To travel outside of Russia, most countries require the traveler to have a generally accepted international identity card. It is issued according to a strict procedure in compliance with accepted rules. To do this, you can apply for a passport through the State Services Internet, or by personally visiting the FMS office.

List of required documents

Issuing an international identity card is available not only for adult citizens of the Russian Federation, but also for children. The difference lies in the list of documents and the amount of the state fee. Registration rules are described in Law No. 114-FZ. It is also the basis for employees of the Federal Migration Service, and the effect of some of its points may cause a refusal.

for the military, except for military service - permission from the commander of the unit.

How to fill out an application

The questionnaire is designed to collect all data about the applicant for further processing by the FMS. Data from it is sent to the relevant authorities: MFD, military registration and enlistment office, service of judicial executors. Based on the results of the check, it will be found out whether a particular citizen of the Russian Federation can obtain a passport.

The form can be completed by hand or electronically, online. The latter option is acceptable when using the State Services service. Depending on the type of document, a strict form or a biometric passport is selected. the questionnaire is available only in Word format;

How to fill out a new form:

in case of difference between the address of actual residence and registration, both are indicated in the corresponding fields;
write a mobile or landline phone number to receive information about a call to receive ready-made documents or take photographs;
if the applicant was not involved in the State secret - a cross is put in the corresponding column;
if you have an old passport, indicate its data;
the maximum statute of limitations for indicating places of work on the second side is 10 years;
with a break of more than 3 months, the dates are indicated and “Did not work” is written.

All collected documents are transferred for data processing to a specific department of the FMS. Its location and address can be found on the official website. At the same time, it is necessary to take into account the convenience of a personal visit, which will have to be done repeatedly. Apply for a passport via the Internet

The official portal of the State Service was developed to improve the quality of public services, as well as save time. With its help, you can receive extracts, certificates, draw up documents, including an identity card for traveling outside the Russian Federation.

In fact, you still have to carry the questionnaire and the package attached to it to the FMS department. But all information will be pre-checked, which excludes refusal during the visit.

Many travel companies offer services for obtaining a passport. In most cases, they work through intermediaries who specialize in compiling documentation intended for government agencies, embassies, etc. The advantage of this method is the guarantee that errors will be avoided. It is also necessary to conclude a formal contract for the provision of services. It should spell out the responsibilities of the parties, including compensation for refusal due to the fault of the company.

Features of obtaining a passport through intermediaries:

work, previous or current, related to the law on state secrets - 3 months;
