Entertainment and attractions of Costa Adeje

Siam Park- a new water park in Tenerife. This is one of the most popular places on the island for family vacation. It’s also interesting here without children - many of the slides are designed just for adult visitors.

Aqualand- an older, but still popular water park.

Monkey Park - perfect place for holidays with children. Besides monkeys, there are other animals here.

Golf Costa Adeje. This 27-hole golf course is considered one of the best in Europe. Beginners can hire an instructor.

Teide National Park. Almost every tourist flying to Tenerife wants to admire this attraction.

Port of Puerto Colon accepts only yachts and pleasure boats, so it absolutely does not spoil the atmosphere of relaxation and the excellent landscape. Here you can rent a yacht or buy a walking tour of the Canary Islands.

Shopping

Plaza del Duke- the most famous shopping center in this area of the island. Shopping lovers will find a variety of goods here. Fashion boutiques often have sales with big discounts. There are 2 more shopping centers nearby Fanabe And El Mirador.

Restaurants, clubs, nightlife

Main part nightlife takes place in the western part of the resort, closer to the border with the resort of Las Americas. This is where most of the establishments open until late at night are concentrated. In other areas of the resort, after dark, almost all establishments close and the streets become noticeably empty.

Casino Playa de las Americas- this is a kind of local Las Vegas.

Monkey Beach Club is a very popular bar located in Las Americas on Troya Beach.

How to get to Costa Adeje

From the southern and northern airports you can take the local buses, but the most convenient option would be to order a taxi from the airport before departure (transfer) or rent a car. This is especially convenient if you are traveling with luggage or traveling with children. You can order a transfer from Tenerife Airport to Costa Adeje through this form.

If you have already been here, leave reviews about your holiday in Costa Adeje and share your impressions of your trip to Tenerife!

We vacationed in Adeje as a family with children (daughter 7 years old, son 5 years old) in July 2016. We were very pleased, but first things first.

There is not much natural beauty here, but it is there. The very combination of ocean + mountains is impressive. We lived in the Malibu apartment complex, which is located on the top level of Adeje with a balcony opening beautiful view in Adeje, the ocean and mountains are right at point blank range. Of course, somewhere in Los Gigantes the natural beauty is even steeper, there is nothing like that here... But there is life here, which is not there... With children, it is still important to have the infrastructure nearby.

There are few attractions in Adeje. The main attractions are two water parks. New Siam Park - which is in great demand and is the second most visited site after Loro Parque. The second water park (old) is located next to the Malibu complex, there is also a dolphinarium there, but we did not spend money on it, since we preferred the slightly more expensive, but better quality Siam Park, and we saw dolphins and killer whales in Loro Parque. There was no particular desire to pay a second time. But from Adeje you can get to all the attractions of the island in 30-40 minutes by car. That's why it's convenient to live here. In fact, only Loro Park and Las Teresitas beach take about 1.5 hours by car from here. Everything else is literally at your fingertips.

Transport accessibility is excellent, especially if you arrive at the southern airport. In fact, 10 minutes by car and you are already at your hotel in Adeje. We flew to the northern airport and got there by car on our own in 1 hour and 45 minutes using navigation. There is an excellent highway from the airport, so again everything is fast here. You can also use public transport, but with children we don’t even consider such options.

The beaches and sea are excellent. In fact, there are several beaches in Adeje, each with its own merits. There is less, there is more. We visited them all. We liked Fanebe due to its width it does not create the feeling of a crowd and El Duque (Across the cape from Fanabe), where there is a very beautiful cove with big waves on one side and smaller on the other. The kids really liked it there and so did we. The only thing is that there is no embankment there (with beer and restaurants).

Nightlife in Adeje is vibrant and loud. On the upper levels of Adeje it is very quiet and calm (perfect for families with children), but downstairs in the hotel area it is quite noisy. Moreover, the closer the center, the noisier it is. We were there once in the evening - I’m sure that lovers of nightlife in Adeje will not get bored.

The resort infrastructure is very good high level. After all, it’s a resort center. There is everything you need for a good holiday for any tourist. With children, I really can’t say that there is entertainment on every corner, but in principle there is something to do.. But we seemed to have fun just by riding around the entire island and thus the children had fun with us.

The price level is normal for a central resort. Lunch cost us about 35-55 euros for four, depending on how many dishes we took. The cost of food in Tenerife depends on whether it is imported or not. For example, seafood products are quite cheap, fruits are like ours, but for some reason they are not very juicy and sweet (apparently they are brought from somewhere). Bananas are gorgeous because they are grown in Tenerife. Our cabbage costs 2 euros/kg:) I had to switch to shredded cabbage in sets. In general, one trip to the store to buy food and alcohol for 3-4 days cost us 70-90 euros. Just “dropping in” to buy something for lunch or dinner (milk, bread, breakfast for children, watermelon + some small things) - a check of up to 20 euros. Try to buy for 10+ euros to avoid paying for parking in Mercadona (a shopping center in the city). Yes, by the way, parking is paid everywhere! Something like 1 euro/hour...

To communicate in Adeje you need to English language. Still, the bulk of vacationers are English. There are also plenty of Russians, but now there are much fewer of them than before. But many restaurants have menus in Russian, so you definitely won’t go hungry :) It’s useless to speak English in stores. Basically, body language + brand name + smile on the face solves all language problems.

For three centuries, Casa Fuerte protected the town and played the role of a political and economic center. And in 1902 it was almost completely destroyed by a major fire. Many valuable historical artifacts were kept within the walls of the fortress. Only a small part was saved, they are exhibited in the Museum Canary Islands, located on the island of Gran Canaria.

Not far from Adeje there is the famous walking route Hell's Gorge. Along the winding mountain path you can walk to a small waterfall.

Iberostar Selection Sábila - Adults Only 5 stars

Hotel in Adeje

Iberostar Sábila - Adults Only is located on Fanabe Beach in Costa Adeje, Tenerife. The hotel is surrounded by a large garden. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Excellent staff, there are simply no words, from the reception to the kitchen! There were Russian-speaking people at the reception, but we were most looking forward to Natalia, she always explained everything in detail, and if we needed help, she was willing to help. The cuisine was incredibly tasty, there was everything on the table: salmon, salted and grilled, jamon cut from the leg, a separate table Italian cuisine and so on. At breakfast there was a huge choice, but most of all we liked their omelet, which the chef prepares in front of you, and of course the presence of champagne at breakfast made us very happy! The beach is really good, when we walked along the coast and compared other places with ours, we realized that we were incredibly lucky with the beach! The breakwaters are at an adequate distance and there is room for swimming, the walk to the ocean is only 2-3 minutes, and on the neighboring beaches it was very rocky, the breakwaters were so close that it seemed like it was a puddle and not the ocean, but our beach I can confidently say it was the best. And when they gave us the account statement, we saw one extra bottle of wine, and what was nice was that they immediately showed us the receipts, checked everything and crossed it out, in time - it took no more than 5 minutes!

Tigotan Lovers & Friends Playa de las Americas - Adults Only (+18) 4 stars

Hotel in Playa de las Americas

Tigotan Lovers & Friends Playa de las Americas - Adults Only (+18) is located in the center of Playa de las Americas in Tenerife, a 5-minute walk from the beach. 1) Excellent location in the very center - all significant attractions are within walking distance, there is a supermarket, large parking lot, excursions, parapharmacy nearby, all beaches are 10-15 minutes away, the Golden Mile is 10 minutes away 2) Own underground parking is a wonderful, incredibly convenient invention. There is a parking lot for about 20 spaces, we always found a space no matter what time we arrived. Entry to the parking lot requires a guest card, there is an elevator to the parking lot 3) Excellent breakfasts and dinners - it’s definitely worth taking dinner too. In terms of quality, they are practically not inferior to restaurants; in terms of assortment, they put them to shame. One caveat - there is free food at dinner, but paid drinks(even a glass of water), and their cost is slightly higher than in a restaurant: some items are quite a bit, and some are one and a half to two times. Payment for drinks on departure. 4) Hotel features: rooftop bar, outdoor jacuzzi, nudist area, daily entertainment. All this is at a decent level and deserves attention. I definitely recommend the hotel. The main contingent (about 70 percent) are grandparents.
