What should you know when traveling to Crimea by car? Traveling around Crimea on your own: everything you need to know.

Friends, owning a car is a great opportunity to see, if not the whole world, then at least interesting places in your own country.

With entry into Russia Crimean peninsula, citizens of the Russian Federation remembered the nostalgic Soviet times and rushed to the blessed sea coast. Moreover, many independently, at your own peril and risk and in your own car .

Would you also like to take such a trip, but the fear of an unfamiliar road stops you?

One could listen to the arguments of those who prefer, if not for several points in favor of the car:

  • lack of time frames,
  • baggage restrictions
  • and fellow travelers who are unpleasant for you.

Moreover, the demand for the 2019 season is fueled by the completed mega-construction of the century - the most long bridge in Russia - Crimean Bridge.

I want to assure those who doubt that nothing is impossible! As proof, I provide the route Moscow - Crimea by car, providing it with step-by-step explanations. So, let's go!

Before you set off, let's estimate your expenses and travel time to travel to Crimea from Moscow.

According to calculations on the website avtodispetcher.ru You will have a distance of 1750 km and approximately 20 hours on the road. If there are 2 drivers behind the wheel, then you can try to cover the road in 1 sitting. But is it worth the rush?

I recommend staying overnight in the city of Rostov-on-Don. This is 1000 km from Moscow and 11-12 hours of travel. Having left early in the morning, you will arrive at the place after 15.00. If time permits, you can also stop by the city of temples along the way. Dace or Safari Park "Kudykina Gora" .

In total, you will spend about 6,000 rubles on gasoline and another 1,000 rubles on toll roads one way. And you can find out how much the whole trip to Crimea will cost you.

But the distances to Siferopol from the main cities of Russia:

  • St. Petersburg - 2500 km and 31 hours
  • Nizhny Novgorod - 2000 km and 24 hours
  • Kazan - 2200 km and 1 day of travel
  • Voronezh - 1200 km and 15 hours
  • Krasnodar - 450 km and 6 hours
  • Ekaterinburg - 2950 km and 33 hours

Crimean Bridge across the Kerch Strait - the basis of the route

The Crimean Bridge is the most optimal route to Crimea from Moscow. Despite the fact that it is 300 kilometers longer than traveling through the Ukrainian peninsula, this route is the most optimal.

And that's why:

  1. Every now and then a car will appear from the window in front of you. beautiful landscapes. You can stop and take a break.
  2. No need to cross twice (do you need it?)
  3. Most of Your route will take you along excellent motorway surfaces.

In 2019, compared to 2018, the cost of the road decreased by 4,000 rubles.

Now there is no need to pay a coin to the mythical “old man Charon” for transportation to the other side of the strait. And the residents Krasnodar region they can go to Crimea just for the weekend.

If you want to learn more about the Crimean Bridge and prepare for the trip, see the official website - most.life .

From Moscow to Port Kavkaz

Crossing the Don

Today, to travel to Crimea, motorists use the updated highway "Don" M4-E115. It is considered the best in the Russian Federation and was specially reconstructed for the Sochi Olympics. The road is perfectly flat, two-lane in each direction.

But you have to pay for every convenience, so Moscow to Voronezh you'll have to post it 1 ruble for every kilometer driven. True, not everywhere; the road is divided into certain paid and free sections.

Paid section of the route roundtrip will cost you approximately 2000 rub . (You can save a lot if you skip some sections at the night rate).

But a fast and comfortable ride more than compensates for the unpleasant aftertaste of parting with your hard-earned money saved for vacation. After all, you see, good roads are a rarity for us Russians.

Now attention!

Sections of a free highway from a toll highway can only be distinguished by the corresponding road signs. But either because of fatigue, or for some other reason, you may not pay attention to them. And the permitted speed of movement on them is different (on the free route - up to 90 km per hour). And if you exceed this limit, you will definitely be stopped by a police inspector. Be careful!

Also "Don" It is well cleaned along the roadsides and is equipped with developed roadside infrastructure. The permitted speed on the toll road is 130 km. The only problem with the supersonic track is that lighting is not installed everywhere for comfortable night driving.

Rostov is behind

After you reach Rostov-on-Don y, you need to take a course on Port "Caucasus" . You can do this by choice:

  • Drive through Timashevsk and the village of Kislyakovskaya.
  • Head towards Krasnodar and go around it along the bypass road.

The final destination in both cases will be the city Slavyansk-on-Kuban. This path is again more attractive for those who prefer good road. There are also more shortcut, but less comfortable: Rostov-Krasnodar-Krymsk-Anapa-Kerch .

With the commissioning of the Crimean Bridge, the route to Crimea has remained virtually unchanged. Motorists are still heading to Temryuk, and from there they can either move to Peresyp and then turn south onto the bridge, or through the village of Bely to the highway leading to the Krymsky Bridge.

If you want to calculate the distance to Crimea online right now, then any interactive map from the Internet. But I recommend checking the distances and gas consumption for your forced march on the website: avtodispetcher.ru

And this is a relevant video for those who are going on a journey. There are quite useful recommendations on the choice of routes and lanes.

To Crimea by ferry across the bridge!

All! No more queues for the toilet and for loading onto the ferry, online tickets for 1,700 rubles and playing roulette “will we manage to get to Crimea before dark or not.” The Crimean Bridge was built and automobile transport Already with a whistle at speeds of up to 110 km/h (allowed 90 + 20 in advance) it began its movement to Crimea in mid-May.

But be careful! Just before the entrance to the bridge from the Caucasus side, a Taman traffic police post was installed with speed limit signs 70-50-30. Don’t fly it at your favorite 110 km/h, for which they may ask for rights!

On this moment the work of the Crimean crossing has been reoriented to freight transport of more than 3.5 tons, which does not have a green signal to cross the bridge until the end of autumn. Now they can only move on it cars, Shuttle Buses and cyclists (pedestrians are prohibited!).

By the way, on the bridge itself there is a quite wide shoulder - 1.25 m for comfortable travel on a bicycle. But, like other traffic participants, It is prohibited to stop on the bridge and cyclists. This is clearly monitored by cameras.

The only thing that now causes criticism is the preservation of the cost of a ticket for travel at the “ Single ticket ". The cost part for bus travel through ferry crossing, but no one has changed the ticket price yet.

It is useful to know that in Crimea the implementation of another project is now in full swing - the Tavrida highway, which will connect the Crimean Bridge with Sevastopol with a highway of a completely new level.

The completion date for construction will be in 2020, but the Kerch-Simferopol section has already been launched. The transport interchange at the exit from the Crimean Bridge looks like this:

If you have any questions about the route, paying for travel on toll roads or using a transponder, I recommend searching for answers on the site: avtodor-tr.ru .

Finally Crimea!

Your independent journey has reached its goal! You are on the territory of hospitable Crimea! You need to choose a route A17 "Kerch-Yalta" (its other designations M17, E97 and E105 ). After passing Kerch, you will come out onto a road running along a hilly Kerch Peninsula. If you turn right, you will find yourself in the village of Lenino, and then in Shchelkino, which is located on the shore Sea of Azov . There is shallow water here, so people come here for a quiet, relaxing holiday with children.

Outside the village Seaside , you will take the road leading to the Black Sea: straight ahead is the city, on the left is a sandy beach. If you want to get into , then you need to focus on the village of Nasypnoye - from there the road turns left to Koktebel.

If your goal is , then go to the village of Grushovka - Sudak to the left. And if you go straight, you can reach the city Belogorsk , not far from which there is a famous safari park "Taigan" .

Well, if you don’t have your own car or you have chosen the route to Crimea by plane, then for all those who doubt the right choosing a rented car dedicated.

Children on the way are not a hindrance!

A huge number of fans sea holiday traveled from Moscow to Crimea with small children. Don’t doubt, you can do it too, you just need to think in advance about such seemingly small things as:

  • Baby food (preferably with a supply for the entire trip).
  • Drinking water adapted for babies (also with a reserve).
  • The required amount of clothing and a warm blanket.
  • Medicines, necessary for the child(including diarrhea and fever).
  • Toys, tablet with cartoons.

Well, children will definitely like it in Crimea. Read articles about and for relaxing with children.

Should we rush?

Of course, get to the coveted beaches and warm sea I want it faster, but still there is no need to rush. Spend more than one day on the road, but as much as you need to do not end up in Crimea in an exhausted state and decide that car travel is not for you.

Don't forget about overnight stays and rest! Take breaks along the way if your children are very tired or cranky.

It is best to stay overnight in Rostov-on-Don . Already at the entrance to the city you will see a hotel with comfortable rooms. But according to the reviews of our “frog travelers”, I would recommend staying at a hotel Russian style.

Gorgeous place affordable price! Parking, terrace, private pool and proximity to the Don. And, most importantly, 2 children under 12 years old sleep with their parents for free! Where else will you find something like this?

The only negative is the possibility of mosquitoes. Still, all rivers have one big drawback. But the main thing here is not to forget the fumigator at home, which will be useful to you in Crimea.

For those who decide to choose a cheaper option or simply miss nature, they can pitch a tent in a safe place.

How much does a trip to Crimea cost?

Of course, it all depends on your personal preferences and ability to relax. Some people need a restaurant for every day and a hotel with a swimming pool, while others need a dining room + homemade breakfast and housing in the private sector.

But on average, a trip for a family of 3 people for 10 days in their own car will cost about 70,000 rubles. In my book “” I justified this price, but here I will give a short calculation.

Here are the approximate types of expenses:

  • for gasoline on the road Moscow - Yalta - Moscow: 12,000 rubles.
  • travel expenses overnight + meals: 7,000 rubles.
  • gasoline in Crimea (consumption will be higher due to the terrain): 3,000 rubles.
  • accommodation 10 days: 20,000 rub.
  • food in Crimea: 20,000 rubles.
  • entertainment: 8,000 rub.

  1. It is better to fill up with gasoline before leaving. The closer you go to the south, the worse its quality and higher prices.
  2. To track traffic jams, you will need the Internet and the Yandex.Navigator application.
  3. If you have an MTS SIM card, then you will have Internet in Crimea at home rates. You just need to check the “data roaming” box.
  4. Toll roads help you save on gas and nerves. There are much fewer traffic police posts and cameras here.
  5. Take your time. It’s better to spend money on staying in a hotel on the highway than on traffic fines.
  6. In Crimea today, the roads have become much better, so if you are not planning a “cruise through the villages of the Simferopol region,” then there is nothing to worry about.

I want to tell you about the nuances of traveling to Crimea from the Russian hinterland.

What awaits you, what to pay attention to, what to avoid, where to go. All this is here and now. I am writing this review on behalf of a thrifty tourist who never managed to save...)

The ferry is large and roomy. Since we ended up at the crossing late at night, we didn’t see any special beauty, but we did see amazing prices in the buffet on the ferry. So, be well-fed, it will be more economical..) The crossing lasts 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes we finally found ourselves on the Crimean peninsula. And again it’s night and again nothing is visible.

The end point of our journey was Yalta city.

So. Morning of the first of 10 days in Yalta.

The first thing my husband and I did was go to the embankment of the pearl of Russia. Yalta greeted us with rain, which at first made us very sad, but already on the second day, when the sultry heat began, we were grateful for the coolness on the first day, when we walked through beautiful places without sweltering from the heat. The embankment is not a crowded place in the rain. What I would like to note regarding the embankment.

1. Sea. Beautiful expanse of water stretching into the distance. The view is stunning, especially on a cloudy day.

You can see jellyfish, crabs, and 5 species of fish right from the embankment.

2. Morning coffee. There is a great place where you can drink coffee "KoFishka". The drinks are varied, rich, tasty, the desserts are nice, the service is top notch. The cost is reasonable.

3. Nutrition. There are many cafes and canteens on the embankment, which is an important fact for the budget-conscious tourist. Choose a cafe with wi-fi, it’s not available everywhere (!). I can recommend Garry's burger shop.

4. Money down the drain. Pandas, squirrels, and bears are wandering around. People in suits who brazenly demand money for a photo with them after the photo is taken, that is, without specifying this fact in advance. Neither is good. Neither is it cheap. Be careful.

There is an amusement park like "Las Vegas in Yalta", right in the center of the embankment. You won't win anything. Just have fun and play on the attractions.

Aquarium. You can visit it for 150 rubles. per person you will see sea fish. Yes, there are many of them, they are different, some are even dead.

5. Communication. I immediately advise you to purchase an MTS SIM card on the peninsula. Megafon seems to be all over Russia, but, apparently, Crimea has not yet been taken into account in Megafon and incoming calls will cost you a pretty penny, not to mention outgoing ones.

6. Worthwhile entertainment. It is worth paying attention to the hanging rope park(to the right of the embankment, if you are facing the sea). A very interesting project. For 400 rub. per person you will have the opportunity to walk under the treetops along bridges, ropes and hanging paths.

This is exactly how the first day went. We explored the territory and got acquainted with the area and prices.

Second day. The weather has cleared. We are going to the outskirts of Yalta. I’ll say right away that traveling on your own will be much cheaper than purchasing vouchers and tours in tents on the same embankment (for example, a tour of three palaces costs from 2,400 rubles per person). There are buses running around with routes written on them. And if you purchase a map of Yalta and the surrounding area, then traveling as a savage will not be difficult at all.

Village "Krasnokamenka" or Skala. 15 km from the Yalta bus station. Located at 430 m above sea level. The view is worthwhile. It is from this village that you will have a view of Mount Bear. The rocks in Red Stone are steep and vertical. You can watch climbers, and also take a climbing course yourself. Here you can see fabulous mountain lakes with mirror-like water surface and collect mushrooms. You can get there either by car or from the Yalta bus station by bus 110.

Day three. Famous palaces of Yalta.

  1. Vorontsov Palace (Alupka), 21 km. from the Yalta bus station. The most majestic and delightful, fabulous. English style architecture mixed with tall towers reminiscent of the tops of mosque towers. Entrance to the palace park is free. Don’t forget to take your swimsuits with you; from the palace grounds there is access to the seashore, where you can swim, get a mussel, or catch a hermit crustacean. I recommend taking an underwater mask with you, it’s incredible!
    2. Massandra Palace, 11 km. from Yalta bus station . The palace-terem, not high, is located on a small territory. Not particularly impressed. Except that the palace has an interesting water supply system.
Again, regarding paid excursions. No one will forbid you to stand next to a group of tourists to whom the guide tells all sorts of interesting things. So you can learn absolutely the same thing for free if you are interested.
Day four. Bird home. It is better to get there by tourist boat from the Yalta embankment. A round-trip ticket costs 600 rubles. per person. The voyage lasts approximately 1 hour, during which time the guide will tell you about many interesting facts, about the buildings that you will see from the sea.

The Swallow's Nest castle itself is not large. The entrance there is usually closed, or some kind of third-party exhibition is located there (entrance for a separate fee); when we were there, there was a flax exhibition there. Bring a satin ribbon with you. On the Swallow's Nest there is a wishing tree, on which you will tie a ribbon.

At the top of the mountain, in addition to enjoying the view and beauty, you can also experience thrills. The cost of a walk along the rope bridge is 500 rubles. per person.

Geophysical cave. Cool, slippery, interesting. 150 rub. per person and an individual guide who will answer your questions. But, dress warmly.

You can descend from Mount Ai-Petri along cable car, the descent is windy (25-30 km/h), but don’t count on comfort (it will block your ears) and a beautiful view during the descent. There will be 20 people in the booth and if you didn’t have time to immediately break through to the window, you won’t be able to see anything.. The cost of descent is 300 rubles. per person. After descending, you will arrive at Alupskoye Highway from which, by bus 102, you can get to Yalta Zoo "Fairy Tale".

My husband and I, two adults, walked around the zoo for 4 hours. A place that is undoubtedly worth a visit, it’s mega interesting (500 rubles per person). Advice: bus 102 should stop at the stop "Selpo" - the name of the supermarket, you will see it right away, quite high building. Go to this supermarket and buy: carrots, cucumbers, herbs, apples, juice with straws. Animals will ask you for food..) And on the territory of the zoo the prices are terrible. 1 banana-100r., 1 apple-100r.

Day six. Marble Cave. There is no way to get there by bus. We drove about 100 km by car. The place is amazing. Marble Cave is one of the five most beautiful equipped caves in the world. The cost of visiting is 500 rubles. per person. At the entrance you can rent warm jackets for 15 rubles) it is very cold in the cave. The excursion will last about 2 hours.

Crimea is very rich tourist sites peninsula. There was simply no time at sea. For 6 days we excitedly ran around all sorts of interesting places. And only the last days we lay on the pebble beach and sunbathed, enjoying the calm and purity of the sea air.

Where to swim in Yalta? We went to Massandra beach, this is a very long spit, located on the left side of the embankment (facing the sea). The beach is pebble. There is an opportunity to either lie on your own towel or rent a sunbed for 200 rubles. and a sun lounger with a canopy for 400 rubles. The water in July is moderately warm, sea, salty, and stings the skin.

This is roughly what our journey turned out to be. It was filled with emotion and admiration. I believe that in such a short period of time we have completed the program to the maximum. It’s simply physically impossible to cover more. I know one thing. We will definitely return to Crimea again. And we have already noted a couple of places that we will definitely visit on our next visit.

Without paying for housing (and our housing was free, friends live in Yalta) and travel there and back, in 10 days for two we spent about 35,000 rubles. The main expenses were still on food (taking into account the fact that I don’t drink alcohol at all, and my husband drank a maximum of a couple of glasses of beer a day), and the rest went on entrance tickets to tourist places.

I wish you a good next year! Make a wish about traveling and it will certainly come true. The main thing is to really want it!)

    Your Nyushka.

Every person periodically experiences an urgent need for new experiences, a change of scenery and relaxation. It is important to listen to this desire. However, you don’t always want to radically change everything around you: climate, cuisine, people, or spend time adapting. Especially when it comes to vacationing with children. It is also not always convenient to trust your vacation to travel agencies. What to do in this case?

The ideal option would be a holiday in Crimea, organized independently. It's not as difficult as it seems at first glance. Let's figure out how to go to Crimea on our own.

Travel plan

First of all, you need to collect as much as possible more information about where you want to go. There are only five large cities in Crimea, and each of them is interesting in its own way. Decide which independent holiday in Crimea, do you prefer: beach and relaxed or active, with hiking and sightseeing. The more detailed you describe your future independent Crimean trip, the easier it will be to plan your route and create an entertainment program.

Secondly, you need to decide on the duration independent travel to Crimea. How long will your entire vacation take? How much time would you like to spend actively, and how much relaxing? How to relax in Crimea? Be sure to study the main attractions, excursion programs and trips that are offered, compare prices, and read reviews. Make a preliminary plan for your trip to Crimea yourself.

Thirdly, you need to calculate your travel budget. To do this, you need to study the prices of tickets, accommodation, find out how much is spent on food, how much entertainment costs, how much you want to spend on gifts and souvenirs. The most convenient way to plan costs is as follows. Allocate a separate amount for tickets and housing. Decide in advance what kind of excursions you want and set aside money for them. Find out how much you are willing to spend on souvenirs. The money left over for food, travel and inexpensive entertainment is best divided by the number of vacation days. This way you will get a daily limit that you need to meet. It is very important to keep track of expenses while traveling independently in Crimea; this will help control expenses.

Fourthly, you need to book tickets and rent accommodation in Crimea yourself. Collect everything Required documents, take care of insurance.

The planning stage for an independent trip to Crimea can take quite a lot of time. There is no need to be afraid of this. The magic is that the more time you devote to preliminary preparation, careful collection of information, analysis, calculations, selection of optimal accommodation, the most interesting places and programs, the better you can organize everything, the easier and more enjoyable your vacation will be.

When is the best time to go?

Fans of Crimea, of course, claim that it is wonderful here at any time of the year. The choice of season depends on the purpose of the savage’s trip.

If you are interested in exploring natural attractions, admiring waterfalls, lush, fresh greenery, and walking a lot, then April and May are recommended. At this time, Crimea and travel are especially good, the rivers are deep, it is not hot and there are not many vacationers.

If an independent trip to Crimea aims to sunbathe and swim, of course, you need to go in the summer. The sea is warm here from May to October, the season begins in June, the most popular time is from mid-July to the end of August. At this time there are especially many tourists here, it’s worth heatwave, fruits are ripe and prices for everything rise significantly.

If you want to swim and see the sights, but not crowd on the beaches and not overpay for everything, then you should go here in the fall, starting in mid-September. It’s not so hot anymore, people are starting to leave, prices are falling, but the water in the sea is still warm and comfortable for swimming. We can say that September is the ideal time to make an independent trip to Crimea, as the reviews indicate.

A few words about winter. Winter recreation has never been Crimea's strong point, although there is snow in the mountains. You can go skiing or snowboarding in Ai-Petri; there is all the necessary infrastructure: slopes and lifts, equipment rental, cafes, shops, guest houses. You can take an instructor. There are trails near the Marble Cave and on the Angarsk Pass. Yalta is considered the center of winter tourism in Crimea.

Flights

The fastest way to get to Crimea is by plane. Major airport is located in Simferopol, this is where the main Russian airlines operate flights. There are direct flights not only from Moscow and St. Petersburg; it is also easy to fly from the regions: Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Perm and other cities.

Independent travelers to Crimea with experience assure that an airplane is not only the fastest way to get to Crimea, but also the cheapest.

It is most convenient to purchase air tickets through the service for several reasons:

Also in favor of the service is the ability to choose an airline, departure and arrival times, and the ability to see in advance how long the journey will take when choosing one or another option. Buying tickets is very easy using a bank card.

How to get there by car

The option of traveling independently to Crimea in a personal car is considered one of the most inconvenient, this is due to the problems that arise at the Kerch crossing. Therefore, motorists often leave their cars before the crossing and continue on by bus or ferry. There may also be difficulties crossing the border.

The most popular way to go to Crimea today is through Krasnodar region before the crossing from the port "Kavkaz" to the port "Crimea". A car can also be transported by ferry, paying from 1,700 rubles. You will have to wait quite a long time for your turn. The situation is a little easier at night and on weekdays. If you wish, you can drive a rented car if you live very far from Crimea, but cannot imagine your life without an iron horse. You can rent a suitable car. If you are traveling to Crimea on your own by car, remember that you may need to pay for parking.

How does a ferry work?

You can find out in detail all the information related to the operation of the ferry, the cost of travel and the purchase of tickets on the official website gosparom.ru

Buy e-ticket can be done in advance on the website listed above. You must print out your ticket for independent travel to Crimea.

Housing

There are many accommodation options in Crimea. The search method includes only two options: on the spot or in advance via the Internet.

In Crimea, the method of independently searching for housing on the spot involves a certain risk. Despite the fact that there are many offers, whether in season or out of season, there is a chance that from mid-July to the end of August you will not find what you want. Of course, they won’t leave you completely on the street, but the location may be inconvenient, the conditions not very comfortable, and the cost high. Therefore, it is better to address the issue in advance.

The rental price depends not only on the season, but also on the city. For example, living in Yalta is more expensive, in Alushta it is cheaper. You can rent inexpensive housing in Feodosia and Sudak. Sevastopol is also considered expensive city. TO budget options include Bakhchisaray, villages in the suburbs of Evpatoria, Koktebel, which is distinguished by the presence of a large number of good and inexpensive hotels.

Approximate cost of travel

Let's take a calculator and estimate how much an independent trip to Crimea will cost for one person living in Moscow. Let’s assume that it was decided to vacation in Crimea from June 13 to June 26, 2016, and Yalta was chosen for the vacation.

A direct flight from Moscow to Simferopol and back will cost 10,673 rubles. Next you still need to get to Yalta. There is a direct trolleybus on this route; a ticket costs 98 rubles. You can take the bus and get there for 110 rubles. The total cost of travel will be about 11 thousand rubles.

We choose housing. The most inexpensive option is a place in a hostel dormitory room with a bunk bed. For twelve nights such housing will cost 5,280 rubles. Guest house with a place in a superior four-bed room – 16,200 rubles. The simplest hotel with a double room in economy class – from 18,000 rubles.

On the Airbnb website they offer accommodation in a separate room in an apartment from 628 rubles per day. For twelve days – 7536 rubles. Total accommodation, depending on the degree of comfort, can cost from 5,280 to 18,000 rubles and more. Consequently, travel and accommodation will require from 19,000 to 40,000 rubles.

In a cafe, a salad costs from 50 rubles, a shish kebab from 200 rubles, a cocktail from 130 rubles. Fruits from 100 rubles per kilogram, seafood from 80 rubles per serving. There are many grocery stores where you can shop there and cook your own food. Therefore, you need to budget at least 1000 rubles per day for food and travel on local transport. Excursions from 700 rubles, entrance tickets can be added to the cost.

Gifts and souvenirs. A box of local chocolates costs from 190 rubles, wine from the Inkerman plant costs from 120 rubles per bottle. It is difficult to answer this question, some people carry a lot with them, others choose to leave light.

It turns out that the approximate costs will be from 39,000 rubles per person. Is this a budget trip? In 2017, independent holidays in Crimea will only become more expensive.

How to save money

The advantage of traveling to Crimea on your own is that you control the cost of the trip yourself. How to relax on a budget? Here are the main directions for cost optimization.

  • You should not go during high season (July and August). Prices at this time are significantly, but unreasonably, inflated. A trip in early June or September will give you no less pleasure, but will cost less than an independent holiday in Crimea from mid-July to the end of August. The most pleasant and budget-friendly holidays are those in May and October.
  • You can reduce the cost of air tickets if you choose not a direct flight, but fly with a transfer. The difference in cost for one ticket can reach up to ten thousand, depending on the city of departure and the date of travel. It is also convenient to use the low price calendar on the service to select the optimal cost; it makes sense to subscribe to the route and wait for a promotion from the airline.
  • Oddly enough, keeping track of expenses during your trip and clearly planning a budget in itself reduces costs, even if you do not set yourself the goal of saving money.
  • When planning a trip to Crimea, check out the experiences of other tourists, read on forums about the places where you plan to go. People generously share information about interesting but inexpensive shops and cafes. As a rule, such establishments are located away from popular tourist trails, so you need to find out about them in advance.
  • How to save money on housing in Crimea? It is better to rent housing not in Yalta or Sevastopol, but in Bakhchisarai, Koktebel or the suburbs of Evpatoria. The most budget-friendly ones are small ones resort villages. Use the website to select options.
  • Most excursion programs can be visited on your own using public transport. There are also closed excursions that can only be attended as part of tourist group. But there are not many of them.

Where does a typical journey begin? Most vacationers choose an experienced tour operator, who arranges the desired vouchers for a guaranteed safe and enjoyable vacation.

But in the case of Crimea, this point can easily be omitted. After all, you can get more pleasure not from a strictly regulated tour package, but from visiting the peninsula on your own. In order for an unconstrained vacation to be successful and leave only pleasant memories, it is necessary to prepare for it in advance. Having answered the most important questions for yourself, this will not be difficult.

Travel that does not depend on a tour operator has a number of advantages, thanks to which such a “free” vacation is gaining more and more fans.

Since the end of the summer of 2014, traffic on the Moscow-Kazanskaya - Simferopol-Pass route was opened, trains of which entered the peninsula through the Kerch ferry, taking a ferry from the Kavkaz station to the port of Crimea. This move is long and exhausting, lasting up to 44-46 hours.

The easiest option for traveling to Crimea on your own is an air flight to Simferopol. From the airport to public transport It is easy to get to the railway station, and from there - from the Kurortnaya station, by bus - to all Crimean resort towns.

Not the most successful, but the most accessible way to travel is by bus followed by a ferry. The bus goes to the port "Kavkaz" from the resort cities of the Krasnodar Territory, where there is a transfer to the ferry to Kerch.

The most convenient way is to travel by private car. It allows you not to depend on transport schedules, routes for exploring cities and attractions.
