Vacationers themselves take care of the area, so trash may be found. People come here to be alone with their company; many stay with tents and do not pay for housing.

There are places on Dolzhanka where swimming is prohibited; there are signs there. It is not recommended to ignore the warning. The point is that the waves of the Azov Sea, closer to the end of the land, rise several meters.

The water here is cold, the bottom is unexplored, so swimming in such places is an extreme undertaking. Windsurfing is practiced in the area of large waves. Every guest of Dolzhanka can try himself in this sport under the supervision of an instructor. What recreational opportunities Dolzhanskaya offers, see photos of the village and the beach in the article or on the forums where vacation reviews are posted.

The main areas of recreation in the region are beaches, excursions and shopping. Cafes in the region offer a standard set of menus and delicacies. Souvenirs are bought in private shops or on excursions in other regions.

History of the village of Dolzhanskaya

The history of these places is long and eventful. Scientists have discovered that the Long Spit is indicated on maps compiled by the ancient Greek scientist Ptolemy, who lived in the 2nd century AD.

The Sea of Azov has always been famous for the abundance and variety of fish; the tribes of the Polovtsians and Scythians were drawn here (perhaps their wives also shouted: “I want to go to the south, let’s go visit soon!”). Greeks, Tatars, and Genoese were also frequent guests here. Archaeologists still find fragments of amphorae, coins, and arrowheads in these places.

The year of the establishment of the village of Dolzhanskaya is considered to be 1848, when the Cossacks began to move to these places. Dolzhanka began to be built from the sea and received its name in honor of the spit. This is evidenced by the first photos of the village and the beach, where houses with reed roofs are clearly visible.

Under Soviet rule, the population of the village survived collectivization, and during the war it was occupied by the Germans. Dolzhanskaya was released only in 1943.

Nowadays, the village is gaining a reputation as an excellent resort; it is chosen by those who want to relax away from the hustle and bustle of fashionable resorts, enjoy the endless sea views, taste the waters from mineral springs and heal with healing mud.

Active recreation in Dolzhanka on the Dolgaya spit

The beaches and water area of the Dolzhanskaya Spit on the Sea of Azov have long been chosen for recreation and sports by adherents of an active lifestyle and extreme sports. Bases and surf stations are located on the first line, literally right next to the sea. All conditions have been created for tourists to practice such sports as:

  • windsurfing;
  • surfing;
  • paddle boarding;
  • kitesurfing.

The bases have a variety of modern equipment for windsurfing and kite surfing, and all conditions for training have been created. Rental points are open.

Nature itself has created all the conditions here for conquering the waves. The spit separating the sea and the bay surprises vacationers with the fact that on one shore there can be complete calm, and on the other there can be strong excitement.

Also, fishing lovers are invited to these places to catch pelengas and autumn fishing for rams on the Dolgaya spit. Holidays in Dolzhanskaya can be very different, calm and active. Here everyone will find something to their liking and will be able to learn new sports.

Sights of Dolzhanskaya

In the village of Dolzhanskaya, the main attraction is, of course, the Dolgaya Spit, but besides it there is something to see. Holidays in Dolzhanka in the summer attract many vacationers; here you can have fun, make interesting acquaintances, and try national cuisine. For example, a wonderful holiday is the day of the village of Dolzhanskaya 2017. The Dolzhanskaya spit on the Azov Sea is relaxation and interesting excursions. You can visit the Dolzhansky Church of the Life-Giving Trinity, the local history museum, the “Feathered Rainbow” bird exhibition, and visit Swan Lake located right in the village of Dolzhanskaya.

Also, to improve your health in the village of Dolzhanskaya, you can visit the mud lake and gain strength for the year ahead. And there are a lot of interesting things in the vicinity of the village. You can go to Yeysk, where pre-revolutionary buildings still stand, or see the exhibition of the Kuban Farm museum in the village of Morskoye.

Beaches of Kosy Dolgaya

The beaches of Dolzhanka stretch along the spit, as well as along the shore of the Taganrog Bay and the sea coast of Azov. Here you can find sandy and shell beaches. There are both equipped and undeveloped areas. The “wild” territory is more secluded, here you can think without noise and fuss, looking at the Taganrog Bay or admiring the waves of the Azov Sea. The depth near the shore is great in some places, but there are also many shallow areas. Both children and adults enjoy swimming here.

Climate of Dolzhanskaya Spit

The swimming season in Dozhanka lasts from May to September. The average water temperature exceeds 22 degrees. The shallow Sea of Azov warms up quickly and during the season the water temperature here usually stays at around 24-25 degrees.

You can sunbathe and swim already on the May holidays. There are almost no rainy or foggy days here in summer.

How to get to Dolzhanskaya

You can get to Dolzhanskaya by plane, train, bus or private car. The easiest way is to take a plane ticket to Rostov-on-Don. In summer, planes fly from Moscow several times a day. From Rostov to Dolzhanskaya 220 km, this distance can be covered by bus or taxi.

You can come to Yeysk by train and in forty minutes you will be in Dolzhanskaya. There are many trains going in this direction. Regular buses from Moscow, Krasnodar and other large cities also go here.

Traveling in a personal car, a tourist will spend more time, but while enjoying his vacation in Dolzhanskaya, he will be able to visit other places.

A holiday in the village of Dolzhanskaya in 2019 will give you vivid impressions and a charge of positive energy.

In the last couple of years, many Russians have chosen summer holidays in their homeland. After all, the country is huge and full of wonderful sights. The topic of this article will be the Dolzhanskaya Spit. The Sea of Azov, into which it juts out, has long been considered a place for inexpensive family vacations. But the coastal towns of Kuban are crowded in summer. In addition, in terms of the development of recreational infrastructure, they are significantly inferior to the Black Sea resorts of the Caucasus.

The Sea of Azov is replete with spits. What kind of natural formation is this? Rivers carry silt and sand into the sea. It gradually accumulates at the bottom - first in the form of underwater dunes, and then begins to rise above the surface. Such natural formations, when viewed from above, resemble girlish braids. Where they connect to the mainland, they are wide, and gradually taper towards the tip. Sometimes the sea erodes the thin diameter of the spit, and islands form. Water on both sides is the main bonus that this natural formation gives vacationers.

Where is it? How to get to Dolzhanskaya Spit

In the summer, the Krasnodar region receives many guests from all over Russia. On the eastern coast of the Sea of Azov is the Yeisk Peninsula, which outlines the Taganrog Bay from the south. Officially (on the maps) the natural formation that interests us is called the “Dolgaya Spit”. But due to the fact that there is a small resort at the base, it bears the name of this settlement.

The Dolgaya Spit separates it from the open sea. It is composed mainly of shell rock. To get to its base, you first need to come to Yeysk. Dolzhanskaya Spit is located forty kilometers from this city. Minibuses and buses run from the regional center to the village. Well, then go on your own. Suitable housing can be found in the village itself. There are a lot of offers from the private sector - from family-type hotels with a swimming pool to modest rooms. Motorists can drive closer to the end of the spit and camp at the campground.

Climate and ecology

The Dolzhanskaya Spit protrudes far into the sea. Due to this geographical location, the climate there is temperate continental. The sea, warmed up during the summer, softens the winter cold, and in the summer the heat is not felt so much here. The sea breeze cools the heat. There are no large industrial enterprises in the entire district, so the environmental situation on Dolzhanskaya Spit is the most favorable. This natural formation almost encloses the Taganrog Bay.

Between the Dolzhanskaya (Russian Federation) and Belosarayskaya (Ukraine) spits there are only forty kilometers. The water off the coast of the natural embankment is very clean, especially from the open sea. A dense coniferous forest is planted between the village of Dolzhanskaya and the spit itself. Phytoncides emitted by sun-heated pine trees have a healing effect on the respiratory system. Another valuable factor is therapeutic mud. However, the anthropogenic factor still affects the condition of the Dolzhanskaya Spit. In the fifties of the last century, its length was seventeen kilometers, and now it is less than ten. This reduction in the territory of the Russian Federation occurs due to the fault of those who take shell rock for construction needs.

When to go to Dolgaya Spit

The village of Dolzhanskaya was founded in 1848 by settlers from the banks of the Dnieper. Ukrainian Cossacks built a cozy village at the base of the spit and engaged in gardening and fishing. And even now the population of the village is only less than eight thousand people. Therefore, during peak season the village may seem overcrowded. But the Dolzhanskaya Spit always pleases vacationers with its open spaces.

You can swim in the well-warmed shallow Azov Sea from the second half of May. The beach season closes at the beginning of October. Since 2011, the village has hosted the Dolzhansky Marathon windsurfer festival in early September. Both those who like to ride a board under sail and kiters take part in it. A concert with the participation of musical groups is organized on the embankment. During the festival, it will be difficult to find accommodation in the village of Dolzhanskaya. The most interesting period for holidays on the spit is August. The temperature - both air and water - is approaching +25 degrees. And the abundance of fruits will be an additional bonus to your relaxation.

Beaches of Dolzhanskaya Spit

The natural dune, which gradually rose above the surface of the water, was formed not only by the removal of alluvium into the sea by the mighty Don River. Tidal forces threw a lot of broken shells onto the sandy shore. The Dolzhanskaya Spit stretches for nine and a half kilometers. Its beaches become more and more deserted as you move towards the edge. When you reach a place where the spit becomes very narrow, you may see a strange phenomenon. If on one side the sea rolls onto the shore with high waves, on the other there is complete calm. That is why the Long Spit is so popular among windsurfers. Here you can always find the right wind and the right wave.

The beaches of the spit are composed of small shell rock mixed with river sand. This mineral composition makes staying on the shore not only pleasant, but also beneficial for health. Sometimes people find medicinal mud outlets in the sea. Therefore, you can often find vacationers smeared from head to toe in a black and blue mass.

Recreation infrastructure

As already written above, the village of Dolzhanskaya is located at the very beginning of the spit, on the mainland. It is a triangle with a pointed end. Therefore, in the village, all housing, one way or another, is located close to the sea. But if you want to hear the sound of the waves, and from both sides, you have only one place left to look for housing - Dolzhanskaya Spit.

Holidays in the village, as we see, are very diverse. Those who cannot live without modern conveniences find housing in the village. There is a market (food and clothing), shops, cafes and restaurants, a pharmacy, ATMs, entertainment for children and adults, a night club, and a tennis court. And those who want to get away from the noisy crowds of vacationers will find nature untouched by civilization on the Dolgaya Spit. There are at least ten campsites on the dune, made of shell rock. At the very edge of the spit, as its continuation with a dotted line, there are several islands. They are inhabited only by seabirds. A great place for a romantic beach holiday.

Attractions

The main thing that attracts tourists to Dolzhanskaya Spit is the Sea of Azov. What could be better than the expanses of water stretching on both sides of deserted shell beaches? But you need to remember that it is declared landscape. So foresters treat fires and tents in an unspecified place very strictly. In the village of Dolzhanskaya, founded by Ukrainian settlers, there is a museum of Cossack life. In the nearby city of Yeisk, a vacationer nostalgic for city entertainment will find everything he wants. But the village itself can satisfy the information hunger. In the spring, the Dolzhansky Races are held there, at the end of July - the A-ZOV dance music festival, and in September - surfing competitions.

Housing in the village of Dolzhanskaya. Private sector proposals

No one lives permanently on the spit, tormented by winter storms and prone to erosion. The village is located on the mainland, protected from the winds from the sea by a pine grove. The most popular housing is located in the part of the village where the Dolzhanskaya Spit begins. The private sector offers are very diverse both in price and in services. There are excellent guest houses where vacationers are accommodated in cozy houses with a separate entrance. A lot of private housing is for rent on Chapaeva, Pushkin, Kalinin, and Delegatskaya streets. At the same time, there is an interesting feature: rooms and houses on the side of the Taganrog Estuary are cheaper. On Primorskaya Street, housing with the same amenities is much more expensive.

Dolzhanskaya Spit: bases, boarding houses, hotels

Fans of organized recreation will also not be offended. There are also boarding houses with a large territory in the village. The most demanding clients will be satisfied with their stay at the resort hotel “Na Kalinina”. It has two buildings, a swimming pool, a sauna, a closed parking lot, a children's playground, and a shady courtyard. There is also a wonderful resort hotel “At Diana’s” on Chapaeva Street. Swimming pool, dining room, spacious green area, parking - this is not a complete list of services. offer accommodation in budget summer houses. As for food, Dolzhanskaya Spit offers many options here too. You can cook it yourself. In most private sector offers, services include a shared kitchen with a set of dishes. In some resort hotels, breakfast is included in the room price. And in all of them you can agree with the owners on meals: half or full board.

Dolzhanskaya Spit: prices

Holidays on the Sea of Azov were and remain budgetary. Housing can be rented starting from three hundred rubles per person per day. Prices at campsites are even lower - from 150 rubles per car. Kuban fruits are very cheap, especially at the end of the season. Prices in cafes and restaurants are average for the country.

The most popular option is the private sector, but the walk to the sea is not very close, from 15 minutes or more, depending on the distance from the sea.

Many different offers can be found on the website avito.ru.

There we found a house that we liked. We booked a date in advance and paid a deposit of 2,000 rubles 2 months in advance. Rent per day was 2500 rubles.

The house was large, 4 bedrooms, a large living room, a gazebo with a barbecue. On the site, the owners equipped a corner for children (sandbox, swing, slide). No one bothered us, the owners were very responsive and friendly.

This option turned out to be the most convenient and cost-effective for our family.

The house was located 5 minutes walk from the center (less than a minute by car). The sea is also 3 minutes away by car.

Where to eat: cafes, markets, shops

There are no special problems with food in Dolzhanskaya, even if you are traveling with a child, you will always find baby food (if you need special food, it is better to bring your own) and other goods.

Cafes and small restaurants are located in different areas of the village. But there are few really good places; in some places the food is not tasty, in others there are problems with service.

Popular among vacationers are:

  • Cafe-bar “Chateau” (Pushkin St., 52a). There is a cafe-bar and a dining room (in the next room) with lower prices.
  • Cafe “Voyage” (Delegatskaya str., 2d). The food is delicious, prices are average.
  • Cafe-bar “Villa-Ribba” (Oktyabrskaya str., 290). Caucasian and Russian cuisine, children's menu. The food is delicious, there is a good selection of drinks at the bar, large portions.

Of course, eating out every day is expensive. The average check for a three-course lunch for one person will cost 1000-1400 rubles during peak season.

Many local residents also sell ready-made food (pies, smoked fish, shish kebab, boiled corn); in some houses, the owners will prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner for a small amount.

It's much cheaper to cook it yourself. In our case, this was the best option, since the family is large (4 adults and children 1.5 and 13 years old).

For vegetables, fruits, meat and fish, it is better to go to the market - there is a large selection, the products are fresh, the sellers are friendly (it is at the market, in other stores, that out of habit, a defensive reaction to service appears).

Dairy products are of excellent quality, and their prices are much lower than in Moscow and the region. It is worth noting that some fruits and vegetables are still imported. Local products include mainly grapes, pears and plums. watermelons, melons. Local Kuban tomatoes are rare because watering them is very expensive. Most likely you will be offered imported ones, but also very tasty.

There is also a Kuban wine shop on the same street as the market. In addition to draft wine, they sell beer and spirits. You can try everything before you buy. Prices for wine depend on the variety, on average - 150 rubles per liter.

But we were unlucky with homemade wine; we bought it from my grandmother on the street without tasting it (120 rubles per liter), opened it at home, and felt such an unpleasant smell that we had to pour out the entire bottle.

Beaches

The beaches are so wide and long that there is enough space for everyone - both children and adults. Mostly small shell rock is found on the beaches, so it is better for children to wear swimming trunks so that shell rock particles do not stick to their butts.

It’s interesting for kids to look at the sand and shells, and they can also make Easter cakes, just like in a regular sandbox. It is better to bring your own toys, as the prices for them are higher here.

The entrance to the sea is very smooth, the bottom of the water is sandy, there are no algae. The sea is shallow and warms up quickly, so it’s perfect to relax here with a child.

Local residents on the beach sell pies, hot corn (50 rubles/piece) and waffle rolls with condensed milk (60 rubles).

There is not much entertainment, but there is a choice:

  • Banana (250r/person)
  • Cheesecake (250 RUR/person)
  • Jetski (100r/min)
  • Trampoline

At the very end of the spit, adults are offered kitesurfing and windsurfing. Be sure to provide instructions, introduce safety precautions, the instructor constantly monitors the actions and gives advice.

The peak of the spit is not intended for swimming, as indicated by the large information board on the shore. It is very windy here, dangerous whirlpools can form under the water, there is no beach as such.

It’s uncomfortable to relax with small children, but you should definitely visit this place, if only for the sake of curiosity.

The rest of the beaches in Dolzhanskaya are monitored, but it is still better to wear slippers, as you can step on dry thorns.

Leisure and entertainment for children

There is practically no entertainment in Dolzhanskaya. You won't find any cinemas, clubs or children's events here. Although we did not consider this a drawback, but rather the opposite, it was quiet and calm. Many people like to sit with a fishing rod on the beach.

If we needed entertainment and impressions, we went to Yeysk (36 km from Dolzhanskaya).

Along the coast of Yeisk there is a park named after Ivan Poddubny, there is a lot of entertainment for adults and children of any age.

  • Poddubny Museum
  • petting zoo
  • Aquarium
  • Ferris wheel
  • Roller coaster
  • Machines on the control panel
  • Trampolines
  • Karting
  • Aquapark

Average ticket prices are 100-300 rubles.

The prices for the water park are a little high, the slides are faded, the stairs are rusty, but still, nothing sticks or scratches. Therefore, if you don't find fault, you can have a good time.

Minus - the water in the children's pool is not heated. When we got there it was much colder than in the adult pools.

There is a bar on site, but there is nothing to feed the child. They offer snacks, burgers and drinks. Tea/coffee comes from bags, and the prices are unreasonably high. In general, it’s better to bring your own food for a snack or have lunch after visiting the slides. There are many cafes and restaurants on the embankment; in any of them you can find dishes for children. For example, we had lunch at the Beluga bar and ordered:

  • 4 chicken soups
  • 2 shawarmas
  • 4 servings of rolls
  • 2 ice creams
  • 2 Caesar salads
  • 2 bottles of beer
  • 2 lemonades

Lunch cost 3,500 rubles. The portions are small, but the food is delicious. There was practically nothing for children; we took chicken soup (in fact, chicken broth with an egg), but we also had a jar of baby food with us. Cafes and restaurants on the embankment are very expensive, but this is true everywhere.

Various excursions are offered on the embankment:

  • Trip to Rostov-on-Don (1500 rub.)
  • Tour to Crimea (9800 rub.)
  • Kuban evenings in Dolzhanskaya (1300 rub.)
  • Trip to Khanskoye Lake (RUB 1,300)

People go to Khanskoye Lake for healing mud. And no matter what they tell you, this dirt can be found everywhere. Even in Dolzhanskaya itself. Walking along the beach you can come across small estuaries where you can pick up dirt for free.

We smeared ourselves on the beach, and went to the lake by car, picking up dirt for free.

Of course, you can buy mud, but it is sold in small packages and in order to completely smear yourself you will need to shell out a decent amount.

You need to go to Dolzhanka by car, since the private sector is far from the sea, and the tourist centers (if you live there) are far from the center of the village, where shops and pharmacies are located. And it’s also interesting to just drive around and see the beauty.

If you are traveling by car, stock up on gasoline in Yeisk, as there is only one gas station in Dolzhanskaya itself. When we were on vacation at 95, there was no gasoline, so we had to fill up with 92. The locals themselves try not to use this gas station; they say that the quality of the fuel is not very good.

Bring with you everything you need so that you don’t have to buy something locally; some groups of goods are much more expensive here than in your region, because tourists in Dolzhanka are the main source of income.

If you have not yet chosen where you will live and want to save money when booking, we recommend using the RoomGuru service. Firstly, it contains hotels, apartments and guest houses from many different booking systems, so you won’t miss out on a worthwhile option. Secondly, you can immediately compare prices for one place in different services and book where it is cheaper (this is not always Booking!).

Rest in Dolzhanka.
The village of Dolzhanskaya is located in the Yeisk district of the Krasnodar Territory, 40 km west of the city of Yeisk, at the base of the Dolgaya sand spit. The coast of the village is washed from the northeast by the waters of the Taganrog Bay, and from the southwest by the open Sea of Azov. The village is very clean, neatly whitewashed village houses, surrounded by gardens and vegetable gardens. The courtyards and paths are covered with small white shell rock, so they glow with the light reflected from the shell particles. The village is small, its population is about 8 thousand people. In common parlance the village is called Dolzhanka. In Dolzhanka there is a market, a large shopping center, many small colorful shops, a couple of supermarkets that sell a standard, but quite extensive range of goods and products.

The fauna and flora of this region are amazing and diverse. In the seventies of the last century, a pine forest was founded on the Dolgaya spit. The trees have already grown, and now their phytoncides, mixing with the steppe aromas, give an amazing healing effect. Nearby are deciduous groves with low, twisting trees and lush grasses. Beyond the village, endless steppe expanses begin. The coastal steppe fills the air with the magical aromas of herbs, flowers and the chirping of cicadas. Air is relaxing and calming.

Dolzhanskaya is located far from polluting industrial enterprises and large ports, so the sea water in the area of the Dolgaya Spit is the cleanest on the entire coast of the Azov Sea. A few kilometers from the end of the Long Spit there is a group of islands.

The mild marine microclimate is ideal for children and the elderly, eliminating the risk of developing colds and other diseases. The popularity of Dolzhanka among local residents can be judged by the endless flow of cars moving towards Dolzhanka during the summer months, on weekends. On Sunday evening the flow of cars moves in the opposite direction. Mostly residents of the Krasnodar Territory and Rostov Region go to the sea for the weekend and spend the night.

Dolzhansky climate is temperate continental, with mild winters and hot summers. Summer is very warm. The average temperature in July reaches +24?C. Air humidity in the warm season is 68%. Western and southwestern winds blow, resulting in dry and clear weather. There is always a light breeze at sea, so the heat is easily tolerated. Winters here are mild, so stable snow cover does not form. Annual precipitation falls primarily in the form of rain. Even in winter it rains more often than it snows. The average January temperature is?4?C. The beginning of autumn coincides with the beginning of the velvet season, when the weather is warm and sunny. The average water temperature is +19-25? C. In mid-May, the water temperature already reaches 20-24?C, in June-August – 24-28?C, and in September – 20-24?C. The local climate does not exhaust tourists with rainy weather. Precipitation here usually falls in winter and spring, and in summer vacationers can enjoy the bright sun.

The Dolgaya Spit stretches 11 kilometers into the sea, separating the Taganrog Bay and the Sea of Azov. At its base its width is about 5 km; moving away from the land, it narrows and turns into a dotted line of small islands made of shell rock. On both sides of the spit there are gently sloping sandy and shell beaches. On the southwestern side the width of the beaches is 15-20 meters, on the northeastern coast the width of the beaches ranges from 3 to 10 meters.

From the Taganrog Bay side, the length of the beach to the end of the spit is about 10 kilometers. From the Sea of Azov side, due to the bend of the coastline, the length of the beach is 12 kilometers. Depending on the direction of the wind, choose the side of the spit for rest. If the waves are raging from the Sea of Azov, then from the Taganrog Bay the sea will be clear and calm, and vice versa. For a beach holiday, choose the quiet side, the windy side is suitable for surfing.

“The Azov Sea is shallow” - this is not about Dolzhanka, the entrance to the sea here is much deeper than on the beach in Yeisk, here you can feel the depth increasing with every step. Due to the rapid increase in sea depth, parents traveling with small children should choose where to stay more carefully. Perhaps the best option would be Yeysk.

Windsurfing in Dolzhanskaya.. Dolzhanka has long been a very popular destination among Russian windsurfers and kitesurfers. Dolzhanka is steadily turning into the All-Russian Windsurfing Center. Both professionals and simply adherents of this sport come here. People come here in May for the “Serfomai” festival and in September for the “Dolzhanka-DA!” competition, which is organized by the local recreation center “Serfpriyut”. The base has its own rental station and offers storage space for personal equipment. There is also a windsurfing school here, all of whose instructors have the appropriate certificates. In September, northern winds begin to blow on Dolzhanka, which can last up to two weeks. The Azov Sea begins to cool, the velvet season begins - there is wind, sun, but not as hot as in August. The wind in September is quite strong - from 10 m/s, and every year there are more and more sails and kites.

Things to do in Dolzhanskaya . Along the entire coast of the Dolzhanskaya Spit, and especially at its beginning near the forest, the water attraction industry is constantly operating: this ranges from pedal boat rentals to water parachutes and pleasure boats. The Long Spit is especially popular among surfers and kitesurfers. Fans of this type of recreation regularly gather here. Competitions are held among both amateurs and professionals. The constant fresh wind and the possibility of surfing on both the windward and leeward sides of the spit make Dolzhanka a favorite vacation spot for surfers. Prices are significantly lower than at such resorts in the Krasnodar Territory as Gelendzhik, Anapa, Sochi. There is a bowling alley, billiard tables, a tennis court, tennis tables, trampolines, children's table hockey, pentball, children's beach activities, etc. There are restaurants, cafes, canteens, and snack bars on all beaches.

Treatment in Dolzhanskaya . Despite the fact that there are no mud baths in Dolzhanka, quite often on the beach you can see people covered in healing mud, which is so rich on the coast of the Azov Sea. While this dirt lies, literally, under our feet. Muds are truly unique. In terms of their composition, which has developed over hundreds of years, they are superior to the known mud of the Dead Sea. The effects of mud cannot be called anything other than a miracle. The healing properties of mud are countless; they smear all parts of the body with it, no matter what hurts. The mud of Lake Dolzhanskoe is very helpful in treating diseases of the joints, bones and muscles, the cardiovascular system, and skin diseases. Mud lake in Dolzhanka is located along the coast of Taganrog Bay.

History of Dolzhanskaya. The settlement of such a fertile region began in the 19th century by runaway serfs and convicts. They were taken to numerous small fish factories located along the entire shore of the Azov Sea, which was so generous with fish. There was a particularly large concentration of these factories on the sandy Spit of Chebakle (Yeiskaya), Dolgaya (Dolzhanskaya) and Kamyshevatskaya. Since 1792, by the Highest permission of Catherine II, the Zaporozhye Cossacks from both sides (from the Crimea and across the Don) began settling the Azov lands from Kerch to the Yeya River (Eyskoe Fortification). The time has come to strengthen the southern borders of Rus'. A detachment of two thousand Black Sea Cossacks under the leadership of Koshevoy Ataman Chepega became a fortress on Chebakl (Yeisk Spit). The protection of the Long Spit from the Yeisk garrison command was entrusted to Sergeant Elizov. Cossack detachments protected the working people from the attacks of the Circassians and Crimean Tatars. But according to the Highest Order, a year later the Cossacks went south to the Kuban River and founded the center of the Black Sea Cossacks there, Ekaterinodar.
For fifty years, the great revival in the north of the Kuban region fell silent, until the development of trade and fishing again brought enterprising people here en masse. The village of Dolzhanskaya was founded in 1848 by the Cossacks. The population of the area has increased dramatically. This settlement did not escape the invasion of foreign invaders. But three hundred Cossacks of the 45th Don Regiment of the village of Dolzhanskaya did not allow the English squadron to land its troops on the Dolgaya Spit and the squadron went to Rostov. After the Crimean War, the Black Sea Cossacks began to be called the Kuban Cossack Army. In the post-revolutionary and post-war period, the local Cossacks were mainly engaged in fishing and agriculture.
Dolzhanka began its development as a resort place in the 80s of the last century. Recreation centers, boarding houses and pioneer camps appeared on the coast of the Sea of Azov and the Taganrog Gulf, mainly as the property of large factories in central Russia. More intensive development of Dolzhanka as a resort of regional significance began with the collapse of the USSR. Especially in the last 6-7 years, there has been the greatest revival of the entire infrastructure of this area, which in turn contributes to the annual increase in vacationers.

Sights of Dolzhanskaya . There are few attractions in the village. The main attraction is the Dolgaya Spit, a unique natural reserve that juts out into the Sea of Azov for more than 10 kilometers. There is a healing mud lake in Dolzhanka. In its structure, the mud of Lake Dolzhanskoe is similar to the mud of lakes Saki, Mainak (Crimea), and Lake Tambukan (Caucasian Mineral Waters). The village has a small local history museum, which is supported by the village residents with great love.

Accommodation in Dolzhanskaya . With a modest but rapidly developing infrastructure, Dolzhanka has many options for comfortable accommodation for every taste and budget. In Dolzhanskaya, more than 10 campsites, one large guest house, about 15 recreation centers, 3 hotels, one children's camp and several boarding houses are ready to receive vacationers. The private sector, hospitable and enterprising, is not far behind.

In the center of Dolzhanka there is also a bus station, from where you can go by bus to Yeisk, Starominskaya station, Rostov-on-Don,
