Petrogradskaya shuttle s3. Representatives of people with limited mobility

Recently, two new regular routes appeared in Moscow. It would seem that this is ordinary news, but in reality these routes are different from the usual ones... for everyone!

The buses here are tourist class, travel is free with tickets in the app, there are no stops in the middle of the route... In general, everything really differs

Well, since one of these routes extends to Matveevskoye, why not test it?

These buses are called “City Shuttle” and are designed for travel to and from work by employees of companies operating in Moscow City

Travel on them is free, but to use the bus, you need to install the Mosgorpass application and get a free ticket. It looks like this:

The ticket is valid on both routes in both directions, the bus departure time is not taken into account - only the date

You must receive a ticket every day, for this you need to indicate the name, phone number, e-mail and the company you work for (you must select from the list, therefore, in order to receive a ticket, I indicated “Moscow Government”, I hope they will not anathematize me for this :))

The movement interval is 20 minutes. Leaving home at 7:35, I assumed that the bus would leave the terminal at 7:40, and so it happened, and already at 7:41 I boarded the bus at my stop

I didn’t have a camera with me, I took pictures with my iPhone, so taking into account the time of day, the quality is appropriate

In addition to the driver, there is a controller on the bus whose task is not only to check tickets, but also to take into account how many passengers got on/off at a particular stop, as well as the total occupancy of the cabin.

“You are our first passenger,” the controller told me when I sat down. There is nothing surprising in this, since the route has just been launched and many do not know about it. In total there were two of us traveling to the City - me and another guy who got off after 3 stops

-Where are you going?

To Moscow City

-Are you passing Kutuzovsky?

I pass but don't stop

- Is it possible in threes?

No, only with tickets from the Mosgorpass application

Such questions are asked by passengers at the bus stop, seeing such a route for the first time. While this service is a novelty, there will be many such questions, even taking into account the fact that visuals about the launch of the route have been placed at stops

Leaving at 7:40, we managed to get through the main traffic jams, both on Kutuzovsky itself and at the exit to the avenue

Kutuzov Avenue

Along Kutuzovsky the bus goes along a dedicated lane (where it is), which is logical and correct

This is my first time entering this tunnel by bus and not by car.

At the exit from Treshka to the City there was a bit of jostling, which is quite usual for this place...

It would be nice to put a camera here to shoot the “smartest” ones who wedge in third and fourth row

Already on the territory of the City we meet another route, from Khoroshevo-Mnevniki

The bus arrived at Moscow City and the Mezhdunarodnaya metro station at 8:09, i.e. We were on the road for 28 minutes. This is not a record result, but quite decent

You may have a question - why was it necessary to buy such buses for these routes? I’ll answer - they weren’t bought, or rather they were bought, of course, but not for that - they were used for transportation at the last World Cup

If I actually worked in the City I would use this route daily. Maybe I'll ride it again this evening.

Routes st1 and st2 operate on weekdays from 6 to 21, so I won’t be able to ride them to visit my mother in Khoroshevo-Mnevniki on weekends (which is a pity :))

What's the bottom line? The connection turned out to be quite interesting; it makes sense to talk about the real flow at least in a month, but since... on the horizon New Year holidays, then more likely even at the end of January - beginning of February.

The use of this type of rolling stock, of course, looks unexpected. Free tickets with QR codes, it is quite possible that they are used as testing of such technology in transport (as long as it encodes the phrase “Ticket is valid!” and a link to the site, but nothing prevents you from encrypting something else if necessary).

In any case, the experiment is interesting and quite unexpected. It will be interesting to watch his results

Well, perhaps I’ll go there myself periodically if they don’t drop me off when they find out that I don’t work in the City

Details about City Shuttles can be found on the website i.transport.mos.ru/city. From there I looked at the title photo
