It's time to go to interesting journey to the island of pink flamingos along the waves of the Mediterranean Sea.

16. "Captain, right at the helm!"

17. We go almost by touch! The captain is experienced, and with his eyes closed he will not stray off the course.

18. Everything is real here, even the flag is there!

19. In the meantime, the ship is in full swing entertainment... Music plays, pirates entertain the audience.

20. We will also try our luck and throw the net into the sea in order to catch a fish on the way back.

21. In the meantime, it's worth examining our ship. In general, it is in good condition!

22. The people are already in anticipation when an island will appear on the horizon.

23. A military boat accompanied us all the way. This is a question about security, if that.

24. Here it is - the island of pink flamingos, almost nearby.

25. In this place we noticed a jellyfish. You see her, and she is here.

27. So, it seems that on the island we will not be alone.

28. And here is our pier. Pirates, to work, knit strong nautical knots.

29. Everything should be harmonious and clear. The overall result of the command depends on each one.

29. We get down from the ship and see that the island is inhabited. There are traces of ATVs.

30. And even more so the traces of camels. So, don't forget why we came to the island - to see pink flamingos. We go in search of them.

31. They are not here.

32. And here they are not visible.

33. It seems that they are not here either.

34. Unfortunately, our searches were unsuccessful. Pink flamingos didn't want to come to us. We did not become very upset, we swam in the warm sea, swimming away from the jellyfish.

35. And at noon a delicious lunch awaited us in a very pleasant atmosphere. The menu includes Tunisian salad, Tunisian couscous, grilled fish, mint tea, seasonal fruits. Our girls take out food to live music and dancing.

36. Delicious fish, mmm ...

38. Eh, it's a pity we didn't get to see the pink flamingos. But, we were not upset at all, because the atmosphere on the ship, on the island, was conducive to the most positive emotions! It's time to head back to the island of Djerba.

39. And on the ship again dancing to cheerful music.

Everybody dances! When else can you dance on a pirate ship with pirates? It was like this:

40. By the way, remember on the way to the flamingo island we threw the net into the sea? It's time to check it out on the way back.

41. There is even a small catch. Everyone is happy and happy!

42. Our trip to the island of pink flamingos has come to an end. Summarizing this excursion a little, I will say: yes, it is very disappointing that the beautiful birds did not want to fly to us, but we had a great time! And the ship is right and the pirates are funny! The main thing is that we tried the traditional couscous dish. The excursion turned out to be very colorful, I advise!
