Aviation holidays. Aviation Holidays

At the beginning of the second month of the year, congratulations are received by pilots, flight attendants, mechanics and everyone else whose work is related to aircraft, because the Day of Russian Civil Aviation is celebrated. When and how did this holiday appear?

History

In 1923, on February 9, a decree was issued to achieve the growth rate and quality of aircraft construction, which must meet the standards of developed countries. To achieve these goals, a special Civil Aviation Council was organized.

There were no educational institutions that would graduate specialists-pilots and aviation engineers at that time. Therefore, all the tasks set by the leadership of the state fell on the shoulders of military navigators, who urgently began to undergo retraining.

A few years later, in 1932, the new structure got stronger, it got its own flag, shape and a new name. Previously, the Russian air fleet was called Dobrolet, and now it is called Aeroflot. However, at that time they did not think about the Day of Civil Aviation of Russia, how much to celebrate it and how. This happened only in 1979, but it was originally called “Aeroflot Day”. Such a holiday still exists, but it is celebrated at a different time.

Civil aviation in Russia

In 1923, in the USSR, the main airport was, of course, in the capital - in Moscow on Khodynskoe Pole. At that time there was only one route along which the planes carrying people and goods flew: from Moscow to Berlin with stops in Smolensk, Kaunas and Konigsberg. But in June of that year, when the official structure appeared, another regular flight was added from Moscow to Nizhny Novgorod. And from that moment on, new airports begin to appear in the country, new flights are carried out.

Today civil aviation performs the following functions:

  • transportation of passengers and goods to different destinations,
  • delivery of humanitarian aid,
  • participation in search and rescue operations,
  • assistance in medical care for residents of hard-to-reach regions of the country, etc.

Today, Russian airliners can be found anywhere in the world, and this is not perceived as something out of the ordinary. But before, every flight (especially over long distances) was viewed as a feat and was sincerely happy about it. So, in 1927, a real breakthrough occurred at that time - the Moscow-Tokyo flight was made, and after only 2 years Russian pilots visited North America.

Flights did not stop during the Second World War, therefore today, on the Day of Civil Aviation of Russia, when the holiday is celebrated, they do not forget about the real exploits of the pilots who transported humanitarian cargo and transported those who urgently needed medical assistance from besieged Leningrad.

Celebration

February 9 is not an official day off, but despite this, festivities are held throughout the country. How large-scale they will be depends primarily on whether the date is round (50, 70 or 90 years have passed since 1923) and on the city in which the celebrations take place. In anniversary years, parades can be held, where members of the country's government and, of course, the minister of transport are present.

Other holidays, the history of which is very interesting:

On the Day of Civil Aviation of Russia, both pensioners and veterans of the industry accept congratulations. By the way, those who work in the flight crew can retire quite early, having given the profession only 25 years (men) or 20 years (women). Many "retirees" are thus not yet 50 years old. They are relatively young and full of energy, so it is worth having a party for them.

If you need to organize a celebration in a small team of pilots, flight attendants, etc., then you can turn to the following entertainment:

  • navigate a toy plane along a given route using radio control;
  • flight attendants can be offered for a while, holding a tray with one hand, collect the maximum number of glasses of water from the floor;
  • check the pilots' vestibular apparatus by placing a stick (for example, a bat) on the floor, asking them to lean their forehead against it and twirl around it 10 times, and then quickly run to the nearest chair.

Civil Aviation Day in Russia is a holiday when it is appropriate to talk about the pilots' jokes that once really happened. For example, how a British aircraft captain took a seat in the back row of unsuspecting passengers. When everyone sat down in their seats and began to worry that the pilot was gone for a long time, he became indignant and said that in this case he would sit at the helm himself, after which he unfastened the belt, went into the cockpit, closed the door behind him, and the plane began to move. ...

There are many similar stories. And, perhaps, someone will decide not only to tell them, but also to "joke" like that in honor of the holiday. However, it is better not to do this, because among the passengers there may be very impressionable people.

Flag of the Air Force of the USSR. The one in the heart .......

Yesterday, through Odnoklassniki, I received congratulations from my classmate at the military school. He congratulated me on the start of the holiday week. At the same time, it was quite logical to note that if the overwhelming majority of representatives of, so to speak, ordinary professions have only one holiday a year, then military aviators have two of them :-). This week begins with one holiday, with Sunday 12th oh, and the other ends, in Sunday 19th.

I somehow did not attach any importance to this before. Probably because he never lived in Russia since it became a separate independent state. As they say, my homeland is the Soviet Union. And then we, the army, had only one aviation day... The one that was installed by Stalin in 1933. Then it was the day of August 18.

Since Day of the air fleet of the USSR celebrated every third Sunday in August. Moreover, this holiday was more associated with the 18th. There was also the day of Aeroflot (more precisely, the civil air fleet) - the second Sunday in February, but then we did not consider it ours (in general, and rightly so) and many did not even hear about it.

Then Aeroflot Day in 1988 was canceled and combined with the August day of aviation... And three years later, the Soviet Union ceased to exist. Socialism, so plainly and unbuilt, has sunk into oblivion ... Then everything collapsed around, starting with the economy and ending with long-term historical and spiritual traditions.

Unfortunately, Soviet aviation did not escape this fate (and not only military, but also civilian). The losses that she suffered probably cannot be compared even with the losses during the hostilities. Especially in the second half of the 90s and early 2000s.

It was painful and bitter to look at all this. Every even slightly positive action and every, even a small movement forward, was perceived with great hope. And now, it seems, these hopes are beginning to come true.

Our well-deserved, now, just like once in the first years of its existence, Russian aviation, who always had many victories and outstanding achievements, begins to spread her wings again.

On August 12, exactly 100 years ago, the first military aviation unit was officially formed by the tsar's decree. This is how the Russian Air Force was born. And since May 31, 2006, by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation, this day has become an official holiday, Day of the Air Force(has the status of a memorable day). An absolutely correct and logical solution :-).

As you can see, all good things come back :-). Russian aviation is beginning to restore its former power and perfection. I really want to believe that this process will only accelerate and go in the right direction, which means there is and will be something to celebrate. And we will definitely do it :-).

Now, after all, we have two holiday dates: the 12th and the 19th following it (officially approved, by the way, in 1992 by the Supreme Soviet of the Russian Federation). Air Force Day and Russian Air Fleet Day. And I don't even know if it is necessary to divide them. It's all simple to me Aviation Day.

And today, on the eve of these two big holidays, I want to congratulate everyone on the 100th anniversary of our glorious Air Force and on the upcoming Day of the Russian Air Force.

I congratulate everyone who had and has great happiness (just like that!) To touch the mysteries of the fifth ocean, those for whom the sky has become a second home, and its gentle blueness and snow-white light clouds are their favorite flowers in life.

Congratulations to all who are "on you" with powerful, heavy and, sometimes, formidable machines. Thanks to your work on the ground, which is often very difficult and even ungrateful, airplanes rise into the air and there they turn into the lungs of heavenly birds :-).

Happy Holidays to everyone who creates the most sophisticated modern aircraft, builds them at giant factories, who in one way or another ensure the possibility of daily flight operations of Russian aviation.

Happy holidays to all aviators, past, present and future. Although, of course, there are no former aviators, as well as former officers….

Congratulations to everyone who understands, who remembers, who knows ...

- a professional holiday of aviators and workers of the country's aviation infrastructure. This day is celebrated in the Russian Federation annually, on the third Sunday of August, in accordance with the resolution of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Russian Federation of September 28, 1992 "On the establishment of the holiday Day of the Air Fleet of Russia."

Earlier, since 1933, this holiday was celebrated as the Day of the USSR Air Force. It was established by a decree of the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR dated April 28, 1933 "On the celebration of the Day of the USSR Air Force" in honor of the outstanding achievements of scientists, aircraft designers, flight and technical personnel of the Air Force in strengthening the defense capability of the Soviet state.

The holiday was established for both military and civilian aviators, as well as developers and creators of aircraft.

By the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of October 1, 1980 "On Holidays and Memorable Days", the date of celebration of the Day of the Air Force of the USSR was postponed to the third Sunday in August.

In 1970, the USSR became a member of the International Civil Aviation Organization ICAO.

In 1972, regular flights began on the new Tu-154 long-haul aircraft.

In 1973, the Central Committee of the CPSU and the Council of Ministers of the USSR issued a resolution "On measures to improve flight safety in civil aviation."

From this date, a new qualitative stage in the formation and development of the air traffic control (ATC) system in the country began.

After the proclamation of sovereignty by Russia in 1991, a new stage began in the history of Russian civil aviation. “Aeroflot has ceased to be an all-Union structure and fell apart.

On the basis of territorial offices, new structures began to form: concerns, corporations, associations, airlines. In addition to the existing airlines, independent airlines began to form on a commercial basis.

In accordance with the decree of the President of the Russian Federation in October 1991, by a decree of the Council of Ministers of the RSFSR, the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation was abolished, and the Air Transport Department was formed as part of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation. A number of new formations of civil aviation were created, including the International Aviation Committee (IAC), which became a permanent body for the coordination of aviation and the use of airspace on an equal basis of twelve countries - independent states of the former USSR.

On March 19, 1997, the Air Code of the Russian Federation was adopted, establishing the legal basis for the use of the Russian airspace and activities in the field of aviation. In accordance with the code, federal rules for the use of airspace and federal aviation rules have been developed.

The stable operation of air transport is of great importance for the economy and social sphere of the country, and the state is taking all measures to support and sustainable development of domestic airlines and enterprises.

In 2007, the Government of the Russian Federation approved and by order of the Ministry of Transport of Russia approved the Federal Target Program "Development of the transport system of Russia (2010-2015)", which includes the subsection "Civil Aviation". The total amount of funding for the subprogram is 1250.5 billion rubles.

Air Fleet Day is celebrated in Russia on the third Sunday of August from August 18, 1933. Civil aviation has existed in Russia since 1923, when the first air line from Moscow to Nizhny Novgorod began operation.

From the net:
On August 12, 1912, on board the tsarist yacht "Standart" in the Novy Svet Bay, the Russian Emperor Nicholas II, at the disposal of the Treasury about financing aviation detachments, wrote with his own hand: "So be it!" On the same day, an order was issued in the military department, which transferred all questions of aeronautics and aviation from the jurisdiction of the Main Engineering Directorate of the newly created Aeronautical Unit of the Main Directorate of the General Staff. In fact, then the beginning of the organizational design of the Russian Air Force was laid, however, there was no question of celebrating this day, in its modern sense.
For the first time, the Day of the Air Force of the USSR, for both military and civilian aviators, was celebrated on August 18, 1933, in honor of the establishment of a civil aviation supervision service on August 18, 1923. The event was held on the basis of the resolution of the Council of People's Commissars, which indicated that the holiday should be used for the wide popularity of military and civil aviation, as well as for demonstrating achievements in the field of aviation technology and aviation construction as a powerful means of strengthening military and civil aviation. At the same time, it was ordered to celebrate the Day of the Air Fleet of the USSR annually on the third Sunday of August.
According to the established tradition, on the Day of the Air Fleet of the USSR, people involved in military and civil aviation jointly celebrated a professional holiday. As a rule, open days were organized at the airfields, and modern aviation technology was demonstrated for everyone. The pilots showed their high flying skills, coordination and skill. This was the case both before the Great Patriotic War, and after, until the collapse of the USSR.
Although it would seem that after the victory in the Great Patriotic War, where only 2,420 military pilots were awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union, moreover, 65 pilots became them twice, and Alexander Pokryshkin and Ivan Kozhedub - three times, in my opinion, it was necessary to establish for military aviators celebrate their heroic profession. However, this did not happen. Moreover, in modern Russia, after the collapse of the USSR, in accordance with the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Russian Federation of September 28, 1992 "On the establishment of the Day of the Russian Air Force", the holiday of aviators continued to be celebrated on the third Sunday of August. Moreover, he was also celebrated by both military and civilian aviators together.
The military did not quite agree with this approach, obviously, so they began to have their own holidays. So, by order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Air Defense Forces N 300 in 1996, the Day of Aviation of the Air Defense Forces was established (January 22). In the same year, the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, by order N 253, established the Day of Aviation of the Navy (July 17). Before that, it was already celebrated - Army Aviation Day (October 28).
But, as they say, historical justice has triumphed. Considering that on August 12, 1912, in fact, the Russian military aviation was officially born, by the Decree of the President of Russia N 949 of 1997, August 12 began to be celebrated as the Day of the Air Force of Russia.
And yet, when the celebration of professional holidays of military and civil aviators has been clarified, it should be noted that these events are traditionally based on the demonstration of aviation technology and the flying skills of its use. In this regard, I would like to remind you that the traditions of such a celebration date back to 1909, when for the first time the first celebration dedicated to flying vehicles took place on the Khodynskoye field.

Happy Holidays everyone. In the direction of the spear, take glasses with the appropriate number of faces and for the health of the flyers - go ahead! And with the song. And from all there is a proposal to send a letter to Putin on the legalization of 18 Aug. day of the Russian Air Force, in order to avoid health losses from 12 to 18 in the future. Hurray, hurray, hurray !!!

YES!!! Today the Native Plant NAPO also celebrated ..
For the factory workers and "spectators" of the city, another WONDERFUL flew today! Su-34 !!! Many people in Novosibirsk probably saw (or heard) how this happened ... Twisted loops, barrels, passed low ..., and RUMBLED throughout the city ... Unfortunately, the clouds were low, so he often went into the clouds ...
Happy Holidays!
