Valery bryusov landing stage. Motor ship "Valery Bryusov": history, photos, modern realities

Latest news from the Crimean embankment. The ship, moored to the Muzeon Park of Arts, will soon be sent to the farthest backwater of the capital. And we are not talking about the ship on which Peter the Great is standing. And about the one who is white and sharp-nosed. With cabins. Decks. And the Russian flag. Tourists willingly take selfies in front of it. And Muscovites too. Someone comes in for a bite to eat. Or look for some new thing. Because there are even shops and cafes on board a non-self-propelled vessel. He was driven to the center of Moscow in 1993 from Austria. At that time "Bryusov" was not only a restaurant, but also a hotel.

And in recent years, a whole art object has been made from it! The guys from the Flacon design plant team came to the Muzeon, on the territory of which the ship is located, and asked to give them several decks and cabins. Well, to hold various events there. Yoga and choreography classes. Film screenings. Lectures. Discos. Exhibitions. In general, create a cultural center inside this bandura. Muzeon said they were not against it, but the owner of the ship was the Moscow Tourist Fleet. The guys turned there and soon, having paid a certain amount for the rent, received permission. How much they paid, the activists do not admit. They say that it is a trade secret. Two years have passed since then. And only now it became clear that "the ship works in the format of an art center on the water and is operated without a water use agreement." This is what the official statement of the Moscow prosecutor's office said.

SEVEN DISEASED PEOPLE

In general, it turned out that "Valery Bryusov", despite the loud name, has no right to stand on the Crimean embankment. Why such a check was carried out only now is anyone's guess.

In addition, the owner will have to pay a fine of 50 thousand rubles to the state treasury, - added "KP" in the supervisory department. - And the general director of Mosturflot will pay 10 thousand more personally.

Yes, indeed, the prosecutor's office is closing Bryusov, ”confirmed one of the activists of the art ship. - But we do not intend to lose heart. We will look for another place for deployment.

- What do you do in general?

The art ship was invented in order to organize cultural events on it. If they were paid, we filled out all the necessary documents. But there were also free ones. In fact, this is the world's first creative cluster! And we are glad that we were given the opportunity to turn around. Well, the fact that the prosecutor's office is closing the ship does not matter. We do not intend to curtail our activities.

- Who are you? And how many are you?

We are a group of caring young people. We all work in different places. Now there are seven people.

LAST FROM MOGICAN

“Ship Bryusov is one of the last vessels to be removed from the territory of the Moskva River,” Nikolai Matushevsky, owner of the Flacon design plant, told KP. - Now the project is faced with the task of maintaining friendly relations with all partners and finding a new place for the ship. Rostov-on-Don, Nizhny Novgorod, Cheboksary are considered among the possible locations for the future action of the project. We are also open to any proposals from the regions that will be ready to take over the management of this project.

The ship "Valery Bryusov", by the way, is already 32 years old. Although seasoned sailors say that this is not age for such a vessel.

If, of course, he should be properly monitored, - told "KP" the head of the international association of public organizations of veterans of the navy and submariners Andrei Sharov. - It all depends on the conditions of detention and on the attitude of the crew. Look, the sailing ship "Kruzenshtern" is almost a hundred years old, and everything is in motion. In this case, the vessel is used for other purposes. And this almost always leads to the death of the ship.

The famous motor ship will stay near the Muzeon park for about a month. At least, this is what representatives of the Flacon design plant say (Mosturflot does not report this).

SHIP "VALERY BRYUSOV"

Passenger cruise ship

Build date: 1984 year

State: not in operation, docked ship

The vessel was decommissioned in 1992

Since June 1993, moored as a docking ship at the Krymskaya embankment on the Moskva River in Moscow

Passenger capacity: 100 passengers, 14 crew

Valery Bryusov is a three-deck passenger motor ship with a rich past, which has already served its term as a floating craft. Once it was considered one of the most comfortable in Russia and took tourists on cruises, including foreign ones. Then it became a hotel and restaurant, as well as the world's first public platform for residents of Moscow and guests of the city. But now the ship has left the capital and will be moored at the port of Kimry. We will tell you about the history and past of this cruise ship below.

Building a ship

"Valery Bryusov" is a motor ship, which was created by the Austrians. His homeland is the city of Korneuburg, at the shipyard of which he saw the light. The motor ship was built in 1985 and sold to the Moscow River Shipping Company. True, there is some information that all these five received, as it were, "in the load" to other orders. After all, this project was planned back in the Soviet Union, and there were several other economic calculations. Initially, the ship was intended for tourist and cruise purposes. It was named after the famous Russian poet Valery Bryusov. In those years, the ship was one of the most upscale and was built at the famous Austrian shipyard, which specialized in such ships.

Project Q-065: what is it?

This was the name of the idea for the construction of the same type of cruise ships. They were created in 1984-1986 in Austria specifically for Russian shipping companies. A total of five were built. They served the Moscow, Ob-Irtysh and Lena shipping companies. These are "Sergei Yesenin", "Alexander Blok", "Demyan Bedny", "Mikhail Svetlov" and the ship "Valery Bryusov". The ships of this project were the property of the Moscow and Lena tourist fleets. The project at that time was considered super modern and was intended to serve the so-called "blue ring".

"Valery Bryusov" during cruise operation: description of the vessel

This ship, like all five of its brothers, can accommodate one hundred and eighty people. It was intended for domestic river cruises. Its decks housed cabins for one, two and four people. There were also deluxe rooms. All cabins had showers, toilets and washbasins, as well as radios. The suites had sofas, refrigerators and televisions. "Valery Bryusov" is a motor ship, the equipment of which also provided for the provision of various services on board. At the disposal of passengers were: an ironing room, a cinema, a sauna, a dance floor, a bar and a restaurant for 80 people. The ship also had a salon with panoramic windows.

The ship was launched in 1985. Its length is 90 meters, width - 15. It can reach speeds of up to 22 km per hour, and its displacement was 1342 tons. The sailing draft was just over one and a half meters.

"Valery Bryusov" (motor ship): route

The ship worked on tourist lines until 1991, and according to some sources - until 1992. He made walks and cruises on the Moscow - Petersburg route. On this ship it was possible to walk along the rivers and lakes of the European part of Russia. There was a ship on the Volga, Oka, Neva, Kama, on the Don. I walked along Ladoga, Onega and Beloe lakes. Cruise routes varied from 1 (walking) to 22 days. The program included visits to ancient cities and cultural and historical centers of Russia - Ples, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Murom, St. Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don, Yaroslavl.

But the ship turned out to be economically unprofitable. The elite handsome motor ship "Valery Bryusov" (photos from 1985-1989 testify to this) consumed too much fuel. Although its size was small and allowed to travel along rivers, its services were abandoned after a few years. Financial problems were added to the issues with repairs. There was a shortage of spare parts of the required type in Russia. Austrian or German ones were in short supply, and a replacement could not be found. In the end, it became easier to take the ships out of service. The only vessel of this type, which is still used for its intended purpose in the European part of Russia, is the “Sergei Yesenin”.

Motor ship after "retirement"

Since 1993, the ship has no longer been used as a cruise ship. It did not change ownership, but became a floating hotel and restaurant on the Moskva River. Its new address was a place not far from the Kremlin, the vernissage and the House of Artists: 10. The motor ship "Valery Bryusov" turned into a landing stage. It is interesting that in order to deliver the ship to the center of Moscow, it was specially prepared for this, and the level of the river was lowered so that the ship could pass under the bridges. For the sake of the latter, the management of the shipping company even had to commit malfeasance. In 1994, all the necessary communications were completed, and a hotel, restaurant and casino were opened on board. A lot of money and work was invested in this business. But in the 2000s, many hotels were built in the capital, and the gambling business was banned. The hotel became unprofitable, and its comfort standards did not meet modern requirements. In the end, only budget tourists and students used its services, and even then less and less. It was closed in 2009, and the restaurant was closed in 2011.

Disputes over reconstruction

When the embankment began to be rebuilt, the ship caused numerous discussions both among architects and among the public. There were proposals to remove him from the river altogether. But since 2014, two companies - Drimers United and Flacon - have decided to make something special out of him. This concept considered the outlived tourist career, but still functional motor ship "Valery Bryusov", photographs with the image of which illustrate this article, as a public space of a new type. Thematically and architecturally, it was supposed to fit into the new style of the center of Moscow, as well as become part of the nearby Muzeon Park. This concept was approved by the city authorities and implemented.

Public space

Until recently, what was the ship "Valery Bryusov"? lecture hall, walking area, shopping and training center? A little bit of everything. There were creative studios and a cinema, and almost every day different cultural programs were realized. We can say that this was the first example in the world of using a ship in this way, which is laid up. Boutiques, a hairdresser and a health food restaurant were on the main deck. On the boat are various bureaus, agencies, lecture halls and training centers. Above - workshops, fast food with Greek cuisine, as well as panoramic areas where cultural and festive events were held.

State of the art

Nevertheless, it has recently turned out that the authorities of the capital have nevertheless decided to tow the ship from the Crimean embankment. This decision was made by the court, accusing the owners of the vessel that they violated the Water Code of Russia. All tenants of offices and public areas on the ship, at the request of the prosecutor's office, which was satisfied, had to leave its territory by May 27 of this year. Now the ship has given up mooring lines from the Krymskaya embankment for the first time in many years. This time, in order to conduct it under the bridges of the capital, the wheelhouse was dismantled. The ship was taken to the port of Kimry, where its status as a public space will be restored. But not in Moscow anymore. There are some suggestions that the ship can be used again for cruise purposes by installing new engines and making repairs. After all, this has already happened with ships that have become docked. Well, as they say, wait and see!

The information that the passenger cruise ship, which has been in the center of Moscow since June 1993, operating as a docking ship, has already been confirmed this spring. Accordingly, the cultural and entertainment art center, opened on board the ship in 2014, will be closed.

From 1993 to 2005, on board Valery Bryusov, in addition to the hotel and restaurants, a casino functioned, after the ban on the gambling business, a converted karaoke center.

In July 2014, the cultural and entertainment art center "Ship Bryusov", developed by the Flacon design plant, was on board the ship. In the autumn of the same year, the center, but in June 2015 again, which continues to the present moment.

Walking along the Crimean embankment and the park of arts "Muzeon" always looked at the ship "Valery Bryusov" and thought what they would come up with, a restaurant? A hotel? When we entered, something immediately reminded us, either the Artplay space on Kurskaya, or the Flacon design plant, it turned out that the project was really developed by the team of the Flacon plant and the Dreamers United creative workshop. From where I managed to look, while my daughter was running on the deck, this is a mini-theater for children under 7 years old "Just a joke", they invite to the performance every Sunday at 10-30, 11-30 and 12-40 "A story from nothing "(Cabin 202), a language laboratory" MyPeople "for all ages, an art coffee house Mams & Paps with an interesting design and drinks for children and adults. They also host concerts and watch movies. There are designer clothes shops, ateliers, a gallery of paintings ... We ran through the cabins almost at a gallop, lingered only in the children's theater - a bright room, brightly beautiful, friendly staff, told about the performance, invited. And in the Greek cafe "Sito" we were pleased with the real Greek salad and "penerli", or, as we can call them "boats with meat and cheese", they are baked before our eyes! The prices are quite democratic - coffee, for example, 100 rubles. In general, for those who love olives, oil and Greek sauce, you can go in. The upper deck is open, a transparent awning is stretched, there is a stage for various events. Wood and metal, looks great, views of Moscow are amazing! Nice and functional place where you can dress up, eat, drink, watch a movie, learn something and dance. And all this in the fresh air and on the water! Half of the cabins are still open, but worth a look.

A week ago, it was reported with great pomp about the change in the fate of the Valery Bryusov ship: "The motor ship, docked at the Crimean embankment, is turning into a community of fashionable shops and services, a recreation area on the water and a meeting place for creative teams ... Mossy cabins with cribs have been freed space for showrooms, beauty spots, cafeterias and cultural little places. In addition, there are several luxurious spaces on board for theater, dance, yoga and fooling around on the Moskva River. "
How could one remain indifferent to such information? I didn’t stay, and next Sunday after the opening we went to see it all with our own eyes.
Looking ahead, I will say that the result of the examination, to put it mildly, did not fully correspond to the information, nevertheless, we were satisfied. However, if you know the history of "Bryusov" and his brothers, which I will also tell you about, then you cannot do without a shade of sadness ...

The first attempt to penetrate was unsuccessful: we arrived too early, the ship was open from 12 o'clock; it would be nice of course to find out about this somewhere else, besides the ladder, but alas ...
We return in an hour and a half. Now you can go in.

First of all, we go around the decks number three. On the tank.

At about the same place, deck above

Well, I can't help but remove such a rarity :)

View of the Crimean embankment

Then we turn to the study of "art space". Hmmm, it seems that the opening (remember, it took place a week earlier) was clearly in a hurry. The vast majority of the premises are in about the same condition as in the photo below, and we are frankly superfluous, being, it seems, the only visitors among the workers and repairmen.
By the way, the girl at the reception (completed and quite decent), when asked when all this will open, hesitated and said that probably by August.

There are already ready-made premises, like this salon, although they are closed and do not function (filmed through a glass door)

Almost the only functioning institution is this shop of gifts and trifles.

And in the twindeck (the lowest of the available tiers, under the lower deck), these handmade lollipops are made. Somewhere higher they should be sold, but where exactly, we did not find. But they gave us a taste: delicious, but it sticks to the teeth mercilessly

And there is also Bryusov, which is already working and I liked it very much (there is a separate post about it). And finally - a little from the history of the ship.
"Bryusov" and four of its brothers in the series were built in Austria in 1984-86. This series was one of the last (of those that today walk along the rivers of Russia) and the most comfortable: even a sauna is provided. Their fate was different. "Svetlov" and "Demyan Bedny" still work on the Lena, "Yesenin" - in the Volga basin.
"Alexander Blok", having sailed for a very short time, got up on the Krasnopresnenskaya embankment and for 24 years turned into a floating hotel, and then a restaurant with a casino; however, then and now again in the ranks. In about the same way as "Blok" (restaurant, hotel, casino, something else), since 1993, "Bryusov" also existed.
Here he is guessed through the window of the Tretyakov Gallery branch behind the inscription "Karaoke"

Now, instead of karaoke and a restaurant, there will be a public art space for hipsters. Well, this is probably better.
And yet one cannot do without this song in the story about the fate of "Bryusov" ...
