2019/2020

Training center Volosozhar and Trankova - next to the Iceberg Ice Palace (Enter through the Northern checkpoint)
The indoor skating rink, located in the Sochi Olympic Park, where the most exciting battles in the history of world sports took place recently, and where our champions are now training, is open to mass sports and active recreation. All year round, the training arena at the Iceberg Ice Palace is ready to provide excellent conditions for all skating enthusiasts. Two training grounds will allow everyone to enjoy wonderful gliding, be it professional athletes or outdoor enthusiasts with friends and family.
The ice surface is a special pride of the Iceberg Ice Palace and its training center, where the skating rink operates. It’s not for nothing that the country’s best skaters choose the Yug Sports arena, because the ice palace’s specialists bring the smoothness of the ice to perfection, and refill it after each session. If guests come without their own skates, then skates, protective kit and exercise equipment for those who are just taking their first steps on the ice can always be rented. Visitors also have a service center where they can sharpen blades on personal equipment. For the safety of outdoor enthusiasts, sports instructors and health workers are on hand.

The Iceberg ice rink is not only a sport, but also a holiday. The atmosphere at public skating sessions is created by music from Radio Energy, a partner of the sports palace. The arena regularly hosts festive events, where guests will have the opportunity to take part in numerous competitions, fun master classes, and themed photo sessions.

The infrastructure of the ice arena deserves special mention. The complex has a buffet for those who get hungry while exercising. A modern security system, inherited from the Olympic Games, ensures the safety of guests. For vehicle owners there is spacious free parking for up to 1000 cars.

In the winter season of 2013, a free outdoor skating rink is open again on the territory of the Olimpiysky Sports Complex. This became possible thanks to the support of the project from the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the city of Moscow.

The area of the skating rink is 1,460 square meters. It is located on the side of Olympic Avenue. As before, its territory has all the necessary infrastructure: a warm locker room, a cloakroom, a cafe with light snacks and drinks, toilets, rental and skate sharpening stations.

The first outdoor skating rink at the Olympic Stadium was launched last year. During the winter season, children and adults could not only skate, but also attend figure skating classes for free.

This year, visitors to the skating rink will also enjoy free classes with experienced instructors, as well as various sports and entertainment events.

Among the many indoor skating rinks in Moscow, I would like to highlight the skating rink at the Olympic Sports Complex. Our group really enjoyed the hike. Before that we went to Russian ice V Gorky Park. The skating rink in Olimpiyskiy simply cannot be compared with it.

The ice on it is even and smooth, it is clear that they are seriously working on it. Also, mostly professional skaters skate at this stadium, so you can always find a good coach here. The entrance price is, of course, high, but it is completely worth it.

There is a wardrobe and a toilet, they can be used for free. For public skating, the skating rink is open several times a week: Wednesday - from 15.00 to 16.00, Saturday - from 11.00 to 12.30, from 12.45 to 13.45, from 14.00 to 15.00 and on Sunday - from 15.45 to 16.45, from 17.00 to 18.00, from 18.15 until 19.00. However, it is better to check the working hours further.

There is no skate rental. Not long ago, the ice center of the Olimpiysky sports complex reopened its doors to visitors after a technical break. Hockey players, figure skaters, and curling fans will find a place there.

Now a new hockey rink has been installed there, new ice has been poured in and the design of the hall has been changed. Classes for subscription groups are held at the Olimpiyskiy skating rink. Figure skating classes are held for children 4-14 years old. The purpose of the classes: to give the children initial training in figure skating. Your child will be taught how to slide correctly and perform simple elements such as spinning and jumping.

The hockey group recruits boys 7-14 years old. During the lessons, the children will definitely learn the technique of handling a stick and puck, and since hockey is a team game, they will develop a sense of composure, attentiveness, and responsibility for the team.

The synchronized skating group is for those who have already mastered the figure skating technique well. Admission to the group is carried out based on the results of screening throughout the academic year. Synchronized skating is a more democratic sport, although it is based on figure skating. We were more interested in public skating.

We really got positive emotions from him. High-quality ice, a large area for skating, musical accompaniment - all this left a pleasant impression and a desire to definitely return to the Olimpiyskiy again. Don't forget to drop by Catherine Park after the rides.
