Federal Law FZ-62 "On Citizenship of the Russian Federation" regulates issues related to the acquisition of Russian citizenship. Article 11 states that it is possible to become a citizen of the Russian Federation on the following grounds:

by right of birth,
after a long stay in Russia (naturalization),
as a result of the restoration of the previously emerged citizenship of Russia.

Aliens living continuously in the Russian Federation at least 3 years can restore citizenship. At the same time, continuous accommodation is not mandatory if they refer to one of the categories specified in Article 14 of the Law on Citizenship.

The child under 18 receives citizenship of birth law in the following cases:

Naturalization conditions

servicemen who served under contract in the Russian Federation at least 3 years;
children who have at least one parent citizenship of the Russian Federation;

investors whose share of the contribution to the enterprise is at least 1/10 for 3 years (the general authorized capital should be at least 100 million rubles) paying taxes and fees in accordance with the legislation in the amount of at least 6 million rubles;
persons working at least 3 years by profession included in the list of the order of the Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation;
disabled foreign citizens and stateless persons registered in the Russian Federation as of July 1, 2002;
foreigners who had previously had citizenship of the USSR and registered in the Russian Federation as of July 1, 2002;
veterans of the Warm;
children and incapacitated persons (paragraph 6, Article 14 of the FZ-62);

Procedure for registration of citizenship

Acceptance of applications and consideration of cases related to citizenship is carried out by the State Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Migration issues.
