At the resort, the ski areas are divided into two distinct regions. This Motolino and Carosello. You can get from one to the other using free ski buses. The total length of all routes is 115 km. There are trails of all three difficulty levels:

The simplest trails go towards Carosello; they have their own names: Passo d'Era Tiola, Costaccia and Monte della Neve Sponda and are equipped with rope tows. On more difficult routes towards Mottolino there are chairlifts.

If you buy a special Alta Valtellina pass, you can ski on the Santa Catarina and Bormio slopes. A free bus runs to them regularly.

33 lifts deliver skiers to the slopes, of which 3 are cable cars, 15 belong to the category of chairlifts, and 14 are drag devices (the skier is lifted using a cable).


There is a ski rental shop near Carosello. There you can rent skis for children and adults, snowboards, and snowshoes.

Resort equipment

In addition to downhill skiing and snowboarding on prepared trails, in Livigno you can also try yourself in freeriding, that is, skiing on the same equipment, but on virgin snow.

A 42 km ski marathon starts in Livigno in December. Any skier over 18 years of age can take part in it. The application must be submitted in advance.

Price: 40-60 euros. The first 12 people receive prizes from the organizers, all the rest are small souvenirs.

Here you can choose one of two routes: first climb above Monte Delpa Neve (2785 m), from the top of which the rather difficult black and red trails begin, and then master the opposite slope and descend to Trepalla. Here the tracks are easier, the long gentle descent back to Livigno is especially interesting.
