We vacationed with two families, with daughters 13 and 14 years old. Rooms 203 and 205. This is the 2nd floor, separate entrances. Air-conditioned, two-room rooms. Two balconies, facing west and east, there is a clothes dryer. Wi-fi is only available on the balcony, which faces the reception. We took a kettle and a deposit of 20 euros, which was returned to us upon check-out. The TV is small, only one ORT channel. We didn't turn it on; there is a USB port for a flash drive. Linen and towels were changed every three days. There is no hairdryer in the room, you can borrow it as a deposit. The disadvantages of the room: a creaky door to the bathroom, a very long run of water in the toilet and noisy, and old creaky mattresses. We only had breakfasts, which start at 9 am; if you come a little later, there may not be any free tables. Delicious homemade yogurt-cottage cheese, scrambled eggs, croutons,sausages, muesli, pastries. In general, a standard set, the only thing was that the tea bags were tasteless, so I took my own. Since our return flight was at 23-30, we checked out our room at 12 o’clock, locked our suitcases in a special room, and went swimming. At the reception we were given the key to room 104 on the 1st floor (a room for these cases), two-room suite, with four beds where you can relax, and a bathroom with towels. They picked us up at 19-45 from the hotel. There are two supermarkets near the hotel, one is “Discount” - I didn’t like it, and the other is named in red letters in Greek. This store has everything, delicious grapes, already cut pineapples, and household goods in the basement. We did not swim in the hotel pool, I know that it is open from 9 to 19 hours, if you only have breakfast included, then you need to order a drink at the bar to use the sun lounger. It smells a lot like bleach in our opinion. Separately about the sea. The sea is magnificent, warm, clean, transparent. For 12 days there were no waves. We sunbathed opposite the fiki-fiki cafe (to the left of the hotel) and opposite the hotel at the first cafe. We came to the beach at 10 am and could find 6 sun loungers nearby. You buy drinks and a sunbed for the whole day. We used the toilet in this cafe. People carry corn on the beach for 2 euros, donuts with chocolate for 1 euro, figs in a glass. The beach has coarse sand and small pebbles at the entrance. The entrance is gentle, three meters and floated. The buoys are 3 meters deep, because... The water is clear, you can see the bottom everywhere, small fish swim. There are no hedgehogs, jellyfish, or algae. I don't want to go out. People swim until 21 o'clock, and only then go to cafes. I would like to mention a few cafes that we liked: Il Fungo - located on main street, Very good prices , very large portions and most importantly very tasty (we took pizza, carborana, chop, salads there) Vlahos and Amos Mediterranean Cuisine and Odysseas - located on the embankment, very tasty seafood. At lunchtime you can have a snack on the beach; along the beach there are various gyros cafes and souvlak cafes. It’s very nice that the cafe brings you a presentation dessert, each with its own. Watermelon, melon, grapes, pastries, ice cream, tiramisu, panna cotta. Each cafe has its own dessert, which is very nice. There are fruit stalls near the shops; we bought melons, grapes, peaches, and especially liked the apricots. The village of Pefkohori is the busiest and largest in Kassandra. Greeks come from Thessaloniki for the weekend. There are even traffic jams on the main street. The impression is that the whole of Europe is vacationing here, this can be seen from the license plates of the cars. There are many Serbs, Bulgarians, Romanians, Germans, and French. There are places to walk, a lot of shops, cafes. In the neighboring village of Khationi, we saw a circus when we drove past. We rented a car: 48 euros Fiat Panda, 53 euros Fiat Punto, the rental is located next to the Shell gas station. This price also includes insurance; please note that the rental office is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and then opens after 6 p.m. A liter of gasoline costs from 1.3-1.60 euros. We visited our “finger” Kassandra. We went towards Paliouri to the lake, the lake is basically a settling basin for boats, no one swims there, it’s dirty and everything is covered in bushes. But the sea there is even cleaner. On the other side of the “finger” - and the sea is different - there are more waves, Sani’s place is beautiful, but all approaches to the beach are closed by hotels with their own barriers, in general you can ride around the villages. We were in Possidi, Skale Furkas. But our beach in Pefkohori is the best! We wanted to visit the Petralona Cave, but it has been closed since May for global reconstruction. If you rent a car, you need to go to Meteora. 350 km one way, there are toll roads. We left at 6 am and returned at 11 pm. We looked and went up to 3 monasteries, entrance to the monastery was 3 euros, we just drove up to the rest for a photo. Lots of room for panoramic photography. The temperature was +36 in the shade, so it was only by 3 pm that we managed to rise. There were six monasteries in total; we visited on Monday; one was closed. See the monastery schedule in advance. We didn’t regret at all that we went on our own, because... with a tour, you will go up to only one monastery, and plus you will spend time taking everyone to hotels + the price tag is 70 euros per person. We traveled in the 6th on a Nissan bus. Big savings of money, time and a lot of things to watch. On the way back from Meteora we stopped in Thessaloniki, went to St. Sophia Cathedral, walked along the pedestrian street and along the embankment. Very lively city, 2nd after Athens. Also on the pier, in Pefkohori, 10 minutes from the hotel, we bought sea cruise. 23 euros per person, and if on a pirate ship 25 euros. Both yachts depart every day at 9-30, it is better to arrive at 9 to reserve good places on deck. There are 60-70 people on the yacht. Drink and lunch included. 1st stop on the 2nd “finger” Sithonia = 1.5 hours. They land on the shore, where there are remains of the fortress, someone inspects the fortress, someone swims. We managed to see everything and swim. The water is cooler than in Pefkohori, apparently due to the depth. 2nd stop Neos Marmaras port (also Sithonia) - here also 1.5 hours - see souvenirs, walk around the town. They don't swim here, because... This is a port, there is no beach. 3rd stop at the Turtle Island - an hour. On one side of the side they lower a ladder into the water, on the other they jump from the side of the yacht. Good to freshen up. Then they drive to Pefkohori at 17:00. We took a cruise to diversify our holiday and see Sithonia. The conclusion of our families is that the sea here is simply amazing. We are very glad that we chose Pefkohori and this hotel.…
