The largest resort in the Emirates, which has an ancient unique history, the center of the “black gold” (oil) industry, an oasis in the middle of the desert, replete with fountains and interesting buildings of various styles of architecture. Parks Abu Dhabi It’s amazing how beautiful, 90 amazing fountains in the middle of the desert are a challenge to nature. It’s not for nothing that this resort is called a park city. Given the general water shortage in the country, Abu Dhabi truly looks like an earthly paradise, and you will be surprised by such a fantastic natural paradox. However, tourists come here precisely to be surprised. Such luxury, chic, wealth, impeccable service, architectural extravaganza and year-round beach eden, like in Abu Dhabi, cause delight and are remembered for a lifetime.
The pride of Abu Dhabi is its ultra-fashionable skyscrapers and comfortable modern hotels, where active life takes place day and night, as entertainment complexes, sports clubs and comfortable beaches are concentrated here.

Welcome to the Family Park or Water Park in Abu Dhabi, where there are plenty of exciting activities for both adults and little ones.
The cosmopolitan resort of Abu Dhabi is a synergy of luxury, oriental fairy tales and fashionable beach holidays, and you definitely need to visit here at least once in your life.

The third largest resort in the Emirates and the cultural center of the country, because the most important historical and architectural monuments of the Emirates are concentrated here, it is not for nothing that UNESCO included Sharjah in the list of the greatest capitals of the globe. Therefore, to combine a beach holiday with learning about the history of the UAE and getting to know the Arab masterpieces of ancient architecture, you need to go to Sharjah. By the way, this emirate is the only one washed by the waters of both the Gulf of Oman and the Persian Gulf, and for a beach holiday destination this is a great temptation. In this regard, many tourists cannot deny themselves a beach holiday in Sharjah, even despite the strict “prohibition law” (alcohol is not sold even in hotels) and local strict religious mores. Meanwhile, these inconveniences are offset by attractive prices for tours to Sharjah; as you know, holidays here are financially more profitable than in other emirates.

The most popular beaches of Sharjah: Al Khan and Al Corniche, clean, well-maintained, surrounded by palm trees, with impeccable service and gentle warm waves.
Once you've enjoyed your beach holiday, switch to the entertainment at Al Jazeera Park, and then admire the Sharjah National Park, where the green Arabian Eden stretches over 63 hectares - with ponds, barbecue areas, playgrounds, cafes with picturesque terraces, attractions and the famous "tunnel" fear." The main highlight of Sharjah National Park is a miniature of the emirate, made in an interactive style. Holidays in the resort of Sharjah are full of exotic surprises, cultural monuments and the delight of beach activities.

A young, amazingly beautiful resort on the shores of the Indian Ocean, quiet, green, replete with mountains, waterfalls, mineral springs and wonderful beaches on the shores of the Gulf of Oman.
Fujairah is considered the best place for diving. Venerable fans of scuba diving gather here, but beginners can always find a place “on the bench” at local diving schools. So, if you have never been under water before, but are passionately dreaming about it, welcome to Fujairah. Another local “trick” is bullfights, which take place on Fridays on the city embankment.

It is recommended to combine a beach holiday in Fujairah with a visit to the healing springs for which the emirate is famous: the Ain Al Ghamur hot spring, which arose on the site of an old volcano and a spring in the Ain Al Madhab Gardens. The sulfur baths at Ain Al Ghamour cure many diseases and restore beauty to the body, and several luxury hotels operate on the territory of the famous Gardens. As you can see, the Fujairah resort is unique, because here you can combine a beach holiday with treatment and SPA procedures.

Umm Al Kuwait

A tiny resort in the UAE, occupying only 1% of the country’s territory. Umm Al Kuwait famous for its giant date garden, surrounded by picturesque dunes. Local beaches are a godsend for lovers of windsurfing and yachting. This Arabian resort is home to the largest and most famous Sailing Club in the UAE, as well as the legendary Horse Riding Academy. The coastline of the resort is indented and therefore there are many wonderful cozy lagoons on the beaches, where it is so nice to hide from prying eyes, especially if you are a romantic couple on their honeymoon.

The country's northernmost but most fertile resort, located on both sides of the bay and connected by a bridge. In ancient times, there was the city of Julfar, which became famous as a pearl trading center. Tourists have not yet fully grasped all the delights of Ras Al Khaimah, but those who have visited here once dream of returning again. The fact is that the close proximity of the mountains to the coast creates a special mild climate in this resort, thanks to which the region has lush natural vegetation, unusual for the Emirates. When you relax on the green beaches of Ras Al Khaimah, you get the impression that you are on fabulous islands.

Ajman

Ajman is the only emirate without oil fields, but it is famous for the production of single-masted dhow ships. The area of Ajman is small; out of the total 600 kilometers of coastline in the emirates, only 8 belong to Ajman, but the sand here is snow-white. The presence of mineral springs, comfortable beaches, shopping malls, museums and architectural monuments make Ajman

The quiet, cozy provincial resort of Khorfakkan adorns the eastern part of the emirates and is famous for fishing, diving, palm thickets and strawberry plantations. Fishermen from all over the world come here to their heart's content to “hunt” king fish, tuna and sea bass, and even see sharks. Meanwhile, in the city itself there is no special entertainment, except that you can take a walk in the local green Corniche Park, try to see the ruins of ancient houses hidden under the water surface of the Rifais Dam, admire the main architectural pride of the resort - the Palace of the Ruler, located on the hill, wander through the souvenir shops and taste Arabic cuisine in colorful coastal restaurants. Avid fishermen who strive for the exotic and sedate married couples who value silence, uncrowded beaches and pristine nature come to relax.

Regardless of whether you are heading to the UAE as a family, alone, in a group of young people or as a romantic couple, there is a place for everyone in this amazing country, since any of the resorts in the emirates will satisfy your expectations in terms of weather, conditions and service.

The UAE is a rather secretive state, and in order to choose which place to go on vacation, you will have to spend some time collecting information. The country's capital, Dubai, has long been the center of the intersection of many trade routes. Here is the world-famous gold market, old palaces and fortifications, beautiful architectural structures and amazing glass skyscrapers. The resorts of the UAE are also no less famous throughout the world. Let's try to find a place to stay.

Some information about the country

The administrative center of the Emirates, Abu Dhabi, is famous for many attractions, including a unique observation deck, from which a wonderful bird's eye view of the capital opens. And below you can see all the beauty and charm of Sheikh Zayed’s residence, Al Khosi Palace. Let's talk a little about other cities. Sharjah ranks third in size and is an ideal place to relax on snow-white sand, on the shores of the azure sea.

Ajman - shipbuilding and the fishing industry are well developed here, Arab single-masted ships are designed and built. Tourists use them to cross the sea. Lovers of outdoor recreation come to Umm al-Quwain, as there is a real wild reserve here. There is also a riding academy. Ras al-Khaimah is famous for its fascinating archeological finds and the presence of hot springs. If you like a holiday in the mountains, you will be interested in Al Ain, which is located at the very foot of the Hajar Mountains.

UAE Resorts: Dubai

In this article we will take a closer look at this main resort in the country. It is visited by tens of thousands of tourists, and their goal is not only to learn the secrets of the East, but also to visit beautiful, low-priced shopping centers, look at magnificent, one-of-a-kind skyscrapers and appreciate the ultra-modern infrastructure. This city manages to combine excellent hotels, a wonderful resort area, luxurious beaches, etc. with amazing national traditions that are still preserved. The Emirate of Dubai is territorially and physically divided into the southern part - Bur Dubai, and the northern part - the Deira region. They are connected to each other by tunnels and bridges. They have everything you need for life: hotels, bazaars, banks, hospitals, shopping centers, mosques, etc. If you are looking for the best resorts in the UAE, this city alone will be enough. After all, it is here that the most interesting equestrian competitions and camel racing are held every year.

The Dubai resort area of Jumeirah has excellent golf and yacht clubs where you can have great fun. Jumeirah is actually the most fashionable area of the city. There is a zoo, beautiful beaches, separate playgrounds and a super water park called Wild Wadi, located next to the world-famous Burj Al Arab hotel.

The eighth wonder of the world - Palm Jumeirah

If you are thinking about which resorts in the UAE are the best, then this is one of them. A real artificial island, thanks to which the wildest and most complex dreams of engineers were realized. It is built in the shape of a regular palm tree, which consists of a trunk and 17 individual branches. Each of them contains offices, apartments and private villas. This island is connected by a tunnel with a special protective barrier “crescent”. It is home to several five-star hotels such as Rixos The Palm, Zabeel Saray, Atlantis The Palm, One & Only The Palm.

These hotels have their own beaches, located on the inner side of the artificial object, so they never have more or less strong waves. By taxi or using the free shuttle you can quickly get to the city center.

Sharjah - the emirate of two seas

When considering UAE resorts for your holiday, pay attention to Sharjah - the third largest emirate, there are seven in total. This is the only one that is located simultaneously on two different coasts. The capital of the emirate of the same name is located on the shores of the Persian Gulf, and the villages of Daba al-Hasn, Kor Fakkan and Kalba are on the coast of the Indian Ocean. Sharjah borders Fujairah, Ajman and Dubai, where free transfers are provided. Dubai's shopping centers can be reached in just 20 minutes this way.

The local landscape is very diverse: it includes mountainous coastal ranges, green picturesque oases, and endless orange deserts. Just remember that you don’t need to appear in swimsuits on public beaches, use paid ones - at hotels. Alcohol is not sold here, but if you really want to, you can buy it at a duty-free store and drink it in your hotel room.

Ras Al Khaimah

If you are interested in beach resorts in the UAE, then choosing the best one is a rather difficult task. Firstly, there are a huge number of them for such a not very large state. And secondly, they compete with each other in terms of the quality of services provided and comfort for tourists. The emirate of Ras al-Khaimah is the northernmost of all, stretching to the border with Oman along the Persian Gulf. Already upon entering it, a clear sea, palm groves with large reservoirs and the beauty of the Hadjar Mountains will open to your eyes. The entire coastal area is filled with luxury beach resorts. These places are good for families to relax, as the entrance to the sea is gentle. On the coast there is beautiful white sand. Luxury hotels here are much cheaper than in Dubai. Nearby is the Iceland water park. Many tourists come to the Hutt Springs spa resort, recently discovered in the mountainous town of Hutt.

Let's figure out where it is better to relax in the UAE by the sea. What beaches are there at the resorts, what to do and what to see.

Beach holiday in Dubai

Where is the best place to relax in the UAE if you want to combine a beach holiday with shopping and excursions? Dubai is a versatile city and will suit you best, especially if you are there for the first time. It is convenient to go on excursions to other emirates, and in the city itself there is something to see on your own - we visited the beaches, Deira and the Old City, singing fountains and the Dubai Mall, and the aquarium. In Dubai you can live on different budgets - from quite modest to luxurious.

Shopping in Dubai is wonderful, there are plenty of shopping centers. In addition to the famous Dubai Mall (which can be considered a separate attraction), visit the Dubai Marina Mall, Mall of the Emirates, Outlet Mall Dubai, as well as the markets in Deira.

Dubai Mall. The famous aquarium can be viewed for free, but only partially, from the outside.

Interesting video! TV presenter and blogger Anton Ptushkin takes a video tour of the rich life in Dubai:

For those for whom it is important to live by the sea, we advise you to settle in Jumeirah - this is where there are great long beaches. In Jumeirah there is the Burj Al Arab sail hotel and the Atlantis water park hotel. Another beach area in Dubai is Marina Beach, a local Manhattan. Expensive yachts, glass skyscrapers, very beautiful.

When asked where to relax in the UAE with a child, the answer is the same - the best place is Dubai. The beaches there are good, the entrance to the water is smooth, and the infrastructure is developed. There are water parks and amusement parks for children - Wild Wadi and Wonderland.

Beach holidays in Abu Dhabi

Some believe that in the UAE it is better to relax in the capital - Abu Dhabi. It is in many ways reminiscent of Dubai: the same ultra-modern city with skyscrapers, there are also good beaches and shopping centers, and you can go on excursions.

If you just want to lazily lie on the beach, then Abu Dhabi has everything for this. The beaches are good and suitable even for small children.

What to do and what to see? Be sure to visit the sixth largest mosque in the world, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Mosque. This marble shrine of 82 domes and 1000 columns can accommodate more than 40 thousand worshipers. Take your children to Ferrari World, Al Mushrif Children's Garden and Hili Fun City amusement parks, as well as Waterworld water park - lots of fun and delight are guaranteed!

Beach holiday in Sharjah

Some tourists believe that in the UAE it is better to relax at sea in the emirate of Sharjah. This is the cultural center of the country and an ideal place for a relaxed family holiday. There is no noisy entertainment here, like in Dubai, but there is a lot of greenery and excellent beaches. It’s also cheaper to live in Sharjah, and Dubai is about 30 minutes to 1 hour by bus or taxi! True, there may be traffic jams in the morning and evening, take this into account.

The beaches are clean and the entrance to the sea is smooth. The bottom is sandy and flat, so you can relax in Sharjah even with an infant - just like almost everywhere else in the UAE.

However, Sharjah has strict laws - you can sunbathe in a swimsuit only on hotel beaches, where entry is paid if you do not live in this hotel. Men are not allowed to come to public beaches on Mondays.

Alcohol is also prohibited, but you can drink in the hotels. For some, this is, on the contrary, a plus.

What to see? This is the oldest emirate, so there are many museums here - archaeological, ethnographic, historical. For children - Al Majas green park, Desert Park, national park, Adventureland theme park, oceanarium and water park.

Beach holiday in Fujairah

Here's where it's best to relax in the UAE for families with children or lovers of solitude! The emirate of Fujairah is very, even too calm and quiet - mass tourism has not yet reached here and there is no noisy entertainment. But in the capital of the emirate and in the resorts next to it there are many good hotels, including all-inclusive ones.

Snoopy Island, Fujairah (Photo © nate2b / flickr.com)

It’s worth going to Fujairah just for a beach holiday, snorkeling and diving. The emirate has wide and clean sandy beaches - all owned by hotels. The best beaches are in the north, where it is better to snorkel and dive. Tourists prefer the beaches of Al Aqah Beach, Dibba Al Fujairah and Shark Island. The climate is milder, and you can relax at any time of the year, except summer.

What to see? See the fort and old city, Fujairah Museum and Madhab Ethnographic Park, mosque and

Heritage Village. Visit gardens, waterfalls and healing springs.

Beach holiday in Ajman

Ajman is an alternative to beachfront Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. Yes, there are no amazing skyscrapers, grand mosques or amusement parks here. However, if you just want a calm and relatively inexpensive holiday in the UAE by the sea, then this emirate is for you.

The beaches are clean, with fine white sand. Private closed beaches are well cleaned and have all the infrastructure there. Many hotels, cafes and restaurants.

Another advantage is that the laws are not as strict as in Sharjah, plus you can buy alcohol in a bar, restaurant or store.

Things to do? The list of entertainment is meager: go to the historical museum and ancient fort, admire the mosques and shipyard, visit camel racing and mineral springs. If you get bored, go to Dubai or Sharjah - they are nearby.

Beach holiday in Ras Al Khaimah

In this little popular among tourists, but very colorful emirate of the UAE, you can have a good rest - there are the same long beaches as anywhere else on the Persian Gulf. And also - a beautiful canyon of the Hajar Mountains, sand dunes, desert villages, ancient valleys (wadis) with oases and archaeological sites, mangroves and picturesque hills.

There are no skyscrapers or luxury malls here yet, but there is a lot of nature and cultural and historical attractions. The infrastructure is developed - hotels, shops, cafes, there is enough of everything. You can stay in regular hotels on the first line, or in non-standard accommodation - for example, live in a nature reserve or in a Bedouin tent in the middle of the desert. In general, if you are bored with other emirates and don’t know where to go on vacation in the UAE, come to Ras al-Khaimah - a very authentic emirate!

Beach holiday in Umm al-Quwain

Where else can you relax in the UAE in a varied way? The emirate of Umm al-Haiwain offers more than just a relaxing beach holiday. There is a lot of entertainment for almost all categories of tourists. The infrastructure is very developed, but the resort is quiet and calm.

What to do and what to see? If you are interested in historical sites, see the excavations of the cities of Tel Abraq and Ad-Dur, an old fort with a museum and watchtowers, a 19th century mosque and a market. If you want an active tourist, try diving, sailing, windsurfing, horse riding or fishing. You can ride a catamaran, boat and water ski.

When is the best time to vacation in the UAE?

The Emirates has a dry subtropical climate and almost never rains. Starting in May, the heat is unbearable and lasts until September. Despite the fact that prices for tours decrease at this time, it is better not to travel to the UAE in the summer - the air temperature can exceed +50°C in the shade.

It is better to vacation in the UAE in October and November, when the thermometer drops to +30°C. Holiday prices during these months are the highest.

In December, January, February and March, the cost of tours decreases, as does the temperature - up to +25°C. The water also cools down a little, but for many this is not critical. In April, the heat gradually begins to return to the Emirates.

The great strategist Ostap Bender, if he had changed his mind about his beloved “white pants” Rio, would invariably be delighted with the United Arab Emirates - after all, the lion’s share of his four hundred relatively honest ways of taking money (exclusively from tourists and strictly within the law) is implemented here ). Judge for yourself: hotels located either on man-made islands or directly above the Formula 1 track - once again. Indoor ski resorts with penguins in the Arabian Desert and Middle Eastern heat - two. Shopping festivals with discounts of up to 90% and a million US dollar raffle, coupled with dozens of shopping malls - three. The ability to steer all vehicles known to mankind - from sleek camels to Ferrari cars - is four. And finally, five - just a very high-quality beach holiday in an atmosphere of fabulous comfort. For an appropriate price, of course.

But there are already 7 emirates in the UAE, and a tourist, thirsty for relaxation, sits in front of us alone. Where to send a traveler, so as to take into account all his needs? Let's try to figure it out together.

Abu Dhabi

The largest and richest emirate, Abu Dhabi ranks second after Dubai in the number of entertainment and shopping centers and first in the number of cultural attractions. So, for lovers of excursions, this is a real haven. This is where the capital of the UAE is located - the city of Abu Dhabi. The emirate is located on the shores of the Persian Gulf, most of it is occupied by desert, in which the lush oasis of Liwa shines, and the coast is framed by a scattering of small islands. It is important to take into account that there is a prohibition law in the emirate; alcohol can only be purchased in hotels. In addition, smoking is prohibited here in any public places (including beaches).

Beaches

The beaches in Abu Dhabi are covered with fine white sand, the entry into the sea is smooth, but in some places there are steep, deep places. Most hotels on the coast have their own beaches. It is worth considering that the beaches of hotels located on the islands extend into the open sea, so sea disturbances are possible here. In the city, all the beaches open onto the channel between the mainland and the islands, so the water surface is always calm. Not all hotels have direct access to the beach - there is an embankment along the coast.

Hotel base

Most of the hotels in Abu Dhabi are 4* categories. 5-star hotels, as a rule, belong to well-known global chains and are designed for discerning tourists. There are also hotels of lower categories (1-3*), but these are mainly urban accommodation facilities.

pros

  • Clean and well-groomed streets, well-developed infrastructure.
  • Abu Dhabi is the greenest city in the UAE: there is a lot of vegetation and places to hide from the scorching desert sun.
  • The air temperature in the city is several degrees lower than outside it.
  • A large number of shopping centers, markets and shops: a haven for shopping lovers.
  • Low prices for services, goods and everything related to oil (car rental, gasoline, taxis, travel on public transport).
  • Most of the hotels are located on the coast in close proximity to the coastline.
  • In general, life in Abu Dhabi is more relaxed and relaxed than in Dubai.

Minuses

  • Most of the hotels are 4*. There are much fewer “fives” here, and “kopecks” and “threes” are located in the business district and are considered urban.
  • The public transport network is aimed only at local residents; tourists will have to travel by taxi.
  • City beaches in Abu Dhabi are somewhat better than those at hotels.
  • The strait that separates the city from the rest of the emirate and the large number of plants make the air in Abu Dhabi very humid, which can make it difficult for tourists to tolerate the heat.

Ajman

Ajman is the smallest of the emirates, located on the shores of the Persian Gulf, between Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain. It began to develop as a tourist center quite recently, but mainly those who work in neighboring emirates live here. In addition, this is the poorest emirate; no oil fields have been discovered here, which is why construction is proceeding extremely slowly. At the moment there are only about 10 hotels here, which is guaranteed to appeal to lovers of a calm, measured holiday. In addition, you can improve your health here: in the town of Masfut there are mineral springs famous throughout the Gulf countries, but there are no hotels near them. The main entertainments of the region are innocent - camel racing and dhow boat rides, which have been taking place here since time immemorial. But you can forget about night dancing in laser smoke.

Beaches

The beaches of Ajman are sandy, wide and uncrowded. The entry into the sea is smooth, the depth is shallow.

Hotel base

Most of the hotels are “three rubles”. The resort has only two 5-star hotels, one of them belongs to the Kempinski chain. There are also several 2* and 4* hotels.

pros

  • The city has retained its originality and has not yet turned into a faceless metropolis.
  • There is no “prohibition”: in the Holeinthewall store you can buy any foreign-made alcohol.
  • Lower prices than Dubai and Sharjah.
  • Sharjah with its developed infrastructure is only 10 km from Ajman.
  • A large amount of vegetation.
  • Low prices in shopping centers - Ajman has the most budget shopping in the UAE.

Minuses

  • You can only travel outside the city by taxi: there is no intercity bus service in Ajman.
  • The entertainment infrastructure is poorly developed; clubs and restaurants are available mainly on hotel premises. The only reasonable option is to go to neighboring Sharjah or Dubai.
  • The Ajman coastline stretches for only 16 km, so the choice of beach hotels here is very limited.

Dubai

Dubai is the most vibrant and democratic emirate, the second largest after Abu Dhabi. Located on the shores of the Persian Gulf between Abu Dhabi (in the south) and Sharjah (in the north). This is the most famous of the emirates, the most party-loving and Europeanized. Here, in general, everything is the best: expensive hotels, tall buildings, large shopping centers, international events... and prices for all this luxury.

Beaches

All beaches in Dubai are sandy with a very gentle slope into the sea. The best of them are the beaches of Jumeirah, with a wide strip of white sand and good infrastructure. Hotels, as a rule, have their own sections of the beach, but for an additional fee, many of them can be accessed by anyone - such open beaches are usually located at a distance from the hotel itself, so as not to disturb guests. In addition, there are two beach parks in Jumeirah: Al Mamzar Park and Jumeirah Beach Park, fully provided with the necessary infrastructure: restaurants, bars, shops, parking, sun loungers with umbrellas and other attributes. The city's beaches are very popular with locals, so they get very crowded at the end of the week. It is worth keeping in mind that some public beaches have days when only women and children are allowed to enter.

Hotel base

Dubai is famous, first of all, for its expensive hotels, which seem to compete with each other in pretentiousness and luxury. There are practically no hotels below 3*, but there are above 5* according to the unofficial classification. However, there are many budget options among them.

pros

  • Rich nightlife, a wide variety of entertainment, not only for adults, but also for children.
  • Low trade duties and, as a result, low prices in numerous shopping malls.
  • The most loyal of the emirates: the attitude towards traditional Islamic rules of behavior is not as demanding as in other emirates. In addition, you can freely buy alcoholic drinks here.

Minuses

  • Accommodation prices are higher than in neighboring emirates.
  • Most of the hotels are city hotels, however, almost all of them organize a transfer to the nearest beach.
  • The cuisine in the city's restaurants, regardless of their specificity, has a clear Arabic flavor. More or less authentic non-Arab dishes can only be tasted in hotels.

Ras al Khaimah

Ras Al Khaimah is the northernmost and greenest emirate. Thanks to the fertile soils, a large number of trees grow here. In the town of Hutt there are mineral hot springs and a balneological center.

One of the main attractions is the Ice Land water park, designed in the shape of an ice country. Here is the world's largest artificial waterfall, whose height is more than 35 m.

Beaches

The beaches in Ras al Khaimah are covered with golden sand, the coastline is quite wide, and the entrance to the sea is gentle. There are many water sports centers on the beaches, but this is not the best region for diving and snorkeling.

Hotel base

There are quite a few hotels in Ras al Khaimah, but all categories are represented: you can choose from a low-star city hotel to a luxurious five-star complex.

pros

  • A large number of historical attractions.
  • Milder and cooler climate than other emirates; plenty of greenery.
  • The presence of hotels of all categories - everyone can choose a place according to their taste and income. Most of the hotels are located on the coast.

Minuses

  • Despite the absence of Prohibition, the nightlife here is very sparse, there are almost no clubs and discos.

Umm Al Quwain

Umm Al Quwain is a small emirate 50 km from Dubai. Focused on a relaxing family holiday and a variety of sports. In particular, the famous riding academy is located here and spectacular sporting competitions are held. The entire coast of the emirate is indented with lagoons, so the water in the sea is very calm. By the way, here is one of the largest water parks in the Middle East, Dreamland.

Beaches

The beaches of the emirate are located in secluded bays. There are few waves, golden fine sand and a gentle entrance to the sea, so the beaches of Umm al-Quwain are perfect for swimming for children.

Hotel base

In Umm al-Quwain, about a dozen hotels welcome tourists, all of them have a 3-4* category, there are no “five” hotels here. The most interesting are Umm Al Quwain Beach 4*, built near the water park, and Flamingo Beach Resort 3* - an excellent option for lovers of sea fishing.

pros

  • There is an opportunity to look at the original life of UAE citizens.
  • A very quiet emirate, there is no city noise and bustle like in Dubai or Sharjah.
  • A large number of historical and architectural monuments.
  • Dubai's vibrant city life is just 50 km away.

Minuses

  • Poor nightlife.
  • Intercity transport does not reach the city itself, so it is better to use a taxi.
  • There are very few hotels, most of them are “three rubles” (and not of the best quality).

Fujairah

Fujairah is the only emirate located on the Indian Ocean. The climate here is milder, and the nature is more diverse: in addition to the desert landscapes familiar to the UAE, there are rocks, hills and waterfalls, and also healing sulfur springs.

This emirate is a favorite holiday destination for Arabs themselves thanks to its beaches.

Beaches

Fujairah's beaches are considered the best in the UAE. All of them are covered with fine golden sand, the entrance to the sea is gentle, and the bottom at depth will be appreciated by lovers of diving and snorkeling.

Hotel base

The main feature of Fujairah is that all the hotels are located far from each other.

pros

  • There are many shopping centers, as well as a traditional Friday market where you can buy national souvenirs.
  • Wide range of diving opportunities.
  • Many historical attractions.

Minuses

  • Dusty roads make it better to take a taxi to your final destination over walking.
  • Shorter daylight hours than in other emirates: most of Fujairah's territory is occupied by mountains, and the coast faces strictly east.

Sharjah

Sharjah is the third largest emirate of the UAE, located next to Dubai on the shores of two gulfs: the Persian and Oman.

This is the strictest emirate in terms of rules: there is a strict “prohibition” law, there are no hookah cafes, nightclubs, and any revealing outfits are strictly prohibited. At the same time, Sharjah is the cultural center of the UAE: there are many museums, libraries, architectural monuments and other attractions, as well as shops and authentic Arab markets. So tourists, even in the absence of “forbidden” entertainment, will not be bored.

Beaches

Sharjah hotels are located on private beaches, but there are also well-equipped urban areas. There is fine white sand everywhere and a gentle entrance to the sea. There are several coastal areas with their own characteristics: Corniche (Al-Cornish) - located in the southwest of the city, in a small lagoon surrounded by rows of palm trees. There are several dive clubs here. However, it is worth considering that the sea off the coast of the Corniche beach is not the calmest: there are always small waves and sometimes undercurrents arise. Coral Beach is considered one of the best beaches in the city. Located next to the hotel of the same name on the northeast coast. The beach in Al Khan Lagoon is more suitable for a relaxing holiday: there is not such an abundance of water activities as on other beaches. On the other hand, it is quite crowded as it is popular with locals. At the same time, Al Khan is considered the safest beach in the emirate.

It is important to warn tourists about Sharjah's strict rules regarding clothing: even on hotel grounds it is not recommended to appear in too revealing a swimsuit, not to mention the city's public beaches, where you should come in the most modest clothes.

Hotel base

There are few hotels in Sharjah, most of them are located on the coast, they all have their own well-groomed beaches, but some, located closer to the city center, are separated from them by an embankment. The category of most hotels is 3-4*.

pros

  • Prices are lower than in Dubai, and thanks to the proximity of these two cities (only about an hour's drive), tourists can diversify a relaxing holiday in Sharjah with nightlife and shopping in Dubai.
  • Good opportunities for shopping and water sports.

Minuses

  • There is no public transport, all movements around the city are carried out on foot or by taxi.
  • Strict “prohibition” and complete absence of nightlife.
