How to move from Russia to Belarus: grounds and necessary documents

Having carefully studied the rapidly growing standard of living in Belarus, the stability of the country's economy and the prospects that open up to the citizens of Russia, my friends and I decided to move here for permanent residence. None of us have relatives living in Belarus, so we had to look for other ways to obtain the right to live and work in the republic.

I must say right away that you do not need an entry visa, but you can stay in the country on such grounds as work, kinship with citizens, investments, refugee and standard marriage. You can buy real estate or conclude a special agreement with a landlord - this is the option that suits us. In this article, I want to describe all possible options for moving, thereby making it easier for everyone to find information to move to Belarus.

Actual relations between the countries are built on the basis of an agreement signed in 1998. It provides citizens of the country and emigrants with equal rights in the process of choosing a permanent residence address and moving around the area.

According to this agreement, the free residence of citizens of the Russian Federation on the Belarusian territory is provided, but in compliance with certain rules.

Procedure

Having made a decision to move to Belarus for permanent residence, applicants are obliged to take into account the established procedure and the time for making a decision. It provides for the legitimacy of the official status of the presence of an emigrant on the territory of the Republic of Belarus.

The sequence of moving to the country is as follows:

  1. Free arrival in the country. According to the concluded agreement, visa and other entry permits are not required.
  2. Registration in the Republic of Belarus.
  3. Registration of an official residence permit.
  4. Obtaining and affixing permanent registration in documents.
  5. Obtaining and acquiring citizenship.

The relative ease of obtaining official residency for those who have moved from the Russian Federation allows applicants to issue the necessary paperwork as quickly as possible. Various bureaucratic delays are minimized. Each step is worth exploring in more detail.

Relocation

The Russians, according to the law, have every right to be on the territory of the Republic of Belarus without any obstacles. This right is granted for exactly 30 days. Subsequent stays require a special permit.

registration

At the end of 30 days of presence in the republic, a citizen of the Russian Federation must apply for a special temporary permit for legal stay.

Along with proof of residence, the applicant must collect and prepare the following documents:

  • Application for registration at the address of residence.
  • Official ID.
  • A rental agreement or a document confirming the ownership of the purchased apartment or house.
  • Receipt for payment of state duty.

The processing time will take up to two weeks. From the date of issue, the applicant will be able to stay in the country for another 60 days. This certificate can be extended many times, but you cannot get a job using it.

Obtaining a residence permit

After the expiration of the validity period of the temporary permit to stay in the Republic of Belarus, the person who wishes will be given the opportunity to obtain an official document of the residence permit. To do this, you need to fill out a special application in the form of 1-ig lbg.

The request is filled in strictly in block capital letters. Based on the received document, you can stay in the country for one year. It is allowed to get a job.

Registration of permanent residence

The applicant must apply for a permanent residence in the Republic of Belarus two weeks before the end of the residence permit. To qualify for permanent residence, you must have one of the following grounds:

  1. Availability of an official place of work. The country's authorities are interested in the influx of highly qualified specialists.
  2. Getting an education in one of the universities. In this case, the student must provide an agreement with one of the country's universities. This will be the basis for a residence permit with the subsequent prospect of obtaining permanent residence.
  3. Family reunification. If the applicant for citizenship has close relatives, if they are citizens of the Republic of Belarus, this will be a direct basis for moving legally. You will need to provide papers confirming blood ties. As a supplement, it is necessary to obtain from relatives official consent to receive the applicant in the form of a written invitation.
  4. Marriage with a citizen of the republic is also a fairly quick option for obtaining permanent residence.
  5. Purchase of a house or apartment. It gives the right to all newcomers to apply for permanent residence after 7 years of residence in the Republic of Belarus.
  6. Refuge. Allows you to obtain residency after 7 years of official residence in this status.
  7. Investment. This is the best opportunity to obtain a residence permit for business representatives who have invested at least 150 thousand euros in the development of the state.

If one of the above conditions is met, permanent residence is issued for two years. At the end of this period, the right can be extended for another 5 years.

Required documents

Only after that, the applicant can apply for the citizenship of Belarus or simply extend the permanent residence for another 5 years. To become a resident of the country, you will need to provide the following documents:

  • An autobiography with a detailed description of important points throughout life that could affect the desire to obtain permanent residence in the country.
  • A personally completed application by the applicant.
  • Certificate regarding the absence of arrests.
  • 4 high-quality photos in sizes 3 by 4 cm.
  • Receipt for payment of the due duty. At the moment it is 24 euros.
  • Military ID - if available.
  • Certificate of marital status and birth of children.

The applicant must have a residence permit on the territory of the republic.

You will need to submit documents to the Department of Migration Affairs. The applicant must personally apply, who, in the process of submitting documents, undergoes fingerprinting. The submitted application is considered within two months from the date of the request and the necessary documents.

Registration of citizenship

Citizenship can be obtained after 7 years of residence in the republic in the official status of permanent residence. The package of papers and certificates in this case is similar to what is surrendered when applying for permanent residence. A request for citizenship and a correctly completed application form are submitted at the place of registration.

Official employment

The opportunity to find an official job in the territory of the Republic of Belarus appears only after registration and obtaining a residence permit. There is a rather difficult situation with employment in the country, but specialists of valuable, rare professions are quite in demand. A special priority is given to people working in agriculture and people who have an official employment contract.

Pension social security

In the republic, there has been an increased attention of the authorities to effective social protection of the population. This factor is directly reflected in the standard pension plan.

At the moment, the country provides for several pension programs and types of pension accruals:

  • Disability.
  • By age category.
  • Loss of the breadwinner.
  • Labor payments.

Now, more than 2.5 million people are in retirement support in the country. All citizens, without exception, are reliably protected by the state. This is one of the priority directions of the internal policy of the state.

Difficulties in obtaining permanent residence

In recent years, the number of Russian citizens wishing to move to Belarus for permanent residence has been growing. Attracted by the rapidly rising standard of living and social security. Arrival in the Republic of Belarus for several thousand people annually creates certain difficulties with employment. A similar problem is solved by providing training courses for the most demanded specializations and the development of passive sources of income.

Conclusion

Belarus is developing quite actively, and in a wide variety of areas. Emigrants receive rights similar to those of the indigenous citizens of the republic. All this makes the country attractive as a move, and so far the migration policy towards Russians is quite loyal.
