In addition to choosing a country, a region... it was necessary to choose a hotel that would shelter us for 10 days of our stay.

The requirements for the hotel were minimal: convenient location, good food.

Everything else: a presentable appearance, marble staircases with railings inlaid with SWAROVSKI crystals or semi-precious stones, crystal chandeliers overhead, oil paintings, and we don’t even need animation.

We don’t really need a pool - we came to the sea!

We chose 4R Salou Park Resort II is a 3 star hotel.

It is logical to assume that since our Salou Park Resort II, that is, also Salou Park Resort I.

Hotel 4R Salou Park Resort I is a 4 star hotel. The hotel is newer and has sea view(sea view).

By the way, the hotel 4R Salou Park Resort II is the former Playa Margarita, as evidenced by the evacuation plan that hangs on the door in the room. Maybe they bought it, maybe they gave it to them, it doesn’t matter, the main thing is that now it’s “second”)

HOTEL LOCATION

The location of the hotel is very good!

It is located next to Capelans beach, the most picturesque in all of Salou. You just need to cross the road and go down the steps.

If you believe the Internet, then 100-150 meters from the hotel.

If you don’t want to warm your bones on Capelans, you can easily walk to the central beach. In general, we are not far from anywhere, we have walked all over Salou)

If you leave the hotel and go right, you will find yourself on "Yellow" street.

Remember: To the left - to the sea, to the right - Yellow Street! After passing it, you will just reach the famous Boulevard Jaime I.

In Salou, all the hotels are stuck close to each other. Moreover, 4 stars does not mean that it is closer to the sea.

As I already mentioned, the hotel does not have a sea view!

On the one hand, there is a view of (the hotels are located close, so the windows are facing the windows) and swimming pools, and since the hotel is shaped like the letter L, it also has a view of the street.

on the other side, into the courtyard, onto the perpendicular part of our hotel and onto another hotel. You can’t go out on the balcony naked either there or there!

We got a room facing the courtyard. They wanted to change, overlooking the pool, but they explained to us that the room on the other side was small and noisy from the animation. Ha, we came to bed when all the animation had long been snoring in both holes))) In the end, we didn’t go to watch and moved in together in a room for three!

If you choose a pool view and Resort I- get the sun in your room, we We didn’t see the sun at all!

Between these two hotels there are two swimming pools, beautifully illuminated in different colors in the evening. I won’t say anything about the pools, there’s no point in swimming there if the sea is nearby

The hotel was built in 1982, then underwent renovation, everything looks quite worthy for 3 stars.

In the room: TV (2 Russian-speaking channels were found), 3 beds, a chair, one bedside table, a table, a bench, a wardrobe with hangers, and a safe in it. Sockets (in sufficient quantity)

There are tiles everywhere on the floor. It was unusual at first.

There is a hairdryer in the bathroom (2 modes), it cannot be moved to another room.

The water pressure is strong, the water is hot. Everything works fine.

The key to the room is plastic and is given to everyone. If you hold this key near your tablet/phone, it may become demagnetized and you will not be able to enter your room. The problem was quickly resolved at the reception. This happened to us twice.

Our room was on the second floor and we walked, the hotel has an elevator.

CLEANING

Cleaning the room, changing towels, adding shampoo, gel, soap, toilet paper - Every day!

I didn’t test it with a white handkerchief, but the cleaning was excellent.

Whether the bed linen was changed or not - honestly, I don’t know. It happened that in the middle of our vacation, our beds were neatly made, not like we were))) We thought that they had changed them. The next day the same thing again. And then I thought that probably different aunts clean and each has their own approach to cleaning. In general, I don’t know, it doesn’t matter to me whether they changed my bed in 10 days or not. I don't change my house that often.

NUTRITION

We had breakfast and dinner buffet style. You take what you want and as much as you want.

Tasty, satisfying, enough of everything, but at the end of the vacation, you get tired of the monotony, or better yet, I’ll say - we got greedy)

I'll list what I remember

For breakfast: boiled eggs, omelet, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, sausages, cheese, milk porridge of the same type and very sweet. I ate it, I liked it, it was a bit sweet for my husband. Fruits, yoghurts. Muesli and other crunchy balls. buns, croissants of three types. You could toast yourself. Tea, coffee, juices - just a few types, come choose and drink as much as you want.

For dinner:

Several types of fish, several types of meat, pizza, two types of soups, pasta, French fries mostly, salads. Separately tomatoes, torn lettuce - I made myself something like Greek. I mixed everything separately and poured oil on it. By the way, there is also oil, balsamic vinegar, sauces, and some gravies. Olives, olives. Paella was once.

Maybe on Saturdays they had an amazing dinner, we only found one. Seafood, mmmm!

Desserts/cakes, ice cream. Fruits: apples, pears, oranges, nectarines, watermelons, melons.

All drinks at dinner are extra charge! ALL.

Tasty, satisfying. But I controlled myself and tried to eat right.

Price: flight, transfer, hotel accommodation with half board - it cost us 74,000 rubles for two for 10 days! I think it's affordable and affordable!

The room was cleaned very poorly, we wore shoes in the room because the floor was sticky and dirty, in the shower the maid apparently simply moved garbage from one place to another with a damp cloth, very often we came across old, stained towels. Hotel guests smoke everywhere, on the balcony, on the terrace near the pool. The waiters we came across speak neither Russian nor English, it is difficult to find a common language. There are no umbrellas on the terrace near the pools (you can “fry” your sides well). The food seems to be a lot of everything, but somehow very rustic (this is in our opinion, there is no arguing about tastes). The stuffiness in the elevator is terrible, especially when 6 people come in. One big plus clean sea and the beach.

We have been to Spain more than once, always in different places. After visiting the Salou Park I hotel, we decided that we would come back here again. The hotel is worth a good four, the staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, the maids did their best. The restaurant employees are worthy of all praise, the food was quite consistent with the status. We took full board, but lunch was unnecessary. We didn’t have time to get hungry, and we traveled a lot. We dived in the pools for three days, thoroughly enjoying the child. The hotel is conveniently located. A marvelous staircase of 111 steps leads to the beach - free fitness! :) The beach is clean and uncrowded, located in a small bay, thereby protected from the wind and strong waves. Nearby are offices and a Bus Plana stop with Russian-speaking employees. It’s easy and simple to get to Barcelona - how can you not see the beauty! You can’t help but go to Taragona, it’s interesting! To Reus - the birthplace of Antoni Gaudi. My head is spinning from beauty! (We went twice, one day was not enough). We walked around Salou, nice resort town. From the hotel there is a walking path along the sea to the center, leading to the fountain and Palm Alley. And of course, Port Aventura!!! Breakfast was monotonous and there was no champagne, as stated in the hotel description. The beach and sea are very clean, the embankment is located nearby. They gave us ice cream for dinner. The room as a whole is new. Watch your belongings CAREFULLY, because... there are a lot of thieves not only on the street, but also in the hotel. It was our first time in Spain. We chose the hotel for a very long time, we settled on the Salou Park Hotel and have never regretted it! The location is great - across the road there is a beach and a tourist bus stop, 10 minutes to the center and all the entertainment. 15 minutes to PortAventura park. The staff is Russian-speaking, they responded promptly to all our requests (there were few of them), the rooms are cozy and clean, towels and bed sheets were changed every day (because I left the maid 2 euros on the bedside table every day). The food was simply wonderful, we had half board, a buffet, a large selection of food and desserts, everything was very tasty, themed dinners 2 times a week. We were there at the beginning of the season, we were very lucky with the weather, with the hotel and everything else too. We recommend it to everyone!

First time in Spain. We vacationed September 4-13, 2013. The hotel itself is a good 3*. The staff speaks Russian. A big plus is the FOOD! We took breakfast and dinner. Special thanks for the desserts. The food was varied: fish, beef, pork, there were shrimp, mussels. For breakfast: 2 cereals, yoghurts, 3 types of breakfast cereals. cold cuts, pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, omelet (something else but I didn’t take it), fruit. For dinner there was too much to list, there was a children's menu (but not very varied, although tasty), dietary dishes, desserts (cakes, pies, puddings, jellies...) ice cream. Drinks are paid. The big minus for dinner is that there is no (even for a fee) tea and coffee (although they do provide cakes). Dry food is not very pleasant...Paid wine, beer (2.5 euros 0.33 - in the store 0.5 euros) Cleaning every day for 3 (without much zeal). Towels were changed every day. Hairdryer in the room. Conder was not used (there was no need). The room's windows looked out onto Port Aventura and the city. We took the 6th floor, the view was beautiful (we didn’t regret it). The elevator worked (2 pieces). Windows with sea views are more expensive. Renovation in the room is also 3*. Everything worked, but it was not very new. TV - plasma (1 Russian channel ORT). The sea is nearby, down 100 steps. We didn't care. The beach was cleaned every day. The sea is clean. Sun beds and umbrellas are available for a fee. We bought straw mats for 3-4 euros near the hotel. Umbrellas are also not expensive, but we don't need them. We didn’t even go to the animation, we just didn’t have time (excursions, walks around the city...) MINUSES unfriendly staff at the reception. It seems that the tourists stressed them out a lot or owed them something. No WI-Fi at all. Consider it to be non-existent. It only works at the reception desk, and even then not always. Pleasant hotel for relaxation. The food pleases with its variety, although at the end of the holiday there was a large flow of tourists (I was on holiday in May) and the food became less varied in variety, no one cooked in front of you anymore. I wasn’t in the pool, I can’t tell you anything. The sea in May is still cold, it is really close, only 100m is 111 steps to the sea)))) The location of the hotel is good, the place is quiet, the city center is a 10-minute walk, Barcelona is not far from the city (1.5 hours drive), Port Aventura park (about 20 min drive). In general, I liked the holiday, although the hotel and the city are more for families or older people. If you are there, you will be surprised how many elderly people and people in wheelchairs can be seen in the city; all buildings are equipped for them. Entertainment Mostly staged shows; mini-discos for children are held. Quiet, peaceful hotel with a good location.

On sunny days, near the pool, the animation organizes sports activities and various games for teenagers and adults. On rainy days, animation is held in the bar. In the evening, all guests are invited to a show with dancing and performances by artists. Karaoke, comedy shows and an open disco are held periodically. Evening animation, as a rule, lasts until midnight, and after that the entire territory of the complex is immersed in peace and quiet.

On the territory of the hotel there is a small playground for children, which has one slide and 3 swings.

Children can also visit the mini-club, where kids are entertained with games and competitions by cheerful and friendly animators. Every evening there is a mini disco for children.

Beach

150 meters from the hotel there is a beautiful and clean beach, covered with soft and pleasant to the touch sand. To get to it, you need to go down the stairs. The entrance to the sea is convenient. The beach is municipal. Therefore, sun loungers and sun umbrellas are available for a fee. There is a bar on the beach where you can buy soft drinks and water for a relatively low cost. Not far from the recreation area there is a children's playground, toilet and shower.
