Basic moments

In terms of entertainment and sex tourism, Pattaya is considered one of the world leaders. Go-go, exotic clubs, transvestite shows, dance floors, bars and noisy discos are on every corner. For those who want to always be in the thick of fun, Pattaya is an absolute paradise. In addition, lovers of sea fishing, diving and paragliding come to this Thai resort.

It would seem that Pattaya with its active entertainment for adults should not fit well with interests children's recreation. However, the city has many attractions for children: Mini Siam, water parks, zoos, a dolphinarium, an aquarium " Undersea world", sheep farm, pony rides and interesting museums. And Bangkok’s entertainment is just a stone’s throw away, which is why families with children also like to come to Pattaya on vacation.

Story

“Once upon a time in the south of Thailand, in a paradise, there was a wonderful little fishing village...” - this is how a story about Pattaya could begin. But you can start it in another way: those who came to Pattaya to get to know Thailand made a bad choice. This city is a total contradiction.

Pattaya was “discovered” by the Americans, whose Utaphau military aviation base was located a few kilometers south of the city. From here in the 1960s. B-52 bombers took off to drop their deadly payload on South Vietnam. Pattaya was for the Americans a place of soldier's rest in its traditional forms. The war was long over, but soldiers continued to visit Pattaya, and when an aircraft carrier berthed in the spacious bay, accompanied by a dozen more gray auxiliary ships, rejoicing began on the Beach Road embankment. “Welcome US Navy” was written on the banners. And indeed: American soldiers with tight wallets were here welcome guests. Europeans followed the Americans - tourism in Pattaya was gaining momentum: multi-storey hotels and restaurants sprang up like mushrooms after rain, offering cuisine from all countries in the world. The city's dubious reputation has been created by countless bars with half-naked girls, expensive Singha beer and a corresponding clientele. As a result, Pattaya became a Mecca for people of dubious reputation who found favorable conditions for dirty dealings or vicious entertainment. However, some of them fell into the hands of the Thai police and were immediately deported to their homeland.

But at all times there were plenty of decent and even truly outstanding people. At least three such names, inextricably linked with the history of Pattaya, must certainly be mentioned. One of them was Dutch long-distance traveler Dolf Rix, owner of a restaurant in Pattaya that served the best Indonesian rice dishes to be found west of Sumatra. Regulars gathered at his place every evening not only for an amazing meal, but also in order to freely complain about the growing tourist bustle from year to year.

A native of Switzerland, Alois Fassbind, who traveled for many years across all continents, also one fine day stopped in Pattaya and became general director Royal Cliff Hotel. Under his leadership, the hotel for some time became the best resort hotel South-East Asia. And since a certain distance from the city, reminiscent of a continuous red-light district, did not harm its reputation, Fassbind proudly indicated the location of his hotel in advertising brochures as “near Pattaya.”

The third should be called Father Brennan, the founder of the local orphanage. It was here that the unwanted “results” of holiday romances most often ended up - and the Irish Redemptorist took diligent care of them.

Almost until the end of the 1980s. tourism industry profited from the negative image of Pattaya. But later the attitude changed: there was a desire to turn the “old whore,” as this city was called, not without tenderness, into a respectable vacation spot. War on prostitution was officially declared, and the most vile dens were closed by the police. However, Pattaya remained a dubious place. Evil tongues say, however, that it is no different from any Mediterranean resort, only it is located at 12°55" north latitude and 100°52" east longitude...

Today Pattaya is experiencing serious problems associated with the uncontrolled growth of visitors in previous decades. A massive government program has helped clean up the city's dubious reputation. Since powerful wastewater treatment plants were put into operation in 1992, the quality of sea water. The city's water supply, especially during periods of drought, remains precarious.

Water parks in Pattaya

The network of water parks in Pattaya is constantly developing. The construction of new attractions has not yet been fully completed. But with its end, we can hope that all the needs of tourists and local residents for entertainment of this level will be satisfied.

Most old park water entertainment of the resort is located on the territory of the Pattaya Park hotel Beach Resort» at the address: 345 Jomtien Beach, Pattaya City, Chonburi 20150 Thailand – South Pattaya (first coastline). This is the only hotel in a Thai resort that has its own water park. Since the sea within the city limits is not very clean, such a complex of water activities is very convenient for families with children. Water attractions include 6 long and spinning slides, large Jacuzzis and a long circular pool.

On the territory of the water park there is a so-called private beach, equipped with comfortable sun loungers and umbrellas. Here you can use the services of specialists in Thai therapeutic and wellness massage. The park area is fenced. Entrance fee - 100 baht. The sea is several tens of meters from here and from all places in the park, especially from the highest points water slides, you can clearly see the water surface of the Gulf of Thailand, the beach coastline, the island of Koh Larn, located 8 km from the mainland, and several other smaller islands.

The Cartoon Network Amazone water park opened at the end of July 2014, welcomes guests all year round and is open from 10.00 to 18.00. It is located in the suburb of Pattaya - Bang Sar, near Sukhumvit Street. From the city you can get here by car, taxi and shuttle buses in about 20 minutes. You can also take advantage of the white songthaews plying along Sukhumvit, or minibuses and buses going towards Rayong.

Waterpark Cartoon Network Amazone

The water park's attractions are dedicated to the characters of everyone's favorite cartoons. Included in the name "Cartoon Network" is an American cartoon channel, broadcast from which are carried out in different countries ah of the world, including in Russia since 2005. The park has several long water slides, the highest of which allows thrill-seekers to descend from a height of 23.4 m. Those who like to ride at very high speed will enjoy the “goop loop”. Here you can gain acceleration up to 24.5 m/s². In addition, vacationers can try long tube rafting, spin slides and parallel slides to compete with friends.

Construction of the Ramayana water park Water Park"started in October 2011. This water park will officially open to visitors at the end of March 2016. The water pleasure center is located 15 km south of Pattaya, near the lake and Silver Lake vineyards. Guests of this water park will be able to visit 14 zones various entertainments, thematically related to the ancient epic “Ramayana”.

The water attractions include a “wave pool”. In one part of it you can sway on the sea surface with light ripples, as if in a breeze. The other part imitates real ocean waves. In addition, the park has a “lazy river” - a long pool with a current. A “flourwriter” has been built for surfing on the waves. Other original Ramayana structures: “vortex” and “family raft ride” are designed for 3-4 people at a time; “duel master blaster” – wet slides of different shapes and sizes; “Boomerango” is a half pipe with a large slope.

Beaches and nearby islands

The beaches of Pattaya do not enjoy the best reputation, although some vacationers are quite happy with them. Large equipped beach areas are located in the city center (along Beach Street) and in the Jomtien area - on south of Pattaya. The rest of the resort's beaches are much smaller. The main disadvantage of Pattaya beaches is water pollution. If the sand and beach area are still somehow cleaned, there is plenty of garbage in the sea.

Most tourists who come to Pattaya go for a swim on Koh Larn, an island 8 km away from the coast. Ferries operate daily from Bali Hai Pier, which is located near Walking Street at the foot of Pratumnak Hill speed boats. The ferry ride lasts about 40 minutes and costs 30 THB. The boat reaches Koh Larn in 15-20 minutes and costs 150 THB per person.

There are several equipped beaches on the island. The sea here is much cleaner than in the city of Pattaya, and the holiday is pleasant. On each of the beaches you can rent sun loungers and umbrellas, as well as dine at local restaurants. You can get around the island both by public transport and by rented motorbikes. If desired, it is not difficult to rent on Koh Lan hotel rooms and spend a few days.

In addition, from Pattaya you can take a boat to other, smaller islands. Such trips are preferred by those who love a deserted holiday, far from civilization.

What to see on your own in Pattaya

Pattaya is a popular global resort offering its guests a wide variety of entertainment and attractions. In Pattaya, it is interesting to visit the Temple of Truth, the elephant village and look at the golden rock image of Buddha. Except sea travel, Pattaya offers a variety of excursions along the coast - along historical monuments Buddhism, the tropical garden-park of Nong Nooch, the island of Samet, a crocodile farm, zoos, and places of national crafts and crafts. They also organize from Pattaya day trips to Bangkok and other Thai cities.

It’s interesting to take a walk along Volkin Street, which runs along seashore. It starts under Pratumnak Hill and extends to the beginning of Beach Road. During daylight hours this street looks quite dull and sleepy; it is a roadway. Towards the evening (after 18.00) this part of Pattaya is closed to public transport, and it is transformed.

Volkin Street appears as a bright, red-light street full of lights and entertainment. And although prostitution is officially prohibited in Thailand, many go-go bars, strip clubs and other similar establishments open on Volkin Street and adjacent intersections. Thrill-seekers and sex shows from all over the world especially come here. However, they are not the only ones. Every evening, many simple onlookers walk along Volkin Street - travelers who are far from the topic of sex tourism and even parents with children.

While walking around Pattaya, it is interesting to visit the high hill of the Big Buddha. At its top, where an asphalt road and 120 steps lead, there is a platform where a statue of the Big Buddha and smaller sculptures of Buddha are installed - a whole complex of religious monuments. There are several Buddhist relics here and you can receive blessings from the monks. The site offers wonderful views of the urban areas of Pattaya and the shore of the Gulf of Thailand. A little lower on the hill there is a beautiful Chinese temple with a monument to Confucius.

The neighboring Pratumnak Hill, located closer to the sea, also has attractions. An asphalt road leads to it from Big Buddha Hill. Pratamnak is higher and the climb up this hill is steeper. At the top of the hill, travelers will find an excellent observation deck from where they can clearly see the central part of the city and the island of Koh Larn.

On your own In Pattaya you can visit a transvestite show. They are shown in the city in three places at once - in entertainment centers Tiffany, Colosseum and Alcazar.

There are also several museums to explore within the city. The unusual Ripley Museum is located on the top floor of the Royal Garden Plaza shopping center. This is a whole museum complex, which consists of an endless mirror maze, a museum wax figures, a Believe It or Not museum, several fear rooms and a 4D cinema.

Ripley Museum

Under open air an interesting collection of miniature architectural attractions is exhibited - Mini Siam Park. There are the most famous Buddhist pagodas and monasteries of Thailand and Southeast Asia, as well as replicas of the most famous buildings in Europe. The park looks very beautiful in the evening, when the mini-monuments are illuminated with original lighting. Mini Siam is located on Sukhumvit Street, in the northern part of the city. You can get there by taxi or public transport around Sukhumvit.

Mini Siam Park

Opposite Mini Siam, in a building that resembles a large head, is the Bottle Art Museum Pattaya. This is an interesting collection of glass bottles with miniatures placed inside.

On Second Street, in the central part of Pattaya, opposite the Tiffany entertainment center, there is an original 3D museum (Art in paradise). It is interesting to visit for selfie lovers and beautiful photos against the background of works of 3D art.

Where to eat

Tourist packages in Pattaya, as a rule, only hotel breakfast is included, so travelers decide on their own food issues. But it's not a problem. It is impossible to go hungry at a Thai resort. Cafes, bars and restaurants are open here at every turn. Prices, as well as the level of service, of course, can differ significantly, so there is no need to rush. There is always a choice in Pattaya. And here you can always find a place that will satisfy absolutely everything - the range, the quality of food, the service, and the price.

Pattaya is made for tourists, so there are many restaurants here national cuisines– Russian, Turkish, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Mediterranean and others. Most cafes and restaurants serve European and Thai cuisine. Thai cuisine is very original and is considered one of the best in the world. Getting to know her means pleasant discoveries and... surprises. Thai food tends to be spicy. And if you want to try this or that local dish, it is better to ask the waiter not to make it spicy - “but spicy.”

Variety of Pattaya cuisine

Throughout Thailand, and Pattaya is no exception, there are many food vendors on the streets - makashnits. They sell fruit or skewers, pancakes, soups, freshly prepared salads, various sweets and ice cream. It is absolutely safe to eat from makashniks, since these people have been trading in the same places for years, sometimes from generation to generation. They serve both tourists and Thais themselves, and therefore are interested in having a good reputation and selling quality food to customers.

Many tourists who come to Pattaya prefer to eat in food courts. These are inexpensive public catering centers that are open in large shopping centers: Tukkom, Big C, Tesco, Mike Shopping Mall, Central Festival. Here, in one place, several small restaurants are concentrated, offering 10-15 dishes each. When you enter the food court, you can choose the dishes and drinks you like, just like in a dining room. Payment is made through the cash register using a plastic card or food court coupons.

Cheap food at food markets cities. Small restaurants and cafes are always open there. In addition, a lot of Seven-Eleven (7-11) and Family-Mart chain stores have been created in Pattaya. They work around the clock and sell ready-made chilled food (pizzas, main courses with rice), pancakes, sandwiches, burgers, as well as sausages, sausages and pies, which sellers, at the request of customers, heat up in microwaves for free. In addition, in these stores you can buy milk, yoghurts, juices, coffee, carbonated and drinking water, beer and alcoholic drinks. Waterpark at Pattaya Park Beach Resort

Most tourists opt for beautiful Thai folk crafts - painted fans and umbrellas made of Sa paper, wooden carved sculptures and boxes, souvenirs made of palm leaves, jewelry made of natural stone, shells and pearls, famous Thai silk and ceramics. In addition, you can buy high-quality leather belts, wallets and bags in Pattaya.

It is very convenient to buy souvenirs in the large Lukdot store, which is located at 209/10 Youmei Central Pattaya (North Street lane, near Sukhumvit). This store has almost all types of souvenirs and their prices are not inflated. It is also convenient that to “Lukdot” from Pattaya hotels there is a free shuttle service.

They also try to import locally produced cosmetics and balms, syrups, fruit vitamin supplements, coconut oil and noni juice from Thailand. Prices for such products can vary significantly. These types of goods are cheapest in Thai markets, as well as in the Beauty chain of specialized stores, of which there are several in Pattaya. One of them is located next to the famous Tukkom electronics center on South Street.

Transport

It is convenient to move around the city and its suburbs using rented cars or motorbikes - there are many car rental outlets in Pattaya. In addition, it is convenient to travel around Pattaya by taxi, although this is the most expensive way to get around the resort. Taxi cars stand out from other cars with their specific bright colors and checkered signs.

Motorbikes on the streets of Pattaya

Almost all cars have meters, however, drivers refuse to use them. In Pattaya this is the norm, and the price of the trip has to be negotiated. Unfortunately, taxi fares in Pattaya are several times higher than in Bangkok. The price of the trip starts from 100 THB (for very short distances). The usual price for traveling around the city is 200-300 THB.

Very cheap and popular modes of transport that are used by all tourists and residents of the city are songthaews, tuk-tuks and motorcycle taxis. Songthaew means "two benches" in Thai. This is the name given to pickup trucks with a covered body that are equipped to carry passengers. For 10-12 people there is seat place, and a few more passengers may be standing. A standard trip costs 10 THB, and for long distances it costs up to 30 THB.

Songthaew routes are located along most of the streets of Pattaya. Cars with white bodies drive around Sukhumvit, and blue songthaews carry passengers along the streets located to the west of Sukhumvit (the seaside part of the resort). There are also blue, green and red cars, but they mainly serve the non-tourist areas of Pattaya.

Songthaew can also be used as a taxi. To do this, you need to stop the car and agree with the driver on the route. In this case, the price of the trip will be comparable to the cost of a regular taxi, but if you bargain, it can be reduced slightly.

Tuk-tuks are covered three-wheeled scooters designed for 1-2 passengers. You need to negotiate the price of the trip with the tuk-tuk driver. Compared to Bangkok, where there are many tuk-tuks on all streets, in Pattaya such transport is quite rare.

It is also convenient to travel around Pattaya by motorcycle taxi, especially if you are traveling alone or together, without bulky cargo. You can get to the right place faster with scooters, as this type of transport easily avoids traffic jams. Places where there are motorcycle taxi drivers (motosai) are located near all shopping centers and almost every intersection. Drivers wear colored vests (orange, yellow, green and blue). The cost of a short distance trip (2 km) starts from 30 THB.

To get from Pattaya to Bangkok or to attractions located in the vicinity of the city, use regular buses and minivans.

How to get to Pattaya from Bangkok

To get from Russia to Pattaya, you first need to fly by plane to the capital of Thailand - Bangkok. Travel time without transfers will be 9-11 hours. Flights from Russia are accepted by the main airport of Thailand, Suvarnabhumi - the largest air gate South-East Asia. This airport is located on the eastern outskirts of Bangkok, and the road from it to the resort takes about two hours (165 km).

The first option to get to Pattaya is by taxi. Depending on the size of the car, the trip will cost 1200-4000 THB. To avoid scammers, it is better to order a car at the “Public Taxi” counter, which is located on the ground floor of the airport. From the arrivals area you can go down there by escalators.

The second, no less convenient, but much cheaper way is to come to Pattaya by regular bus. The ticket offices that sell tickets for these buses are located on the 1st level of the airport, near exit No. 8. The fare is 134 THB. And the travel time, like by taxi, is about two hours. Buses depart from 7.00 to 21.00 at hourly intervals. You can brighten up the waiting time in the nearby food court - have a snack, eat ice cream or drink coffee.

The final bus stop in Pattaya is a small bus station, which is located opposite the Foodmart store on Theppraya Street. This is the southern part of the city. Along the way, the bus makes several stops within the city limits of Pattaya - on Sukhumvit street (near North, Central and South streets), as well as on st. Teprazit (near the Outlet Mall). Knowing in which part of the city the hotel is located, you can get off at the desired stop and drive up to the hotel by taxi, songthaew or motorcycle taxi.

The sights of Pattaya are amazing and accessible to any tourist. You will want to see some things in Pattaya on your own, but somewhere else, on the contrary, it is more profitable to go with a tour. In any case, for convenience of choice, I wrote this article in which you will find all the most interesting attractions of Pattaya and a map in Russian, find out the entrance prices, and how to get to them. Plan in advance what to see in Pattaya when you come on vacation.

Please note that most titles are clickable. That is, by clicking on the title link, you will be taken to an article describing this attraction.

Sights of Pattaya and what to see in Pattaya

Observation platforms

Big Buddha and the Wat Phra Khao Yai temple is located on Pratumnak Hill, at 120 meters in height. It was not chosen by chance. You will have to climb 120 steps to clear your karma and get to observation deck.
At the foot of the temple there is a Chinese park dedicated to Lao Tzu and a statue of the goddess of mercy Guan Yin. It is customary for her to tell her about her failures and ask for help in business and love.
Speaking of magic and help. Right next to the steps, for 100 baht, Thais sell sparrows in cages, which are usually released into the wild after climbing onto the observation deck. Before releasing the birds, you should mentally make a wish.
To attract wealth and money, at the lookout you need to find the Chinese god Hotei (with a fat belly) and try to throw a coin into his navel. Judging by the shabby belly, there are a lot of people who want to get rich quickly!

How to get?

If you are vacationing on Pratumnak, you can easily reach it on foot. A visit to the Big Buddha is also included in the free sightseeing tour.
Big Buddha on the map:

If you want to do beautiful photos as a souvenir, drink delicious coffee and enjoy the views - come to Pratumnak Hill. There are 3 good viewing platforms here. I have already described the first one - at the big Buddha,
the second is located almost opposite the entrance to the Royal Cliff Hotel.

A huge inscription - Pattaya is the visiting card of the city, which is on any postcard. At this observation point you can see the Gulf of Thailand, the Bali Hai Pier, there are benches and an open-air gym nearby.

In order to get here, you need to walk up the hill from the tour policy booth and the rocking chair on the street. On Pratamnak there is an intersection from which “rays” diverge. One leads to the big Buddha, the second to the observation deck at the admiral.
The climb is quite steep, but worth it. You can get there on foot, by bike or by car.

The views of Pattaya and the bay are simply the best in the city! And as you know, all the best things are free.

Also here, from morning until 6 pm, my favorite coffee shop, Coffe Break, is open, where you can not only drink coffee at a communist price, but also admire the beautiful views as much as you like.

Pattaya has many great hotels with a stunning view.
The best panoramic view is of course from the Hillton Hotel, which rises above shopping center The festival is in the very center.

For those who don't know, the bar has happy hours every day from 5-7pm where you can get a 2-for-1 cocktail. A great opportunity to admire the view of Pattaya from the 32nd floor and the time is perfect - the sunsets in the city are incredible.

Farms with animals in Pattaya

You can see all the farms and zoos in Pattaya either independently or with a guided tour. If you have a Thai driver's license and transport, it may work out cheaper on your own; if not, it's better to buy a tour, the prices are reasonable.

In my opinion, the best farm with animals is located 10 km from Pattaya. Get there public transport It won’t work, he doesn’t go there.
On the sheep farm there are not only sheep, but also a new bird park, a magical town with fairy-tale characters, catamarans, cafes, and many other animals that you can feed by hand. As well as a trampoline, a Ferris wheel and other entertainment.

Entrance to the farm - 50 baht, feeding, entrance to the bird park, magic town - for an additional fee. fee.

With a tour of the sheep farm - 600 baht for adults and 400 for children (90-120cm).

Sheep farm on the map:

For those boys who are fans of horses and cowboys and girls who love the cartoon Little Pony. The park is designed in this theme. Many horses live here and a very cool cowboy show with horse tricks and fire is shown several times a day. Children (and adults too) are absolutely delighted.

Entrance on your own is a little expensive - 400 baht.
Included in several children's excursions or as an independent “dish” for 600 baht with transfer.

Good options for getting out for a walk with the kids. There are almost no animals on the Greta farm now (only rabbits, parrots and swans), but there is a playground and a children's room (100 baht entrance).
Entry is free.

Vander Farm is a place a couple of kilometers from Greta, where you can take a walk with your children, feed animals and birds, and sit in a cafe.
Entry is free.

Swiss Farm is a typical Thai farm with beautiful interiors, animals you can feed, a coffee shop and a number of other entertainments.
Entrance - 180 baht for adults and 90 for children.

Swiss farm - Swiss farm in Pattaya photo

You can only get to all these farms on your own.

If I were choosing which of these farms to go to with my children, I would choose not just one farm at a time, but the “Children's Adventures” excursion, which includes visits to the Teddy Bear Museum, a sheep farm and a visit to the Pippo Pony Club.
Price - 1000 adults and 700 children.

Pattaya Zoos

The best zoo in Pattaya is, of course, the Khao Kheow Open Zoo. Located 45 km from Pattaya, half-day excursions and evening safaris are available there.

You can feed all the animals (and there are more than a hundred species) and take photos with them. Rare animals include koalas, binturongs, tapirs and others.

There are shows - bathing elephants, animal shows, feeding penguins and birds.

tapir in Khao Kheo

If you go on your own, the entrance price is about 300 baht + 50 baht for car entry.
With a tour, the price is 600 baht including round-trip transfer, tickets to the show and movement around the park.

The new tiger zoo in Pattaya is an opportunity to interact with real tigers and take photos with them right in the enclosure. Do not be afraid, tigers have been raised for generations by professional breeders, who not only carefully raise them without the use of special means, but are also with you when you visit these felines.
The difference between this tiger zoo and the tiger park in Sriracha is that the tigers here are well-groomed, not drugged, well-fed and happy.

In this tiger zoo you can interact with baby tigers who are only 1.5-2 months old, with teenage tigers and of course with adult tigers.

They take you there on an excursion, it comes as part of the Tiger Zoo + Nong Nooch Garden and costs only 900 baht. Or get there yourself.
In any case, it is worth noting that photos and communication with tigers are always for an additional fee and are NOT included in the price of the excursion.

I perfectly understand people who come to Pattaya on vacation and do not want to overpay 2-3 times for excursions offered by the tour operator. And there are so many street agencies that your eyes run wide and you don’t know who to turn to so as not to be deceived and get an honest ride.
Therefore, if you want, write in the comments, I will share the contacts of the travel agency with which we travel ourselves and recommend to friends. I am confident in the quality of their services and prices, because I heard only rave reviews from all the readers who vacationed with them.

As it is also called “crocodile”, it is also worth a visit. If you are by car or bike, you can easily get there yourself.

Photo Pattaya - crocodile farm

Here is the crocodile farm on the map:

If there is no transport, don't worry. The price of the guided tour is the same as the entrance price, but you will be picked up from your hotel and brought back.

Price - 500 baht

At the crocodile farm you will see all kinds of crocodiles, alligators and shows with them. You can feed the animals and see the park of million-year-old stones.
Those who want to taste the crocodile can also join in.

There is a good children's playground on site.

Shows and entertainment

It’s simply unthinkable to come to Thailand and not attend at least a couple of local shows!

Recently, the Kaan show, incredible in scale and expense, appeared in Pattaya.

If you haven't read it, I recommend reading it

There is nothing like it anywhere in the world. If you have the opportunity to go, I recommend it.
Prices for visiting depend on the zone and start from 2,400 baht.

The most popular shows in Pattaya featuring transvestites:

Alcazar, Tiffany and Colosseum

There is no big difference between them, but the Colosseum is newer, larger and “richer”.

By price:

Alcazar - 600
Tiffany - 650
Colosseum – 500

If you live in the center of Pattaya, then you can walk to the Alcazar and Tiffany show yourself. They are held several times a day.
The Colosseum is located on Tepprasit Street, next to the cheapest food market in the city.

Also in Pattaya there are shows for very adults: the big eye show and the X-show.

X-show - 450
Big eye - 550.

Gardens and parks of Pattaya

if you love beautiful gardens, walk a lot and want to enjoy the beauty of the local tropical nature, then in Pattaya you should go to the famous Nong Nooch Park.

The newest water park, which is among the best in the world and is considered No. 1 in Asia according to Tripadviser.

You can get there on your own using your own transport or by ordering a transfer from the water park on their website.
Usually the price is the same as with a guided tour, so decide for yourself.
They often offer discounts and promotions on Thai driving licenses for residents (business visa and student visa holders).

You need to go there for the whole day in the morning. Everyone likes it, even very small children, for whom there is a separate children's area.
Among the advantages are inexpensive and tasty food on site, separate “boar” zones, free photos of your races by e-mail and paid framed photos (300 baht) from a local photographer.

Price of excursion to Ramayana - 1250/1100

This aqua couple is already 4 years old, which of course makes him a little tired. Of the minuses, some slides are often closed and do not compensate for this glaring fact.
On the plus side, there is a surfing area that teenagers love.

I would also add as a disadvantage the expensive food and drinks on site, but the food is tasteless and the drinks too.

Plus, there is evening skiing, when the main part of the water park is closed, but a children's area, surfing and swimming in the waves are left. We were there for the promotion and we liked it.

Price - 1350/1250

Museums and temples of Pattaya

Strangely enough, there are a lot of museums and temples in Pattaya. They are of course inferior to the Louvre and the Tretyakov Gallery, but beach resort it's forgivable.

In my opinion, worth a visit:

A new gallery-interactive museum dedicated to the works of Van Gogh, Monet and Renoir.
In it you can “open” canvases by throwing balls at them, get acquainted with the work of great artists and a description of their life path, watch many great paintings that are broadcast using the latest projectors on the walls and ceiling.

Van Gogh in Pattaya - Art Gallery Hello Van Gogh!

This museum will appeal to both adults and children, as you can lie around, eat and drink, take photographs, and simply enjoy painting to the accompaniment of classical music.

The Hello Van Gogh gallery is located on the Sukhumvit highway. You can take a white tuk-tuk for 20 baht one way and the same way back.
Entrance to the gallery is 300 baht.

Or go there as part of the Luxury of Siam excursion. It includes a visit not only to the Van Gogh Gallery, but also to the Palace of the Chicken King + show, which also deserves attention.
Price - 1200 baht.

Rippley's Museum - Believe It or Not

An entertainment attraction located on the second floor of the Royal Garden shopping center in the center of Pattaya.
You can get there by tuk tuk for 10 baht from Jomtien, Naklua and other areas.

In addition to this museum, there is a horror room, a wax museum and other entertainment.

Teddy Bear Museum

The Teddy Bear Museum is in constant demand among all categories of tourists. Bears from different countries are carefully collected here, in a variety of images and situations.
In my opinion, the entry price is too high, but you can go once.
The price on your own is 500 baht.
With an excursion - 1000/700 according to the Children's Adventures program.

Located on Beach Road in the heart of Pattaya:

It is difficult to answer the question of which massage parlor in Pattaya is the best, because there is none. At the same time, there are more than a thousand massage parlors in the city and it’s worth going to any nearest one.

The main rules that should be followed in order not to get into trouble.

Do not go to massage parlors on the mean streets - Volkin Street, in the alleys of Boys Town and neighboring ones, unless of course you want to get a massage "continued."

Choose a massage parlor that is literally prettier. My experience suggests that the cleaner, more well-groomed, and more beautiful the salon, the more carefully they select staff and treat clients. At the same time, the prices there will be the same as everywhere else: 200 baht for Thai massage and foot massage, 300 baht for oil massage, etc.

Take a stronger aunt or uncle as your masseuse. Express your wishes before the session. Don't worry, they don't speak English well, so sign language will come in handy.

If you have skin diseases, pregnancy, or any other conditions, it is better not to go or warn the massage therapist.

If you really liked the massage, it’s not a sin to leave a tip. The usual tip in this case is 50-100 baht. You should not give in coins; it is perceived as humiliation.

Spa salons and saunas

There are spa salons in Pattaya, there is no point in describing them all. The most expensive ones are those at hotels. Prices for services in them tend to reach outer space.
If you want to get a quality massage or spa service, there are 2 Helth Land centers, one next to Thepprasit night market, right on Sukhumvit, and the second on North Street, next to the large Tesco Lotus.
They are popular among Thais, people sign up there, because if you come just like that, there may not be room.
Certified masters work there and this is certainly not a massage on Jomtien beach.
Prices are a little higher. Massage from 400 baht, spa programs from 1000 baht.

Jomtien Sauna in Pattaya

The most affordable sauna in Pattaya with an excellent steam room in which the wood was brought all the way from Finland.

The surroundings are very simple, but whoever comes to take a steam bath and not for glamor is the place.

There are two steam rooms - a Turkish hammam and a classic steam room.
The temperature is maintained, there are ice baths (really ice), an outdoor pool, massage, a cafe and exercise equipment.
Entrance is only 200 baht for the whole day. Open until 20 pm.

Sauna Mari Jari

Russian sauna, a whole complex on Wat Bun street. Entry price is 350 baht for the whole day, this includes access to the pool and steam rooms.
This is the most popular sauna among local Russian expats.

New Japanese spa sauna Yunomori Onsen Spa Pattaya

Yunomori Sauna Yunomori Onsen & Spa Pattaya is a magical place. The entrance price is a little higher compared to others - 450 baht per person, but the sauna is amazing.
In addition to the usual steam rooms, there are also Japanese ones and, in general, a new building, excellent service and many additional services.

Yunomori Onsen Spa Pattaya on the map:

Pattaya beaches

The beaches in the city are quite mediocre, so don't expect much from them.
Best beaches in Pattaya - the beach near the Asia Hotel on Pratumnak, (soi 4), beaches in the north near the Centara Hotel. In the south - at the Ambassador, Dor-Shada, Botany Beach hotels.
These beaches are better because they are usually cleaner sand and water.
New sand was brought to Jomtien, but garbage is still thrown out of the sea, and it is also left behind by locals and tourists.
Swimming is possible, it differs from day to day and can be either clean or not so clean.

The best beaches near Pattaya are:

How to save on insurance?

Insurance abroad is required. Any appointment is very expensive and the only way to avoid paying out of pocket is to choose an insurance policy in advance. We have been registering on the website for many years, which give the best prices insurance and selection along with registration takes only a couple of minutes.

I deliberately did not include in the list some popular attractions, the visit of which I consider optional. For example, the Mini Siam park, the local aquarium in Pattaya - they are morally and physically outdated and there is no point in going there.

Sights of Pattaya on your own, which ones are better to visit on your own, and which ones to take an organized tour?

Are excursions in Pattaya on your own worth it?

On forums about Thailand, there is an opinion that it is always better to go on all the excursions on your own, that a guide only gets in the way, and that you can see more of everything.

To be honest, I don’t quite share this point of view. For example, if you and a small child decide to visit the Elephant Farm, then you can only get there by taxi. Why overpay for a taxi if the excursion costs the same as admission ticket. Those. in fact, they will pick you up from your hotel and return you home for free - It’s more profitable to take an excursion to such places.

I’ll add that many of Pattaya’s attractions have hidden places that even long-livers don’t know about, for example, almost no one knows where you can ride elephants, and you’re also unlikely to find the long-necked Koren tribe yourself.

And the last point is when to take organized excursion instead of self-guided tours, these are exclusive tours. So it will be very difficult for you to get to Monkey Island near Pattaya, the Oyster Farm and many other places where excursions are organized.

Otherwise I'm for self-guided tours and a trip to the Sights of Pattaya on your own!

We tried to compile a list of which Attractions Pattaya is better visit on your own. We highly recommend having this list on hand if the weather suddenly becomes cloudy, or if you’re simply in the mood to visit something new.

Khao Kheo Zoo

The zoo is a must visit! I do not recommend taking a tour here, because... they pass many interesting places, i.e. with a tour you will see 50% of what is here. You are unlikely to be taken to the section with aquatic animals, where through transparent glass you can watch a swimming hippopotamus or penguins diving from the second floor; you may not even be stopped at the birdcage, where there are multi-level passages with waterfalls and huge Toucans; you will be taken to only one approach to the giraffe, where there is a crowd of Chinese, but they will not stop you on the other side, where you can calmly admire all the animals from the Heights. It’s better to devote the whole day to the Zoo and be sure to go around by transport: your own bike, taxi, rent an electric car at the entrance. Although at the very beginning you have to stop every 5 minutes and this is wildly annoying - then the distances increase sharply to 5 kilometers.

Golden Buddha Hill

Excursions to the Golden Buddha are offered as needed. Most likely they just deliver it to . They don’t bring it to the Beautiful Chinese Garden at all. Of course, if you take an excursion, you can get free transport, because there is no public transport here. But if you eat on your own, you can visit the Golden Buddha, Chinese garden, observation deck, and end the day at the chic restaurant Zucchini and Condomy.

Underwater World Pattaya

After the reconstruction in 2014, an excellent aquarium, I liked it much more than in Bangkok, and the Pattaya one costs 2 times more. If you are not spoiled by excellent aquariums, you want to watch sharks swim above you, feed fish from your hands, look at stingrays and much, much more - it’s better to go yourself. You won't win in terms of price, but you will have much more time. I walked here for probably 4 hours, constantly returning to previous halls or waiting for the next group to pass.

Nong Nooch Garden

One of the most interesting places in Pattaya! Many people go to this city just for this garden, and I’ll tell you honestly that if you are not spoiled by travel and don’t fly to Europe for the weekend, then this garden will blow your mind! It's definitely worth spending the whole day there. Nong Nooch Garden is a stunning blend of landscape design and Thai imagination. If you want to bring from Thailand nice photos- then you should go to Nong Nooch Park.

Visit Nong Nooch on your own: It is located about 30 km from the city, far from the Tak-Tuk route. But at the park itself you can order a free transfer from your hotel. It will be quite interesting for children, because... there are a lot of interactive sculptures that you can touch

Temple of Truth

One of the most famous temples Thailand and the most famous in Pattaya! One of the Thai millionaires initially builds the Thai Wonder of the World and he comes up with a magnificent wooden temple! The level of skill is simply amazing, so I highly recommend going there. Every hour there is a tour in Russian, but I didn’t really like it because... there are a lot of “statistics” and few living stories.

Visit the Temple of Truth on your own: Getting to the Temple of Truth is quite difficult, the road goes through small alleys and with constant turns, so either take a taxi or an online map. The cafe on site is expensive and tasteless, and entertainment is expensive, so children may get bored.

Miniature Park Mini Siam

A park in which the main attractions of the whole world are recreated in miniature. More precisely, the park is divided into 2 parts: Sights of the world and sights of Thailand. The park is especially beautifully transformed in the evening, when all the attractions are illuminated. That is why it is better to visit the park around 17.00, so you will be able to see everything both during daylight and at night. You can also take a free sun umbrella at the entrance, because... There is very little shade in the area.

Visit Mini Siam on your own: It is located on Sukhumvit within the city limits, so you can easily get there by tuk-tuk. They sell ice cream and excellent brewed coffee on site, and right next door there is a McDonald's, Karting, a Plant Market, and an Arena for Thai fights, where real serious tournaments are held! The kids love it here!

Crocodile Farm and Million Year Stones Park

I expected something boring from a crocodile farm tourist place, but I was very wrong. The farm owners organized more than worthy entertainment! My favorite thing was feeding the crocodiles with chicken from a fishing rod, crocodile steak, and the rock garden! Didn't like: crocodile show.
Visit the crocodile farm on your own: You can only get to it by your own transport, which is of course a minus, but I wouldn’t go here with a guide either, because... Groups ran past us several times. The problem with excursions is that the guide has nothing to tell - everything is brand new, and you need to do a lot of excursions a day, so they just run with tourists along the main route, then give them 30 minutes to walk around on their own and immediately take them away. And it’s very cool to take a walk on the farm - there are active tigers, a zoo with giraffes, large playgrounds and much more. Therefore, it is better to order a transfer, but not an excursion. It is worth visiting with children, there is a lot of interesting things for them.

Three Kingdoms Park

A very good Chinese-style theme park, and there is a free car museum park very close by. Here you can rent Chinese national costumes and take great photos. Overall excellent quiet place with good views.

Three Kingdoms Park is one of the non-tourist attractions of Pattaya, and is also located on its outskirts, so public transport does not go here. During the winter, we really liked to come here for a walk, but if I had been in Pattaya for just a couple of weeks, I would have chosen something else.

Tiger Zoo in SiRacha

As the name implies, this is a zoo where much attention is paid to tigers. Here you can feed the tiger cubs from a bottle (this is just the most mi-mi-mi, all the girls are delighted), play with them in the enclosures, and watch a tiger show. Of course, there are other animals: elephants, piglets, and goats. Everyone can be fed and everyone can be ridden. Apart from the tiger cubs, the zoo is inferior to Khao Kheo, but you can go there.

Go to the Sriracha Tiger Zoo on your own: Children, of course, will be interested, but there are tigers + Thai carelessness. If a child behaves inappropriately, the tiger will attack. The zoo is 40 km away. from Pattaya and 7 from the highway. (But very close to Khao Kheo).

Sheep farms

As of 2016, there are 2 large sheep farms in Pattaya. One is simpler, where it’s nice to relax: you let the children into the rabbits’ enclosure, and you yourself sit in the shade of the trees with a delicious cocktail. The second one is more touristy - the sheep there are like something out of a cartoon: perfectly clean, with very soft wool, on the territory itself a large number of places for interesting photographs, but it’s just like in a museum, i.e. You can’t sit and relax.

Silver Lake

Famous Thai vineyard. Very tasty grapes and homemade wine are grown and sold here. They can only be purchased here. The park became famous because... He was the first to place interesting elements for photographs on his territory. Various flower swings, or a huge pumpkin with a huge watering can.

Visit Silver Lake on your own: Little shade, large area for walking in the open air. Otherwise everything is very interesting.

Elephant Village

The elephant village is very ambiguous. This was actually the first attraction that we visited in Pattaya on our own. It turned out that there are several farms in Pattaya: about 3, and you can ride elephants almost everywhere. Best Show Elephant Tour takes place in Nong Nooch Park. And the skating itself is quite boring, you sit and swing and realize that in the next 30 minutes you will only ride 500 meters, i.e. you can really see the destination you will be driving towards. But on the other hand, the guide told the story that before there were a lot of elephants in Thailand and they were used for work, but then this was banned, and the mahouts could not feed the elephants, so they were simply shot. For example, in Cambodia and Laos at one time there were no elephants left at all. The Thais came up with Elephant Farms so that tourists would come to admire and feed the animals. Only thanks to this it is possible to save these animals. That's why we try to feed the elephants in any place =) They are cool.

Transvestite show: Alcazar show, Colosseum, Tiffany

All shows are approximately the same and all follow the same scenario: some popular song starts, a boy dressed as a girl comes out to it and opens his mouth, and other boys dressed as girls dance around. Previously, this was unusual for us, so the show gained enormous popularity, but now boys dress up as girls, grow beards and sing on TV, so people attend the show simply because of the image, and not because there is something interesting there.

floating market

The place is interesting, but 100% touristic. Those. they dug 3 canals from scratch, put in traders there with small tourist items and a 300% markup, set them up around the shops and called it all a floating market. I would go for the exotic stuff, but everything there is very sleek and very small. If this is your first time in Thailand, then you can take a look.

Visit the floating market on your own: children will be bored, you can get there on a white tuk-tuk, which runs around Sukhumvit.

Dinosaur Park

Designed to be an amazing place to take your kids for a walk, where you'll encounter full-size moving dinosaur statues in the middle of the jungle. But as of 2014, the park is in decline. There are no visitors, the statues are falling apart, nothing is moving, entry costs 500 baht. The only plus is that at the entrance to the Park there is a giant dinosaur skull, the size of an adult human. It attracts attention. But there is nothing to do inside!

Wat Yan Temple

Active temple complex. Of all the temples around Pattaya, Wat Yang is the most unusual. Many admire its shape, many are decorated with bushes, many really like the inside of the temple. There are wax statues of mnachs there - they look amazing! More precisely, I would advise visiting the temple itself precisely because of them, because... Wat Yan, upon closer inspection, does not seem so chic, especially since you can’t go inside it, and the gates boarded up with boards generally spoil the impression. Behind the temple there is a mountain with an observation deck and an imprint of Buddha. The climb is hard and hot, and the view is not worth it. Therefore, this is not a mandatory part of the excursion.

Visit Wat Yan on your own: there is no public transport, children may be bored, women need clothes with covered ankles and shoulders, men with covered knees.

Chinese temple

Very close to Wat Yan there is a Chinese temple. And this is what I recommend. To be honest, I’m not a fan of art, or rather, I don’t understand it. But the temple contains very interesting sculptures - there are also soldiers from the Chinese Terracotta Army, there are Shaolin monks, there is a balcony with gorgeous view to the mountains. There is a park nearby where you can buy turtles and release them into the lake, or feed the fish.

Visit a Chinese temple on your own: There is no public transport, children will be bored, you need to walk around the temple without shoes, all the signs are in Chinese and English.

Rock Carving of the Golden Buddha

The largest rock image of Buddha in Thailand. It is laser cut into the rock and filled with gold leaf. There is a small park with gazebos around. Everything is very clean and tidy. Hidden away at the bus stop is one of the elephant farms. You will have to look for it, because... There are no identifying marks. It’s a pity, but in the evenings the rock is not illuminated, but it would be very beautiful.

Koh Larn island and its viewing platforms.

Koh Larn is the closest island to Pattaya. heavenly beaches. The swim is only 40 minutes. You can stay overnight on Koh Lan, and many people love it for its silence and starry sky, because... At night the island dies out, and in the morning you are the first to find yourself on the beach. I like to ride around Kolan on a bike, because... Its mountains offer stunning views!

Samet Island

Samet Island is considered national reserve, and its beaches are considered among the best in Thailand. In addition to tours to local hotels, tourists from Pattaya are also brought here to see good beaches. There is perfectly white fine sand and a magnificent blue sea. At night, tables or blankets are laid out on the beach and magnificent fire shows are organized on the beach for everyone. I highly recommend that you go here, but not as a tour, but on your own for the weekend.

Koh Sichang Island

The island that is presented as historical excursion. There really is something to see: This and Royal Palace, and the Katian temple, carved out of the rock, and stunning observation platforms. There is also a small beach on the island, which is completely empty on weekdays and fills up on holidays. Everyone leaves for the island from the city of Sirachi, where there is also a lot of interesting things to see (a pool with giant turtles)

Viewpoints in Pattaya

There are 2 official viewing platforms in Pattaya. One 24-hour service is very close to the Golden Buddha on Pratamnak, and the second is near the port with a large illuminated Pattaya sign. The second one closes after dark. Of course, every skyscraper can be considered an observation deck; the restaurant in the Pattaya Park Tower is also very popular.

Go to the observation decks on your own: Public transport does not go here, and there are no pedestrian paths; many people do not know and have to walk along the roadway. But when you get there, there are a lot of interesting things around each one that you won’t see on an organized excursion.

Temple of Hell and Heaven (Wat Saen Suk)

Located 60 kilometers from Pattaya. The place is strange, it shows in the form of sculptures the punishments that await sinners. And the sculptures are made very creepy. A murderer whose stomach is torn open and a raven eats his intestines, or a woman who drinks hot lead for drunkenness. IN general place very much not an amateur.
Visit the Temple of Heaven and Hell on your own: there is no public transport, all signs are in Thai, rarely in English, it’s better without children

Chicken King Farm

It’s difficult to call this place a landmark, but the structure is quite unusual, which is why it is often found in guidebooks. In fact, this is a banquet hall with beautiful grounds. I wouldn't go on purpose. The decoration of the territory is purely in Thai style: There are antique statues, but for the Thais they are too white, so the statues are dressed in real colorful clothes.

Take a trip to the Chicken King Farm on your own: Children will be bored; you can get there on a White tuk-tuk, which goes along Sukhumvit. Entrance to the territory is paid.

Museum of 3D paintings (Art paradise pattaya)

A museum of interactive paintings, when a painting can extend beyond its boundaries and you are invited to become part of this painting. It is in Pattaya that the museum is very well thought out and they try to take care of it so that there are no visible scuffs from frequent photographs, or peeling walls, etc. But on the other hand, such galleries have now begun to appear in all cities, including here in Russia (they definitely already exist in St. Petersburg and Moscow).

Visit Art paradise pattaya on your own: You can get there by public transport, the kids really like it.

Cartoon Network Amazone

A water park opened in 2014, forty kilometers from Pattaya. Those. there is a small water park in Pattaya itself, near the Patatya Park hotel and there is a new Cartoon Networl Amazone. This is a large theme park with big amount slide

Go to the water park on your own: there are white tuk-tuks running around Sukhumvit, of course it will be interesting for children, but the prices for a water park are still too high.

Waterpark "Romayana"

To be honest, when it opened, I didn’t even pay attention. Its name is kind of soviet, as if the very rich Roma opened some kind of business for his Yana, we usually open beauty salons, but here is a water park, why not. But more than a year has passed and there is a huge amount of positive feedback and almost no negative ones. The only complaint about the water park is the price and buffet. The buffet is crap and everything is very overpriced.

Open from 10:00 to 18:00
Price: 1500 baht per adult and 1100 baht per child. Locker for things 50 baht.

For many years, Pattaya has held the lead in popularity among tourists from many countries. It has everything you need for a good rest - nightly entertainment, rich excursion program and several beaches of fairly good quality.

Now the city is losing points in comparison with Phuket, Krabi province and Koh Samui. But, nevertheless, it makes sense to look at the city in a new way, because there is a lot of interesting things here. Behind last years Two modern water parks were built, magnificent tigers await visitors at the Si Racha Zoo, and popular national shows constantly update the program.

Although the city beaches of Pattaya may not seem picturesque enough for the sophisticated tourist, this is still the gentle coastline of the Gulf of Thailand. It is warm here all year round, there is an abundance of delicious exotic fruits, and hospitable Thais always welcome guests.

The best hotels and inns at affordable prices.

What to see and where to go in Pattaya?

The most interesting and Beautiful places for walks. Photos and brief description.

The Buddha statue is located on a hill in the center of Pattaya between two city beaches. This attraction is definitely included in sightseeing tours around town. The statue was erected with funds from local businessmen in 1977. The monument reaches 15 meters in height and 10 meters in width. To get to the statue and the observation area, you need to climb a staircase of 120 steps. The Big Buddha stands surrounded by small statues of the god, which represent virtues.

A magnificent building, built of valuable wood. It began to be built in 1981 with funds from P. Viriyapan, work is still ongoing. The estimated completion date of construction is 2025. At first, the businessman wanted to invest in the construction of apartments for tourists, but Buddhist monks convinced him otherwise. The Temple of Truth is home to several religions, the internal space is divided into 4 halls: Thai, Indian, Chinese, Cambodian.

The temple was built to show respect to the royal Chakri dynasty and is therefore under the care of the royal family. The complex consists of several dozen religious buildings built in Thai, Indian and Chinese architectural styles. Some pavilions are designed in a mixed architectural style. The main shrine of the place is considered to be the footprint of Buddha, located on the outskirts of the complex on the top of the hill.

A picturesque tropical park created in 1980 by Mrs. T. Nongnuch. After a long trip to other countries, she decided to create a Garden of Eden in her homeland that would decorate the city landscape. The place quickly became popular among locals and tourists; its daily attendance reached almost 2,000 people. Now Nong Nooch is the largest Botanical Garden in the territory of Southeast Asia.

A miniature park with over 100 miniature replicas of famous Thai and world landmarks. The territory is divided into two parts. The first is called “Mini Siam”, here you can admire copies of famous architectural objects located in different parts of Thailand. In the second part, called “Mini Europe,” copies of famous European (and not only) cathedrals, statues and other monuments are exhibited.

An amusement park created in 1992 according to the project and funds of a local businessman. The park has three thematic parts - a small zoo, a rock garden and a crocodile farm. The menagerie is home to peacocks, zebras, giraffes, tigers, and bears. The crocodile lake is home to several species of toothed predators - the guial, the Siamese and the saltwater crocodile. An eerie show is organized especially for tourists, during which local animators put their hands in the mouths of the animals.

A Chinese park arranged according to the laws of Feng Shui. The project was created by a businessman of Chinese origin, K. Sri Fueng Fung, who took the plot of the book “The Three Kingdoms” as the basis. This work describes a certain period in the history of the Celestial Empire, when it was divided into three parts - the kingdoms of Wu, Shu and Wei. The park has an art gallery and a museum of petrified trees. The design of the area is made in a mixed Chinese and Thai style.

A sheer rock 130 meters high with a flat face on which the image of Buddha is inscribed in gold. The place is carefully guarded, as $3 million worth of precious metal was purchased for this purpose. It never even occurs to local Thais to “get” a piece of gold from the sacred image; apparently, the authorities are afraid of the numerous tourists. There is a small cozy square around the rock, equipped with benches and gazebos.

Grape plantation and landscape park in the vicinity of Pattaya. The place belongs to an influential and wealthy family. Silver Lake or Silver Lake is, rather, popular place There are very few Thais to visit, and there are very few foreigners here. The park's territory is decorated with windmills, sculptures, gazebos, pavilions and flower alleys. There are shops and restaurants inside the pavilions.

The gallery opened quite recently - in 2012. The exhibition consists of paintings created in 3D projection. There are quite a lot of exhibits; they are located on an area of 5.8 thousand m². The most popular entertainment among tourists is to take pictures with paintings so that in the photo it looks as if the person is a full-fledged participant in the action.
