Pattaya districts on the map

Getting around Pattaya is very easy, especially if you have a detailed map of Pattaya in your hands. The entire city is divided into several districts, most of which face the sea and are the most touristy. There are only four largest areas in Pattaya: Nak Lua (in the north of Pattaya), Central Pattaya, South Pattaya, Pratamnak (the most expensive tourist accommodation here, this area is sometimes called “Russian Pattaya”) and Jomtien in the south. In addition to these areas, Pattaya is adjacent to many villages, which make up a densely populated agglomeration with a total population of more than 500,000 people.

If you look at the map of Pattaya, you can see how the city is structured and it’s really very easy to navigate. Wide streets run parallel to the sea (Pattaya Beach Road, Second Road, Third Road, etc.), these wide streets are connected to each other by the so-called Jays (Soi, which means lane), that’s the whole simple logic of the structure of Pattaya.

Pattaya area Naklua or North Pattaya

The Naklua area is a respectable area in the very north of Pattaya; there are many expensive hotels where Russian tourists with high incomes like to stay. In addition to hotels, there are many condominiums in the Naklua area, some apartments also belong to our compatriots.

Sights of Naklua district:

  • main bus station, buses to Bangkok depart from here;
  • large fish market;
  • small fishing village;
  • the temple of truth is the tallest wooden structure in the world, built without a single nail;
  • several beaches.

Pattaya Central District

The noisiest and most crowded area of the city is Central Pattaya, all the free space of the streets here is occupied by street vendors, massage parlors and numerous hotels and guesthouses.

The main streets of the area, congested with traffic, stretch along the beach of Central Pattaya: Pattaya Beach(Pattaya Beach Rd), Second (Second Road) and Third (Third Road) streets, Central (Pattaya Klang) and South (Pattaya Tai) roads.

Contrary to erroneous opinions that say that the famous Walking Street is located in Central Pattaya - this is not true, Walking Street is located in South Pattaya (this can be seen on the map of Pattaya). But nevertheless (in Central Pattaya) most of the city's large shopping centers are located in this area, the largest of which is called Central Festival.

A pleasant feature of Central Pattaya is its transport accessibility. You can get to/from the Central Pattaya area cheaply by any tuk-tuk, of which there are many, and there are even more routes.

South Pattaya area

The world-famous street of debauchery and entertainment, Volkin Street, is located in this area of Pattaya, however, apart from this street, the South Pattaya area cannot boast of anything else.

There are several important tourist sites in the South Pattaya area that are worth mentioning: South Bus Station, Bali Hai sea pier (from where ferries go to the island of Koh Larn), karting track, Big C hypermarket.

The biggest attraction of the South Pattaya area is Volkin Street, which during the day is no different from the rest of the streets of Pattaya, but after 18:00 the street is closed to vehicle traffic and hundreds of bars, discos, restaurants, massage parlors open on it (some of which specialize in massage for men) and other tourist attractions.

Neon advertising lights spread like water from Woking Street along the alleys, where nightlife is also in full swing, and numerous Go-Go bars and hotels with hourly rate(Short time room) clearly hint at an interesting continuation of the evening.

Pattaya Pratumnak area

The Pratumnak area begins just behind the Bali Hai pier. This isolated area of Pattaya can be safely called the most respectable and most Russian, and the locals call it “Russian Pattaya”. Many of our compatriots live in this quiet and pleasant area, some rent apartments for a long time in condominiums, and others have their own property.

Main tourist attractions

What are the main attractions that a tourist should pay attention to? Let's try to highlight the most significant and interesting ones:

Airports in the country

There are 5 in Thailand largest airports:

  • Suvarnabhumi located east of Bangkok, was built in 2006. The airport building is a rectangular building of 4 floors with branches branching from it through which passengers pass passport control on the way to the plane.

    The structure is so huge that sometimes just moving around the airport can take from half an hour to an hour. There are all the amenities for a comfortable stay for tourists in the airport building: cafes and restaurants, playgrounds, shops and lounges.

  • Phuket International Airport, consisting of two terminals, is the second most important aviation hub for passenger transportation. Numerous cafes and restaurants, duty-free shops are at their service.
  • Don't know what to bring from Thailand for your friends and family? We'll tell you! Great gift ideas here.

  • Krabi Airport also divided into two terminals for domestic and international flights, has only one runway, but quite long - 3000 m. The terminal building itself is not too large, but this does not prevent it from serving up to 700 thousand passengers a year.
  • Pattaya U-Tapao Airport serves mainly domestic air travel, therefore it consists of one terminal with an area of 2600 sq. m. The technical center for servicing ThaiAirways is located here.
  • Samui Airport located almost in the forest, which is why it won the title of the most unusual airport terminal in Asia. It has no premises; the building itself is a large gazebo. The main carrier of passengers at this airport is Bangkok Airlines, which built it in 1989.
  • If you would like to go to unforgettable journey to the islands and experience paradisaic delight from your vacation, a detailed map of Thailand in Russian will help you.

    Any tourist map will help you find hotels, attractions, and generally not get lost in an unfamiliar country. The most convenient thing is that even the cities of Thailand and the streets are written in Russian, so you don’t have to learn Thai to figure out what’s what.

    Geographic map of Thailand

    Using the cards is quite easy. Here is a map of Thailand with islands in Russian. With this card, your tourism around the country will be wonderful and hassle-free. With this map you can find hotels, airports in Thailand, the most famous attractions, excursions, beaches and much more.

    Thailand and islands on the world map, location

    If we look at the entire world map, Thailand (Phrathet Thai) can be found in Southeast Asia in the southwest of the Indochina Peninsula. On the eastern side, the “country of the Thais” is washed by South China Sea, or rather the Gulf of Thailand.

    On the southern side is the border with Malaysia, in the northwest with Myanmar, in the northeast with Laos, and in the east with Cambodia. The state is divided into 5 regions, which in turn are divided into 77 changwat (provinces).

    This is due to the fact that the entire territory of the peninsula has a large extent from north to south (it has a sort of elongated shape), as well as various relief forms, different ethnic population and even different climates.

    Attractions

    If you find yourself in the north of the “country of the Thais” in the city of Chiang Rai, be sure to visit the indescribably beautiful and most unusual temple of Wat Rong Khun. This White Temple fascinates with its unusual architecture, similar to dragon bones.

    When visiting Phang Nga Bay, you can see firsthand famous island Ko Tapu. This interesting, vertical and small limestone island became popular thanks to the film about the adventures of James Bond.

    Also do not forget to visit the ancient cities of the Thais, one of them is the city of Ayutthaya, which is home to many Buddhist temples and complexes. Ancient city Sukhothai and Wat Mahathat.

    In Pattaya, take a look at the wonderful and unique Temple of Truth. If you intend to relax in Bangkok, then you will have the opportunity to look at the 5-ton golden Buddha in the Wat Traimit temple. And also the reclining Buddha in Wat Pho and much more, not to mention the magical azure beaches on the coast of Koh Samui and Phuket.

    Airports in the country

    It is possible to get to the “country of the Thais” using two airports. First international Airport is called Suvarnabhumi, and the second is Don Muang on the island of Phuket. Almost all tourists from all over the world flock to the capital, the main Cultural Center through these airports.

    Climate and weather

    As mentioned above, due to the features geographical location throughout the Thai kingdom, the weather in Thailand is the most varied. Moreover, if there is a rainy season in the country, because of which it is forbidden to swim on the island of Phuket, then in Pattaya the situation is completely in the opposite direction. If there is rain there, it is not long-lasting, with sunny and warm weather remaining.

    Due to the geographical elongation of the “country of the Thais”, the climate in the north is tropical, with big amount precipitation, in the center and south the climate is subequatorial. February and May in some central provinces, this is the period extreme heat(April – May above 35 degrees Celsius).

    Thailand hotels on the map

    All hotels on the Thai peninsula are scattered throughout the area. You can stay in large hotels or rent small bungalows on the coast of the beach. average price drinking water is 10 baht, which at the 2017 exchange rate is approximately 16 rubles. Not counting hotel stays extra rest you will need approximately 35 thousand rubles, depending on what kind of vacation you prefer.

    Popular cities and resorts

    As you know, the entire Kingdom is divided into 77 provinces, each of them has its own unique ethnicity, culture and beautiful tourist cities. Detailed map with the cities of Thailand contains the names of streets and roads in Russian, with it it will be easier for you to navigate the area. In the north and south of the country, Thais are strikingly different from each other. This is also due to the religion that the residents profess. It is interesting that in the south, especially the Malays profess Islam, not Buddhism.

    Bangkok is the cultural center of the Thai country. This is not just a small provincial village, but a huge metropolis, which contains modern skyscrapers, urban flavor and historical temples, as well as other attractions.

    Koh Chang

    Not far from the center, literally 300 km, is the wonderful island of Koh Chang. The beaches of this island are protected national park, so you won’t be able to actively relax here with the help of scooters and boats. But you can spend a quiet relaxing holiday with children on cleanest beaches islands.

    Pattaya

    Pattaya on the map of Thailand is located in the west of the central part of the “country of the Thais”, not far from Bangkok. Pattaya Hotels attract with their comfort and excellent service. Hotels offer excursions in Thailand to local attractions and entertainment programs.

    Phuket

    Phuket joins the list azure beaches and amazing islands. Phuket itself occupies a leading place in area among other islands (576 km2). The beaches themselves are protected by national authorities. Siri Nat Park because of the sea turtles that nest on the beaches.

    The visiting card of the island is Patong Beach (banana forest), Karon, Kamala, Kata Noi, etc.
