Which region of the UAE is better to go on vacation? United Arab Emirates

If you want to relax in the UAE, the safest country in the Middle East, this is the place for you. First, let's look at what the UAE is. This is a union of 7 emirates: Ajman, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras al-Khaimah, Fujairah, Umm al-Quwain and Sharjah. The country's capital and largest city is Dubai. It is also the most popular among Russian tourists.

Luxurious and gorgeous

Back in the 90s, Russian vacationers took tours to Dubai for shopping. Now the city in high-tech style is a worthy vacation spot, associated with the apartments of kings and sheikhs.

Dubai has many areas, but there are three main ones for tourists. On the right bank of the bay is the Deira district with numerous shops, on the left bank, called the Creek, is the Bar Dubai district, and the most beautiful is the resort Jumeirah with many villas and expensive hotels.

It seems that gold in Dubai will soon replace asphalt on the road: city residents cover their cars, bathtubs and other objects with it, adding diamonds.

Where is

First, let's find out where the United Arab Emirates is located. And they are located opposite Iran across the Persian Gulf. To the northwest is Qatar. Dubai is located on the shores of the Persian Gulf and the southeast of the Arabian Peninsula. The city is a financial and trading center of the entire Middle East and the UAE, a deep-sea port.

How to get there from Moscow

The simplest way is by plane. A ticket for a direct flight is more expensive than with a transfer, but it lasts about 5 hours and 20 minutes. Domodedovo, Vnukovo, Sheremetyevo airports send passengers in this direction every day.

Direct flights belong to the following companies: Flydubai, Emirates, Aeroflot. With a transfer you can fly with Qatar Airways, S7, Turkish Airlines, Etihad Airlines. Prices depend on the tourist season.

Dubai International Airport is large and convenient. The procedure takes place quickly (about 0.5 hours). You can get to the hotel by taxi.

Temperature and climate

The weather in the city is considered hot (arid climate of hot deserts) and this makes it uncomfortable all year round, and especially in summer. There is almost no precipitation.

In water

March and April are jellyfish season. The water is cold until March, but the heat begins in mid-May. March-April is considered the best season in the United Arab Emirates. The average water temperature in January reaches +20 °C, in August the warmest: +33 °C.

On air

Due to the daily heat in the city, even bus stops have air conditioning. For this reason they are closed.

Air humidity at the end of summer is 62-65%, pressure is 758 mm Hg. Art.
Sometimes there are sandstorms.

Markets and places to shop

The Shopping Festival is especially popular. Late-night shoppers can visit the night bazaar located on Al Seef Street. In the shops you can bargain as if you were at a market. And there are so many shops and shopping centers that 200% of requests will be fulfilled ahead of schedule.

Dubai Mall is the largest shopping center. There are a lot of malls, even metro stations are named accordingly.

Rules of conduct: a reminder for tourists

  • There is no alcohol in shops in Dubai. And drinking this kind of drink will result in a trip to the police station. Drinking is prohibited on the streets and in the subway.
  • Eating and smoking are also prohibited in the metro. The fine is 100 dirhams. Outside cafes, restaurants, and hotels, drinking alcoholic beverages is regarded as a serious crime.
  • On Fridays (and this is a day of prayer), shops, cafes, and the metro are closed at lunchtime.
  • The dress code in Dubai is quite democratic.

Visit the center of the UAE - delightful and fashionable Dubai. You won't be disappointed in any case!

Hot eastern countries are becoming increasingly popular among tourists. But before you go on a trip, you need to resolve several important issues. For example, if the Arab Emirates are chosen for travel, where is it better to go and the exact purpose of the trip. After all, a suitable vacation spot will depend on it.

If recently only very wealthy people could count on holidays in the Emirates, now the situation has changed. The demand for tours is growing, and along with it the number of offers, including those quite affordable for ordinary tourists. For travelers from Russia, there is even a simplified procedure for obtaining a visa, right at the airport after arrival.

The Emirates are so different from each other that an unprepared tourist, finding himself in an unfamiliar place, may find himself slightly perplexed. For example, Sharjah is famous for the fact that it is almost impossible to get alcohol in local stores. Including tourists. Therefore, couples with small children will feel good here.

But Fujairah is full of all-inclusive hotels that are located close to the beaches. This place is more suitable for lovers of active recreation.

Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi is the capital of the UAE and is considered one of the richest cities in the world. And for many people this is the best option for relaxation. There is a lot of greenery, good hotels, and the atmosphere is calm and measured. One of the best hotels is Emirates Palace 5*, and among the inexpensive ones is Corniche Hotel Abu Dhabi 5*. On Yas Island, which was created artificially, there are quite comfortable hotels for tourists who prefer active water recreation.

On the same island there is the Ferrari World theme park, with an area of 200 thousand square meters. m. It includes a car museum and many attractions.

Also in Abu Dhabi is the Sheikh Zayed Mosque, the largest mosque in the UAE, which is a local landmark.

Dubai

It is considered one of the undisputed leaders of beach holidays.

Downtown Dubai is a prestigious area where the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, is located. Once on its roof, you can admire the incredible contrast between the panorama of the city and the harsh desert.

In addition, this place will be appreciated by all shopping lovers, because the world's largest shopping center, Dubai Mall, is located right here. Opposite is Souk Al Bahar, another shopping center stylized as an Arab market. Here you can buy many national goods.

Fujairah

One of the youngest emirates, which is becoming increasingly popular among tourists. Due to the fact that it is reliably protected from the hot winds of the desert, and its coastline stretches for 90 km, it provides an excellent opportunity for families with small children to relax.

Ras Al Khaimah

It is located in the northern part of the country, so it is ideal for people who cannot tolerate heat and dry air. The cost of hotels and entertainment is lower than in other emirates, while the quality of services provided is in no way inferior.

Tourists are offered a wide range of entertainment: diving, hiking, excursions. It is also worth noting the hot mineral springs, to which people from many countries come in the hope of improving their health.

Umm Al Quwain

A quiet and provincial emirate, which in its area noticeably lags behind the rest. However, this does not prevent it from being as hospitable as other local properties. There are very clean beaches, palm groves and sand dunes that will surprise anyone with their beauty.

In addition to walking among amazing landscapes, vacationers can visit the Dreamland water park or interact with dolphins and horses. Of course, young children will enjoy this most. And adults will certainly be interested in camel racing.

Sharjah

A rather modest and cozy place to relax, ideal for people who love peace and quiet. There is not much entertainment here, and quite strict requirements are imposed on the behavior of people, including tourists.

Vacationers who want an adventure just need to catch a taxi. In 20 minutes you can find yourself in places full of entertainment and noise.

Ajman

This place is the best place to get acquainted with the history of this Middle Eastern country. There are many museums here that display ancient artifacts. Located 10 km from Sharjah.

What time of year is best to go to the UAE?

The UAE is a state where a dry subtropical climate prevails. That is, there is practically no rain here, and in spring and summer there is intense heat. This time is more suitable for people in good health who love to relax under the scorching rays of the sun. Between May and September the temperature in the shade reaches +50°C. It is unlikely that such conditions will have a good effect on the condition of the elderly, children or those who suffer from cardiovascular diseases.

But in October-November the weather becomes more favorable. The average temperature is about +30°C. Climate improvement causes higher prices for tours and accommodation. And only from December to March can one observe an equal decrease in both air temperature (up to +25°C) and the cost of travel packages.

This option is more suitable for those who prefer a moderate, even cool climate, while being a supporter of a budget holiday. The most important thing is that a slight drop in temperature does not in any way affect the beach season, which is still in full swing. In April, the air temperature begins to gradually rise again.

Where to relax with small children

Families with children should take a closer look at those emirates that have developed appropriate entertainment. For example, in Ras Al Khaimah there is the Dreamland water park, where up to 7 thousand children can relax every day. There are many water attractions, a lot of greenery, as well as sunbathing areas.

But while on vacation in Dubai, you can visit the Wonderland amusement park, whose area is more than 180 thousand square meters. km. It is ideal for a family holiday. Teens will love the Ferrari World theme park on Yas Island.

Regardless of the characteristics of each emirate, their advantages and disadvantages, the final choice of holiday destination is up to the traveler. There are so many resorts in this state that everyone can choose something suitable for themselves.

Once upon a time, only wealthy tourists could afford a trip to the UAE. In recent years, tours to the UAE have become very popular and quite affordable. And the simplification of the visa regime for Russians (a visa can now be obtained directly at the airport of this country upon arrival) has become an additional incentive to travel to the Emirates.

At the same time, many tourists have a question: where is the best place to go to the UAE? The answer to this question depends on the purpose of your trip.

If you have never been to the country of the most expensive hotels, the tallest skyscrapers, the coolest water parks and the most unstoppable shopping, read this article. And then you will understand where it is better to go to the UAE with a child, which resorts and hotels to choose for a beach holiday, and where to go for unbridled shopping.

Where to go in the UAE and what to do there

As you know, the UAE consists of several emirates, which have their own characteristics: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Fujairah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah.

All of them are of interest to tourists, each has its own zest. But what some tourists will like may be an unpleasant surprise for others.

For example, the prohibition law in force in Sharjah prohibits the serving of alcohol in hotels and the sale of alcohol in shops. Even tourists. Not even Muslims.

Do you like all-inclusive holidays? Great! There are such hotels in Fujairah. And they are all located almost right on the beach. Only there will be nowhere to go for a walk outside the hotel premises.

So, let's figure out all these emirates.

Abu Dhabi: a green city

So, Abu Dhabi is the capital of the UAE. By all accounts, this is a very interesting holiday option. Firstly, in my memory Abu Dhabi remained very green, compared to Dubai, and, secondly, more calm and measured.

There are many good hotels to stay in Abu Dhabi. And the most famous of them is Emirates Palace 5*, which reminded me of the Hermitage - with its size and interiors.

I can also recommend the following hotels: InterContinental Abu Dhabi 5*, Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana 5*, Al Raha Beach Hotel 5*, Beach Rotana Hotel & Towers 5*, Sheraton Abu Dhabi Hotel & Resort 5*, Le Meridien Abu Dhabi 4*.

Inexpensive options: Al Ain Rotana 5*, Golden Tulip Al Jazira Hotel & Resort 5*, Grand Millennium Al Wahda 5*, Corniche Hotel Abu Dhabi 5*, Crowne Plaza Abu Dhabi 5*.

Perhaps the best hotels for tourists now are hotels on Yas Island, which is an artificial island and was built relatively recently - in 2009. Because it has the best beaches.

See these hotels here: Radisson Blu Hotel Abu Dhabi Yas Island 5* Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi 5*, Yas Island Rotana Abu Dhabi 4*.

And that's where the famous Formula 1 Grand Prix race track and the largest indoor Ferrari theme park .

The Yas Waterworld complex is also located on Yas Island. On an area of 15 hectares, there are 43 attractions, slides and entertainment that will not leave anyone indifferent.

Another landmark of the UAE, the largest mosque - Sheikh Zayed Mosque - also located in Abu Dhabi.

So, there is definitely something to do and see in Abu Dhabi.

Mom, I'm in Dubai!

The Emirate of Dubai is the most visited emirate by Russians. This is where many tourists fly to shop and look at the incredible architecture. When our plane approached Dubai airport, it seemed to me that we had arrived on another planet - the view from the window was so amazing!

The Burj Al Arab sail hotel, which has received the 7-star category and has become the hallmark of the UAE, is located in Dubai. Like the hotel Atlantis The Palm 5 * , located on an artificial artificial island in the shape of a giant palm tree.

And of course, the famous tower Burj Khalifa - a skyscraper with a height of 828 meters, the tallest building in the world! Climb to its observation deck and you will see a truly fantastic sight!

And the fountain show below, near the tower, which takes place in the evenings, will be the final chord in your Dubai sightseeing program. After which you can safely move on to shopping!

And you won’t have any problems with shopping in Dubai - in terms of the number of shopping centers, it is ahead of all other emirates combined. Each of these shopping centers is a small microcosm that has everything: shops and restaurants of all kinds, beauty salons, cinema halls, aquariums, children's attractions and even a ski slope and tubing track! You can spend every day in a new shopping center.

For a beach holiday, Dubai is also quite suitable. If funds allow, book yourself one of the hotels in Jumeirah or Palma.

If not, take a city hotel in Bar Dubai or Deire . They do not have their own beaches, but for swimming on the coast of Dubai there are two well-known beach complexes, which are used by vacationers of most city hotels - Al Mamzar Park And Jumeirah Beach Park. Most city hotels in Dubai offer a free (less often paid) transfer to these beaches.

Sharjah

Dubai's closest neighbor is the emirate of Sharjah. This emirate also has its own airport, and many charter flights from Russia fly to Sharjah airport.

What you might like holiday in Sharjah ? Advantages of this emirate:

  • Quick access to the infrastructure and attractions of the Emirate of Dubai
  • Holiday prices in Sharjah are generally 30% lower than similar hotel prices in Dubai
  • Sharjah beaches with imported white or local yellow sand are clean, safe and great for families with children
  • Sharjah has a large selection of hotels with direct access to the beach

Beach hotels here are cheaper than in Dubai, but they are not as luxurious, sometimes quite modest.

Some good ones we can recommend are: Hilton Sharjah 5*, Coral Beach Resort Sharjah 4*, Lavender Hotel Sharjah 4*, Lou Lou'a Beach Resort 3*, Al Seef Beach Hotel 3*, Beach Hotel Sharjah 3*, Sharjah Premiere Hotel & Resort 3*, Citymax Sharjah 3*, Verona Resort Sharjah 3*.

Sharjah has its own shopping centers, and the ones in Dubai are just a stone's throw away. The only thing that lovers of having a blast should remember is that there is a “prohibition” law in this Emirate. You can't even appear on the streets here while intoxicated, let alone in public places.

Ajman

Modest and calm Ajman is located just 10 km from Sharjah.

Its territory is the smallest of all seven regions of the country. But there is no “prohibition” in Ajman. On the contrary, the Hole in the wall store, next to the Ajman Beach Hotel, sells imported alcoholic beverages without any restrictions. True, exporting them from the territory of the Principality of Ajman is strictly prohibited.

Ajman's small size is more than compensated by its nature: beautiful palm trees, snow-white beaches and an atmosphere of comfort and friendliness. When the cool weather descends on the city, entire families flock to the embankment to barbecue on the soft sand, under palm trees, or on special white tables with blue picnic umbrellas.

The tourist infrastructure here began to develop not so long ago, but there are good hotels, and they have everything for a relaxing holiday.

We can recommend the following hotels: Ajman Hotel 5*, Bahi Ajman Palace Hotel 5*, Fairmont Ajman 5*, Ramada Hotel & Suites Ajman 4*, Ramada Beach Hotel 4*, Ajman Saray A Luxury Collection Resort 4*, Radisson Blu Hotel Ajman 5*.

Umm Al Quwain

Umm Al Quwain is an even quieter and more provincial emirate, 34 km north of Ajman, and 50 km from Dubai, perfect for a relaxing holiday. Our tourists have already fallen in love with it for its good price/quality ratio.

In the emirate of Umm al Quwain, old traditions and way of life are preserved to this day. Here you can see the life of this country without the glamorous touch.

Umm Al Quwain is a true paradise for fishing lovers. Beautiful beaches and lagoons, historical and architectural monuments are complemented by the Dreamland amusement park and quiet, clean beaches. In addition, there are spectacular camel racing .

The emirate has a Marine Club with windsurfing, water skiing, sailing, etc.

The choice of hotels is still small, but they are inexpensive and quite decent: Umm Al Quwain Beach 4*, Bin Majid Flamingo 3*, Palma Beach Resort & Spa 4*.

Ras Al Khaimah

Ras Al Khaimah, the northernmost of the seven emirates, has abundant greenery and is therefore considered one of the most beautiful holiday destinations in the UAE. The favorable climate and fertile soils made it a real blooming oasis on the border of the mountains, close to the seashore. Tourists with children will be very pleased Iceland WaterPark which was built built in 2010. Also, travelers will have a truly unforgettable adventure - a flight on a light sports aircraft or an aerochute.

Perhaps Ras Al Khaimah is the best price offer for a beach holiday in the UAE. There are magnificent beaches and a decent hotel base - from 3 to 5 stars. Of those that our tourists have already loved, I would like to note Hilton Al Hamra Beach & Golf Resort 5*, Bin Majid Beach Hotel 4*.

In my opinion, the Ras Al Khaimah region is ideal for families with children.

Fujairah

Now we have reached the last emirate - Fujairah. It is located farthest from Dubai airport, on the Indian Ocean coast, in the Gulf of Oman.

Fujairah is most loved by supporters of a relaxing beach holiday. And for those who are interested in diving, this is simply paradise.

There are no simple hotels in Fujairah - there are only luxurious “five” hotels, several of them operate on the “all inclusive” system. And this is quite reasonable, because... You won’t be able to go outside the hotel territory and buy something - there are no shops or restaurants here. There is almost no tourist infrastructure outside the hotel.

Hotels in Fujairah: Radisson Blu Resort Fujairah 5*, Miramar Al Aqah Beach Resort 5*, Fujairah Rotana Resort & Spa - Al Aqah Beach 5*, Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort 5*, Fairmont Fujairah Beach Resort 5*, Oceanic Khorfakkan Resort & Spa 4*.

Another pride of Fujairah is Ain Al Ghamour hot springs , formed due to a volcanic eruption. Due to the constant movement of sulfur, the springs always remain hot. The average temperature of the spring is about 60 degrees Celsius and never drops below 40 degrees. Water is rich in various useful chemical elements. Every year people come here who want to cure their musculoskeletal system and skin diseases.

This is how different they are, these United Arab Emirates. Now that you know what is interesting about each emirate, you can easily select and book hotels for your holiday in the UAE: Find an inexpensive tour to the UAE

Choose and relax!

See you on the blog!

Just some 40 years ago, the UAE was a complete desert. And now many tourists from all over the world come here to observe the result of architectural and technological progress. The emirates are growing and developing at incredible speed. Surrounded by the warm, clear waters of the Persian Gulf, they are always fully armed and happy to receive “overseas” guests who want both relaxation on the beach and the opportunities of a developed metropolis.

The UAE is a country where the impossible is possible!

5 reasons to go to the Emirates:

  1. The holiday season in the UAE lasts all year round. The hottest months are June-September. The temperature reaches 40-42°C, but you won’t notice this heat - air conditioners in the Emirates work at every turn. In January, the air temperature does not drop below 25°C.
  2. There is wealth, cleanliness, luxury and the smell of expensive perfume all around. And local traffic cops patrol the streets of big cities in Bugatti and Lamborghini cars.
  3. The desert in the UAE is as real as it gets, with dunes. What the resort area of Egypt cannot boast of. So feel free to go on a jeep safari!
  4. You won't find drunken brawlers here. Laws are strictly observed in the emirates. By the way, if a tourist looks at a Muslim woman for a long time and intently, he can be fined or put in prison. Be sure to check your local dress code.
  5. A relatively short flight (4-5 hours) will allow you to find yourself on a paradise beach, no worse than in the Maldives or the Dominican Republic, but 2-3 times faster. With the same fluffy and clean sand and a smooth entry into the sea!

Which emirate to choose?

First, decide what you will do. Go to clubs? To you in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. If you want a comfortable family holiday, the emirate of Fujairah is for you. For inexpensive, quiet relaxation, head to the emirates of Ras Al Khaimah and Sharjah.

The UAE is a major shopping center. All emirates have malls and markets. The locals have a special attitude towards them - they spend evenings, weekends, celebrate holidays in shopping centers and just drop in here at any free moment.

In the Emirates there are city hotels, first-line hotels with their own beach and coastal hotels near municipal beaches. City hotels, as a rule, have their own swimming pools, which are located on the upper floors of the building. Love breathtaking views? Look for a hotel with a pool located as high above sea level as possible.

Focus on price: the further the emirate is from Dubai, the main entertainment and shopping center of the country, the cheaper the hotels. However, from hotels in distant emirates, a bus runs to Dubai several times a week, paid or free depending on the hotel.

Dubai

The most cosmopolitan and “Europeanized” emirate. This is a huge metropolis with a vibrant nightlife, one might say, “the second Moscow”. Only here there are more shopping centers, water buses are common, and the metro generally runs without drivers.

Dubai has a very vibrant nightlife and restaurant scene. Everywhere you can smoke delicious hookah, try the delights of world cuisine and buy designer items. However, youth under 21 are not allowed into the clubs.

If you are planning to visit the Emirates for the first time, then go here. From the excursion program - the tall Burj Khalifa tower, the Pearl Fishers Village, Dancing Fountains and much more

Dubai hotels do not have their own area where you can walk. And there is no beach holiday as such either - many go for a swim in the neighboring emirate of Sharjah.

Sharjah

A very strict and conservative emirate, “prohibition” reigns here. It is prohibited to drink alcohol in open restaurants, on the street, on the beach, and alcohol is not sold in the hotels themselves.

Sharjah is also the cultural capital of the country with numerous attractions. Boys of any age will be interested in visiting the Museum of Vintage Cars.

Holidays here are much cheaper than in larger emirates, which is why Sharjah is popular among light-drinking Russian tourists. It is quiet and peaceful here, with uncrowded beaches. Located 45 km from Dubai.

Fujairah

Fujairah is called the most beautiful emirate in the country; it is located in a bay, and many hotels have their own beaches. There are fewer skyscrapers here, and therefore much more comfortable. Exotic lovers and diving fans come to Fujairah: there are a lot of corals in the sea, you can see moray eels, butterfly fish and other underwater inhabitants.

Among the attractions of the emirate are the Museum of Ancient Settlements, the Old City area, and a busy port. The city itself is decorated with numerous fountains and sculptural compositions with traditional Arabic motifs.

This is the northernmost emirate, so it is always 2-3 degrees cooler here and there is more greenery. It takes about 5 hours to drive from Dubai.

Ras Al Khaimah

There is much less entertainment in the emirate of Ras al Khaimah than in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. It’s better to come here on an excursion from a neighboring emirate. It is about 1.5 hours drive from Dubai - buses run for an additional fee.

There are few tourists, there are more locals on the beach. But there is also a lot of entertainment for tourists here: again, shopping malls, camel racing, sailing and others. The Old Town area is rich in historical sites, such as the ruins of the Palace of the Queen of Sheba. The Ice land water park is open for children and adults.

Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi is the business center of the UAE; there is no beach recreation area here. However, the emirate is worth visiting! You will be amazed by the breathtaking views of mosques scattered across the “field” of skyscrapers, and the beautiful architecture of modern buildings. You will see palaces, monuments, numerous fountains. It's as luxurious as Dubai. You can even safely buy gold from a machine. Nightlife is also quite active. Among other things, this is the greenest emirate!

Where to go with children?

The UAE loves children very much, so here you can find good water parks and zoos, including the Dubai Aquarium - the largest in the world. There is practically no animation in hotels, and All Inclusive is not very common. However, the all-inclusive meal option will be the only reasonable option, since food prices in all cafes proudly called “restaurants,” regardless of the menu, are quite high. For a relaxing family holiday with children, choose the emirate of Fujairah.

In winter, many people plan to relax in hot countries - such a sharp climate change has a beneficial effect on a person’s psycho-emotional background. The UAE is one of the countries that can offer tourists luxury beach holidays during the coldest months of the year across much of the world. They most often visit Dubai, its mass of unique attractions, comfortable climate, clean sea and high level of service guarantee a quality holiday.

When is it cheaper to vacation in Dubai: summer, autumn

Dubai can be visited all year round - the air temperature here, even in the winter months, does not fall below 25 degrees Celsius, the sea remains warm, hotels and shops are open without holidays or weekends.

According to experts, the most unfavorable months for holidays in this eastern city are considered to be summer – in June, July and August the air temperature rises to 50 degrees Celsius.

It is especially important to know this nuance for those who have health problems - hypertension, any diseases of the heart and respiratory system are contraindications to such trips.

But experienced tourists claim that these months have several attractive features:

  • the flow of tourists is decreasing - you can calmly stroll the streets of the city, visit the sights without crowds and enjoy a relaxing beach holiday;
  • the cost of tours is low, even independent trips will be profitable - accommodation and meals in the summer in the UAE are very adequate due to the unpopularity of the season;
  • stores offer huge discounts - shopping lovers will appreciate this moment;
  • in August there is a three-day holiday after the end of Ramadan - interesting, fun and financially profitable, because sellers reduce the prices of their goods as much as possible.

And the heat in the summer months in Dubai is quite easy to bear - absolutely all buildings are equipped with air conditioning, they are even available at bus stops.

The most successful months for holidays in the UAE are October – March. The air warms up to a maximum of 35 degrees, the sea water temperature is within 21 degrees above zero - these are comfortable conditions for your stay. True, this season is considered the busiest, tourists come to Dubai from all over the world and “demand creates supply”: prices for accommodation, excursions and souvenirs rise to incredible levels.

There are two main seasons in the UAE:

  • hot and humid - lasts from May to October, during this period you will have to not only put up with high air temperatures, but also stuffiness;
  • warm with low humidity – begins in November and ends in April.

Also, a sand/dust storm can occur at any time of the year. It is always sudden, but short-lived and rarely brings discomfort into the life of a tourist.

How to save money on a trip to the UAE

Holidays in the United Arab Emirates, in particular in Dubai, cannot be called economical - you have to pay for comfort and pleasure. But there are a few “tricks” that will help you save money on your trip:

  • Renting a car and taxis in Dubai are expensive; experienced tourists recommend paying attention to public transport. It works flawlessly in this eastern city - the tram, water bus and metro allow you to get to anywhere in the city. The transport is comfortable, equipped with air conditioning and moves strictly according to the route schedule. For even greater savings, you need to purchase a travel card.
  • You need to buy The Entertainer Book, a collection of discount vouchers that contains 3,000 tourist attractions across the country. It costs a little more than $100 (about 6,000 rubles or 3,000 UAH), but the price “fights off” literally from the first purchases.
  • For example, you can visit a water park or zoo with your children using tickets with a 30% discount; in some cases this can be done for free using vouchers. There are different types of books - for visiting spas/gyms/massage rooms, for visiting restaurants, for family holidays in parks, for excursions. This “treasure” is sold at the airport, or you can make a purchase online.
  • Every guest of the city has the opportunity to take a free excursion. You can go on a 2-hour walking tour with a guide who conducts the program in English. Free trips to the most famous attractions are organized every day, in which the accompanying person tells the history of the state. You can visit the Jumeirah Mosque for free, which is open to non-Russians (all days except Friday), and the Pink Flamingo Sanctuary.
  • For your own pleasure, you need to visit the fountains at the Burj Khalifa skyscraper. Every day at 18-00 there is a show, one performance lasts 15 minutes, then there is a break for the same time - and the audience watches the next program, there are no repeats. The Burj Khalifa fountain show is recognized as one of the most beautiful in the world, and you can watch it for free.
  • You can save money by using the Dubai Card. It provides discounts on excursions to the most popular tourist sites and free travel on public transport.

To avoid large expenses, you need to remember three important rules:

  • Do not use a taxi that does not have a meter, or agree in advance on the price of the trip with the driver. Otherwise, the announced cost may greatly surprise and upset you.
  • Throw garbage only into trash cans. Even accidentally dropping a piece of paper can result in a fine of $200 (approximately).
  • It is better not to communicate with local women at all, or to be restrained in gestures and glances - this rule applies to male tourists. Violating it can result in a fine of $2,000 to $18,000 or arrest.
