Rangunan Zoo is located in Pasar Mingu, the city (in Indonesian - "kota") of South Jakarta. The territory of the zoo is about 140 hectares, its collection includes more than 270 species of animals, about 171 representatives of flora. All residents are cared for by 450 people.
The animal species that live at the Rangoonan Zoo are endangered and are of great value. In total, the zoo is home to about 3,120 species of animals, including birds and amphibians. On the territory, among the lush tropical vegetation, you can see the giant Indonesian monitor lizard or, as it is also called, the Komodo dragon - a lizard that is considered the largest existing today. Here you can see elephants, giraffes, kangaroos, zebras, orangutans, tapirs, the Sumatran tiger, banteng - a type of bull that lives on the island of Bali, as well as the smallest of modern wild bulls - anoa. One of the highlights of the zoo is the great flying fox - the largest species of bat in the world.
Rangoonan Zoo is over 150 years old and is the third oldest zoo in the world. And in terms of size, the zoo ranks second in the world. Rangoonan Zoo was founded in 1864. Famous Indonesian artist, Raden Saleh, donated 10 hectares of his land in Central Jakarta to establish the first zoo in Batavia. In 1966, the zoo moved to the Pasar Mingu area, and the grand opening took place in June of the same year.
The Schmutzer Primate Center, opened in 2002, operates on the territory of the zoo. This center is privately funded and is considered one of the largest such centers in the world. The center occupies 13 hectares. All kinds of primates can be seen here, including gorilla, chimpanzee and orangutan. There are also attractions and a children's playground on site.
Starting from February 2014, the zoo closes every Monday - the animals have a “day off”, and order is restored on the territory. If a holiday falls on Monday, the zoo will be open but closed the next day.
The zoo is located in the southern part of the city and offers visitors a glimpse of amazing local birds and rare animals such as the Komodo dragon, tapir, Javan tiger and wild ox. The zoo is open daily from 08.00 to 18.00.
This is the largest and most popular amusement park in Jakarta. You will find aquariums with fresh and sea water, swimming pools, an artificial lagoon for fishing and boating, bowling alleys, nightclubs, restaurants, massage centers. There is also a marina, the Fantasy World amusement park, a golf course, hotels and a theater. 
"Fantasy world"
“Fantasy World” is a large complex of attractions in Anchol Park, the Indonesian version of the famous “Disneyland”. The park also has restaurants and souvenir shops. The park is open from 14.00 to 21.00 from Monday to Friday, from 14.00 to 22.00 on Saturdays and from 10.00 to 21.00 on Sundays.
Park "Indonesia in Miniature"
This park presents in miniature the 27 provinces of Indonesia with their characteristic features. The park has an orchid garden, a bird garden, a fauna museum, swimming pools, restaurants - both children and adults will enjoy it here. The park is open from 09.00 to 16.00 daily.Nightlife in Bali
Bali has a vibrant nightlife. First of all, this applies to Kuta - this is where most discos for tourists are located, as well as in the nearest settlements of Legian and Semenyak. The main nightly entertainment begins after midnight.
Kuta area
Closer to the center of the region there are many places, such as Casablanca, which are open-air bars or very noisy discos.
If you're a clubbing fan, look for small notices on the walls of local clubs about upcoming parties and events. For example, Full Moon Party, Body Art Party and so on. These parties are usually a lot more fun!
Nusa Dua area
The best advice is to spare no time and money on a taxi to get to Kuta.
20 minutes - and you are in the center of unbridled fun. For those who don't want to travel to Kuta, there are discos or bars in every five-star hotel. In the center of the area there is the Mexican restaurant Roso Loco, which serves excellent alcoholic cocktails and plays pleasant music.
Sanur District
From here it is also best to go to Kuta - about 20 minutes by taxi.
The only real disco in Sanur is Janger. On Jl. Danay Tambtingan.

City tour

The park, located on 420 acres of open air, invites you to get acquainted with the architecture, culture, and traditions of many ethnic groups living in 32 provinces and special territories of the country. In the park you will find traditional houses and pavilions offering exhibitions of national costumes, musical instruments, locally produced products, furniture and interior decoration items typical of residents of different parts of the country. An integral part of the miniature park is the orchid garden and many alleys along which you can travel on foot, on a horse-drawn cart, by minibus or electric car. If you wish, you can look into the bird park, the unique cactus park and even the pharmacy park, where samples of medicinal plants used in both ancient and modern pharmaceuticals are presented.
Tour of Jakarta by night
The saying goes: "Jakarta's nightlife is one of Asia's best kept secrets." There are many places in the city where you can spend time in the evening - it all depends on your preferences. During this excursion you will visit the Art Market, located on the territory of the Ankol Dreamland complex, where artists from all over the country exhibit their works in studios and small workshops.

Kebun Binatang Gembira Loka Zoo was founded in 1953 in Jakarta, Indonesia. The small area of the zoo is used rationally; more than 100 species of rare and common animals live here.

The main mission of the zoo is to protect endangered species. Therefore, the park took responsibility for breeding Asiatic lions, of which there are no more than 300 individuals left in the wild. Next come the Bengal tiger and the Indian rhinoceros, whose numbers are rapidly declining due to poaching. The lyre deer is also listed in the International Red Book.
For the comfort of visitors, the zoo provides recreation areas. There are benches, drinking water sources and toilets on site. You can buy drinks and ice cream at local kiosks. Luggage storage facilities are provided for excess items. Free wheelchair rentals are available for visitors with reduced mobility. And for an additional fee, you can ride an electric car along the zoo route.

Indonesians love children with utmost devotion. No matter where you go, your children will instantly make friends among other children and adults. For Indonesians and tourists, visiting shopping malls is one of their favorite pastimes. Shopping centers in Jakarta are very large and there are up to 8 restaurants or food courts, as well as indoor playgrounds, bowling centers, family karaoke rooms and cinemas. You can even find Ferris wheels, carousels, water parks and small roller coasters inside shopping malls.
Sunday brunch is a favorite time among Indonesian families - there are not many cars on the roads, and this is one of the best times to go cycling or walking together on the main streets of Jakarta.
Outdoor parks are not really available in Jakarta.

Miniapolis Plaza Indonesia
Located on the third floor of the Plaza Indonesia shopping center. This is a small town exclusively for children. 
There are children's boutiques, toy stores, hairdressers, a sports center, a kindergarten, a photo studio and many cafes with child-friendly food. This is a great place as you can go shopping and have fun. The playground has areas for children of all ages - with a carousel, a train that travels throughout the area, and a climbing wall. To become a "citizen" of Miniapolis, you will have to pay somewhere around 35,000 rupees on a weekday and 50,000 on weekends. A train ride costs 25,000 rupees.
Playparq Kemang
For a very low price of 25,000 rupees, you can have fun for about three hours even in the rain. There is a water playground and a cafe with Wi-Fi for parents, a small racing track. Read more.

This is a great place - let the kids run around while you can relax a bit and surf the internet (there is Wi-Fi). There is also a barbecue area and something like houses in the shade where you can sit and relax. The food in the restaurant is very suitable for children. Nothing special, but what you need. And the prices are low. The cafe has good fresh fruit juices and natural popsicles. Amusement parks
Sea World
This is a beautiful well maintained small aquarium. There are separate aquariums with sharks, hundreds of colorful tropical fish, large octopuses and more. There is a small museum exhibit with a dissected giant stingray and other sea creatures. There is even a small Chinese theater that hosts shows a couple of times a day. 
And what about the tunnel surrounded by aquariums! You can just stand on the moving walkway and enjoy the ride.

Taman Mini
Mini Taman is a recreation area on an area of more than 100 hectares. This is a park and museums. The site is also a cultural center where pavilions represent the various provinces of Indonesia and depict various aspects of the provinces' culture - architecture, clothing and traditions. More than 10 museums will be interesting for children: the Transport Museum, the Soldier's Museum, the Sports Museum, the Insect Museum and others. A mini-train and a bus travel through the park. It's great to walk around these pavilions, just be careful with the monkeys that will perform tricks around you. The monkeys here are tame, walking around in some funny costumes - a sight for sore eyes!

Taman Safari
Taman Safari is located approximately 80 kilometers from Jakarta, between Bogor and Bandung. The park is home to more than 80 species of animals in their natural habitat. 
As you start your adventure and enter the park, you see all kinds of animals approaching your car and if you allow, poking their heads inside and looking for food, which you have probably already bought to come up with a hill in the park. After the safari, you can go to the recreation area, have a picnic or stop by Rainforest Restaurant - a cheap Indonesian version of Rainforest Café. The food is okay. 
There is also a good theme park with carousels and a park for newborn animals. For a fee, you can take pictures with tiger cubs or small orangutans in the park. There is a cave with a lot of birds, bats and owls.

Puppet Museum
Indonesia's rich culture and heritage are impeccably displayed in one of the oldest and most famous art museums. On the ground floor there are several wooden dolls and puppets and a small garden where the walls are decorated with antique Dutch inscriptions. On the second floor are dolls from all over the world. Indonesian puppets are especially interesting because they come from different islands. Various materials are used in the creation, such as hay and batik - very interesting. The international doll collection is small but very interesting and represents dolls from Europe and Asia. 
This is a very interesting and curious place for both children and adults.
