1. Flight. I don't recommend flying by charter flight from Irkutsk with Nord-West airline. They sometimes delay flights by 3-5 hours. And if your flight is planned at night, then get ready for the fact that you may have to spend the night on iron chairs in the, to put it mildly, terrible international airport in Irkutsk, without food, and just with a bottle drinking water. At the same time, do not expect that you will be fed and/or provided with a rest room, as provided by law, no, this will not happen. And also get ready for the fact that this airline may direct flight from Irkutsk to Sanya (Hainan) first deliver to Thailand (Phuket), where you will sit at the international airport for about three hours, and only then, somewhere in the evening, you will find yourself in place, having lost a whole day of your paid vacation. Well, if you decide to express your complaints to the crew, get ready to hear an answer like, be glad that you were taken to your vacation spot at all for “such pennies.” If such adventures do not excite you, and you are ready to throw away money for one day of your trip that you paid for, then fly with this airline.
2. Guides. We were accompanied and met by the Pegasus-Touristik company. Before my vacation, I read a lot of reviews about this company, and most of them were negative, especially these reviews concerned the guides of this company. I was somewhat frightened by this and had doubts. But now I can say with accuracy and reliability, do not believe the negative reviews. When we arrived in Sanya, we were met by one of the guides of this company, forgive me, I forgot her name, a very smiling and pretty girl, they took us by bus to the hotel, where another guide, Evgenia, was already waiting, she quickly helped us register and showed me to the room. The next day she gave us a detailed briefing, and she was polite and very patient, after that we saw her every day at the hotel, in the morning she came, sat on the soft sofas in the lobby, and sometimes answered questions from tourists, helped solve problems if these problems existed. I would like to convey my gratitude to her for her work and gratitude to the Pegasus Tourist company. Thank you!
3. Yalong Bay (Yalong Bay - it’s also called that), where our hotel was located, is beautiful! It's clean, beautiful, calm. If you want complete relaxation and a break from the noisy city and the crowd, then you need to go there. For comparison, we were in Dadonghai Bay (dirty and noisy there, but cheap) and in Sanya Bay (more or less decent there), but we have not seen such beauty, such calmness anywhere. If you like active and cheap holiday, then Yalong Bay is not for you.
4. Nature, weather. The Epos Tour company, where we purchased the tours, warned us that there will be monsoons (rains) in Hainan in June. But during our entire vacation there was sweltering heat. and the air temperature warmed up to 35 degrees, the water in the pools was hot, in the sea - cooler, the sand during the day was so hot that it burned your feet and it was impossible to walk on it without flip-flops. The humidity there is almost 100%, you always feel like you’re in a sauna, your clothes are always wet and don’t dry out. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., without an umbrella and sunscreen, you can literally burn under the rays of the scorching sun in 5 minutes. Therefore, we went to sunbathe before 11 and after 16 hours. Even if it's cloudy, you can still get burned very quickly. Therefore, I recommend taking an umbrella and sunscreen with you. We saw rain and thunderstorms there only on the day of our departure.
The nature there is wonderful, the cleanest air, blue sky, palm trees of various types, ever-blooming trees and shrubs, fragrant flowers, mango trees, breadfruit. Outside the hotels, during excursions, we saw huge banana fields, papaya harvest, and rice fields and much more.
5. Marriott Hotel, its territory and service. Equals 5 stars! Walking along Yalong Bay and the hotels located along coastline, we are convinced that the Marriott hotel is the most beautiful. The photographs of the hotel that can be found on websites are real photographs, without deception, this is how it really is. When you enter the hotel lobby, your gaze is immediately drawn to the terrace, which offers a wonderful view of the sea. The garden located around the hotel is very well maintained, gardeners are constantly working. who cut something there, remove it, etc. The hotel has a two-level swimming pool, it is winding, you can swim in it for a very long time, find some secluded place, retire, and enjoy this solitude. No one is there and no one bothers anyone. There is a bar by the pool, they provide free towels, there is a volleyball net, a basketball basket, and they teach diving there. The hotel is located on the 1st coastline. There are a lot of sun loungers on the beach, they are almost always empty, despite the fact that there are a lot of tourists in the hotel. Towels are provided free of charge, you don’t have to hand them in, you can leave them on the sun loungers, and the hotel employees will pick them up later. You can take a badminton, soccer or volleyball ball for free, but you can only buy a frisbee and swimming circles. The sand on the beach is white, you can see small crabs that dig holes there and hide in them, the sea is very warm, the waves are small, you can swim. There was almost always a yellow flag flying. Sometimes they put up a sign warning about the invasion of jellyfish, but we never saw them there, so we swam calmly. At night, swimming is only allowed in the pool. There is also a children's playroom there Children's swimming pool, There is large swimming pool for those who practice swimming. The most interesting thing is that the depth of the pools does not exceed 1.5 meters. Therefore, if someone does not know how to swim, it is easy to learn there. The service is excellent, the attitude of the staff is excellent, respectful. The only thing is that there was only one person who speaks Russian well, he is a student, he came there for only 1 year for internship, his name is Gani, a good guy, so we resolved all issues with him. 6. Number. Our room overlooked the sea and partly the garden, the view was wonderful, there were two chairs and a table on the balcony, we drank tea there, looked at the sea, heard birdsong and the sound of the sea. It cannot be expressed in words, it must be felt. The room was very clean, cleaning was done daily, towels were changed daily, robes and slippers were changed three times a week, and bed linen was changed twice a week. The room has a kettle, safe, refrigerator, TV (there is a Russian channel), table, chest of drawers, wardrobe, hairdryer, umbrella, rubber beach slippers, and soft white cozy slippers. combined bathroom (bath, shower, toilet, sink). There is shampoo, shower gel, razor, nail file - and all this is added or changed as you use it.
7. Nutrition. Excellent. In the morning there is a buffet. I must say that it is very diverse. every day we ate something new. Very tasty pastries, freshly squeezed juices, fresh fruit, friendly service. Breakfast starts at 7 am and ends at 10-30. We paid for the evening meals in advance when booking the tour, so we had the so-called Headboard menu. There are only three restaurants on site: Chinese, Japanese and European. We ate dinner every day in one or the other. We ate too much. The food is very tasty, we also ordered unusual dishes, things we wouldn’t try in Russia, and we really liked them. The restaurants are gorgeous, the decoration is amazing, many of our restaurants have not yet reached this level. If dinner is not paid for in advance, then I advise you to stock up on money for meals within the hotel at the rate of 2,500 rubles per person. But it's worth it, and besides, it's safe. If you want to eat cheaper, but without a guarantee of safety, then on the territory of the Plaza Hotel (4 stars) there are 12 restaurants, in our opinion, of dubious cuisine. We went there twice at lunch to eat, the first time we were fed in dirty dishes. The waiters didn't care about us. The service is terrible. We thought that we were mistaken, maybe something else would be better, and another time we went to the Peking Duck restaurant to eat Peking duck. I have never eaten such disgusting food, and the waitresses, instead of serving us, were watching some movie on TV. I do not recommend visiting this restaurant. Eat on the premises of your hotel if you want to go home healthy.
8. Shops at Yalong Bay.
Everything there is very expensive. For comparison: on a paid Chinese beach souvenirs, clothes, etc. that are sold in hotels cost 10!!! times cheaper. If you want to buy something, it is better to go to Dadonghai Bay and buy there, or pay 53 yuan and go to the park where there is a shell museum, there is also a beach for the Chinese, and there are souvenir shops that cost pennies).
9. Excursions. Recommend: Monkey Island, thermal springs. the rest was not impressive, and I feel sorry for the money we spent on it. I don't recommend visiting sightseeing tour, because you will be taken to a supposedly silk factory (in fact, it is just a store selling silk of unknown quality), then to a tea ceremony and to a snake farm, where they will “sell” you expensive goods, spin you for money, in general. Think before you go there. Zombification is what it takes! I do not recommend Safari Park. There are emaciated, skinny and hungry animals that cause not delight, but regret. It's just terrible!
10. Tourists who stay at the hotel. Mainly Chinese (a lot and not for long), Americans, Germans, French (a little and not for long), Russians (a little and for a long time). Everyone behaves very civilly.
11. Beauty salon at the hotel. This is a heavenly place. We went for a body and facial massage, expensive but worth it. There is no such thing in Russia! I recommend.
12. Gym. Great.

There is quite a decent distance from one building to another; electric cars run for the convenience of guests. There are still construction projects going on in the area, which, however, do not interfere with recreation; you can’t hear any noise from them. Large-scale construction and construction of infrastructure (restaurants, entertainment venues) will significantly raise the level of recreation, but will also make living at the Marriott Hiang Shui Bai Resort, guests are sure. In the meantime, it is surprisingly cheap.

The hotel consists of two towers - the so-called North and South. The number of rooms is impressive, including almost 450 residential premises of various formats to suit every taste and budget. A collection of “deluxe”, “suites”, “superior” and family rooms with high ceilings of up to 4 meters is presented. The views are beautiful - of the green garden or the bay.

When moving in, you must be prepared for a deposit. The premises have luxurious interiors and are equipped with everything you could need on vacation in 2019. In reviews, tourists claim that appearance fully corresponds to the photos and videos posted on the official website of the complex. The designers chose warm sand and brown shades to embody creative ideas; there are many decorative elements made of wood, an abundance of lamps and lighting. During the day, sunlight pours into the rooms through large panoramic windows and doors. Exit to the balcony or terrace. And here a pleasant surprise awaits residents of some room formats - comfortable modern sun loungers, a sofa and a Jacuzzi bathtub under open air. There is also the opportunity to dry clothes - a dryer is installed.

Comfortable beds are complemented by a folding sofa or sofa. The floor is covered ceramic tiles. However, you don’t have to worry about slippers; they are provided, as are bathrobes - all 5-star standards are met.

The bathrooms are impressive in size; there was enough space for a bathtub with hydromassage and a separate shower. There are interesting layouts in which the wall near the bathtub is a huge window opening onto the living room; privacy is created only by blinds. Toiletries are carefully laid out on the dressing tables, including disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste, soap, shampoo, and shower gel.

The technical content is excellent:

Only one Russian channel is broadcast on TV, all the others are Chinese. Among them there is also a children's one, but it is so specific that children cannot sit still for more than five minutes. Travelers advise downloading cartoons onto a flash drive; the TV has a USB output.

The staff also took care of the little things: glasses, champagne and wine glasses, ice buckets, tea pairs, spoons and forks. Very comfortably. In addition, there is even a flashlight and an umbrella.

As for cleaning, assessments in this regard are mixed. At first glance, the maids are trying, everything is clean, but sometimes they forget to replenish supplies of tea, coffee, personal hygiene products, and guests do not have enough towels.

The cuisine is excellent, everything is fresh and tasty. The menu includes vegetables and fruits, a variety of salads. They serve you sliced ​​sausages and cheeses, and there is bacon, which you can ask to be fried. Dishes from Chinese cuisine are also waiting for their turn to be served, for example, noodles with various fillings become an obligatory component of the morning diet. The only thing missing is the scrambled eggs and pancakes familiar to European travelers.

Children enjoy eating fruit yoghurts. They will not refuse lush pastries fresh from the oven, desserts - pastries and cakes.

Dinners are inconvenient because drinks are not served; you can buy them after your meal in the bar on the floor above. By the way, this establishment creates very high-quality cocktails. Near the pool during the day there is a café-bar in an American sieve, offering seafood in addition to drinks.

Staff

The resort organizes a free, comfortable transfer from the airport and back. Newcomers are greeted very warmly, their mood is lifted by sincere, radiant smiles and a welcome cocktail. The staff is generally pleasant, polite, and, most importantly, tries to help in any matter. Vacationers praise the excellent level in English employees, which is a rarity for Chinese resorts. The good news for Russians is that there is always a Russian-speaking guide in place throughout the day.
