How to get Schengen for 3 years?

There is such a thing as the Schengen area. This is a world-famous, special territory in Europe, which includes 26 countries in which there is a simplified passport and visa control at the border of the participating states, simplified economic, political and market relations. Many people strive to get Schengen, namely those who travel to Europe with a desire to visit several countries in one trip, for business or tourism purposes. Schengen for 3 years is a common type of multiple-entry visa that allows you to freely enter the European territory and travel within the Schengen countries for 3 years, without visiting the Consulate, during the entire period of validity within the framework of the rules of stay in the Schengen area.

In order to become the happy owner of a multivisa for several years and, possibly, enjoy a long summer abroad, the applicant must meet certain requirements. These conditions are virtually the same in all Schengen countries and compliance with any of them is mandatory.

For real estate owners

If the applicant is the owner of a house or apartment abroad, then he can become a Schengen holder for a period of 6 months or 1 year. In most countries, it is allowed to reside on the territory of their real estate for 90 days, no more than 1 time per six months. In some countries, a multiple-entry visa is given for a longer period, up to 5 years.

For constant travel

  • First you need to get a Schengen for a short time.
  • After a while, you need to get another such visa, so that at least 2 successful trips are noted in the passport.
  • For the third time, it is possible to obtain a Schengen visa for six months or a multivisa for 1 year.
  • With the fourth trip, subject to the maximum duration of stay in the country, you can apply for the status of "Regular traveler" and count on a visa for a period of 3 to 5 years.

By invitation

In some countries, for example, such as Germany, there is a procedure for obtaining a long-term Schengen by invitation. The inviting party can be both individuals (relatives, friends) and legal entities (companies). Moreover, invitations from the company will be a priority for issuing a visa, due to the fact that the interests of the company represent the interests of the country's economy.

Other conditions

  • Politicians and public representatives who travel regularly to.
  • Scientists, journalists, athletes and artists who regularly visit Schengen countries.
  • Workers whose activities are related to the constant crossing of the borders of the Schengen countries.

How to get Schengen for 3 years

There are several types of Schengen visas that determine the purpose of stay in the country:

  • "A" - is intended for those who go abroad in transit through the Schengen countries. You can use it only on the territory of the airport, and it is strictly forbidden to go into the city.
  • "B" - for land transit. You can stay on it in the country for no more than 5 days.
  • "C" is the most common type of short-stay Schengen visa issued. It gives the right to stay in the country for no more than 3 consecutive months and is suitable for business and tourism purposes. Also, it can be used for transit trips, provided that it has a short period of validity.
  • "D" is a type of Schengen visa designed for those who are planning a long-term trip abroad. It is also called national, because the decision on extradition is made on the basis of the provisions of the legislation of the country where the trip is organized.

In order to apply for the Schengen area on your own, you need to personally collect the complete package of documents required to obtain a visa and take it to the Consulate or the Embassy of the country to which you are planning a trip. In the second case, you will need to pay only the consular fee, information on the fixed amount of which is in the public domain. When applying in the country of citizenship, the consular fee is 35 euros... There is an additional fee of about 20 euros for filing at a service center.

Procedure

Assistance in obtaining Schengen for 3 years is also provided by specialized visa centers. They undertake all the work in forming a package of documents and transferring it to the Consulate, informing about various nuances. The cost of this work is added to the consular fee and the total price for a visa becomes higher than for self-registration.

There is a certain procedure for applying for a Schengen visa, the discrepancies in which depend on whether you independently obtain a Schengen visa for 3 years, or with an appeal to visa centers:

  1. Select the country you need a visa to and find out the address of the Embassy of the country where the documents will be submitted.
  2. Decide on the type of Schengen. This choice depends on how long the trip will be carried out, as well as for what purposes.
  3. Collect the required package of documents. The list of documents can be found on the official website of the Consulate of the country or by contacting the visa center.
  4. Submit the collected documents directly to the country's Consulate or visa center and await a decision on issuing a visa, or on an invitation for an interview (depending on the country).
  5. Get a visa.

If the documents are transferred to the visa center, then the employee of the organization first checks the availability of all documents in the set, and then takes a fee for consular and service fees.

At the official visa center, a mandatory procedure for submitting biometric data is immediately carried out. Then he transfers the package of documents to the Consulate and, with a positive decision, takes them from there. Further, the visa center gives the applicant a ready-made passport with a stamped visa.

If the applicant independently deals with the issues of obtaining a visa, then after the transfer of the package of documents personally to the Consulate, fingerprints are also submitted, only the consular fee is paid.

After the transfer of documents and payment of the consular fee, the employee of the Consulate announces the date of the meeting for the transfer of the passport with a visa. However, in most cases, a receipt is issued with a number indicated on it to track the status of documents online.

This period is usually fixed and ranges from 2 days to 2 weeks, but in some cases it can increase to 1 month. Therefore, in order to avoid a stressful situation due to an unplanned trip cancellation, it is necessary to start getting Schengen in advance.

They may refuse to obtain a Schengen visa for 3 years. The most common reasons for refusal are:

  • Indication of false information in the questionnaire.
  • The applicant's conviction.
  • Lack of the required amount of funds in the bank account.
  • Applicant's suspicious behavior during the interview.
