Currently it is a huge terminal, one of the most magnificent ports in Europe. The beauty of the perfect architecture can be viewed on the official websites of airlines and travel agencies if you are interested in traveling to the island.

It welcomes customers flying from the UK and Ireland.

The fare is paid directly by the driver. The client is required to indicate the destination and the number of paid transit passengers. People pay in two ways: travel cards and cash. A card purchased in advance is valid for ten trips and costs less (ten euros), whereas in cash you will have to pay one and a half euros for one trip.

The taxi service in the city operates 24 hours a day. The parking lot is located opposite the arrivals area at Palma de Mallorca Airport. It is preferable to use official cars and go where they are parked, then the cost of travel will be less. We strongly recommend that you do not agree to the services of private cab drivers, who will require much more money. You can get from the airport terminal to the city center in just fourteen minutes.

You can rent a car on the territory of the terminal. However, by contacting a specialized rental center, you will save your capital. There are some conditions for renting a vehicle:

  • availability of international rights;
  • certain age restrictions - you can rent no earlier than twenty-one years old with more than three years of driving experience;
  • the service fee is fifty or more euros per day.

Almost always, a deposit of two hundred euros is provided, which is returned to the client after the end of the agreement. Don't forget about right-hand traffic in Spain. Familiarize yourself with the rules and parking areas in advance. Please be aware that underground parking is preferred due to unlimited vehicle storage time. You also need to buy a parking card at the entrance.

Transfer is considered a very convenient service, which consists of picking you up and driving you to your specified destination in the city. The driver will meet you as close as possible at the exit area. He will definitely help you with your luggage and take you the shortest route to your destination. We advise you to agree on the type of transport in advance - be it a cheap taxi or a luxury transfer.

With Kiwitaxi you can book any car: either a comfortable car for a couple with a child, or a minibus for a group of travelers.

Ordering travel along the entire route has a fixed cost. The price change is not affected by unforeseen situations: neither delays nor traffic jams. Also, absolutely nothing will change, even if you decide to go to a cafe. Happy travels and happy holidays on the beaches of Mallorca!

There is public transport and taxis, for which there is a special parking lot near the terminal. Signs will lead you to it. You can get to Palma de Mallorca from the airport by taxi for thirty euros.

Bus number 21 runs to the capital of the island, along the route of which there are some coastal hotels. The fare is three euros. The 1st bus will take you to the city bus station and Plaza de España. For five euros you will be taken to the port, which is considered one of the most beautiful Mediterranean harbors. The intervals between bus departures are 20-30 minutes.

You can also rent a car in Son San Juan.

The most comfortable and fastest option for traveling to the city is a transfer service. Just don’t forget to choose a car that suits your class and capacity before arriving on the island. In this case, right after arriving in Palma de Mallorca, you will meet with the driver, who will be holding a name plate. When booking a transfer online, you will fix the final cost of the service, which includes an hour wait in Son San Juan and a 15-minute wait near the hotel.

When I landed at Mallorca airport, I was simply amazed by its size. This huge building with panoramic windows inspired hope for excellent service. “Wow!” - I screamed after getting off the plane. Although, on the other hand, this is not surprising, because there is a large flow of tourists there, almost all of them fly to the island.

But the positive emotions practically ended there and became quiet. I ran into trouble with not very good staff. If you know English, then it will be simple and easy for you. But if there is a complete absence of foreign language, you will have to explain everything on your fingers, and the workers there are not very friendly, and also slow.

As for the internal organization of the airport, in the middle it does not seem as luxurious as from the outside.

For example, I didn’t like the fact that they didn’t screen people when entering the airport; you can bring whatever you want. Although, on the other hand, when going through security when boarding a flight, they are asked to even take off shoes with thick soles. Some kind of ambiguous attitude towards security.

I also didn’t like the fact that huge passages were built to the passport control area; I was tired of carrying my bag.

The toilets were disappointing, they were a bit dirty, and I also didn’t have enough soap.

Well, a little about the infrastructure of the airport itself:

  • a bunch of clothing stores, Spanish-made cosmetics (my favorite boutique was “Mango”);
  • a huge duty free zone with cheap prices (an order of magnitude lower than in Russia);
  • several cafes, although they are not of a high standard;
  • The waiting area is spacious with free internet access.
