Jumeirah open beach is closed in. Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) – a trendy area of Dubai near the beach

I have long wanted to write about one of my favorite areas of Dubai, and finally, after another trip to this city, I was able to take enough photos to convey the atmosphere of Jumeirah Beach Residence at the height of the beach season.

Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) is, in our opinion, a microdistrict located in the Dubai Marina area near the beach.

On one side of Jumeirah Beach Residences there is one of the most recognizable areas of Dubai - Dubai Marina, on the other - The Walk promenade and The Beach complex with a snow-white beach.

A special feature of the complex is that all buildings are located in close proximity to the gorgeous beach, most rooms and apartments have at least a side view of the sea.

Skyscrapers cast shadows on the beach at dawn

On weekends, which in the UAE are different from ours (Friday and Saturday), JBR becomes a center of attraction for tourists and local residents.

How to get to JBR?

You can get to JBR (Jumeirah Beach Residents) by metro, taxi or tram.

The closest metro station to Jumeirah Beach Residence is Jumeirah Lake Towers. But the walk from the station to the beach is quite far (about 15 minutes), the distances are very long.

Therefore, it is still more convenient to get there by taxi. However, in the evening hours there are traffic jams in Jumeirah.

The tram stop is located quite close to the beach, but the tram service is not provided everywhere, and not all areas of Dubai can be reached by it.

Beach Jumeirah Beach Residence

Probably the main attraction of JBR is the gorgeous multi-kilometer white sand beach!

The beach is very convenient for swimming: shallow White sand, smooth entry into the water, small waves or no waves.

The photos speak for themselves - the sea here is very beautiful.

During the season there are quite a lot of people on the beach, but there is no feeling of overcrowding, as in some European resorts. There are noticeably more people on weekends – Friday and Saturday.

The Jumeirah Beach Residence beach is public and free. The beach offers rental of umbrellas and sun loungers with towels. Rental prices cannot be called low - about 50 Dollars per day for two.

– this is not only oil production and a hot desert, but also the sun, beaches and sea coast. And also an actively developing tourism infrastructure with the most modern elements of architecture and technology. And among all this perfection, even the public city beach of Jumeirah Open Beach is becoming popular.

More about the beach

Jumeirah Open Beach is located in (UAE) and is an open public free beach. It is located in the area of the same name near the famous Jumeirah Beach & SPA. This is where most vacationers in Dubai come to sunbathe. And it’s not just about accessibility, but also about equipment for all beach options:

  • roller skating and cycling paths are equipped along the entire beach line;
  • bathrooms and showers, both outdoors and indoors;
  • playground for children;
  • sports horizontal bars and other equipment.

Geographically, Jumeirah Open Beach stretches south from the historical part of Dubai and ends at the Jumeirah Beach Residence and port facilities. Its length is a little more than 2 km. Jumeirah Open Beach in Dubai is sandy and artificial: all the white sand was brought here from the desert. It is dug up and cleaned of debris every day. There are trash cans and trash cans along the entire perimeter of the beach. There is practically no greenery on the beach, only palm trees that are planted along the entire road beach line. The water is warm, clean, and the descent is comfortable.

What is interesting about Jumeirah Open Beach?

Jumeirah Open Beach sells swimming equipment and accessories, as well as food, ice cream and drinks (milkshakes, chilled water and juices) for less than Jumeirah Beach Park and other paid options.

For the convenience of vacationers, umbrellas, sun loungers and towels can be borrowed for a fee. Also, mini-hotels, villas and private houses have been built along the entire beach line - all of this can be rented so as not to waste time on the road to the beach and sea. It is worth noting that from Jumeirah Beach there is a good view of such Dubai objects as the famous sea port"Rashid" and unique hotel 5* format, known as . Jumeirah Beach offers stunning photos with these Dubai attractions as a backdrop.

Safety of holidaymakers

The open city beach of Dubai is constantly patrolled by a police car, which regularly drives along the entire coast. Lifeguards monitor tourists from the height of rescue towers during the entire working hours of the beach. In addition to them, there are also security guards who are responsible for the tranquility of the area.

For violating the rules of conduct on Jumeirah Beach in Dubai, a number of punishments are provided: from a large fine to arrest and deportation. The most common violations and penalties:

  • throw a cigarette butt on the sand - fine $273;
  • sunbathing topless or naked (for women) – fine and deportation, in some cases imprisonment for 5-7 years;
  • fighting, drinking and obscene language – fine, arrest, deportation;
  • aggressive attention to Muslims and photographing Muslim women - fine and deportation.

How to get to Jumeirah Open Beach?

There are several ways to get to the city beach:

  1. The hotel transfer service is the most convenient and cheapest option: an air-conditioned minibus takes all tourists to the beach and then picks them up at a certain time. You just have to take into account that hotel transfers in Dubai mainly take tourists to the paid beach of Jumeirah Beach Park, so set your accents in advance.
  2. Get to the Dubai Mall station, then take a taxi.
  3. Take the metro to the World Trade Center station, then take the bus at the Al Diyafa street stop or walk to the beach.
  4. Taking a taxi is especially important for groups of 3-4 people.

The beach is open daily to all vacationers from 7:30 to 22:00, admission is free.

Dubai - the city of spices and burning sun. This is the most relaxed Arab resort. Tourists here are treated with understanding and do not impose their own laws. You can relax not only calmly, but also actively - fly with a parachute, hunt sharks or barracudas, gallop along a wild beach and even skate in forty-degree heat. There are also plenty of attractions. A must visit (Burj Khalifa), it's the most high building on the planet, Bastakia is an area with ancient buildings and architectural monuments, as well as the Tower of a Thousand Years. But those who like to soak up the sun choose the beaches Jumeirah(Jumeirah).

Beaches of Jumeirah in Dubai

The beach area at Jumeirah is a recreation area more than 15 kilometers long. Here white fine sand, many shops and well-designed recreation areas. All beaches in the area are well equipped and created for your comfort: playground clearly visible from sunbeds, barbecues and barbecues are constantly moved so as not to smoke on vacationers, you can even see signs with a division “for smokers and non-smokers”. In short, local authorities are doing everything possible to attract more tourists and provide comfortable and quality rest. The coastal area is very vast, you can swim everywhere, and everywhere you will find clear sea and clean sand, but for convenience it divided into some beaches:

Kite Beach(Kite Beach)
Jumeirah Open Beach(Jumeirah Open Beach)
Jumeirah Beach Park(Jumeirah Park Beach)

Where are the beaches of Jumeirah, how to get to them?

The beach area of Jumeirah is located in the area of the same name. It’s not difficult to find it, it spreads out on the left side of the main Jumeirah Beach Road(Jumeirah Beach Road). You can also get there by taxi; the taxi will take you according to the meter, so there is no need to make arrangements in advance.

Jumeirah Beach beaches on the map:

Sufouh Beach

The free public beach Sufouh Beach is located next to the highway of the same name at Al Sufouh Road 1, in the new Al Sufouh area. In the distance you can see the sail hotel Burj Al Arab. On the beach few visitors, which makes it attractive to have a relaxing holiday away from the bustle of the city. Suitable for reading or contemplating the city at night. The water here, just like on other beaches in Dubai, is clean and transparent, the sand is fine and white. Fans often come to the beach windsurfing– There are plenty of waves here. English-speaking travelers joke about this beach that it is secret, since it is not easy to find and almost no one knows about it.

Jumeirah Public Beach

The free Jumeirah Public Beach is located next to the hotel and the Jumeirah Mosque. Public beach spacious and extended, minimal infrastructure - sheds, toilets with changing cabins. There are not many people on this beach. This beach is also within easy access to the sights of Dubai - luxury hotels and buildings of the city with some distance from them. Like on all beaches Persian Gulf the water here is clean, there is little garbage - they clean it twice a day, morning and evening. You should take sunscreen with you, there are no shops on the beach, you will have to walk to them.

Kite Beach

Kite Beach is located in the Umm Suqeim area behind the Mirage Art Center, between the fishing village and the sailing club. The free beach was chosen kitesurfers– often on the beach strong winds– and married couples with children flying kites. Its name comes from the excellent launch site Kite Beach. Eat Volleyball Court And football field. There are diving schools and surf clubs nearby - you can take lessons or rent equipment. Mostly visited Europeans and South Africans. A little wild beach: there is no developed infrastructure and amenities compared to other beaches.

Jumeirah Open Beach

The free Jumeirah Open Beach is about two kilometers long. Availability cycling and jogging paths along the entire territory. There are many tourists on the beach, including Russians. Therefore it is often called Russian beach. In addition to the Parus and Volna hotels, you can see the Khalifa Tower and artificial island Palm Jumeirah, one of the first to be built in the Palm Island series. The water on the beach is somewhat inferior in cleanliness to other beaches, but still it cannot be called muddy or dirty. Rental of sun loungers and sun umbrellas is available, and there are toilets. You can get to the beach from the Dubai Marina metro station on foot, but it is better to take a taxi - it takes about 40 minutes.

Jumeirah Beach Park

The most comfortable and popular Jumeirah Park Beach is a beach and a park at the same time. On its territory there are table tennis courts, chess tables, showers, secure parking, children's slides and, of course, 3-4 rescuers. Entry costs only 5 dirhams. On Mondays and Wednesdays only women and children are allowed. It’s better not to come on Friday, especially after lunch, as all the locals come to the beach after a week of work. Eat several restrictions: you cannot take pets with you, sunbathe without underwear (there are separate nudist beaches for this), smoke hookah and swim behind buoys. IN 23:00 the beach is closed, this is done only for the safety of tourists, because at night rescuers will not be able to come to the rescue.

There are famous ones on the coast five star hotels Jebel Ali Beach, Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Habtoor Grand Resort and Hilton. Here tourists can feel like kings. The price includes free access to the beach, massages and spa treatments. There are about 30 four-star hotels on the coast! They all offer good conditions, and the cost depends only on the distance from coastline. In addition, you can rent a hut for 100 dirhams per day, a villa or an apartment in a multi-storey building. The longer the stay, the cheaper. For example, renting an apartment or cottage for half a year will be cheaper than renting for 2 months. Hotels provide free sun loungers and umbrellas on the beach for their clients. Many people settle near the beach so as not to search and travel to other coasts. Jumeirah Beach - great beach with comfortable conditions and a clean shore.

There are many in Dubai good beaches, since this city is considered one of the centers of world tourism. Not all beaches are equally good, some of them cause complaints among tourists, but the infrastructure is constantly being improved, new services are appearing, as well as opportunities for recreation and entertainment.

Jumeirah Open Beach is a popular public beach, which is located near the Jumeirah area of the same name next to the Jumeirah Beach & SPA hotel. The popularity of this public beach primarily lies in the fact that it is free, while many other beaches in Dubai require an entrance fee. In addition, this beach is practically in no way inferior to paid beaches, and some of them are even superior. These advantages lie in the fact that there are special paths (roller and bicycle) equipped here, which allow you to combine passive recreation with active recreation (the paths stretch along the beach). There are also horizontal bars for athletes, and there are a sufficient number of locker rooms and showers (not only outdoors, but also in special rooms). There are retail outlets (kiosks) on the beach where you can buy various cocktails, drinks, ice cream, food and all sorts of swimming accessories. Prices are lower than on paid beaches and this is also one of the advantages of this beach.

The beach is artificial, since the sand was brought to it from the desert and is cleaned daily using special equipment. Garbage containers are installed throughout the beach. For an additional fee you can rent an umbrella, sun lounger, towel or mat. Rental prices are the same on all beaches. A towel costs about three dollars, a chaise longue 5.5, and an umbrella about 4 dollars.

There are many small hotels and private villas near the beach, where you can rent a room during your stay in the country if you wish. Opens from the beach area beautiful view to many attractions of Dubai (Burj Khalifa, Parus Hotel, Rashid seaport).

The beach is under constant guard and you don’t have to worry about this. There are also lifeguards on duty on the beach, who, if anything happens, can quickly respond to some unforeseen situation. From time to time, police patrols drive along the beach. Even before the trip, tourists are advised to familiarize themselves with the rules of behavior on Dubai beaches and in public places so that they do not have to pay a substantial fine (punishments for offenses can be more severe).

You need to keep the beach clean, don’t litter, and take away all trash after yourself. If local residents have been brought up with such cultural behavior since childhood, many tourists neglect this rule, leave garbage on the beach or try to bury it in the sand. For such an offense the fine is about $300. Women are strictly prohibited from sunbathing topless (don’t forget which country you are going to). This offense is considered a gross disrespect for the local culture and population and, in addition to a heavy fine and deportation, the offender may face up to seven years in prison. The same severe punishment awaits those who drink alcohol on the beach (and not only on the beach). You should also not take photographs of local residents.

The list of offenses that can cause tourists to have problems with local law enforcement can go on and on, but those listed above are considered the most common.

Dubai has opened up a lot of new and amazing things for Russian tourist. Dubai has it all: fabulously rich sheikhs, cool Instagram photos and the most advanced architecture in the world. But what could be better for an ordinary Russian person than a warm beach with clean water and all the accompanying delights of civilization? You know? Me not. Therefore, let's look at the beaches of Dubai: what features they have and what you need to know about before your trip.

In this article we look at:

Al Mamzar Park. Photo: © flickr/Fabio Achilli

Al Mamzar Beach Park is located at the junction of Deira and Sharjah. Most of budget hotels Deira (the old district of Dubai) takes its guests here. In fact, there is no sea on Al Mamzar - it is an artificial lagoon-lake. This body of water is called Al Mamzar Lake. The lake is low-flow, shallow and without waves. The water warms up quickly and cools down just as easily. In March, the water on Al Mamzar is warmer than on other beaches, but in winter the opposite is true.

You can get to the beach by hotel bus or taxi. Paid services:

  • entrance - 5 AED;
  • car parking - 30 AED;
  • sun lounger - 15 AED;
  • umbrella - 10 AED;
  • swimming pool - 10 AED.

Sun loungers/umbrellas are rented only on the first beach from the entrance, where there are the most people. The further you are from the entrance, the calmer it is, so it’s better to take your umbrellas and beach chairs and relax normally.

Al Mamzar Park at night. Photo: © flickr/Black Zero

In addition to tourists, workers from disadvantaged countries (with corresponding habits) and local Arabs with their families like to come here. If at the beginning of the week the park is more or less calm, then on Thursday - Saturday it is too crowded. By the way, Monday and Wednesday are women's days, entry is only for women and boys under 4 years old.

Al Mamzar is not the cleanest beach in Dubai. It is cleaned, of course, but bulls and small debris are found everywhere. But the water is clean, the approach is smooth, the sand is without pebbles. Walking barefoot on the surf line is a pleasure.

Ideas off topic. You can find out what prices are now for tours to the Emirates on the websites of online travel agencies:

They are no different from ordinary travel agencies, except that they do not hide the availability of tours with promotions and promotional rates, which are not profitable for offline travel agencies to sell.

In general, the park and beach are well maintained, with good infrastructure. There is a place to shower and change clothes, there are toilets and picnic tables and benches with umbrellas and barbecue grills. There are several cafes, but they don’t sell normal (in our understanding) food. The menu includes cola, burgers, and french fries. Locals come to the barbecue with their own products. I recommend doing the same.

Jumeirah Public Beach - La Mer

For a long time, Jumeirah Public Beach was closed for renovations. Now part of the beach is open under a new name - La Mer. Many tourists who have visited the updated JPB consider it best beach Dubai!

The highlight of La Mer is a developed coastal area.

La Mer is free entry, clean sand and clear sea, scrubbed toilets, bicycle and walking paths, children's entertainment, shops and cafes, stylish design of the territory with a lot of graffiti and street art for cool photos. You can get there either by your own/rented car, taxi or buses 9 and 88. As far as I know, hotel transfers rarely come here yet.

Mid-range beach (prices in AED):

  • sun lounger + umbrella - 100;
  • 2 sun loungers + umbrella - 180;
  • towel for deposit - 60;
  • - 125;
  • car parking - 20/hour.

The downside of the beach is that the swimming area is not very large; those who want to swim far will not like it. But it is ideal for families with children.

Jumeirah Beach Park

A wonderful beach with canopies, changing cabins, toilets and... Actually everything. You can get there by taxi and bus. The beach is located north of Palma. Another plus is that entry to this beach is free. In any case, it was before. Why was it? Yes, because the beach is closed for restoration and it is unknown when it will be opened again

Kite Beach. Photo: © flickr/Oiva Eskola

Kite Beach or Kite Beach is one of the best public beaches. It offers a beautiful view of the Parus Hotel. Kite is the “base” beach where hotels in Al Barsha, Al Safa and Um Suqqeim take tourists, so it can be very crowded at times.

The beach is wide, there is enough space for everyone. The sand is cleaned, the water in the sea is clean, the entry is smooth. There are often waves and wind at Kite Beach (hence Kite). There are no serious problems with waves, but light plastic umbrellas can be broken by the wind. Prices for services are standard average for Dubai (prices in AED):

  • entrance - free;
  • umbrella - 50;
  • sun lounger + umbrella - 100;
  • 2 sun loungers + umbrella - 160;
  • parking - from 0 to 50 depending on the parking lot.

The infrastructure is well developed: lifeguards, surfboard rentals, kite lessons, gadget recharging areas, a treadmill, showers, toilets, cafes. There are no “women’s” days.

Beach club Sole Mio on Kite Beach is for those who love comfort.

And now about the cons. Showers are located away from the sea. There are many visiting workers from Pakistan and India who come to Kite Beach to look at the “white horses”. It's stupid to blame them. Girls tucking their panties between their buns, wearing triangular strings instead of a swimsuit, taking pictures in provocative poses against the backdrop of the Burj Al Arab... Please do not forget that the Emirates is a Muslim country! The problem of visiting workers exists on all the beaches of Dubai; if you don’t want to fall under their attention, then behave appropriately.

You can get to the beach by taxi, car, hotel transfer and city bus.

The first and only “wild beach” on our list. This is the best place in Dubai for camping right on the seashore. Black Palace Beach, Al Sufouh Beach, Secret beach - quiet and calm, uncrowded. On weekends (Thursday - Saturday), local Arabs like to come here with whole families, but they don’t bother anyone, and the locals won’t go anywhere for a vacation.

Apart from the crowds of tourists, there is no infrastructure. There are no umbrellas, sun loungers, cafes, showers, or toilets. Clean sand available clear water and a stunning view of the city, especially at night or at sunset (although who would be surprised by this in Dubai?). In general, for lovers of peace and solitude - perfect place.

Umm Suqeim Beach. Photo: © flickr/Tobias Scheck

According to rumors, the beach best view to the Parus Hotel. These rumors were unanimously joined by tour guides who included the beach in their familiarization tour of Dubai. The result: crowds of tourists scurrying back and forth, slightly overexcited by the excursion movement, trapped by time and a great desire to re-photograph everything. Annoys.

Some hotels bring their guests here, but it’s unclear why. The beach is poorly equipped. It is completely free, and therefore offers visitors: 1 changing room, 1 shower and 1 toilet. I haven’t seen any more, and tourists don’t find these either. There are legends that on special days of the lunar calendar you can even find sun loungers and umbrellas (for 50 dirhams), but I can’t guarantee

You can get to Umm Suqeim Beach by taxi or car. It’s a bit far from the metro station, but if you really want to and it’s not too hot, you can walk there in 35–40 minutes.

Is it worth coming here? Well, maybe for the sake of a new photo on social networks. For beach holiday It’s better to look for another beach or move away from the parking lot and Parus.

Barasti Beach Club Beach Club) is one of the most popular beaches in Dubai. Located in the Dubai Marina area, almost at its very end, near the Le Meridien Mina Seyahi hotel Beach Resort& Marina. The views of the skyscrapers of Dubai Marina are amazing.

The beach is very well maintained, clean, with white sand and turquoise water. The bottom is very good quality, soft, the entrance to the sea is gentle.

Entrance to the beach is free, including sun loungers, a swimming pool, toilets, changing rooms and showers. Please note that documents and availability of water/food are checked at the entrance. You can't take anything with you! All this (including alcohol) can be purchased in cafes and restaurants right on the beach.

All kinds of events, sweepstakes, and competitions are constantly held on the beach. The beach club has a separate sports bar with a giant screen showing sports matches. During important sporting events, a large screen is also installed right on the beach.

On Fridays, Barasti Beach transforms into one of the... best clubs Dubai. On this day, entrance fee for men is 150 AED, girls are free.

The downside is that sometimes there are too many drunk people (the sale of alcohol on the beach makes its presence felt).

Marina Beach or JBR

Considered the best beach in Dubai. Why? Great infrastructure! She's really cool! The Walk, children's playground, water attractions, a huge number of cafes, shops (including branded ones), restaurants, bars, coffee shops, The Walk promenade and other little things. The beach offers impressive views of skyscrapers, a great backdrop for photos!

Zero Gravity

Zero Gravity is not only a beach club, but also a night club! So in Zero Gravity you can enjoy doing nothing on the beach in the morning, and have a blast under the lights in the evening. This, in my opinion, is one of the best places Dubai in all respects. There is nothing to complain about.

The beach at the club is excellent, there are plenty of sun loungers. The restrooms are in excellent condition, there are make-up mirrors, hair dryers, showers with clean towels, shampoo, shower gel and body cream.

The pool with a glass side allows you to take cool photos under water, and there are free inflatable unicorns and flamingos that the girls love. The bar and restaurant are amazing: very tasty cuisine, large portions, drinks for every taste.

The club is open from 8-10 am as a beach, but after 19:00 the beach part of the club closes and the “adult” part of the life of the Zero Gravity club begins . Please note that in the evening, as well as on Fridays and Saturdays, even during the day, guests under 21 years of age are not allowed into the club

The entrance fee depends on the day and the composition of tourists:

Sunday - Thursday:

  • one adult 150 AED (of which 50 AED is a deposit that can be spent on food and drinks);
  • for a couple 250 AED (75 AED deposit);
  • children from 4 years old 100 AED (25 AED deposit), up to 4 years old - free.

On weekends (Friday and Saturday) and holidays:

  • one adult 250 AED (100 AED deposit);
  • for a couple 450 AED (150 AED deposit);
  • children from 4 years old 175 AED (50 AED deposit), children under 4 years old - free.

Girls on Tuesdays have free admission + a cocktail compliment, but you need to sign up in advance (more details on the club’s Instagram and website).

Dubai beaches on the map:

Dubai is a great place to relax. There's architecture here, it's cool shopping centers, gorgeous beaches, and, of course, beaches for every taste. Some people like deserted and barely formed, or even completely wild, but for others, give good company and a variety of fine dining options right next to the sun lounger. “The taste and color...”, as they say. But the most important thing is that you feel comfortable and comfortable on the beach; if not, the neighboring beach is already waiting for you with open arms. You are not a tree!
