What to do when the holidays are at home. What to do on vacation? Family trip to the cinema

Vacations are time that needs to be spent wisely. Sometimes it feels like you still have weeks or months ahead of you. But they are known to fly very fast. You can't waste precious time. We definitely need to come up with something. Let's think together about what we can do during the holidays. So:

What to do on vacation?

The most important thing about any vacation is that it allows you to change the environment and some aspects of our daily life. During the holidays there is a certain freedom, unless, of course, you are going to work. But working during the holidays is also a vacation. Rest from educational activities. It has long been proven that the most good way rest means completely changing your usual life pattern. Therefore, psychologists advise going somewhere on vacation.

The farther you go, the better. We do not mean places where the air temperature is higher than the temperature in your region. It is not at all necessary to go to the sea. You can go to some Big city and devote your time to sightseeing and shopping.

The choice is yours, dear reader. The main thing, remember, you need to rest. You can't help but rest.

The holiday period is a holiday for the child and a headache for the parents. But in fact, with a little imagination, these days will become a joyful time for the whole family.

In order not to be tormented every day by the question of what to do with your child during the holidays, it is better to draw up an action plan. It is ideal to think through your activities for the week ahead. It takes a little time, and a short list is less susceptible to adjustments. You can safely involve your child in the planning, but first, the mother needs to prepare the outline herself so that the chosen activities correspond to financial and time possibilities.

Developmental activities in addition to the school curriculum

So that the child does not lose his knowledge, he needs to constantly reinforce the educational material. This does not mean that a student should sit over textbooks all day long—it is enough to devote an hour a day to studying.

It is better to use non-standard tasks, for example, collections of interesting logic problems and express tests on grammar and foreign languages. You can also look for materials in teaching aids for teachers; for this purpose, it is convenient to use the Internet.

Intelligent ones are perfect Board games. This is an ideal option for family entertainment, especially on a stormy day when other entertainment is not possible.

Reading for pleasure and benefit

Reading certainly broadens your horizons, improves your literacy and increases your vocabulary. If your child loves to read, then the question of what to do with your child during the holidays disappears. The main thing is to constantly update the books. To do this, you can sign up for a children's library or use an e-book with a natural ink effect.

But for those who have negative associations with books, reading together is suitable. To instill an interest in literature in a teenager, you don’t need to give him classic works. The books on which modern films are based will have a much greater effect. It will be interesting for your son or daughter to meet your favorite movie character on the pages of the novel.

Walking in standard and play form

Fresh air is essential for health, so it is very important to organize leisure activities outside the home during the holidays. A trip to the park is a great option:

  • you can take bread and feed the pigeons;
  • collect leaves and flowers for the herbarium;
  • catch butterflies with a net;
  • ride a bike, roller skate, skateboard;
  • make new friends.

What to do with your child summer holidays in a coastal city? Of course go to the beach! Such events will bring pleasure to both children and adults. Water pistols, inflatable rings and mattresses will turn swimming into an attraction.

If you have an active family, you can go hiking. Tents, fishing, an evening fire will remain in the memory of a child or teenager for a long time. Such leisure will bring joy to both boys and girls.

Cultural program for development

During the holidays, it is very important not just to keep your child occupied, but to enrich his inner world. Study the posters of your city - theater productions, film premieres, exhibitions and master classes will help expand the range of your child’s interests.

If you've already been to your local local history museum, arrange a joint excursion around hometown. Interesting places is in everyone locality. To prepare your excursion:

  1. Go to city library or search the Internet for the history of your native land.
  2. Create a route of city attractions for imaginary tourists.
  3. Prepare your guide's speech. Supplement historical materials with stories from your childhood and youth - this will make the story more lively. Plus, nostalgic conversations will bring you closer together.
  4. Invite a group of friends and go on a test tour.

Communication with friends and personal time

Children are not eternal sources of energy; you don’t need to occupy every second with something. Sometimes a child just wants to dream and relax. Give your child the opportunity to be alone with himself. If boredom overcomes him, you will quickly notice it.

Communication with peers plays a huge role in socialization. Invite friends for walks together and to your home. You can invite your closest friends for a sleepover and have a pajama party. Children will be delighted with this entertainment.

Cookies and milk, pillow fights or battles with improvised swords made of long balls with cardboard handles will leave a lot of emotions.

For older girls, have a bachelorette party with fortune telling and forfeits. If you know other parents well, you can join forces and take turns entertaining the children. A good idea is to organize master classes. Let each mother organize a teaching workshop on her favorite handicraft or cooking. And dads will teach boys men's crafts. Take a look at our section, there are a lot of simple lessons that you can take as a basis.

Give the children the opportunity to keep secrets. For adults, children's secrets look funny, but for a child it is very serious.

When you run out of ideas on what to do with your child during the holidays at home, creativity comes to the rescue. Holidays are the perfect time to learn new technology:

  • embroidery;
  • burning;
  • making .

There are a lot of unusual materials on sale now:

  • acrylic paints;
  • self-adhesive colored paper;
  • decorative elements;
  • corrugated and velvet paper;
  • decorated paper for cards.

If creative research is not your thing, you can buy ready-made kits that include everything necessary materials And detailed instructions for the manufacture of products. Their range is amazingly diverse:

  • soap factory;
  • clay frames;
  • bead paintings;
  • toys for ;
  • candles in a glass.

You don’t have to spend money – homemade items made from scrap materials will keep you entertained for half a day. See what you can do from and in our publications.

It is enough to organize the process and direct your imagination in the right direction:

  1. Finding home treasures (combines well with general cleaning, which includes toys).
  2. Coming up with something unusual from everything found.
  3. Making a fruit of fantasy.
  4. Application of a masterpiece.

Old socks can be perfectly transformed into a puppet theater, and a TV box can serve as a stage and backstage. This way you are also guaranteed an evening performance.

Using tape, two disposable bowls of Popsicle sticks are turned into tennis rackets. And from balloon a safe tennis ball will come out that will keep chandeliers and vases intact.

Flour, salt and water are the basis for dough, which will be an excellent alternative to plasticine. Finished products can be dried in the oven and painted with acrylic or gouache paint. But you need to add PVA glue to the gouache, then it will stick better. If this is your first time hearing about this technique, read about it and watch our master classes.

Cooking for the future housewife

Cooking is a fun activity for children of any age. Working with food and kitchen appliances fascinates the child. The process can be turned into a real game. How surprised your family will be if dinner takes place not in the kitchen, but in an impromptu restaurant.

You can prepare interesting decorative elements to create the atmosphere of a restaurant, so you don’t have to think about what to do with your child during the holidays at home. If you feel sorry for expensive dishes for a home party, buy beautiful and bright disposable ones.

To ensure you are pleased with the results of your work, choose simple recipes. Salads, omelettes with many ingredients, simple desserts, etc. are perfect. If a girl is not seriously interested in cooking, the dish must be prepared quickly. Spend more time on decoration and interesting presentation.

It is very important to help your daughter with cooking. If the dish turns out to be tasteless, then instead of joy you can see tears.

Economic affairs for labor education

A child from an early age must understand that he has not only rights, but also responsibilities. Holidays - good time to instill a love of work. The most interesting thing is that the younger the children, the more fun they get from housework.

To begin with, you can assign dusting, tidying up toys, sweeping the floor, or washing small items. But you don’t need to dump all the housework on the younger family member, as this can completely discourage you from helping.

Most household chores can easily be turned into a game:

  1. Sorting seasonal clothes becomes a fashion show. To the music and the flash of the home camera, the daughter tries on all the clothes, and it will be much easier for the mother to determine which things are time to send to far corner, and what to postpone until next year. To make it more interesting for the children, let them try on some of your things. And viewing the resulting photos will take the naughty guy for another couple of hours.
  2. Repairing old books is another field of activity. Such a boring process can be diversified by setting up a hospital for books. Turn gluing the cover and pages into a medical operation. You become a surgeon, and your son becomes an assistant. You can even wear medical masks and gloves. Children of primary school age will be delighted.
  3. It’s very easy to force your daughter or son to clean up. Come up with a symbolic treasure, for example, large puzzles or treats, you can use coins. Hide the pieces of the treasure in the room so that they can only be found with thorough cleaning. Explain the conditions of the game, and cleanliness in the apartment is guaranteed.

Creating a Memories Album

Before the holidays start, invite your son or daughter to collect all the memories in an album. Such an album will preserve memory and become a family heirloom. You can use a ready-made photo album, but it's boring. It is better to take a blank sketchbook with thick paper or a large-format notebook. Alternatively, you can make an album using the technique.

The album will contain family photo chronicles. The child will be able to decorate it with memorable inscriptions, stickers and thematic drawings. Tickets from the theater and amusement park, flowers brought from a walk, flat shells from the beach, interesting paper crafts - these are all components of an album of memories.

It is best to make the album gradually, so that after each interesting event the “editor-in-chief” can add his impressions. This way the masterpiece will be more colorful and lively and will become a good basis for writing an eternal essay on the topic: “How I spent my summer.”

Having made a plan called “What to do with your child during the holidays,” do not forget about the main thing:

  1. Let's have the right to choose.
  2. Don't try to fill every minute with new fun.
  3. Try to distribute the entertainment evenly.

Continuation of the topic and a selection of games for an active and relaxing home holiday.

If you spend time with your children, spend quality time. Don't just be present, but participate in what is happening. If you learn to enjoy it, the holidays will not seem painfully long.

Hello everyone from Artem Bukanov and Sasha Bogdanova.

Today we asked ourselves: in fact, every single person is bored, and this happens more than once or twice in a lifetime. And absolutely everyone at this moment asks the question: what can you do at home when you’re bored?

Therefore, you should resolve this situation and stock up on a hundred ways to relieve boredom. The only people who don’t get bored are the children on vacation, but we, adults, don’t get bored from this.

So let's take a look...

Immediately, looking ahead, I want to point out that some of these methods will be effective, some will be voiced for fun, some will suit everyone, regardless of gender and age, others will suit a certain category of people. But first things first…

Banal remedies for the blues

What can you do when you're bored at home? This question is asked by many people, but, oddly enough, many of them most often remain in a sad state, having done nothing to change their mood.

But this is not our case! Here are options that can be used by everyone and in most common cases:

  • to watch a movie
  • delicious food
  • Internet surfing in search of something interesting
  • get stuck on social media networks (today almost everyone can do this)
  • chat with an interesting person
  • make new acquaintances (you won’t get bored together)
  • admire the window (if you have any suitable view from it)
  • remember loved ones
  • collect your thoughts (there may be unfinished business)
  • make a to-do list (if you have them and you decide to get rid of them)
  • plan necessary purchases
  • admire the stars (preferably at night)
  • admire the sky (this can be done at any time of the day and in any weather)
  • go to sleep (in general, advice to all)
  • make yourself tea/coffee (it’s not a fact that it will relieve boredom, but it will distract you a little and, perhaps, lead to interesting thoughts over a cup of hot drink)
  • read your horoscope
  • listen to music
  • take a bath
  • play computer games (the thing, of course, is interesting and addictive, but not everyone will take it up/it’s not suitable for everyone)
  • sit by the fireplace (this is not heaven, and not everyone has one)
  • cook something tasty and unusual
  • go in for sports (for an amateur)
  • invite friends (which will be discussed later)

Options for the company

I’ll say right away that it is highly advisable to try the following points in a company, because they imply that you invited someone to visit in advance or visited someone yourself.

So, let's go... things to do with friends:

  • Board games
  • fool around (although you can do it alone)
  • take interesting tests (you can also do this alone, but it’s much more fun in company, so you’ll immediately forget about boredom)
  • start an interesting debate (I emphasize: INTERESTING, and not a path to a fight; we still live in a civilized society, right?!)

What should girls do?

In this part, I will probably offer options (although, of course, a girl in my place would offer much more) for girls. What you can do alone or with a friend when you get bored:

  • gossip (unfortunately many girls like this :/)
  • chat on the phone
  • take care of yourself (there are probably things to do for a week, girls, after all 🙂)
  • spin in front of the mirror
  • rummage through the closet

  • get a loved one (preferably your man)
  • run from him
  • be offended that I caught up with you
  • run away again
  • take a selfie and post it on social media. networks (or even more than one)
  • think about why it's boring
  • tell everyone you're bored
  • wait…
  • understand that there are few real friends
  • ...or they don't exist
  • …at your place
  • understand that you have you
  • stop killing yourself
  • think again about what to do
  • no, having children out of boredom is thoughtless

Time to rave!

Now we will not talk about that nonsense when you are sick, but when you already begin to suffer from nonsense from boredom. What kind of crazy thoughts do we end up with:

  • "play schizophrenia"
  • knock on your neighbors’ wall (and wait for them to knock on your head)
  • invent your own universe
  • listen to the clock tick (a la degradation in full swing)
  • set silence

  • make an evil laugh
  • shut your mouth with your hand
  • grin evilly
  • look back
  • laugh ominously again
  • repeat until you get tired of it
  • feel sad again
  • don't forget to conquer the world

For extraordinary natures

In this section I have crammed advice for people who are intelligent, creative, refined, clean-spirited people, and everyone else who has trouble sitting on their butt. Here's what happened:

  • read a book
  • start drawing something
  • play a musical instrument
  • do embroidery
  • modeling
  • dance
  • think about something important to you
  • fantasize (dream)

  • make plans for the future
  • clean the house
  • read the news
  • watch scientific programs
  • tidy up the room
  • clean shoes
  • wash the dishes (in case there is anything)
  • tidy up your clothes
  • think about your life
  • read about other countries
  • get an encyclopedia (they always have something interesting for any age)
  • think about great things
  • reflect on the essence of existence
  • pray (what? And this has a place among believers)
  • start creating something
  • do some handicrafts
  • rehearse something
  • origami
  • start a spring cleaning
  • sing
  • rearrange the room

A treasure trove of long-term prospects

Finally, I would like to name a few things that are aimed at creating long-term activities with further obtaining a certain result.

I won’t say that it will really amuse you, but it will definitely bring considerable benefits. Very suitable for those who are often bored, but at the same time do not mind using their time most productively:

  • include an interesting series (the only one “not particularly useful”, but long-term among these points)
  • look for a new hobby
  • take care of your education
  • have a dream (which will later become a goal)
  • set a goal for yourself (provided that you start moving towards it)
  • take up writing
  • start keeping a diary (not to be confused with writing)
  • think about changing activities (if you feel that you are not doing your job)
  • look for a new source of income (it never hurts)
  • make a piggy bank ()

Well, something like this. Don't blame me if some of the methods were too crazy. However, I would like to know your options in the comments.

And we – Sasha and Artem – say goodbye to you not for long. See you soon!

Whether you have to stay home or can go out, consider redecorating your room, selling unwanted items, or throwing a sleepover. Enjoy the summer weather, go swimming and go cycling in the evenings. You can also do something useful, such as find a part-time job or go to the college you plan to attend.

Steps

Find at-home activities

    • You can bake something, such as muffins, brownies, or homemade bread.
    • Try a new recipe and delight your family with a new dish to serve for dinner one night.
  1. Learn a new sport. Maybe you've always wanted to try a sport like rugby, skeet throwing or croquet, but you've never had the time. Start practicing your skills on your own or gather a group of friends to practice together and master the sport faster.

    • Find out if there is a club or camp in your area that can help you learn to play football, basketball or bowling.
  2. Grow a garden with delicious fruits and vegetables. There are many plants that bloom and bear fruit in the summer, such as various berries, peaches, corn and green peas. Choose a plant you'd like to grow, plant seeds or buy a seedling so you can watch it grow throughout the summer.

    • You can start the seed or plant in your own garden, or you can grow it indoors in a pot - it depends on the type of fruit or vegetable you hope to grow.
  3. Go outdoors with friends or family. Invite your friends and family to go hiking or go on a nature trip. You can sit in the forest, in the park, on the beach or even at your own dacha. Bring a tent, enough sleeping bags, and enough food to provide for everyone while you're out in the wild.

    • If you decide to camp in a public area, make sure you don't need special permission to do so.
    • Check the weather in advance to make sure it won't rain during your hike.
    • You can grab bread and sausages to grill over the fire, a Frisbee to throw with friends, and cards to play in the tent.
    • If it's a hot day outside, find a shady picnic spot under a tree and bring more water or other drinks.

Attend social events

  1. On a very hot day you can go to the museum. Search online for a museum in your area or city that interests you, whether it's an art museum, a science museum, or a history museum. You can go there alone to explore the museum on your own, or invite friends.

    • Find out if the museum has special days when admission is free.
  2. Go to the library to look for interesting books. If you want to spend some time reading but don't have any new books, head to your local library and see what they have. You might want to read an interesting book from your summer list, or find a book on a topic you'd like to learn more about.

    • The library also offers films, CDs and audio books.
    • If you don't already have a library card, ask a librarian to help you get one.
  3. Invite your friends to the ice cream shop for a refreshing drink. On a hot day, enjoying ice cream or cold yogurt is a great way to cool down. Invite a friend to meet you at your local ice cream shop or invite your family to come with you.

  4. Get a group of friends together to go to a concert. Plan to see one of your favorite artists in concert or, if possible, attend a free concert in your area. Summer is a popular season for concerts, so there are many opportunities open to you once you start looking for something.

    • Go online to find out when different acts are coming to your city.
  5. Play games with friends, such as bowling or laser tag. Ask friends or family members to take you to the bowling alley or laser tag arena to play together. This will be especially interesting if a lot of people gather.

    • Enjoy a snack before or after playing with friends or family.

Be productive

  1. Try to get a summer job to improve your resume. There are plenty of summer jobs you can try to get, even if you don't have much work experience. Consider jobs as a promoter, nanny, dog walker, or city landscaping worker to earn a little extra money during the summer.

    • If you live within walking distance of small shops or restaurants fast food, find out if they hire temporary workers for the summer.
    • You can also try to get an internship if you want to gain more experience related to a specific profession.
