Is autumn already bringing the blues? Well, there is at least one way to get rid of it - go on a cruise around the world. Moreover, many such trips begin in September-November.

First, you need to take care of about three free months - that’s how long a cruise around the world lasts. As a rule, cruises of this duration begin in one of the ports of the USA or Canada, but there are also shorter programs, starting from European ports (for example, from Italy and Greece). In any case, you will need to apply for several visas at once. The hassle with documents is fully compensated by the impressions: depending on the route, you will visit two or even more continents, you'll see exotic islands and the endless ocean in all its grandeur, cross the date line or the equator.

The cruise price usually includes accommodation and meals on board, as well as entertainment programs, fitness, swimming pools and other attributes of a luxurious holiday. The cost of round-the-world tours for 80–90 days starts from 800 thousand rubles, and this does not include mandatory expenses such as service fees, excursions, on-board purchases and air travel to the destination port! If your travel budget is a concern, you can book only part of the route.

When planning a trip around the world, do not forget about the dress code - on many ocean liners it is customary to come to dinner in evening clothes. It wouldn't hurt to take your loved ones with you Board games, as well as a tablet with films and TV series (they can be downloaded offline in advance; this option is offered, for example, by an online cinema ivi) to pass the time during sea crossings. Here are just five films you can watch on such a trip.

"Kon-Tiki"

Cross Pacific Ocean on a small raft? Not fantasy at all, but historical fact. In 1947, the Norwegian traveler Thor Heyerdahl assembled the Kon-Tiki raft measuring 14 by 5 meters from resinous wood and, together with five comrades, set off for a hundred-day battle with huge sea animals and the violence of nature.

The film “Kon-Tiki” was a long-time dream of its producer Jeremy Thomas, who waited for many years for Heyerdahl’s permission to film and received it only in 2002, before the death of the traveler. Filming took place in the Maldives and Malta, Norway, the USA, Bulgaria and Thailand. By the way, years later, the Russian traveler Yuri Senkevich also took part in Heyerdahl’s expedition - he, together with the Tour team, sailed across the Atlantic Ocean on the boat “Ra”.

"The Adventures of Poseidon"

At midnight of the New Year, luxurious ocean liner The Poseidon collides with a giant wave and crashes. There is nowhere to wait for help. Reverend Frank Scott takes charge of a group of nine survivors and intends to get them off the ship. But the grand ballroom is located in the very heart of the ship, so the heroes have a long and dangerous journey through flooded rooms and collapsing compartments.

The action adventure film directed by Ronald Neame and Irwin Allen gained enormous popularity among viewers and collected an impressive box office - $84 million in the United States alone. This phenomenon could not help but be noted by film academics - they awarded the film statuettes for the best song and for “special achievements.” The ship in this film is a real hero with its prototype, the British transatlantic liner Queen Mary. (Queen Mary).

"Speed 2: Cruise Control"

An intense action movie with a whole scattering of Hollywood stars - Sandra Bullock, Willem Dafoe, Jason Patric - is considered one of the most expensive "sea" films ($160 million in budget).

To please his girlfriend Annie, Alex, an undercover agent, invites her on a romantic cruise Caribbean Sea on luxury liner. As luck would have it, a crazy computer genius ends up on board this particular ship, declaring war on the capitalists. The company that built the liner did not pay him extra wages. But he knows how to subjugate the ship's control system... It turns out that cruise It may well be fast.

"The Double Life of Charlie St. Cloud"

The mystical melodrama with young Zac Efron based on the novel of the same name by Ben Sherwood will tell the story of Charlie, who lives in a small town on the beautiful coast. After years that brought him many life turmoil, Charlie again meets his classmate Tess, who is preparing to commit alone trip around the world and goes to sea every day.

Behind the melodramatic ambience in “A Double Life” there is a good instruction for beginners: how to set a sail, how to drive a wave, how to train on the shore. You will also see incredibly beautiful yachts, landscapes and sports competitions.

"The Diamond Arm"

Do you remember on which ship Gesha and Semyon Semenovich Gorbunkov spent their cruise? In fact, three ships starred in Leonid Gaidai’s famous comedy under the fictitious name “Mikhail Svetlov” black sea fleet: cruise ships"Russia", "Ukraine" and "Georgia". By the way, after filming the folk comedy in seaport Sochi has its own “Mikhail Svetlov” - the port management named the new pleasure liner by this name.

06/02/2016 “Around the world with a book in 90 days of summer”

Summer is a wonderful time, full of laughter, smiles and just a good mood. Summer is also a time to read! On June 2, the grand opening of the traditional Summer Readings “Around the World with a Book in 90 Days of Summer” took place at the Dubov Children’s Library. On this day, young readers became not only spectators, but also direct participants in fabulous quizzes, outdoor games and a real theatrical performance “Reading! Reading! Wonderful country!”, where the main characters were Signor Tomato and Chipolino. Together with fairy-tale characters young bookworms amicably and cheerfully solved riddles and answered knowledge questions literary characters, participated in competitions, played air tennis, laughed, sang and danced. The children plunged into the positive and spectacular atmosphere of the summer reading holiday. The children's answers to the quiz questions proved that the audience was truly the best reader. At the celebration, small gifts were presented to all those present, the real leaders of the summer readings. I would like to believe that the children will remember the warm welcome in the library and will want to come here again and again.
