5.4 Bought a tour to Cyprus for 4 nights

03.02.2020

We were in this hotel in January 2020, taking into account the availability of a car, everything was fine, there were no surprises. We arrived from the airport ourselves. Check in within ten minutes, however, they noticed us at the reception not immediately. The two girls talked very enthusiastically with each other. Everything in the room, as written in the reviews, due to winter, cleaning was not included in the list of services. Towels - thanks, changed. The food was good, there are no questions, everything is as in the reviews, but we will not return to this hotel.

30.01.2020

The feeling that the staff at the reception are in cahoots with a taxi. Background: they take away the passport at registration and say that they will give it back at check-out. So they won't give it up if you don't ask for it yourself. We have forgotten about this, because we have never taken our passports before. It turned out at the airport, we call the hotel, they say in a completely indifferent tone that they have passports. To my complaint that they promised to return, they answered, no, you yourself must ask. Wonderful. I called a taxi, gave him the passports, we had to give 50 euros to the taxi driver. Great circuit. The guy who went as far as the airport told us that this is very common here, there are taxis that earn only on passports. The food is average. We flew with baby 1.3, there was almost always nothing to feed. For breakfast, yogurt them (I stopped eating them after a few days), for dinner I can't find anything at all. The room is cool, the thermostat was turned on all the time. There was nowhere to dry clothes, I had to hang them on the sides of the crib. Neighbors were not heard, I slept perfectly.

8.0 Bought a tour to Cyprus for 11 nights

09.01.2020

Convenient location: near the embankment, supermarkets, bus stop. Meals are buffet style, breakfasts are the same, often for breakfast, dinner was used what was not eaten last time. The room was by the pool, you could hear the pump chomping all the time. Cleaned the room on request, 2 times in 11 days. Excellent wifi. The room was very humid. Friendly, helpful staff. We are picky, so we liked almost everything, we didn't pay much attention to the shortcomings above.

6.0 Bought a tour to Cyprus for 9 nights

26.11.2019

The winter concept was with a buffet, quite normal, a lot of meat, with worse fruit, but there is. We had "all inclusive", there were no queues, but it is better for dinner later at seven, because the tables are all occupied earlier, those who have breakfast, dinner, and are hungry come running. Those who have breakfast, dinner, drinks are not included, but people easily bring their juices, no one said a word to them. It is better to buy green tea, in the hotel it is very mediocre, the beer is given normal, the rest of the alcohol is also nothing. The pool water in mid November is refreshing, almost no one swam. The sea was fresh 22-24, but everyone swam if it was sunny. The beach to the right at a quick pace of 15 minutes, but it's small, well, to the left behind the port for 20 minutes with a child, but it's big and without stones, it's good there. It's fun to feed the fish with bread in the port. Sun loungers for rent 2.5 euros per day. Beach towels for a deposit and for rent, every day a certain amount is deducted from the deposit. In short, we went with the whites from the room. In the evening, some kind of animation, there were never. Children's disco at 20 o'clock. The family room had a kettle. Sockets with a triple plug, they say, they give an adapter at the reception on bail, but we had our own. The territory is small, but everyone walks along the sea, there is an excellent path for many kilometers. There is a bike rental. Renting an electric scooter with a seder in the city 10 euros 2 hours, but did not take it. There are cafes and shops in the city, although almost everything is closed, but enough, the average price of a dish in a cafe is 15-20 euros.

I liked the hotel, friendly staff, delicious and varied food. The cats are fed dry food, for which a special thank you, the cats are well-fed and satisfied. The room has everything you need, a safe, an air conditioner, a hairdryer, a kettle, a refrigerator are included in the ticket price. Free Wi-Fi catches well in the room and on site. We will come again!

4.6 Bought a 7 nights tour to Cyprus

20.11.2019

Bed linen was not changed for 3 days until asked twice. They pushed the bed against the wall so that the child could sleep at the wall, where the bed was, of course, there was dirt on the floor, so for three days the floor was also in this place and remained dirty. On the second day, the dirty towels were removed from the floor, new ones were not given. Maybe this is the norm for tours, the first experience. The food is also questionable, everything is in some kind of sauces, yesterday's foam is mixed with today's pasta of a different kind. In short, I can understand when old furniture, worn out linen, but when it is clean! Four stars do not pull, IMHO.

In general, everything is good, it is only far from the sea, you only need to travel by transport, but in general it is perfect for families with children.

6.0 Bought a 7 nights tour to Cyprus

20.04.2019

The hotel was a triple, not a four, took breakfast and dinner, the rest of the time traveled around Cyprus. There are 2 beds in the room, which are constantly moving apart ... There is no telephone, the air conditioner did not work (then they did it), the water in the washbasin was very bad. The cleaning ladies knock 2 times and immediately go into the room ... Breakfasts were always the same, dinner changed. The food choices are small and most importantly, there is no water at dinner! Absolutely not. As the front desk said: "You don't have all inclusive, either buy at the bar or bring your own." I won't go there again.

7.0 Bought a 7 nights tour to Cyprus

13.04.2019

Rested in this hotel for the second time. I liked the food: the choice of dishes is large, the food is delicious. We were on half board, it was enough, there was not even a desire to dine, we ate in the morning. During the season, it may be noisy, as there is a water park and an amusement park nearby. With small children, I would not go to this hotel during the season. Were cleaned in 7 days only 3 times, but towels were given with a margin. There was a kettle in the room, but in fact it was not. Shampoo, soap and body lotion were only on the day of arrival, no longer replenished, but this is not critical. I didn’t like that the design of the shower was such that water poured directly onto the floor, there was no curtain, and it was constantly damp due to this, a whole puddle in the bathroom. There are a few ants on the floor in the room, but that wasn't particularly annoying either. The small refrigerator worked fine. All in all I recommend the hotel.

Excellent hotel

Very good family run hotel. Great location.

    Internet9.9

    Good quality wifi. Internet is free.

    Location8

    Great location. Relatively close to the beach. Great sightseeing opportunities, great restaurants and shops nearby.

When planning a vacation on the fabulous island of Cyprus, we had a question, where are we going to live. Many options were considered, from budget 50,000 (it turns out there are such) to 150,000. Taking a very cheap hotel could mean that we risk ruining our vacation, and there was no point in taking an expensive hotel, since we were planning to travel around the island, and not sit in a hotel.

As a result, our choice fell on Panthea Holiday Village Waterpark 4 * - which is not very new and therefore not very expensive, but with reasonably good food. This hotel is focused on family vacations and holidays with young children.

Location.

The hotel is located in the center of Ayia Napa, the hotel is considered to be located on the first line, according to official information, the distance from the sea is about 500 meters. From the sea yes, but not from the beach (((In order to get to the nearest beaches you will have to go out into the city on the street (you won't be able to walk along the coast, there is a construction site on both sides)) and walk 10 minutes to the famous Nissi Beach 15-20 minutes.

This inconvenience did not bother us, we love to walk, but for those who are resting with small children this can be a problem.

The territory of the hotel.

The hotel consists of small bungalow-type houses with 7-8 rooms each.

Number of rooms:

147 rooms: 79 studios and 78 one-room apartments.

I usually try to choose hotels with the option of staying in a bungalow - they seem to me much more comfortable than large hotel buildings.

The territory itself is quite large and well-groomed, but still some flaws are visible.

In the center of the hotel there is an outdoor swimming pool with a gentle slope (very convenient for children). There is also an indoor pool, but we didn't use it.

Entertainment and sports:

Open pool;

Indoor swimming pool;

Health club;

Volleyball;

Basketball;

Gym;

Jacuzzi;

Water polo.

Beach towels paid, and at an inadequate price of 2.5 euros per day, it is easier to walk and buy a towel at the nearest store.

One of the criteria that influenced the choice of this particular hotel was that on its territory there is a fairly good AQUAPARK.

WI-FI on the territory of the hotel free, in the lobby it catches well enough, on the territory and in the room it is tolerable.

The hotel has a fairly large private parking, which was a definite plus for us, because we rented a car.

Number.

Rooms at Panthea Holiday Village are spacious enough, but old, so to speak, well-worn.

Description of rooms:

Air conditioner;

Private bathroom with shower and toilet;

Telephone;

Kitchen equipment;

24-hour room service.

Each room has either a balcony or a terrace with a table and chairs (hurray! Not plastic).

Safe in the room paid- 12.5 euros per week of use + 10 euros deposit per key.

Despite the fact that the room was on the 1st floor, there were no cockroaches and other animals.

Our room was in a bungalow near the water park, we have always been quiet and calm, but in the rooms overlooking the pool, I think it will not be so calm.

Upon check-in at the hotel (I do not know, fortunately or unfortunately) the rooms are already assigned to the guests. So 20 euros for a good room doesn't seem to work. And I don’t think there are rooms in Panthea Holiday Village that cost that surcharge.

Nutrition:

We had all-inclusive food, food according to this concept is not much more expensive than breakfast + dinner, but every day it would be very expensive to dine in cafes in the rather expensive tourist city of Ayia Napa (on average, from 30 euros for two) ...

Restaurants, bars:

Okeanos indoor restaurant offers a wide selection of national and international cuisine, Cypriot wines;

Okeanos open-air tavern offers a rich selection of international cuisine, Cypriot dishes and drinks;

Poseidon Bar offers tea, coffee and a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

Sailor's Bar offers a wide range of drinks and exotic cocktails.

Although the food in the hotel does not shine with a variety, everything is quite tasty.

Breakfast every day was the same: fried eggs, scrambled eggs, fried bacon, sausages, various salads, olives, beans in tomato sauce, pasta, cereals, cereals with milk and the like, cheeses (by the way, very tasty), yoghurts, fruits, various buns, chocolate spreads and jams. In general, you will not stay hungry.

Lunches and dinners were approximately the same, with the exception that for lunch there was soup, and for dinner they periodically tried to prepare a menu of different national cuisines (we found Italian, Mexican and Asian).

For lunch and dinner, there was always poultry, meat, fish, pasta, potatoes, cereals, lots of salads and stews, all delicious, well cooked.

Snacks and snacks served in the bar behind the Sailor’s pool - these "snacks" could have been full of food - the portions were simply huge. You order from the menu - on the menu - pizza, two types of pasta, hot dogs, burgers, sandwiches, etc.

The main restaurant is equipped four coffee machines like Nespresso, to which you could make yourself different types of coffee and hot chocolate. The coffee is of good enough quality.

From soft drinks there was water and powdered juices a la Yupi and Zuko, it was a little upsetting.

Alcoholic drinks as elsewhere - dry white and red wine, beer, local alcohol (here you should pay tribute to the quality), well, a variety of cocktails.

Near the hotel.

Panthea Holiday Village can rather be attributed to a city hotel than to a beach, the hotel is located a little further from one of the walking and shopping streets Nissi Avenue - there are many shops and cafes on it.

Near the hotel is located Lunapark Parko Paliatso.

The cheapest is located in 5 minutes walk. Incredible Universe store- everything is much cheaper here, both wine and food, and edible souvenirs (oils, honey, sweets, spices, olives) and various little things. Store address Nissi Avenue, Agia Napa, 5330, Cyprus.

Cheap souvenirs can be purchased here: Planet Store - Address 27, Makarios III | 5330, Ayia Napa, Cyprus.

Not far from Ayia Napa is the most beautiful Cape Cavo Greco - a natural landmark of Cyprus, which I highly recommend you to visit.

General impression.

In general, we liked the hotel, of the minuses I can single out the old rooms and the relative distance from the beaches. Well, here, as if we knew where we were going, and taking an expensive new hotel with beautiful rooms and the same level of food (and the overpayment would have been about 30,000 rubles, and this is for a city hotel), when we just spent the night in the room, there was no point ...

So if you are planning to spend your vacation in Panthea Holiday Village, then recommend this to those who are not embarrassed by old rooms and walking.

A hotel for the unpretentious.
We went in early September with a company of relatives: me (mother) with a child (3 years old) + two families of grandparents.
Before the trip, we read the reviews, so we knew what to expect.

Accommodation:
they do not settle here in advance, no one, neither Russians nor foreigners. Many people sleep in the hotel lobby from 7 am. If your flight arrives before check-in time, consider putting aside things to change into and go swimming, for example. On the basement floor (right below the hall) there are toilets, showers and a sauna (maybe towards the end of the season, when it gets cooler, it will be popular, but we have never been there).

Food:
Turkish fives of 150 sq.m. with a variety of dishes, don't wait. Everything here is in a purely European manner: a small area, a minimum of variety, but what they all give is quite tasty. Of the minuses, I note that there is nothing to feed the child with in the morning. There are no kash (one of some kind appeared, but she did not inspire confidence in me). Flakes with milk, eggs with sausage and not a sweet bun, that's all (although all children eat differently, maybe I didn't discover everything for myself and the child). For lunch, 1 type of soup (always like a cream soup, and sometimes spicy). There was always a choice of meat, beef, chicken (stewed, fried, spicy, sweet and sour), lamb, pork. Of the fruits, there were not very sweet (surprisingly) watermelons, apples, sometimes pears (wooden), canned (!) Peaches.

Pools:
one large with a gradual increase in depth. One small one for playing with the ball through the net. Children's with a slide-bunny standing on the side.
+ Water park (for those who take "all inclusive" - free of charge). The water park has two children's pools: one with a slide frog and a slide ship, the second with a large ship with slides and other entertainments. But the water in the second is cold, which is surprising, because in all pools the water is like fresh milk.
On the slides in the water park, in general, there is where to ride, with the child even allowed on one "adult" slide, blue. The son was overjoyed. Itself rolled on all the slides, I really liked those where the cheesecakes (there are two of them).

Hotel:
Two bars. One is in the pulbar (it is called a "tavern" there), which is open from 10:30 to 17:30, the second is "main" next to the hall and at the same time with the "dining room".
There is no water in the rooms. But if you give the bartender an empty bottle, he will fill it with water. We bought a package of 6 bottles at a local store (near the entrance to the Lunapark).
We already wrote that the entire hotel is two-story houses. The key (not a card, and even with a weighty key fob for defense))) give one per number. The rooms are modest but quite spacious. Everything is there: hair dryer, iron, dishes, including a frying pan, saucepan, stove, etc. During our stay in our room, the shower broke, went to the reception, explained, and repaired the same evening. The air conditioner worked properly. The territory is quite green, there are many different plantings, but because of this, another drawback appears: various animals crawl / fly into the room every now and then. We had an ant trail outside the front door, right up to the bathroom entrance. Until they crawled further, we did not bother each other.
We cleaned our room extremely mediocre ... On one of my photos there is a photo of a sleeping place "after cleaning", it can be seen that one half of the bed did not even bother to fill, like the second. For the sake of fairness, I would like to note that in my parents' room (1402, my child and I lived in 4501), the cleaning was beyond praise, always clean, towels were regularly changed, balconies were cleaned, incl. on the table. But since my child and I only came to our room to take a shower and to sleep we were not very upset with all of the above disadvantages. If you go to this hotel to sit in a room, then it will definitely disappoint you.

Beach:
as in all reviews, I repeat: it is NOT here. yes "line 1", but there is no entrance to the sea. we tried to visit the maximum number of beaches, and not only go to Nisia beach or Makronissos. All in order:
1. the closest beach "to the right" of the hotel. walk with a stroller for 10-12 minutes. entrance into the water from one stone. there is almost no sand underfoot (in the water). But there is a beach on the shore. The child has nothing special to do there except for direct bathing with floating devices. We went there to swim with fins, a mask and a snorkel. The marine fauna is certainly not the Red Sea. Basically this is a rocky bottom, with small "craters", there are probably a dozen species of fish (in any case, I saw about so many), sea urchins, saw a small crab, something like a sea centipede, only more and even saw how the marine life ate a small octopus (!).
2. further to the right (20 minutes walk) another beach. rocky when high tide, the entrance is more sandy. There are water activities for adults: parachute, jet ski, sofa
3. further to the right (by bus, 6-10 minutes). Nissi beach. Large, sandy, gently sloping entrance. VERY VERY many people. The only beach where there is no free shower (to rinse the sea field), only for the feet, but it is one (!) For this whole beach. Relatives swam around the island on the right with fins and masks, they said there was something to see.
4. even further to the right Makronissos (by bus 12-15 minutes) + then another walk from the road for 7 minutes. Sandy, gently sloping entrance to the water. Much quieter than Nissi Beach.
5. to the left towards the port (20 minutes walk). The beach stretches for about 5 kilometers, the closer to the port (and to the hotel, respectively), the more rocky the entrance. It is impossible to get to the far part of the beach with a stroller. On the near side, the entrance to the water is along a path made of sandbags in the water, which end together with stones (at this point, an adult is already chest-deep somewhere). I put my child on my back and so we went in, and then jumped on the waves there. In general, it is possible to bring the child there again with floating means (inflatable rings / rafts / arm ruffles, etc.).

Well, for a snack I would like to talk about the beach, which few people write about in the reviews.
6. on the other (far) side of the "port" beach there is Maistrali beach. We took a taxi there for about 12-15 minutes. This is probably the best beach we've visited on this trip. Sandy gently sloping entrance to the water. About 50 meters from the coast (you need to swim) there is an underwater stone island where people feed fish and there are a lot of them. There are water activities for every taste, color and budget. But most importantly, the rocks begin to the left of the beach. They are small, some even jump from them into the water. Swimming along them with a mask and a snorkel is a pleasure. There are many schools of fish, there are grottoes and caves in the rocks, if you swim a little further. Along the water you can walk along the rocks, for example, in the special. slippers and from there dive along further from the coast.

evening rest:
In fact, there is practically no animation in the hotel, but they will dance with the children on the mini-disco in the evening and even give a ball :)
The first few evenings, of course we went to the luna park. Humanitarian prices: 12 tokens for 10 euros. If the child is older and there is only one on the attraction, then the price for children is basically 1 token, if, like mine, and on some attractions I am still with me, then 2 tokens. There is a place to ride a child, and to ride himself. We (adults) rode a big ship and a booster, the latter left a lot of impressions.
In addition to the luna park, we rented electric scooters. For me with a child, I asked for a child seat (not available at all rental points). The cost is different, we found (to the left of the hotel) for 10 euros for 2 hours. Everyone got pleasure, both me and the child and the parents. While riding this scooter, we discovered the dinopark (it is located in the direction of Nissi Beach on the opposite side of the bike path). Exhibition of dinosaurs that wiggle and growl. By popular request, the child went there twice).

Sorry for the multibukaf.

I am resting in this hotel now) and I can say that the minus here is only 1-distance to the sea, 15 minutes walk to the beach at walking pace. As for the friendliness of the staff and the food, 10 points is too little! All at the highest level! All employees are very friendly, always striving to make the rest of tourists as comfortable as possible! The food is just super rrr! Everything is delicious and a lot of variety (I'm afraid that weight gain is inevitable))) very tasty!

We rested as a couple at the end of March - at the beginning of April. We were in Cyprus for the first time. Of the 7 days, it was rainy a couple of days, but it rained intermittently, it was possible to take a walk. Arrived at the hotel in the morning at 9 o'clock - immediately offered to leave the luggage and have breakfast. The check-in in the conditions of a fairly large arrival passed quickly, waited about 3 hours, examined the surroundings. We were lucky with the room - the view was on the lunapark and the sea was slightly visible, the orange tree right in front of the balcony pleased) Room 3213. At the meeting with the guide, some complained about the rooms, but there was nothing critical in general. The service is good, they took breakfast and dinner. The food is excellent, it is not even necessary to take All-in. The hotel is perfectly located. There are a lot of shops nearby, there is McDonald's, but we did not go there, we had enough hotel food + you can buy it in stores if necessary.
There is an exit to the sea at the back of the hotel. The hotel does not have its own beach, but this is not a problem. There is a path in both directions. To the left, you can walk in 10 minutes to the port, there is a good municipal sandy beach, if you walk another 20 minutes, you can come to the Sculpture Park and the famous Lovers' Bridge. If you go right from the hotel, you will find several beaches along the way, including Nissi. On foot from the hotel no more than 40-50 minutes, walking along the sea.
We did not plan to take excursions, we like to go everywhere ourselves. The guide's story about the excursions did not interest at all, especially since there was a mess with them, the guide herself did not know when they had buses.
You can go from the hotel across the road up the street, there you go to the Ayia Napa monastery and stella. I also advise you to get to Cape Cavo Greco. There is a bus stop near the hotel, route 101 - call the driver "Cavo Greco" - 1.5 euros per person for a bus ticket. No more 15 minutes drive, the driver himself will announce a stop. Route 102 goes back to Ayia Napa. Get to Larnaca, Protaras, etc. yourself is not a problem.
There is no language barrier. At the hotel, we have always had Russian-speaking girls at the reception, and Cypriots, in principle, understand Russian quite well, English can also be explained. I liked the rest as a whole very much, although at the end of March - beginning of April it is not the season yet, but this is the time of flowering. From April 1, there are more and more tourists. If you are not a fan of parties and want to enjoy the silence, then the end of March is the time for a trip, just grab a light jacket with you.

Were at the hotel in August. Of the minuses, cleaning - the first three days no one came at all, then they went to the reception and everything became ok, I had to walk almost every day, but after the reception everything was getting better. and always busy with something. So, if you know a little English, feel free to contact anyone, you will figure it out! There is no need to swear, all problems are solved very quickly. Basically, if it doesn't bother you, then everything else is a plus.
