Ways of immigration

Emigration from Russia to Denmark is possible in several ways:

  • marriage and family reunification (with spouses or children under 18);
  • refugee;
  • opening a business;

After you receive a temporary residence permit on one of these grounds and live in the country for more than three years, you can obtain permanent residence.

Obtaining permanent residence

In addition to living in the country for three years, applicants for permanent residence must have a permanent source of income, housing, have no problems with the law and tax debts. Already at this stage, you need to pass an exam in Danish. After seven years in the status of a permanent resident, there is an opportunity to become a citizen of Denmark. But at the same time, you will have to renounce your former citizenship.

Marriage to a Dane

In Denmark, they enter into family relations at a fairly mature age, and there is a condition for potential immigrants - the newlyweds should not be younger than 24 years old. Marriage must be entered into in order to create a family, this is monitored by the migration services.

In addition to the sincerity of relations, there are other - purely practical - requirements.

The spouse from the Danish side must have citizenship or a residence permit for at least three years. He must confirm his financial viability and have a sufficiently large living space.

The foreign spouse, in turn, must be tested for knowledge of the language and have an education.

Refugee

Every year, the Kingdom receives five hundred refugees. This figure is constant and has not changed for many years. Even if an applicant for refugee status does not have enough grounds, he can be left in the country for humanitarian reasons: this applies to families with small children and the elderly.

A permanent residence permit for people with refugee status is issued after five years of residence.

For enterprising

The basis for obtaining a residence permit in Denmark may be the ownership or co-ownership of an enterprise, while at least fifty thousand euros must be invested in the economy. Business must work, generate income, jobs must be created for the Danes.

After the company is registered, you need to pass an interview in English or Danish. The Danish temporary residence permit will need to be renewed within three years.

For specialists

Few people know that Denmark has a special immigration program for specialists (Green Card).

There is a whole list of professions for representatives of which the immigration process is simplified. There is a point system, there is a special test with which you can independently assess your chances of successful immigration.

Qualifications, knowledge of languages ​​and ability to adapt are assessed.

Judging by the list, Denmark lacks engineers, specialists in the exact and natural sciences, and doctors. To obtain a residence permit, you need not only to confirm your qualifications, but also financial viability, as well as the absence of problems with the law. Program participants receive a residence permit for themselves and their families, with the right to seek work.

In the first year of residence, program participants must earn at least DKK 50,000 in order to be eligible to renew their residence permit. According to unofficial data, only a small percentage of immigrants find employment in their specialty, while the majority have to look for any job or return to their homeland.

Particular attention is paid to whether the applicant speaks Danish. Knowledge of other Scandinavian languages ​​is welcome.

Education

Studying at a Danish university can be seen as a good preparation for further employment. And not only in Denmark: diplomas issued in this country are recognized all over the world.

It is relatively easy to become a student - applicants who have reached the age of 18 are enrolled, with knowledge of English not lower than TOEFL 560 and with a high school diploma. For foreigners, training takes place only on a paid basis.
