Abandoned hospital in Khovrino: myths and facts

This place haunted us for a long time and excited our imagination: so much history and myths are associated with it. As a result, it was decided to organize a small “expedition” there. And this is what came out of it.

A little history

Grachevsky Park (Khovrino estate)
The Khovrino estate (now Grachevsky Park and the Moscow Regional Hospital for Rehabilitation) was founded in 1840 - 1850.
Soldiers and officers of the Panfilov Rifle Division are buried in Grachevsky Park.
The Golovin Khovrino estate, known since the first half of the 18th century, was acquired and renamed by the merchant M.S. Grachev at the end of the 19th century. In 1898 - 1900, the architect G.A. Kaiser, according to the design of L.N. Kekushev, built a new complex consisting of a main house, an outbuilding, a stable, and a carriage house. At the request of the owner, the casino in Monte Carlo was chosen as the prototype, which was reflected both in the general composition of the main house and in the external forms of the buildings. The abundance of open loggias, terraces, the variety of silhouettes with towers, baroque domes, lush stucco molding and sculpture both on the facades and in the interiors create an original image of the ensemble, unique for Moscow. The manor park (regular linden and landscape with ponds on the Likhoborka River) was formed in the 18th - early 19th centuries. The five-domed Znamenskaya Church was built in 1868 - 1870 by architect M.D. Bykovsky for the then owner Count E.V. Molchanov (only the central chapter has survived; restoration is underway). The wooden outbuilding and greenhouse probably date back to the same time.

Khovrinskaya Hospital, Moscow.
It is an unfinished hospital with a capacity of 1,300 beds (according to other sources, 1,500). Construction began in 1981, according to some sources, on the site of a cemetery adjacent to the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God "of the Sign" (the cemetery was liquidated in 1960), according to others, on the site of a huge swamp.

It was drained, concreted and the construction of a sub-hospital bombard began, after which construction began on a hospital with several entrances for ambulances, its own helipad and its own morgue. Construction was frozen almost before its completion (all that remained was the interior decoration) due to the fact that the hospital began to go underground at a very systematic rate of one meter per year. Previously, the entrances for ambulances were at road level, but now they are 12 meters lower, like the hospital itself...
Whether there was a swamp there or not is not known for sure, but it is known for certain that the Likhoborka River flows underground under the hospital itself (or very close to it). There is also a version that there was simply a “quicksand” underneath the hospital and, due to a mistake by geologists, the building began to “move”, cracks appeared, but one way or another, in 1985, under unclear circumstances, it stopped. At the beginning, the building was guarded by the army and was strategically important, but a year later it turned out to be completely abandoned.
They tried many times to resume construction, but to no avail.

The last time an attempt was made was in 2003 (the photo above is from that year). As for the current state of affairs (at the time of writing), then:
According to unofficial data
The hospital must be reconstructed. Moreover, by the forces of HP. In return, Luzhkov gives them 3 mansions (one on the other side of the park, the rest in the center of Moscow).

Press:
The capital's government plans to move a number of hospitals from the historical city center to the outskirts of Moscow.
City Hospital No. 23 named after Medsantrud should move from Yauzskaya Street to the Khovrino district, to Klinskaya Street. City Clinical Hospital No. 19 will go there from Bolshoi Predtechensky Lane. The vacant buildings in the center will go to the investor, who has committed to build a multidisciplinary hospital with 1,300 beds on Klinskaya Street, the Moscow Government Information Center reports.

Official data (quote from the website hov.sao.mos.ru):
The Moscow government decided to liquidate the long-term construction; in this regard, it issued an order dated June 2, 2004 No. 1089-RP “On the resumption of work on the long-term construction of a city multidisciplinary hospital with 1,300 beds at the address: Klinskaya St., no. 2 (Northern Administrative District) ".
Currently, the construction investor is developing initial permits and design documentation.

The Moscow government decided to liquidate the long-term construction; in this regard, it issued an order dated June 2, 2004 No. 1089-RP “On the resumption of work on the completion of the city multidisciplinary hospital for 1300 beds at the address: st. Klinskaya, vl. 2 (SAO).”
However, to date, work has not begun, since, according to information from the Moscow Department of Health, federal structures are claiming rights to this facility, and therefore the issue has been considered in arbitration courts for a long time.
A new clinic for residents of the area will be built no later than 2009 at the address: st. Zelenogradskaya, 27, building 1. The issue of its construction is not related to the liquidation of the existing long-term construction of a multidisciplinary hospital.

One way or another, the hospital will either be reconstructed, fortunately, this can be done:
There are two long-term construction projects in Khovrin; they are already more than 20 years old. A hospital was supposed to be located in one of the buildings on Klinskaya Street, 2. But suddenly the construction was frozen, and now I can’t even remember why. Only recently did the building attract attention again. The positive result of the examination will allow its completion. Clinical hospitals No. 19 and 23 will be located here, which by that time will be removed from the Central District of the capital
, or they will simply demolish it, as people remember this building more and more often.
The layout of the hospital is very unusual. There are 2 buildings on the territory: the main building and an ophthalmology clinic (according to other sources - a morgue).
The main building is shaped like an asterisk, or rather a biohazard sign, which is why the hospital is also often called “Umbrella” (Umbrella Corporation is a fictional pharmaceutical company engaged in research in the field of genetics and bioengineering from the series of games, and later, films, Resident Evil - Resident Evil).

6 wings extend from it, which are connected by 3 floor passages. The building itself is a 10-story structure, with 3 roof levels and a 2-4 level basement. The clinic building is a 3-story building with a 2-4 level basement. The second basement level of both buildings is partially flooded, making exploration of the other levels much more difficult.

Myths, Rumors, Legends:

Satanists, Club Nimostor (Nemostor)

One of the names of the Khovrinsk hospital is the Nemostor Club in honor of the rumored satanic sect Nemostor, which once lived here and practiced human sacrifice. They say that all the people who disappeared in Khovrinka are the work of their hands. Some say that the sect set up its church in the basement of the main building, others - in the tunnel between the main building and the second building, others - that meetings were held in the main building, and the “headquarters” of the sect leaders were equipped in the tunnel. According to rumors, at this time, people (especially children) and dogs began to disappear in the Khovrinka area, which were then sacrificed to Satan or simply killed. Black masses were also held. Soon our valiant police became aware of this and a raid was organized on the Satanists with the participation of riot police, police dogs and other paraphernalia. Again, there are two versions of further events - according to one, the Satanists were driven into the basement of the main building and shot, and then the basement was flooded (a lake that does not dry up can still be seen today), according to the other, the Satanists were squeezed into a tunnel between two buildings and the tunnel was flooded. They also say that the man who showed the cops the passage to the tunnel disappeared. For a short time the hospital remained empty, except for homeless people. Then the hospital again became a haven for Satanists - the Black Cross sect. What happened to her is unknown.
Despite the sad fate of their predecessors, Satanists still gather in the hospital after sunset and perform rituals.
But they do this no longer in the basement, but on the 5th floor of the main building. They have a special room there in the very center. The room has no windows or doors. They get there by moving the wall. No one sticks around there, not even the police, although there is a chance that they don’t know about its existence.

Hospital spirit

They say Khovrinka has a Spirit. The spirit of Nimostor - as it is called. In the semi-basement there is a hall, the walls of which are covered with satanic texts, symbols, in the Gothic style. This place is called the Nimostor Club. Now, the Spirit is there. It’s just that not everyone can smell it... Moreover, you can negotiate with him! To some my words will seem absurd, but this is so, as I say...
However, the Spirit does not touch women - according to one version, due to the fact that there were much more deaths of women during the time of the Satanists than men. This fact cannot be proven; it can only be taken on faith. I have never encountered such an atmosphere anywhere before...

The light of the lantern picked out the inscriptions on the walls: “666”, something to the glory of Satan... I remembered the story of the neighboring grandmothers. A compassionate old woman lived in a neighboring house. Somehow she lost her mongrel and decided to look for him inside the building. In one of the rooms she came across a dead dog, which she hardly recognized as her pet. His paws were tied with rope. Nearby, the grandmother found another pair of severed and tied dog paws, with which she went to the police. Law enforcement officers conducted raids for several days, but failed to detain anyone. And a week later, a pensioner who decided to track down the killers, under mysterious circumstances, fell into a trap in a bad house and died there for several days with broken legs.

Wall of Memory (Wailing), Edge.

Krayushkin Alexey Igorevich 1989-2005 He died in this building, fell into a mine... And he was only 16 years old.. The wall is completely covered with words of memory and love.. Poems.

Raf
Raf is another resident of the hospital. Information about this strange character is minimal. He is said to be the god of Umbrella. Her keeper. He is there all the time, although we won’t find him if we want to. There were cases when he saved people who had fallen into traps or were in trouble. But after assistance was provided, he disappeared again.

Mystic
There are numerous eyewitness accounts of strange shadows and sounds appearing in the hospital after dark. Moreover, these shadows have a completely definite silhouette, always the same - a dark cone.

Hmm, then around midnight I walked around the entire basement - silence, except for glitches and birds.
I fired a signal signal on the first floor - nothing at all, everything froze, even if the birds flew up, a dog barked in the distance - nothing.
went outside, some very incomprehensible movement in the area of the seventh or sixth (not light, but shadows (at night!)), took aim, the salvo hit the wall between the floors, the signal calmly falls down and then, as if someone jumped onto an iron sheet, or threw several on the floor.
According to rumors, this hospital was going to make a training ground for service dogs. So far these rumors have not come true. I found information that NSOs are training there. True, I’ve never seen them there, but you can feel their presence there. Well, everything matches from the photos.

Khovrinka basements: (And there are puppies there even now =))
This is what happens with objects: ...

Construction of the Khovrinskaya abandoned hospital began in the 1980s. It was originally planned that a large medical facility would be the pride of the city, but it was later decided that a building with a capacity of 1,300 beds would better serve the area, but construction was stopped in 1985.

Now there are rumors that they built a hospital on a former cemetery, canceled in the 60s, and also that there used to be a church there in honor of the Icon of the Mother of God “The Sign”. In fact, previously there was a landfill on this site, on which an entire Zeleneogradskaya street was later built, and directly on the site of the hospital building itself there was a swamp, which was unsuccessfully drained, as a result of which, even during the construction process, entire lakes appeared in the basement of the hospital. That’s when the construction was stopped, realizing that the project had made a serious mistake with the construction site, and if the construction of the building continued, it would simply collapse.

As for the second building, there was never a morgue or a crematorium, as many “experts” on this story claim, just as there was no imported furniture, doors, signs on the doors or plumbing in the Khovrinskaya abandoned hospital, and the military never guarded this object. At first there were several watchmen on duty, but when the collapse of the USSR began, they also left.

Nemostor in the KhZB building

In the period from the late eighties, early nineties, a sect of Satanists called Nemostor settled there. By and large, this group consisted of adherents who were considered “the scum of society,” drug addicts, alcoholics and mentally unstable people. There were, of course, normal but fanatical people among the adherents. Taking advantage of the fact that this place was quiet and not crowded, they set up their own altar in the basement for holding black masses and sacrifices. Many of the sect members lived right there.

At first, members of Nemostor brought stray animals to the territory of the Khovrinsky abandoned hospital and the sadists killed them by sacrificing them. Feeling their impunity, they set to work on the homeless and curious onlookers who came to look at the unfinished Khovrinsky building.

When the number of reports of missing people on the territory of the Khovrinskaya abandoned hospital exceeded several dozen, it was decided to conduct a raid on the sect members. Riot police arrived at the hospital. Police fired into the air and exploded flash grenades to blind cultists in dark basements lit by homemade torches and candles. As a result, several dozen people were detained, the rest fled. No one blew up any tunnel, so the story about the sectarians flooded in the basements of the Khovrinskaya abandoned hospital is nothing more than a tale. By the way, after some time, the Satanists returned to the KhZB building, but placed their altar in the central part of the building on the fifth floor.

The next people who began to settle in this place were various gangs and thugs who brought or lured people, killed and robbed them. According to data for 2004, 6 bodies were discovered in the building of the Khovrinskaya abandoned hospital, in 2006 there were 13, and in 2008 there were already 17 bodies. In general, law enforcement agencies already have more than 1,500 reports of missing people in the KhZB area.

Khovrinskaya hospital is a very dangerous facility

Regarding the numerous suicides in the territory Umbrella, as local teenagers call it, it can rather be attributed to urban legends. Only one case of suicide was recorded in the HZB building, which occurred approximately 8 years ago. 16-year-old Alexey Krayushkin threw himself from the eighth floor of a building into an elevator shaft because of unrequited love. Friends erected a memorial to him: on the 2nd floor of one of the buildings, painting the entire wall with graffiti, poems and simply farewell autographs: “The land, we mourn and remember.”

The Khovrinsky abandoned hospital itself is a very dangerous object. Multiple holes in the floor, concrete structures weakened by time, open elevator shafts. Also, protruding reinforcement rods, flights of stairs without railings, etc., can become one of the causes of death for a tourist who is not prepared and does not know the traps of HZB.

One such accident occurred in May 2011. An eighteen-year-old boy accidentally tripped and fell into the elevator shaft. And this is only one of the registered cases, and there were many similar ones that no one knows about. Many daredevils walk alone around the building in pitch darkness with a flashlight, where it is dangerous during the day and if one of them falls into a trap, it is unlikely that anyone will find him in such a huge and deserted building.

Due to the incident that occurred in 2011, it was decided to strengthen security near the Khovrinskaya abandoned hospital. She is guarded by several private security company employees with dogs.

KhZB auctioned for 1.8 billion rubles

In 2009, the Khovrinsky unfinished multidisciplinary hospital was transferred to the ownership of the city of Moscow.

In 2012, it was planned to demolish the existing buildings and construct new hospital buildings, but already in October of the same year, the buildings of the Khovrinskaya abandoned hospital, along with the land plot assigned to them, were put up for auction with an initial price of 1.8 billion rubles.

Over the long period that the Khovrinskaya abandoned hospital has existed, it has served as a habitat for many people from homeless people to goths, punks, skins, emo and other members of subcultures. Companions of the RNU and Limonovites were based in the Khovrinsky unfinished building. The “Berserkers” detachment of the NSO organization trains at the KhZB, the dogs of the Ministry of Emergency Situations undergo training, as well as training in various shooting sports.

Over time, many abandoned and gloomy objects become overgrown with various rumors and legends, but not everything is true. The Khovrinsky abandoned hospital is just such an example, when there is more fiction than truth, but telling and listening to stories is much more interesting.

In the north of Moscow, on the highway to St. Petersburg, there is a large unfinished building, terrifying local residents. The Khovrinskaya abandoned hospital, whose history goes back more than 30 years, is known throughout the country: it surrounds it too much. Our article contains 5 main myths associated with the unusual history of this building.

How did it all begin?

In 1980, an ambitious and global project began to be implemented in the USSR - the construction of the largest hospital in Moscow with 1,300 beds. This unique institution, according to various sources, 9-11 floors, with several entrances for ambulances and even a helicopter pad, was predicted to become a legend of Moscow healthcare. There was no medical institution in the Khovrino area, so the new building on Klinskaya Street was supposed to be a joyful event in the life of ordinary citizens.

However, already in 1985 construction stopped. No official reason was announced. According to the population’s assumptions, there are three prerequisites for the “freezing” of the project:

  1. Ground movement, since the building was built on a site where a river once flowed.
  2. The lack of funding during the perestroika period played a role.
  3. Mystical version: the hospital was built on the site of an old cemetery.

The building remained ownerless; no one began to dismantle the building: the project to demolish the failed hospital was too expensive. Therefore, to this day it stands and, like a magnet, attracts homeless people and people who are interested in the secrets of the other world.

HZB, Umbrella, Unfinished Construction, Nemostor - this ominous place has so many different names. Viewed from above, the hospital resembles a three-pointed star with branches. This makes it look like the famous building from the movie “Resident Evil”. That’s why Khovrinsk Hospital is often called Umbrella. This symbol from a world-famous secret pharmaceutical laboratory indicates a biological hazard. The origins of the symbol itself are in the cross of the Order of Malta.

The design of the three-story hospital included a large basement. Today, due to the partial collapse of the building, it is flooded with water: in winter and summer.

After construction was frozen, the building was guarded for another year. After the security was removed, looters began to steal government property. Then homeless people, alcoholics and young people who were thirsty for new sensations began to visit the territory. However, terrible events soon began to occur, which gave the hospital the reputation of one of the most terrible places in Moscow. What legends does this place conceal, and why are ordinary people afraid to go there?

In the dashing 90s, the Nemostor sect of Satanists firmly established itself on the territory of the hospital. According to the police, it was she who was responsible for the brutal murders in the Khovrino area.

The sect included people from different social strata, among whom there were, indeed, Satanists and spiritual practitioners. Blood rituals were often carried out in the basement. It was decided to seize and neutralize the organized group. Then during the operation it was necessary to detonate a grenade, and the fallen ceilings blocked the exit for the criminals. The situation was complicated by a large amount of water that flooded the basement where they were located. According to rumors, the souls of these Satanists still walk around the hospital grounds, instilling horror in its visitors.

Legend No. 2. Cemetery and temple

In addition to the fact that the KhZB building itself was built on the site of a former cemetery, there is another assumption that has not been documented in any way. On the territory of the churchyard there was a small church with the relics of the saint and an icon recognized as miraculous. During the formation of Soviet power, the temple was blown up and the place was cleared.

Legend No. 3. Animal death

Khovrinskaya hospital is a disastrous place for animals. Dogs and cats disappear here without a trace. In the corridors you can often find bags with the corpses of unfortunate creatures. There is a legend according to which one old woman, having lost her dog, found him on the hospital grounds with broken paws. Having complained to the police, she wanted to find the killer, but as a result, no one was found. The old woman disappeared and was found a few days later with broken legs.

According to one legend, on the lower floors of the hospital they met a dog-man whose appearance resembles an animal. But it is known for sure that stray dogs live in the basement and can harm uninvited guests.

Legend No. 4. Umbrella is one big trap

Due to cracks in the walls, collapses of the floor and ceiling, CWD poses a danger to humans. Therefore, people often received some kind of injury or injury in the building. Umbrella attracts people who try to commit suicide. Over the course of 37 years, more than a dozen people were found murdered and hanged.

Criminals who kill and rob people lure their victims to the hospital. Every year, corpses are found on the hospital grounds, and the local police department is always filled with reports of missing men and women.

Stalkers (people who explore dangerous and little-studied places on the planet) in Moscow know the address of the Khovrinskaya hospital. They are attracted by the mysteries and legends of this place. Representatives of stalking note strange sounds in dark corridors and children crying.

Correspondents and reporters who visited the abandoned hospital note an unusual cold, as well as strange spots in the air that are recorded by cameras. It is believed that the hospital building is guarded by a certain spirit - Raf. He is recognized as the patron saint of lost people and saves human lives from the clutches of death, leading people out of tangled corridors.

All this only increases the glory of the HZB as a place of dark power and misfortune.

Special places on the hospital grounds

Stalkers who come to the KhZB building from all over Moscow note several unusual places, especially memorable to local residents:

  • Memorial to suicide Alexey Krayushkin. He jumped into an elevator shaft out of unrequited love. The teenager was just over 16 years old when he decided to take his own life. The memorial site is located in one of the hospital buildings on the 2nd floor.
  • Nemostor. The legendary satanic sect, whose symbols are depicted in the basement of the main building, still attracts curious people, although none of its representatives are no longer alive. Perhaps there wasn't even one.
  • 5th floor of the main building. It is believed that somewhere among the corridors there is a secret, sliding wall. What is behind it is unknown, but everyone is trying to find it. Still no results.
  • The famous inscription: “This hospital is a land of miracles, I went into it and disappeared there.”

Almost all deaths on hospital grounds are accidents that occurred due to stupidity or negligence.

The hospital is being destroyed, but developing a project to demolish this building costs more than a million rubles. By 2015, the building had settled, the walls and ceilings had collapsed, and its height had decreased by 12 meters due to the movement of swampy soil.

There were several attempts to resume construction, but something always got in the way.

In 2012, it was planned to demolish individual buildings and still build a hospital by constructing a new building. But by the end of the year, this project was again revised, and KhZB was sold at auction to the Moscow authorities. They, in turn, resold this building to a private individual in 2015. The main condition is the demolition of the entire building, since this hospital cannot be repaired, restored or renewed.

The deadline announced by the city authorities for the building to be demolished is the end of 2017. They plan to build a multifunctional modern housing complex on the site of the KhZB, so that nothing will resemble ominous events and terrible stories.

To prevent misfortunes, since 2009, police officers have been conducting raids to detect and remove persons who enter the hospital premises. The building is surrounded by a fence and is guarded 24 hours a day by private security guards.

Many teenagers, stalkers and lovers of everything unusual are attracted to the Khovrinskaya abandoned hospital, which contains many secrets and mysteries, and even more - unconfirmed rumors and gossip. But it is worth recalling that none of this has received documentary evidence. Therefore, it’s definitely not worth risking your life in vain in a dilapidated building.

Khovrinskaya Hospital is a place about which legends are already being made. A huge abandoned building is located in Moscow, in its Northern District. It is also called "Khovrinka". The building looks terrifying - you can safely shoot horror films on its territory and inside. However, first things first.

Story

Khovrinskaya hospital began construction in 1980. For several years, workers erected a multi-story high-rise building. But five years later, the construction of the Khovrinskaya hospital was suspended indefinitely. And from that moment on, the building is considered unfinished and abandoned. The Khovrinskaya Hospital, whose location is indicated in the Khovrino district (on Klinskaya Street, 2), was built according to the design of several architects. It was planned to build a building in a brutalist style and, I must say, the idea was realized - deliberate rudeness and sharp forms are clearly visible in the image of a tall, bulky and intimidating structure. Not only does the Khovrinskaya abandoned hospital already look creepy, these stylistic features only once again emphasize its wildness.

Building deformation

It’s interesting that the Khovrinskaya abandoned hospital looks like a three-pointed star from above, and even with branches at the ends. In the middle there are three wings, and due to the side parts, three courtyards were formed, which were immediately occupied by additional outbuildings. It is also worth noting that very close to the main building there is another small building - it was planned to be allocated for the pathology and anatomy department.

Due to the fact that the Khovrinskaya Hospital in Moscow was not completed, in many places there are no ceilings and fragments of walls. What can we say about the basements - they were flooded a long time ago with water, which significantly wetted the concrete. Many people are interested in the question “why the Khovrinsky hospital was not completed.” The most popular version claims that there was simply not enough money for the work. Some people say that the project itself was a failure - it was not developed well enough, and the building began to slowly go underground. This was clarified by specially conducted geological exploration.

It is worth noting that in the place where the Khovrinskaya abandoned hospital is now located, a stream used to flow. More precisely, there was the Likhoborka River and a fairly extensive wetland. In addition, there were treatment facilities for the boarding house, which was located next to this territory. Well, even with such general data about the past of this place, we can say with confidence that the geological situation is absolutely not suitable for construction. For example, in 2014 it was discovered that the first floor of this building had practically “gone” underground.

Legends and scary stories

Khovrinskaya Hospital is practically a legendary building. It is incredibly popular among lovers of all kinds of scary stories. In addition, this building is one of the creepiest places in Moscow. Stalkers call this object “Umbrella” - it’s all because of its shape. Its appearance resembles the corporation logo from the film “Resident Evil”. And approximately the same symbol indicates places where there is a threat of biological hazard. There is another name that sounds like “Nemostor”. It is associated with a Moscow legend about a sect of Satanists who used to gather in a hospital building to hold black masses.

This mysterious place is the Khovrinskaya hospital. The story that happened here several years ago still amazes people hearing it for the first time. This is a story about a suicide. The guy, whom his friends nicknamed Krai, jumped from the eighth floor into an elevator shaft. The cause of suicide was unrequited love. It was a very young guy. Today, few people look into that place - they are afraid. The walls of the eighth floor are painted with memorial inscriptions such as “Edge, you are with us forever!”, “We will remember you, Edge!” etc. But the creepiest thing is the single word “Jump” with an arrow drawn from it towards that same ill-fated mine.

There are also a lot of flowers, poems on the walls and cigarettes. The most famous lines sound like this: “The hospital is a land of miracles... I went into it and disappeared there.” A chilling couplet. It became a prophecy for all the people who lost their lives in Umbrella.

Continuation of a story

By the way, a memorial was erected to that guy, Krai. You can see it if you enter the clinic from the park. In the immediate vicinity of the memorial there is an eerie room - dark, abandoned, like the entire hospital... In it they found the body of a young man who fell from the eighth floor. Above the entrance to the room you can see many inscriptions warning that entry is strictly prohibited - after all, the soul of the Land rests there. Perhaps this is so - no one knows. And even if he does know, he’s unlikely to tell anyone...

The spectacle is not for the faint of heart

The Khovrinsk hospital claimed many lives. The legends about her are numerous, and many are not fiction at all, but real stories. If you want to get inside, then first you should think carefully: is it necessary at all? And first make sure that your nerves are strong. Dead animals, bones, skulls, garbage, red spots - all this is to be seen. By the way, there really are a lot of dead dogs inside. There are even several stories about this.

One of them says that in a house located not far from the clinic, there lived a little old woman who had a dog. One day, an elderly woman lost her and decided to go to the hospital to look for her. She found her in one room. More precisely, these were the remains of an unfortunate animal. Someone tied his paws with a rope, and several more of these poor fellows lay nearby. The grandmother went to the police and showed them evidence in the form of severed and bound dog paws. They tried to organize a raid, but nothing worked, and the operation, which lasted several days, did not bring any results. Therefore, the old woman decided to track down the rapists on her own. And she died. As you might guess, the circumstances were very vague and suspicious - she fell into a trap, broke her legs and slowly died over the course of several days, unable to call for help.

Mystic

The hospital building was erected on an old abandoned cemetery. This fact gives this place even more mystery and wildness. And the number of beds for which the hospital was supposed to be designed was 1300. The first two digits of the number also make you think - a damn dozen... of course, some may consider all this to be superstition, but if this were so, this hospital would be considered a place , where Evil is reborn, and would all these stories exist?

Modern Umbrella

Where the Khovrinskaya hospital is located is never empty. This place is haunted and ghostly, filled with the screams and cries of children and strange sounds occasionally coming from the depths of the rooms at night. Whether this is true or not - only those people who have seen and heard it with their own eyes know. However, there are so many mysteries about this place and so many inexplicable phenomena happened here that you can believe what is said.

Umbrella also has "permanent residents". These are, of course, homeless people. There are a lot of them. And they live there together with Raf. This is the god of Umbrella. There is not enough information about this character, but it did not appear out of nowhere. Raf guards Umbrella, and he is there all the time. It happened that he saved people who fell into traps or got into trouble. However, then he disappeared until an indefinite period.

Khovrinskaya Hospital is a place where the most unusual personalities flock, so to speak. These are skins, emo, goths, punks... In general, representatives of a wide variety of subcultures. They managed to drive out the Satanists, but these people came to replace them. But there are also normal “visitors” there. For example, in the hospital they train emergency response dogs.

No entry allowed

Khovrinskaya Hospital in Moscow is a forbidden place. All the people mentioned above (with the exception of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and sniper training groups) must overcome obstacles in order to get inside. The hospital grounds are guarded by dogs and a private security agency. The fact is that this clinic is not just a mysterious legend. It's also a murder scene. There were simply an incredible number of them here. An unsafe place: a girl was killed here in 1990, and a photographer was attacked in 2011. This is in addition to numerous suicides. The hospital seems to attract disadvantaged people. That is why, so that no more misfortunes would happen here, the building was fenced with barbed wire and security was installed. However, some people, hypnotized by the desire to explore everything in the bowels of this mysterious building, still end up inside.

Dangers

Sagging concrete, protruding rusty reinforcement, collapsing walls, darkness, heights, open elevator shafts - all this poses both physical and psychological danger to people trapped inside. Of course, many still want to go to the hospital. Fans of arthouse photography, individuals who like such a oppressive atmosphere, fans of mysticism.

This building has become so popular that in mid-2015 it is planned to begin filming a documentary film based on real events, the title of which is “Khovrino”. The plot, naturally, is about the hospital and everything that happened and continues to happen in it. Many are looking forward to this film - who knows, what if we manage to learn something new?

Plans Fail

How many times they tried to demolish this unfinished complex - nothing worked. The hospital seems to be alive - as if it does not want to be demolished. In 2009, the complex was transferred to the ownership of the capital. At the same time, they drew up a regulation on the demolition of existing buildings and structures, but suddenly an investor appeared who promised to deal with this building and exchanged it for a new plot of land. But then this man mysteriously disappeared. Three years later, in 2012, a new regulation was made on the demolition of this building, however, this plan did not come true - a few months later the building was put up for auction, setting its price at 1,800,000,000 rubles. This is too cosmic an amount for such a structure.

In 2014, the capital's deputy mayor for construction assured that this building would be sold in 2015 so that it could be demolished and a new hospital built. In March of this year, this issue was considered again. Well, who knows how events will develop further. But for now, the building where Evil itself is reborn stands in its place.

The Khovrinskaya abandoned hospital promised to become a large medical center, but construction was suspended, which is why the unfinished building fell into disrepair every year until it acquired an unattractive appearance. The building is located in Moscow at the address: st. Klinskaya, 2, building 1, so for those who are interested in how to get to the place, just look at the map. Over the years of its existence, the hospital has acquired notoriety, so its history is overgrown with myths and legends, sometimes quite unpleasant for human perception.

The history of the Khovrinsky abandoned hospital

The initial plan was global; the project was supposed to create the largest hospital with 1,300 beds with modern equipment and highly qualified personnel. Construction began in 1980, but by 1985 all work was abandoned. The question arises why they didn’t complete the construction, because the idea seemed promising at that time.

Two reasons are put forward. The first is due to a lack of budget, since at that time it was not easy to implement such a global project. The second reason became more significant, since only five years later it was discovered that the soil was not suitable for such a large-scale structure. Previously, a river flowed at the site of the KhZB, so the soil in this area turned out to be swampy. Over time, the building would begin to move from side to side and gradually sink underground.

Unusual design that has become a magnet for stalkers

According to the architects' idea, the hospital was built in the form of a star with three rays, each of which branched at the ends. When viewed from above, the building looks like a sign from the game "Resident Evil". That is why stalkers nicknamed the Khovrinsk abandoned hospital - Umbrella, because that is the name of the symbol of the popular game.

Extreme youth often visit the passages of an abandoned hospital, overcoming dilapidated obstacles and organizing dangerous games. Such entertainment can end very badly, because some floors are not fully completed, there are no windows in the building, and the stairs are out of order. But experienced ruin explorers know how to get to the most inaccessible places, which is why they are regulars here.

Myths and legends surrounding the building

It is believed that previously on the site of the hospital there was a temple with rare relics, as well as a small cemetery. Many claim that ghosts roam the floors of the abandoned building in search of shelter. These are a kind of spirits that protect the holy place from large crowds of people.

In fact, there have never been any buildings on this site, because a river used to flow here. Due to improper drainage, when the main part of the building was built, the hospital began to flood. There is always water in the basement, and the first floor is already partially buried in the soil. So mysticism has nothing to do with it, just another old children's horror story.

There are stories among people that people who want to commit suicide are drawn to the HZB. This would not be surprising, since the building is deserted and depressing, but in fact, only one accident has happened here in all this time. Alexey Krayushkin could not survive the breakup with his girlfriend, stood on the edge of the roof and jumped from the hospital. His friends organized a memorial on the second floor, where the walls are painted with poems and graffiti-style pictures are painted everywhere. Young people still make excursions to the hospital, bring flowers and admire the philosophical inscriptions.

The whole truth about the abandoned hospital

But some still had to say goodbye to life here, because the abandoned place was chosen by Satanists. At first, stray animals were deprived of their lives, but impunity allowed fanatics to take a different look at the possibilities of this place. There are stories of people disappearing, but this information has not been officially confirmed.

It is worth mentioning that the Khovrinskaya abandoned hospital is in bad standing with the police, since every year people are found here who have passed on to another world. According to official data, the average number of such cases per year reaches 15, but the figures may be significantly underestimated. Photos of these people are accumulated in the unsolved cases of the local police station, but it is not possible to change the situation.

It was here that the girl said goodbye to life forever in 1990, but it was never possible to find out who did it and why. It is believed that representatives of various criminal groups often come here at night to deal with their enemies or competitors.

Does the hospital have a future?

Many people wonder why the abandoned building, which is a magnet for criminal outrage and poses a potential danger to everyone who decides to enter these properties, is not demolished. The question of who owns the hospital and when the useless building will be demolished has been raised more than once, but only now the authorities have come to a consensus. Demolition is tentatively expected at the end of summer 2016, but due to constant schedule delays, it remains to be seen how long the site will remain standing.

At the moment, the area is closed and guarded so that the things that happened here do not happen again. However, there are always visitors who are looking for ways to get inside the hospital. For those who don’t yet know where the hospital is located, you can get off at the Rechnoy Vokzal metro station and look at it. Reviews of the Khovrinskaya abandoned hospital spread throughout the country, from the Koverninsky district to the Far East, which is why it became known as a kind of abode of evil in our country.
