Budapest manifold Many cities in the world may envy. Travel will be unforgettable. You will want to return here to feel the atmosphere of joy, recharge your energy and get real pleasure.

The Budapest Center is already so seeded with tourists that the Hungarians themselves living in V, part VI and VII regions must be feeling uncomfortable. In good weather, there is no push here: the famous city baths are crowded, in the Jewish quarter it is not anywhere from foreigners. The Village found out where to go.

Bathing Rudas.

It is stupid to come to Budapest and do not decide on a campaign, although many are shy, especially if they are not familiar with the process. After the first visit, its own method of camping is produced in healing waters: you can first just get sick in a water tank +32 degrees, then go to the joinery bath (+40), then go to the steam room, and from there after a short soul jump in +17 and below . As you wish!

The city has a lot of purchase, and on weekends they are clogged. It is known about Kupalna Rudash since 1556, then Buda has been in the power of Turks for 15 years. Rudash Color: Eight green columns keep the dome, under it - an octagonal pool with thermal water from three springs. Here are huge men wrapped in sheets, a couple make a massage on stone sun beds, you can swim in the pool, sit in a jacuzzi overlooking the Danube, but there is a nuance. Since 1936, the bath was opened only for men, and, apparently, as a tribute tradition, still Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday - are men's days. Only on Tuesday, the bath is working for women, and on the weekend it was made and you can come to everyone.

In men's days, here you can walk the naked and look at the bizarre tattoos of the kindest bullers, resting soul and body, in women - to listen to the chatter of the Hungarian girlfriends, neighbors, the elderly ladies, who have every Tuesday to go to the bath. If you do not want to divide in a gender, then come early in the morning at the weekend or at night. On Saturday, the baths are open up to four in the morning.

Borozo and Sorozo.

Own Borozó and Söröző are almost in every village, and in the city these many people who had walked places are scattered everywhere. In Borozó, a penny pour wine into Söröző - beer. Tourists are usually afraid to go here: it is immediately clear that, except in Hungarian, they do not speak here. But the range is so small that you can somehow explain. In the wine they give Hungarian white, red or pink from the beadon. One of these establishments appears in the film Zoltan Fabry "Fifth Print" (1976), it is worth it.

There will be textured molders around you, which sometimes gather here from early morning.

Homemade PikkPack shoes

Designer Sarah Glyash - Graduate of Budapest University of Art and Design named after one of the largest avant-gardeists of the first half of the last century Laslo Mokhoy-Nager. During his studies, the girl plunged into the history of Hungarian shoes and became interested in Bocskor (Boccor) - slippers, which are made of a solid piece of leather. Sarah was born the idea to try to make such shoes today and involve in the process of those who will be worn. She quickly gathered 20 thousand dollars on Kickstarter and launched production. About pikkpack write all fashionable magazines of the city.

For each PikkPack pair there are two pairs of shoelaces and instructions, as these laces sew their shoes. At the PikkPack owner, the process will take about an hour. Soft skin, everything breathes, colors - a huge amount, wearing convenient. To order your own pair, you need to leave a request on the site. Cap and her colleagues will tell how to pick up shoes, or organize delivery (possible to any country).

Butter Brothers.

Little cute establishments in Budapest so much that tourists do not have time to get to them. One of them is a bakery Butter Brothers - is located near the central market. There are excellent coffee, silence, deserted Lonay street, homemade pastries and delicacies to dinner.

LEHEL market

To the market at the Lehel Tér station will have to go to the subway in the native Mytischinsky car. Although this place got a monstrous building of 2002, he himself is quite pleasant: unlike the central market, where there is a permanent rumble, here quietly. Lehel has fewer people, a variety of assortment of local products, a lot of fish and spices. It is not worth walking around the market, the most pleasant part of the XIII district is closer to the Danube.

Walking in the mountains

On weekends on the hills of Buda, you can meet many families with children: in good weather, picnics are walking and arrange here, collectively go on a jog and walking dogs. Here you can walk along the routes of different degrees of complexity (color signs are drawn in the trees, so as not to divert), ride a bike (for those who are not afraid to go to the slide), ride a pioneer railroad or climb to the observation tower on Jànos Hegy on the chair lifting.

You can come to Normafa, overlooking the inner part of Buda, a little on the Danube and the Pest area for Parliament. The name of the mountain gave the Opera Bellini, in 1840, under the old beech there was a spa aria from the Opera "Norma". Here there are several points where you can have a snack and drink coffee. From here it is easy to sit on the Pioneer Railway, where children are working for 10-14 years old, thus learning the railway business, and get to the observation tower, and come down from it. Or exactly the opposite: from Budi on the chair lift to the tower, from her to sit on the Pioneer Railway and go for a walk along Normafa, and from there get to the subway.

From the subway Széll Kálmán Tér should go to the 21st or 21A buses. Or on a gear railway - a route 60 from Városmajor.

Approximately a week ago I wrote a big article about the sights of Budapest, but already putting the last point in it, I felt that I did not tell half of what I wanted to say about this city. Therefore, in some way, this article will be its continuation. Only in this review, I will tell you not about what to see, but what to get to do in the Hungarian capital. Free walks on the ship, the oldest metro in continental Europe, the place of shooting of the Hollywood blockbuster and the story about the drink, which (at least for a while) was able to displace beer from my life. I will tell you about all this further in this article. But before moving towards the direct story about Budapest, I strongly recommend that you read and my previous review (the one that is dedicated to the main attractions of Budapest).

Read? Then begin. This article promises to be very cool.

Idea number 1. Plunge into the atmosphere of the old city.

Yes - this is a banal banality (as texts in the songs of Belarusian pop artists), but I just could not write it. Budapest is, above all, beautiful architecture, streets, bridges, huge palaces over the shores of the Danube. There is no one single right route. At least, with Tanya, with Tanya, during their walks, they just walked, where the eyes look, and there were already some interesting interests there.

For example, I remember this fountain next to the local area of freedom.

Make a step - and the water is broken. If you have long wanted to feel Moses - this is your chance. At least, for me in a 30-degree heat, he was just salvation.

But these guys next to the building of the Hungarian parliament I was sincerely sorry.

Around the poplar fluff of the heat of July - and they are in high boots and full uniforms. Well, at least the guys gave the guys. Now the hometown can sleep calmly.

Okay ... And if there are a lot of beautiful streets, buildings and squares in Budapest. Most of them are focused on the side of Pest, but I also liked Buda in principle. Especially in that area, which is adjacent to the fishing bastion and the Buday fortress. If the fest is often compared with Paris or Vienna, then Buda personally reminded me more by Serbia (a certain mix of Novi Garden and Subotica).

Interestingly, what are your impressions from this place?

Idea number 2. Arrange yourself a free walk through the Danube on the ship.

Today, river walks on the Danube offer many companies. I will not even enumerate them. Here and walks with dinner, and excursions with a guide, and even some kind of wonder-bus that not only goes through the streets, but also swims on the Danube. Here who is what is much - like in the talent show. The main way to unwind the money from tourists, which they lovingly saved all year on dinners.

Want some unusual swim - choose any company you like. For my part, I will now tell you how to ride a boat on the Danube for free. Well ... or almost free.

The thing is that in Budapest there are several ships that perform public transport functions. Ride there, of course, one tourists. But this is another conversation. So, what needs to be done in order to arrange a similar cruise on the Danube.

Step one. We buy in the automatic daily travel to all types of transport Budapest. It costs 1600 forints and operates 24 hours (the exact time of activation can be set when buying).

Step two. We go to the Danube Embankment and choose one of the berths (stops). I sat down at stop SZENT GELL? RT T? R M, but if you wish, you can choose another point. Map of routes is shown below.

Step Third. We are waiting for the right time, sang and swim. I do not know how these ships go at night, but during the day the interval of the movement was half an hour. The beginning of the movement in the area of 8 am, the end - in the area of 8 pm (depending on the specific stop).

During such a mini-cruise, the ship sails a good half of all the attractions of the city. Buday Fortress ...

Bridges over the Danube ...

Hungary Parliament Building ...

Some churches of the embankment ...

In general, you can choose your route and the duration of the walk yourself. But personally, I sailed from the Hill Hellert to Margit Island. Behind this island, the Old Town of Budapest actually ends, so I decided to get out at this point.

As for my experiences from the river walk, then, of course, 10 out of 10. We sat on the nose of the vessel, photographed and enjoyed a pleasant breeze that saved from the July heat.

Some girls peiled Selfie next to us.

Some kind of guy even shot a full-fledged video (about his passive girlfriend).

Some photos drove out and I myself (I don't wonder that day I put my tie!

It seems to be good, but Valentina Gennadyevna from Tver and Alevtina Grigorievna from Omsk still no matter anyway.

Just imagine this picture - one is already posing with might and main, and the other at the same time has not yet understood how the phone is included. Oh everything ... Go further.

Idea number 3. Climb Horle Hellert.

I climbed along this hill while I was waiting for my ship before walking on the Danube. There is a beautiful view and many sites from which you can make a lot of pictures of epic.

I've enjoyed my stay. And more like it more than on a more promoted and popular platform from the fishing bastion, which I wrote about in the previous article. Exciting panoramas open from both points. But on the hill gellert tourists is smaller, so the process of photography does not turn into a fight for survival. Here I calmly photographed and enjoyed views. And there only thought, in what language I drive the Chinese from the frame.

My inner Yanukovych wrinkled and shouted: "Stop"!

My inner Stalin was delayed with a tube and quietly added: "Shot"!

Idea number 4. Find a tiny sculpture by the embankment.

In general, different monuments and sculptures in Budapest a lot. Some of them are majestic and impressive as a monument on the Square of Heroes. Others are very small, such as, for example, a statue of a small princess or this worm of the Danube embankment.

There are many such sculptures there, so, walking in Budapest, be very careful. For example, I found such a tank with a swirling spirit.

Maybe something like that was able to find it too. Leave your photos in the comments.

Idea number 5. Ride on the Budapest subway.

A little more about public transport of the Hungarian capital. I do not remember ... I already told you or not that the metro station Budapest is the oldest in continental Europe? The construction of the first line - M1 - was completed in 1896. And since then, the local metro has been constantly expanding.

Today, the metro station Budapest is the colorful symbiosis of the old and new. Well, compare the view of the historic station "Opera" ...

And more modern Calvin Terry Station.

But more ... Entrance to the "Gellert" station.

I do not know, it is noticeable in the photo or not, but water flows on the walls in the transition (which, as I understand it, is a reference to the mixes of the same name).

Even if you arrived in Budapest for a while, pay attention to the local metro. This is a very interesting thing.

Idea number 6. Visit Ruins Bars and penetrate the nightlife of Budapest

Personally, I usually spent the evening in the yards Rude. It is such a special place, which is several closed courtyards, from all sides of the dishwashed cafes and restaurants. There is a special flavor. I will not even try to convey it with words. You will be in Budapest - go look at yourself.

Yards Rude.

Instead, I will better tell you about one bright chip of the night Budapest - the ruins-bars known to the whole world. Once it was just old abandoned buildings, but in the early 2000s, several local enthusiasts decided to redeem the empty areas and turn them into informal bohemian institutions. Someone dragged the garage furniture here; Someone saw the bath in half, making two designer armchairs from it; Someone even drove the old trabant. So on the site of old "homemakers" (I "M Sorry for this word) The first ruins-bars appeared in Budapest, which later turned into a real phenomenon in the fashionable life of the Hungarian capital.

Personally, I was only in one of the like bars - in the institution called Szimpla Kert. All photos are taken during the day. In the evenings in such bars simply not to push around. The atmosphere is like in Vilnius. But the Bar format itself is still closer to me. The whole area is still busting.

Idea number 7. Try Goulash, Paprikash and Froch.

In the center of Budapest, not far from the bridge of the section and the old market there is a long street of Waci, which from all sides is soaked with all sorts of cafes. The choice here is the most extensive. Therefore, if you want to try something from the Hungarian national cuisine - then you are here.

Also, not far from Wazi Street - at Vamhaz Korut 2. - There is an institution called Pub For Sale.. Some time ago, he was shown in the transfer of "Eagle and Rush" and since then this place has gained special popularity among tourists from Belarus, Ukraine, Russia and other Russian-speaking countries.

Okay ... with food figured out. Now about drinking. In general, Hungary - the stamps is quite good viniche. But I personally remember the Hungarian Froch. This is the usual wine mixed with the usual mineral water. Divide one to one - and drive the clock on the clock. In the heat such a drink is well refreshing. It is easy, and in the fortress comparable with beer. From the moment of returning to Belarus, I switched to this drink. From beer belly grows. I know I know. My press remained only in dreams and on old photos.

Idea number 8. To come to Budapest at the Festival of Cigarette.

This is one of the largest music festivals in Europe, which every year attend hundreds of thousands of tourists from dozens of different countries. As headlines in different years, such popular groups as Radiohead, The Prodigy, Franz Ferdinand, Placebo and even Russian "Leningrad" lit up here.

The festival is held in mid-August on the Danube Island of the exercise. Personally, I, of course, was not on this music forum. But not to write about the siete in the article about Budapest it would still be wrong.

Idea number 9. Hollywood cinema.

Frame from the film "Spy". Studio - 20th Century Fox. Photos from the site - kiniska.com.

If you are at least a little interested in cinema, then, probably, you know that recently Budapest has become one of the most popular sites for American filmmakers. There are many beautiful streets where you can shoot "Europe", low prices for rental Pavilions Plus have all the necessary personnel with good qualifications.

In the film "Inferno" with Tom Hanks in the lead role in Budapest filmed Florence. But in the comedy militant "spy" with Jude Low, the Hungarian capital appeared in the appearance of himself.

Tom Hanks and Filiji Jones in the Budapest Museum of Kiskeli. In the plot is Florence.

Further, the representatives of the film "Martian" film, which filmed Mars in HunGexpo exhibition pavilions, and the center of flight control in a beautiful building called "Kit", standing at the shores of the Danube.

In general, 30 kilometers from Budapest there is a famous film studio "Cord", where you can visit a special excursion, where the entire process of cinematographic clogging is revealed. Everyone who wants to get there, but it is necessary to freeze for this. First, you need to write to the visit in advance. Secondly, the excursion will take place only if 15 people are scored at the desired date (I confused a little with the reservation process). Thirdly, it still needs to be reached, pay for a ticket to 3000 Forints (11 euros) and find a Russian-speaking translator or guide.

See all the details can be on this site - http://kordafilmpark.hu/en/. If someone was there - write in the comments. This is a very interesting topic.

And I will finish on these words. All goodbye. Today ... My watch is over!

In the Middle Ages it was believed that in Europe there are three pearls: Venice - on the water, Florence - on the plain and Buda - on the hills. Buda is one of the three Hungarian settlements, which in 1873, together with Ruff and Pest, formed the city of Budapest.

1. Philosophical Sad.

Mount Hellert is one of the main attractions of Budapest. Tourists from all over the planets seek her top, so that with their own eyes to see the Memorial of St. Gellit, the Statue of Freedom (Szabadság Emlékmű), the Citadel, the famous baths, and also admire the views of the city.

And few who know that, in addition to the above, on Mount Hellert there is another amazing place. This is the so-called philosophical garden. It has 8 bronze sculptures: Abraham, Ehnaton, Jesus, Buddha, Lao Tzu, Mahatma Gandhi, Daruma and Francis Diaz. The first five personify the main world religions. They stand on a round pedestal, in the center of which is a small steel ball. Nearby - the statues of Gandhi, Daruma and St. Frances are people who lived at different times in different places, but reached a high spiritual level.

The author of this philosophical message of humanity is a famous Hungarian sculptor and artist Nandor Wagner. This is one of the most important Master projects, he worked on him the last 15 years of his life.

"Philosophical Garden" is a quiet and cozy place. The figures of great spiritual leaders are pushing on various reflections. But looking at them, everyone thinks about his own.

Address: Gellért-Hegy.

2. House "Gourmet Samosh"

There was a young Savitch (Szavits Mladen). He was very poor, but madly loved sweets and he studied confectionery skill in one of the confectionery Budapest. One day, the Danish confectioner arrived there and gave a master class on making roses from marzipan. The youngsters well learned this lesson. After some time, he met a girl by the name Samosh. They loved each other and got married. And the young man taught to make roses from Marzipan all her family.

So began the history of the confectionery house of Szamos, known to all Hungary. In Budapest, more than 10 institutions where you can buy branded sweets, but the very best of them is located on Vörösmarth's Square.

It is there that there is a legendary house "Gourme Samosh", which is at the same time a cafe, chocolate boutique and school chocolate.

At the entrance guests meets a girl with a tray in her hands, carrying hot chocolate. This is an exact copy of the maid from the picture "Chocolate" of the Swiss artist Jean-Etien Liotar (XVIII century). 800 hours and 70 kg of marzipan took place on the manufacture of the figure.

In the local cafe you can taste more than 40 types of chocolate candies made by hand, as well as treat the favorite dessert of Queen Austro-Hungary Elizabeth - the famous cake "Dobozyze". The recipe for this sweet miracle of the biscuit, chocolate cream and caramel glaze was invented in 1885 by the confectioner named Yozhef Dobolos, since then the cake of the same name is one of the hallmarks of Hungarian cuisine.

But, perhaps, the most interesting thing in the house "Gourme Samosh" is a school to chocolate. Want to know how sweets did many years ago and what technologies are applied now? Or learn how to make chocolate candies with your own hands? Then be sure to visit one of the Szamos master classes.

3. Parapark.

You enter the basement. The door behind you is tightly closed. Trap. Trap. In the hands of the map. Twilight. Cutting silence. And suddenly a bright flash of light. You need to go, because the timer is already ticking ... There is only one opportunity to get free - think!

This is not the plot of American horror - this is a popular Budapest game among young people. The essence is simple: you are closed in a labyrinth with comrades (from 2 to 5 people). You have a map and a collective mind. To get out of there, you need to solve logical tasks, to take care and smelting. It is very similar to a plenty computer game, only the difference is that you are not just driven by the character - you are on the other side of the monitor, you are in the thick of events.

Parapark has an age limit - there may be people older than 14 years old. Nevertheless, this quest is completely safe. There are no task threatening life, you just need to seek artifacts and solve riddles. If you like adventure, then this is a place for you.

Address: Vajdahunyad, 4.
Website: Parapark.hu.
Mode of operation: Thursday-Sunday from 13:30 to 24:00

4. Cafe with cats

Do you love quotes? Oh well, admit - everyone loves the cats. After all, they are so Mi-Mi-cute. However, not everyone has the opportunity to make a cat. Someone is too lazy to care, someone does not allow someone, and someone does not allow housing conditions. If you are one of these "unfortunate", then you are a straight road in Cat Café.

"Cafe with cats" is a new leisure disease for Europe. The essence is as follows: the usual cafe, where you can drink coffee and eat a cake, turns into a feline kennel. As a result, visitors can not only eat, but also play with cats. Isn't Charm?

For the first time, such a cafe appeared in Taiwan already in 1998, but they received special popularity in Japan, after the opening of the "Cafe with Cats" in Osaka in 2004. By the way, in the country of the rising sun, it was the "apartment question" caused the distribution of Cat Café - many Japanese have no opportunity to have pets.

Now the fashion got to Europe. First in London, then in Vienna, and now, finally, in the winter of 2013, Cat Café appeared in Budapest.

Rather, in the capital of Hungary today, there are already two similar institutions. One of them is on Révay Street. In Budapest "Cafe with Cats" you can not smoke, but you can bring your toys for kittens and there is free Wi-Fi. This is one of the rare places where you do not have to bored, even if you came to drink a cup of coffee alone.

It should be noted that the idea of the "cafe with cats" has its own supporters and opponents. The first simply enjoy the opportunity to communicate with tauty-leaf friends, and the second say that this is "mockery" over the brothers by our smaller and solid antisanitary. Would you go to such a cafe?

Address: Révay, 3.

Mode of operation: Daily from 10:00 to 22:00

5. Protective Railway

Budapest transport network is very developed: there is a metro (the oldest in Europe), and trams (the longest in Europe), and buses, and trolley buses and the heaters. But, perhaps, the most dicked public transport of the Hungarian capital is a gentle railway.

The gear railway is a railway with an additional gear wheel and, accordingly, the same rail. The gear rail is laid in the middle, between ordinary. Thanks to the gear wheel and rail, the composition can overcome cooler lifts, so such railways are often built in mountainous areas.

In Budapest, the toothed "piece of iron" was built in 1874, its length is 4.5 km. The route runs from Városmajor, through the Buday mountains to a height of about 400 meters, to the mountains of the section. As you understand, places are extremely picturesque, so in a few minutes of lifting you can fully enjoy the views of Budapest. There is, however, and their disadvantages - the gear mechanism is quite noise.

But still it is an excellent attraction. Moreover, not far from its end station is another amazing "piece of iron" - one of the best in Europe, the famous Budapest Children's Railway.

Address: Városmajor (two stops from tram №59 at Moszkva Tér) - Széchenyi Hill (two minutes walk from Normafa)

6. Sugar shop

Another incredibly sweet place in Budapest is a store with the bright name "Sugar!". If you think that sugar is white "sand" or the molded refined, which we put in tea, are deeply mistaken. Sugar is art.

At least for people with fantasy. After all, it is possible to make a tunnel of Cinderella, a flower pot, the Eiffel Tower and many more bizarre multicolored figures. And all of them can be purchased by Sugar! Such masterpieces even have a pity.

And in the sugar shop you will find a giant number of lollipops, dragee, candies, cupcakes, unusual pastries (for example, in the form of Coca-Cola can), ice cream and other sweets.

From a variety and bright colors, just eyes scatter. According to the owners, the goal of their establishment to make our life is sweeter. In the store Sugar! You will definitely be able to sweeten the gray weekdays. But it is not recommended to go there with women and children - too much temptations, and the prices are not at all sugar.

Address: Paulay EDE, 48
Website: Sugarshop.hu.
Mode of operation: Monday - from 12:00 to 22:00, Tuesday-Sunday - from 10:30 to 22:00

7. Boys from the street Pala

In 1906, the Hungarian writer and playwright Ferenz Molnar wrote one of the best works - a novel for teenagers "boys from the street Pala" ("A Pál Utcai Fiú").

This is a simple story about how boys become men. At that time, the Budapest youth struggled by militarism, and the boys on the street Pala also played the "Army".

The main hero of the novel is "ordinary" Erno Nemek. The smallest, but the most fearless, he shows a personal example that for a man the word "honor" is not an empty sound. At the end of Nemek, as he believed hero, dies.

The monument to boys from the street Pala demonstrates one of the first scenes of the novel. Teenagers on the way from school stop on the wasteland to play balls. But their balls attracted local hooligans. It all started ...

Mosnal Roman deserved respect in the literary environment, was translated into several languages (including Russian) and was shielded. For example, the history of boys from the street Pala is based on the American film of 1934 "No Greater Glory".

Budapest is the capital of Hungary, formed in 1873 by the merger of three vintage cities - Buda, the exit and the foot located along the shores of the Danube. Buda and exercise, spread on the west bank of the river, conquer the atmosphere of vintage streets and abundance of historical monuments. Pest, who took the East Coast of Danube admires the luxurious beauty of architecture and the scope of prospectuses. This is the only metropolitan resort city in Europe, which has medicinal thermal sources. Having gathered to visit this stunning city, it is better to plan your route in advance. Our guide will tell me what to see in Budapest for 5 days on your own, so that the journey imprinted the bright event in the photo and in memory.

The first day route will be the longest and long. It will take about 5-6 hours. Hiking is better to combine with rides on public transport to periodically rest, enjoying the view of the city from the window of the bus or tram. Therefore, buy tickets in advance. The beginning of the independent voyage is the Erzsébet Tér area, the end point is the area of Secheny. Tell that you will see along the way.

Erzhebet Square

Erzhebet Square is one of the most beautiful areas of the center with development of 18-19 centuries that can compete with the palaces. Square will surprise Michael Jackson Memorial and a fountain with a transparent bottom.
