Video: visa-free Morocco for Russians as a replacement for Turkey

Russians in 2017 do not need a visa to visit the Kingdom of Morocco for up to 90 days if the trip is of a tourist nature. For a longer stay in the country, a residence permit is issued. The local branch of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Morocco is in charge of his extradition.

Preferential entry applies only to Russians citizens of other CIS countries, in particular Ukraine, must apply for a visa to Morocco. Also, an entry document is required for Russians traveling with service passports.

Visa-free entry

The kingdom has a very loyal attitude towards tourists. This is reflected both in the collection of documents and in the cost of legal residence in the country. None of this is simply needed.

Only two conditions need to be met:

  • The trip will last no more than 3 months;
  • The journey will be of a tourist nature.

Upon entering the country, a foreigner presents:

  1. Passport with a "reserve" of 6 months;
  2. Migration card.

Russians do not pay visa fees. A mark of entry is put in the passport and each foreigner is assigned a personal number, which is also indicated in the document.

In some cases, border guards are interested in the material well-being of the tourist and whether he has return tickets. But such situations occur extremely rarely and only if the traveler's appearance raises doubts among the border guard officer.

Migration card

The only formality that Russians will have to face when entering the country is filling out a migration card. The form is issued on the plane and the flight attendants will kindly help in filling it out. If for some reason this cannot be done, you can continue filling out the card at the airport.

The card is filled in for each participant in the trip, with the exception of children entered in the parents' passport. All information is entered in block letters in English in blue or black ink. It is also allowed to fill in the card in Arabic or French. Blots and errors are excluded.

A sample of filling can be found in the photo above. As you can see, the card consists of two parts: the right one is taken by the border guard, the left one remains with the tourist and it is desirable to keep it until leaving the country.

Traveling with children

Children over 14 years old leave the Russian Federation with their own foreign passports. Minors under the age of 14 can be entered in the documents of their parents, provided that they have old passports. The biometric data about the child is not entered.

Additional documents are not required for traveling with a minor, but this applies to a situation where the child is accompanied by both parents. If a minor travels with only one parent, then the child who remains in Russia must agree to leave the Russian Federation. This document is drawn up by a notary. If it is not possible to obtain consent to leave, then you must provide confirmation of this fact. For example, a death certificate, a court decision on deprivation of parental rights, a certificate from law enforcement agencies that the location of the second parent is unknown.

Extension of the period of stay

When entering the country without a visa, the period of residence is not extended Those wishing to stay in Morocco can apply for a residence permit (residence permit), but there are some nuances in obtaining it.

The easiest way to continue your holiday in the country is to leave Morocco and re-enter. In this case, a stamp will appear in the passport with the date from which the new 90 days of visa-free residence in the Kingdom will begin.

Thus, you can extend the period of your residence in Morocco indefinitely, there is no limit on the number of days that can be spent in the country.
