From the neighboring town of Manarola to Riomaggiore there is the so-called Road of Love (Via dell’Amore) - a picturesque path laid in the rocks. Many lovers come here to hang a symbolic lock-amulet.
Despite the fact that there is generally nothing to do in Riomaggiore for a long time, there are no museums and historical monuments (this goodness is abundant in other Italian cities), but it’s definitely worth coming here at least once: there are amazingly beautiful sunsets and sunrises, delicious homemade wine and a small cozy beach that seems to be created for talking about love.
How to get there
Until Riomaggiore there are mountain paths and paths from neighboring villages, which are located in national park Cinque Terre in the province of La Spezia. The easiest way is to take the regional train from Genoa to Rome, which stops in many towns in the Cinque Terra.
5. Ice Canyon in Greenland
Most big Island on Earth is rich in unique ice formations, the largest of which is Ice Canyon, the depth of which reaches 45 meters.
Majestic snow-white blocks the height of a multi-story building frame a clear blue river, along which large shards of ice float leisurely.
If you're lucky, you can see polar bears, polar wolves and reindeer, and in the water there are seals and walruses cooling off. Those who dare to descend into the very heart of the winter kingdom will be rewarded with the view of mesmerizing ice caves, in which the sky is replaced by bizarre “clouds” of dark blue ice.
How to get there
Journey It won't be fast or cheap. First you need to get to Copenhagen, which will cost in the range from 7 to 25 thousand rubles. Already from the Danish capital airline Air Greenland performs regular flights to Kanjerlassuaq and Narsarsuaq. You will need to go by dog sled to the northernmost canyon in the world, which is an amazing adventure in itself.
